Georgina was feeling a little lost as Charlotte was busy with Sidney. She was in two minds about Charlotte and Sidney. She couldn't get over the fact that Charlotte wanted to marry Sidney.

The majority of her experiences with Sidney had been difficult and their relationship was full of conflict. He had been an unreliable and at time a uncompassionate guardian. He certainly had changed since meeting Charlotte. Her friend had tamed his wild nature and Georgina seen him trying to be more compassionate towards her. Georgina had always had had a romantic at heart and it was very courageous and romantic that Sidney put his body on the line for the woman he loved. Georgina hoped that there would be someone who would be willing to do the same thing for her someday.

Charlotte had told her the details surrounding the events after Sandition and helped Georgina view softened towards her guardian. To be fair she had made some rash decisions and caused him great concern. She couldn't doubt his love for her friend and was truly concerned for her guardian's health. She had visited him and was shocked by his appearance. The fear on Mary and Charlotte's faces was evident and there had been a real chance of losing Sidney. She knew that once he was much better she would have to ask him for forgiveness and genuinely wanted to have a better relationship with him.

Now that Sidney was out of danger and recovering Georgina's mind was turning to other matters. Since socialising with Charlotte, Susan and Thomas Georgina had been given a taste of a finer life. She was encouraged to expand her mind and particularly found Lord Thomas interesting. He was very different to Ottis who always pushed her to do things. She admitted to herself that he had taken advantage of her state of mind and her need to be loved. She had been lonely and missed her home. He was handsome and made her feel special but thinking back he was always asking her for things. He had also made the point of discounting her father and Sidney. She realised her distrust for Sidney originated from Ottis.

She was contemplating these matters when Thomas interrupts her thoughts by entering the room. She always felt butterflies in her stomach when he looked at her and he always seemed to find her in the house. She knew he was looking for her as his eyes sparkled when he focused his attention on her. "Good morning Miss Lamb". In his deep baritone voice. "Have you any plans today? Lady Susan is attending a morning tea and has asked me to go with her because Charlotte is busy. I am also attending so we will be going together."

Georgina smiled and was relieved that there would be another person who knew her. He also had a gift of including her in conversations and protecting her from nasty women who wanted to bring up the fact that her mother had been a slave. "I am glad that you are coming with us Lord Thomas" giving him a shy smilie and was rewarded with a smile but also intense stare that he only gave her. She knew it was something as she had witnessed this interaction between Sidney and Charlotte. Sidney always looked at Charlotte in an intense way and his face always softened in her presence. Charlotte always told her it made a woman feel special and know that the man only sought her.

Georgina was beginning to understand this and was looking forward to the event.
