The group found themselves in vast room, which was dominated by a hologram of the planet Earth. As they watched, the hologram showed Earth going through all its ages. Throughout the ages, various names and dates were displayed.

"I wonder what that means?" Lynda asked.

"I think those names are wathans, people like us," Sarah Jane said. "All through the history of Earth."

"The Ethicals have been busy," Garth said. He looked around and saw what appeared to be screens on all the walls. "This might be a database."

"Database? What's that?" Olga asked.

"Well," Garth replied and explained.

A database, Sarah Jane thought. Who knows what information could be contained here.

"This can't be a coincidence," Lynda said. "This was left here for us to find."

"I agree." Sarah Jane said.

"I wonder what for?" Olga asked.

"Perhaps to prepare the way for others who will come here," Garth said. He pointed to the hologram. "If this thing is any indication, there will be a lot of them."

Yes, that sounds right, Sarah Jane thought.

Garth, Sarah Jane, and Lynda were standing outside the tower. There were decisions to be made. "I'm staying here," Sarah Jane said and indicated the tower. "There are secrets in there, and I think I'm the one to ferret them out."

"I'm staying here too, but for a different reason," Garth said. "Mr. Tesla is going to put me to work."

"Really? Doing what?" Lynda asked.

"For starters, he wants me to build more sonic lances," Garth replied. "We can use them to open up more of this planet for the settlers we know are coming. Also, we can due some decent mining. Who knows what we'll find." He smiled. "I'm already planning to build a house for us."

"Us?" Sarah Jane said, although she already knew the answer."

"Da," Olga said as she joined them. "Garth and I will make a life together. Who knows what future will bring."

Yes, who knows, Sarah Jane thought.

"I'm going back to the Huckleberry Sawyer," Lynda said. "After all, someone has to track down the new arrivals and tell them what's going on."

"And I can't think of anyone more perfect, " Sarah Jane said.

"Thanks, Sarah," Lynda said. "Well, I better be off. Until I see you all again, take care." With that, Lynda headed back over to where Sam was waiting.

"Well," Sarah Jane said as she turned to Garth. "I want to wish you well, Eck... Garth. I know that everyone here has been right all along. What you were on Peladon, that doesn't matter here. To new beginnings." She stuck out her hand.

"New beginnings," Garth said and he and Sarah Jane shook hands.

Some time later, Sarah Jane was standing in the tower, looking at the hologram of Earth, and the database. She knew that it could take time for her to learn all its secrets. Perhaps I might even find a way to go back to Earth, she thought. However, for now, she had much to keep her busy. "Well," Sarah Jane said to herself. "Time to get started."
