Paw Patrol X: The Hearts of Truth
Nephilim arc Episode seven: Flare and Marshall's Heart of Truth
Nathan Sharp's cover of the Overlord opening theme played with Charm's eyes opening after a transition of sorts. Flare was then shown to be blocking a punch from Trickery as Nathan Sharp was heard singing. "Can someone give me the (Flare kicks at Trickery, who dodges the kick with ease) a-answer, (Marshall is shown to be tending to a wound Skye gained in the fight) to my (Richie is shown to be shooting at Charm, who dodges the bullets with ease) que-estion? (Chase is shown to be taking out some robots with Snow beside her) Where's my (Rocky and Everest smash a robot's head into the ground with full force) soul?"
A stream of grass was shown as the words Paw Patrol appeared on the screen from gun shots going though them, followed up by the X being made with two sword slashes as the music continued. The Hearts of Truth then appeared through a blazing flame going across them with the Paw Patrol then shown, leading up to Flare giving a peace sign as the song continued with the lyrics coming back.
Flare was shown to be gaining some kind of dark power during his battle with Trickery. "It's like a virus in my body (Flare dashes at Trickery and grabs his neck) while I'm (Flare starts choking Trickery, who likes the feel of the moment, disgusting Flare) dreaming. (Marshall finishes tending to Skye's wound and gives her a thumbs up) When I wake up, all that's (Marshall scratches his head and laughs innocently as he looks at the screen with his eyes closed) left of me are bones."
Richie was shown regaining his balance after a brutal kick from Charm as the song continued. "I'm in a panic! (Richie dashes at Charm and aims a punch at him) Get out, (Charm grabs Richie's fist with Richie trying to knee him but failing) hurry. (Chase throws a soldier at Snow with full force) Oh there are mysteries, (Snow kicks the head of the soldier, knocking him out instantly) and many miseries. (Rocky is seen roundhouse kicking a soldier to the floor) Dead of alive, I'm on the brink (Everest stomps on the soldier's face and kicks him aside brutally with a creepy smile) of self destruction."
Skye was watching the battle before grabbing a gun and aiming it at some soldiers "As I'm (Skye starts shooting the soldiers, catching the others attention) roaming, (Rubble gives a thumbs up to Skye) from left to right to (Skye smiles in response to Rubble's gesture) An invitation, (Zuma is shown to be casually using a soldier as a pinata) to come disappear . (Flare knocks Trickery to the ground and glares at him furiously) We're dancing one, two, three steps (Flare snaps out of his trance and grabs his head, gaining an immense headache) on this dark stage."
Charm was rising up in an elevator as he looked at all of the destruction he was causing in certain towns and cities. "Raise your flag, march and fight. Break your mask and show some pride! (Charm takes out a soda can and takes a sip with a proud smile) While this war just sends a shiver down my crooked spine. (Charm is shown to be speaking about the future) Wars and swords, tears and blood. Feel my heart begin to race. (Charm chuckles devilishly as he gives an evil grin) As I laugh through this bloodbath we've made!" Charm is shown to be in Flare's nightmare, waking him up and giving him anxiety.
Richie was shown to be having some kind of demonic surge in his body that he tried to fight back "Can someone give me the (Rocky is shown to be trying to get to Richie with Marshall holding him back) a-answer, to my (Flare rushes over to Richie without warning once he sees that he starts turning evil) que-estion? (Flare hugs Richie, who smiles upon his gesture, only to suddenly go crazy again without warning) Where's my soul? Where's my heart? (Richie's body heats up and ends up sending Flare back, sending him into a tree) Am I losing my own self?"
Rocky was shown looking at his sword in some sort of bus, seeming to be on edge about how the mission went. "Don't you hesitate, go this way-ay-ay. (Flare looks over at Rocky, seeing that he's feeling down about something) I don't know. And I don't care. (Flare puts his paw on Rocky's shoulder to comfort him with a smile) Tell me, are you not entertained now?"
Richie was fighting back against his demons in his mind with his power as he slashed at his demonic side with his sword "I'll just keep (Richie's demonic side grabs his sword and crushes it) surviving, (Richie kicks his demonic side, sending it back with full force) I just cannot hide it all. (Rocky is looking at a picture of him and Richie with sadness surrounding him) I am not to fall a victim, (Rocky punches the wall out of rage and sadness) I'll continue living in this, (Zuma puts a paw on Rocky's shoulder, who starts cring and hugs him) misery driven (Zuma pats Rocky's back, knowing he's going through a hard time) world!" Flare was sitting under a tree as he thought about Richie with Snow walking up to him to see how he was doing. Flare clenched his fists with confidence that they could save Richie as the song ended with Paw Patrol X: The Hearts of Truth being shown above him.
Ryder was in the top floor of the lookout with the Paw Patrol coming up in the elevator as all the pups except Rocky ran out. Rocky then exited with a proud look on his face, indicating that the giant green gas cloud in the elevator had come from him. Ryder decided to just go ahead and cut to the chase, since he knew this was more important than whatever went down in the elevator. "Now that you're all here, I think I can safely say that we found the second Heart of Truth."
This caught Flare and Marshall's attention with Flare being beyond excited as he dashed up to Ryder and jumped up to his chest, holding onto his jacket as he spoke up. "Does that mean Marshall and I are gonna get laser powers or something!?"
"I'd imagine so Flare. Richie's Heart of Truth does wonders for him." Ryder replied happily, leaving Flare to gain stars in his eyes as he thought about all the possible things he could do with his and Marshall's Heart of Truth. "I should let you know however that you two will be sharing the power. It'll only be at full power when you work together."
Marshall picked Flare off of Ryder and set him down, rubbing his head as he stated how easy he felt that'd be. "That shouldn't be too hard. Flare may be dense but he's also cooperative."
"Just think about it Marshall. We could be defeating Charm by tomorrow!" Flare was more than happy to express how excited he was for this turn of events, knowing it was going to be the most awesome time of his life. "Once we get as good with our Heart of Truth as Richie was with his we'll be able to change our fur color and fly around and everything. And we'll be so strong that no one can stand in our way, even if they cheat! (Stands on Marshall's back proudly) We, the Dalmatian brothers, flex on evil and save the world!"
Everyone started laughing at Flare's silly behavior with Chase having to admit that it could actually happen. "We'll see about that Flare."
Ryder opened up the location of the Heart of Truth on the TV so he could describe exactly where it was for the team to see. "It's located somewhere around the coast of the town known as Foggybottom. Mayor Goodway and Mayor Humdinger are friendly rivals, so he shouldn't have any issue letting us look for it there so long as we don't cause too big of a disaster."
Flare got a good look at the screen and saw that it was covered in fog, but it didn't have too much to do with the latter part of the name. "I don't see the bottom part Ryder. Did the guy who was supposed to make it go on vacation at the time."
Rocky laughed a bit as he corrected what Flare was thinking about the town's name. "No Flare, that's just the part they chose to match together with the word foggy. I don't know why though."
Ryder took up a control panel as he explained who he would want to come with him for his mission. "I'm gonna need at least four of you to come with me. Flare and Marshall, you two are obvious picks since the Heart of Truth is connected to you two."
"I won't let you down!"
"I'm fired up!"
Ryder chose the other two members carefully, picking Chase first, since he knew he'd be ready with his spy equipment. "Chase. Your spy equipment should be able to help us find the Heart of Truth a lot faster than anyone else."
"Super spy Chase is on the case!"
Ryder then picked the last member, which was Rubble, knowing exactly what he could do. "Rubble. The Heart of Truth could potentially be deep underground. Think you can manage your pack digger's ability to dig deeper than a few feet.
"I can dig ya up an artifact mate. Rubble on the double!"
Ryder was glad that he had his team for the mission, ready for when they would set out. "Alright then. The Paw Patrol is on a roll. Get your equipment and then we should be in Foggybottom in ten to twenty minutes." Flare and Marshall hi fived with Rubble winking to Chase, who was surprised by it, but smiled and fist bumped Rubble anyway.
Ryder and the pups he picked were in Foggybottom as Ryder was explaining the situation to Mayor Humdinger. "So we were hoping you wouldn't mind us searching the beach here to find the Heart of Truth. We shouldn't need to cause any major damage since Chase has his spy equipment on him."
"Well even if it wasn't to save the world Ryder, I'd be more than happy to let you do your work." Mayor Humdinger happily stated, much to the joy of Ryder and his chosen team. "And if you're wondering, yes, I do intend on competing in that spiciest chili contest Mayor Goodway is hosting."
Flare was surprised to hear about that and spoke up as he walked up to Ryder and Mayor Humdinger. "I actually didn't even know about that."
"Well it's private to the public eye for now, but we're going to be announcing it tomorrow." Mayor Humdinger explained, much to Flare's excitement, espeically since he knew Rocky would love to compete in that. "I felt it wouldn't hurt to bring it up since we were going to announce it to the public soon anyway."
"Not a problem at all Mayor Humdinger. I think Rocky would love to hear about this actually." Ryder told Mayor Humdinger, and then he got back onto his ATV, ready to get to finding the Heart of Truth. "Cmon pups. Let's find that Heart of Truth." Ryder and the pups drove off with Mayor Humdinger wiping the dust off of his coat with a smile as he walked off.
Ryder and his chosen team were at the Foggybottom beach, hopping onto the ground to start their search. Chase had already taken his spy goggles out and started looking under the sand, finding something that interested him and signaled Rubble to start digging there. When he finished after about five seconds, Chase pulled out a pretty looking seashell and put it into his bag. "Thought I'd get Skye a souvenir once I saw it."
Rubble nodded with approval, glad to see that Chase was treating his girlfriend with respect. Ryder was looking for the Heart of Truth as well, having some sort of device out that could detect the Heart of Truth's energy. Once he found something that matched said energy, he called over to Rubble. "Rubble, I think I found it!"
"Comin Ryder!" Rubble ran over to Ryder and saw where he was pointing, taking his shovel out again so he could begin. "Let's dig it baby."
Once Rubble started digging, Chase walked over to the others as Flare had a question on his mind. "Hang on. Why did we need Chase's spy goggles if you were just gonna use that metal detector clone thing to find it?"
"Twice the luck." Ryder explained, and then when Rubble hit something, he dug it up and tossed a bright white orb up to Ryder. The device was beeping like crazy when Ryder put it up to the object, confirming that it was the Heart of Truth. "I think this is it. (Puts the device away) Let's keep looking just in case."
"Good call Ryder. You can never be too careful." Marshall responded, and the others got to searching as Flare took notice to a light and walked over to it, leaving Marshall to see him doing so. "Flare?"
Marshall ran up to Flare as he arrived at the light with the younger brother moving the vines and seeing a glowing orb. It was a bright red and Flare felt it would help them in their mission. "Marshall, go get Ryder. Maybe we both have our own." Marshall nodded and ran over to where Ryder and the others were, leaving Flare to look at the orb and smile as he admired the glow coming from it.
Flare and the others had arrived back at the lookout with Chase showing Skye the seashell he found for her and letting her kiss his cheek as he put it on her pup tag. Ryder was taking a look at both of the objects, finding that they both reacted heavily to the Heart of Truth detector. He wasn't sure why this was, or why the book on the Hearts of Truth didn't say anything on there being three Hearts of Truth. Flare looked at the Hearts of Truth in awe, wondering which one would be his. "So there are THREE Hearts of Truth. (Pulls out the Hearts of Truth book) This book's a liar."
Snow came outside and saw the Hearts of Truth, being curious to see what they had to offer. "So this is what we have before us." Snow looked at the Hearts of Truth and found the shining on both of them to be impressive. "Not too shabby."
"We're still trying to find out why the book never mentioned there being a third one." Marshall brought up, wondering if they should consider this a good thing or a bad thing. "And in spite of the surprise, on one hand we'll be able to use our max power without too much help and face off against Charm full swing. But on the other hand, one of these could be a fake and a part of Charm's plan." Flare decided to touch the red orb, since he hadn't done so yet and had relied on Rubble's shovel before, leading to the orb going inside of him, much to everyone's shock.
Flare started bugging out a bit with Marshall grabbing him and Snow staying close to keep him from falling on the ground if he fainted. "Flare, are you okay!?"
Flare stopped bugging out and held his head, revealing that he was having some kind of vision as he then stated what he saw. "I saw another vision. One with me getting super mad and breaking things." Everyone was concerned for Flare after he said this, leaving him to wonder what it all meant. "Will this be like when I freaked out on Charm that time he destroyed that city?"
Marshall put a paw on his brother's shoulder, not ready to let him turn to the dark side. "There's no way I'll let that happen." Marshall hugged Flare, who smiled with Snow smiling as well, patting Flare's back for support.
Snow then noticed that the white orb was still there and that it was probably Marshall's to take. She picked it up and showed it to him, wanting to see if he was ready to see what flare just saw, and also to see what Marshall's vision would be. "Better not leave your brother hanging hear Marshall. If his vision meant something then the vision you get from this orb will mean something too."
Marshall wasn't quite sure if he was ready to take the orb yet, wanting to wait until he felt comfortable having a nasty vision, assuming that was what happened. He figured that if Flare's Heart of Truth vision was as dangerous as it was, then Marshall could wait at least a little bit before seeing his own vision. "I think I'll wait a bit on that one Snow. A vision of World War III can wait."
Snow snickered a bit, finding Marshall's thought on what the vision to be a bit over the top. "Cmon dude, if Flare's vision was about World War III then he would've been traumatized by it and probably not even wanna talk about it." Marshall saw Snow's point with Snow putting the orb down in the hopes that Marshall wouldn't wait too long. "But I hear ya. I wouldn't wanna have a vision like that either. Especially if it involved Everest dying in a deadly fashion."
"What's this about how screwed up I am?" The others saw Everest coming over to them as she sat up on the table and looked at Marshall specifically. "Maybe the vision has us starting a family and owning a strip club that allows all gender identities. Heck, maybe the way I die is by saving the world with our final make out session."
Marshall wasn't sure how to feel about that with Flare asking a question on the topic. "Does that make God horny?"
"I doubt it Flare." Snow clarified while laughing at what he just said, leaving Marshall confused as to what would make Everest think of something like that. Everest then scooted over to Marshall and leaned in close, giving him a seductive smile that made him lovestruck beyond belief.
Flare was in the living room as he thought about the vision he had with a sight of him choking Charm being shown in the mix. On one hand he found the chance to fight Charm again to have its benefits due to him having time to stop his evil deeds for good. On the other hand however, he saw that he would turn to the dark side and force Charm to work alongside him, which was even worse than fighting off against Charm on the good side. Flare wasn't sure what to think about the situation so he sat up and looked into the mirror in his pup house.
As Flare looked in the mirror, he saw his normal self, bubbly, optimistic, air-headed, playful, and friendly. However, once he looked in a little closer, he saw a dark version of himself that made him yelp and back up a bit. This version of Flare showed a cold, cynical, sadistic, and ruthless persona, one that Flare never wished to have. Flare had immense fear in his eyes when seeing this and held his heart tightly, begging himself not to turn into what it was that he just saw.
Seeing his dark self made Flare extremely concerned for the future, leading to him lying down and looking up at the ceiling of his pup house. He didn't want to abandon his friends for any reason, especially not one that involved him turning on them and joining the side of evil. He got under his blanket and went to sleep, showing his fear in his eye squinting and holding Captain Chocolate Farts even more tightly than usual. His whimpers also gave off a sense of dread and sadness, showing that he wasn't just ignoring this like it was a walk in the park.
Flare was still lying down in bed, being awoken by something that terrified him and caused him to shout out the name of a loved one. "Marshall!" Flare started breathing once he realized he was back in the real world, knowing that he couldn't just harp on that vision forever. "I gotta do something about this."
Flare continued to sit on his bed as Marshall came in, being concerned for his younger brother. "Flare, what's wrong?" Flare hugged Marshall as soon as he heard his voice, leaving Marshall to figure out what was going on. "You having a nightmare about that vision you saw?" Flare pulled Marshall away and nodded his head yes as Marshall saw that Flare didn't want to lose everyone close to him. "It'll be okay Flare. I'll never let anything like that happen to you."
"I know." Flare responded, still worried about how serious this was going to be. "But what if doing the bare minimum isn't enough? What if it ends up taking more than that to get through this?"
Marshall saw Flare's point and rubbed his head, knowing that he and the others would do whatever it took to find a solution. "If it ever got to where you were close to becoming evil, I'd do everything in my power to stop it. Even find a way to suppress your energy from your heart in a non-lethal way if I had to." Flare hugged Marshall again with Marshall wrapping his arms around his younger brother.
Flare smiled softly when he saw this, knowing that he could trust Marshall to help him. "I'll be ready for it then. Same as you and the others." Marshall got an idea for how he could help Flare, deciding to do what he could with his Heart of Truth.
Marshall was sitting in front of his Heart of Truth as Flare sat next to him and Chase sat across from the table. Marshall was staring dead center at the Heart of Truth and knew he was about to see a lot of crazy stuff once he touched it. He was hoping some of it would be more hopeful than what Flare saw, leaving Flare to put a paw on his brother's shoulder for support. Flare had to admit that he felt bad for making Marshall do this in a way, not wanting him to go through with this if he wasn't ready for what he was about to see from it. "You don't have to do this Marshall."
Marshall was determined to help Flare, and if touching the Heart of Truth could help with that, then he was more than ready to face the future. "I want to." Marshall touched the heart of truth and saw a vision that was a bit more hopeful than Flare's, showing Marshall reaching out to Flare and pulling him out of something. When Flare tugged on Marshall's arm with concern, Marshall looked at him with a smile. "I saw myself pulling you out of something, and it looked like it was working in our favor."
Flare felt a bit more hopeful thanks to Marshall's vision, hoping he got the right idea from it. "Does that mean there's a chance you'll be able to stop me from turning to the dark side?" Marshall nodded his head yes, making Flare smile as he hugged Marshall, who wrapped his arm around him.
Chase noticed that the Heart of Truth that Marshall touched vanished after he did so, much to his intrigue. "So they DO vanish upon touching them."
Flare and Marshall saw where Chase was looking with Marshall admitting that he didn't have much of a clue where they went either. "Yeah, we don't know why that happens either. Maybe we absorb them?" Flare thought about his Heart of Truth being inside of him, wondering how that would work for his health.
Flare was hanging out with Rocky as the latter was fixing something under his truck and the former was playing with some kind of string. Rocky suddenly cut a three second fart when lifting his leg, letting out a green cloud of moldy onions (phhhhht). Flare snickered when he heard the fart and continued playing with the string, wondering what someone like Rocky would do if he turned evil. "Rocky?" Rocky came out from under his truck and gave Flare his full attention. "If I started going evil on you guys, what would you do?"
Rocky wasn't sure if he even had the right answer for Flare, but figured he'd just say the first thing that came to his head. "I'd probably hope to God that I could go back in time and punch the face of whoever turned you evil, and then fart on them until they die from the suffocation."
Flare laughed at the idea of someone dying from being farted on, and then he started to wonder if he could still be good if he changed. He knew Rocky wasn't exactly role model material, but he still wanted to know his point of view. "People don't have to be nice to be good, right? I mean, Everest is all seductive and lusting towards Marshall, and she's not evil."
Rocky saw where Flare was coming from and felt that if his idea wasn't an option, he would probably do the noble thing. "You're cool Flare. I think it's safe to say I wouldn't abandon you." Flare was glad to hear that, hoping he would stay friends with Rocky and the others for a long time.
Rocky caught sight of Zuma walking by with his surfboard, leading to Flare taking notice to Rocky's feelings for the Chocolate Labrador showing quite clearly. Flare felt that it wouldn't hurt to help Rocky and Zuma start their relationship a little faster, elbowing Rocky gently as he gestured him to go over to Zuma. "I'll take over for your truck. Shouldn't be impossible, right?"
"Well you're right, it's not impossible. (Hands Flare the wrench) Just don't break anything, kay?" Flare nodded in response as Rocky walked over to Zuma, leaving Flare to head underneath Rocky's truck and got to work, allowing Rocky to walk up to Zuma. "Hey Zuma."
Zuma noticed that Rocky was all dirty and covered in gunk, catching onto what he was doing earlier. "Still doing some tune ups on the ol truck, eh Wocky?" Rocky nodded his head yes with a smile, noticing that Zuma was all wet and knew what he was doing earlier. "I know you're not weally into swimming, but if you like I can give you some surfing tips. I can make it to where you'll never fall off the board."
Rocky got a good look at Zuma's board, which was bright orange with a brown stripe down the middle, and the top of it had three fins on it. He felt that Zuma could also help him find a board that suited him, feeling that it'd be fun if they were doing it together. "Help me find a board that speaks to me and I'm all for it. Best to learn from an expert am I right?"
"You said it." Zuma was glad to see Rocky at least making a compromise to learning how to surf, feeling that he should also give working on cars and stuff a chance. "Maybe you can also, give me a few tips with the wench sometime?"
Rocky was glad to hear Zuma taking an interest in his work, or at least a big part of it. "Sure thing. Speaking of which, I should get back to my truck while Flare's working on it. Catch ya later." Zuma nodded and walked off with a smile, leaving Rocky to get a small nosebleed when seeing Zuma's butt. It was nice and thick for a Chocolate Labrador, and Rocky continued to admire the view as he walked off and wiped his nose. As he arrived back, Marshall lifted his leg and released a three second fart, letting out a green cloud of burger meat and leaving Rocky to smirk (pffffft). "You wanted to fart in the same way I did, right?"
Flare came out as he both confirmed, and debunked Rocky's question. "Yeah, that, and I knew it was a good chance for you and Zuma to do some romantic bonding." Rocky smiled with approval as Flare handed him his wrench back, glad to see that Flare was looking out for him. Flare could also tell that he helped Rocky and Zuma to get closer than they already were.
Flare was walking up to Richie's house as he saw his nephilim friend sitting on the roof like he usually does at night. He was hoping that Richie would have some advice on the vision he saw, calling up to him to get his attention. "Hey Richie!" Richie saw Flare and jumped down to him, sliding down the roof before jumping off the wall and heading over to him. "So I don't know if you know this, but Marshall and I recently found our Hearts of Truth. There's three believe it or not."
Richie was ecstatic to hear that, knowing that it'd help them a lot as he kneeled down to Flare. "That's awesome! (Puts his hands on Flare's shoulders) Now you should be able to control your powers a lot better than before. The regeneration you got when we first met should be constant now."
Flare was glad to see Richie looking on the bright side of the situation, hoping his question wouldn't ruin his move. "It's nice to see you looking at this the Flare way richie, but I actually have a question for you." Richie gave Flare his full attention with Flare explaining what he saw the best way he could. "When I touched my Heart of Truth, I had a vision of me choking Charm, and then I did some...not so good things." Richie saw where Flare was coming from and gave him a concerned look. "Do you think we'll be able to stop anything like that from happening."
Richie decided to give Flare the most honest answer he could, knowing it might be hard for him to hear. "Probably not Flare." Flare flinched when he heard this, starting to get worried, but allowed Richie to continue. "Of course, it's been at least four years since I found MY Heart of Truth and the vision I got still hasn't happened yet, but that doesn't mean it won't happen at all. It could take weeks, months, or years, heck, even decades to actually happen. But if your vision starts to happen then there's no saying preventing some of the stuff in it is impossible. It'll just be hard to do so."
Flare was hoping that he would be able to stop his vision from happening and started wondering what the vision Richie got from his own Heart of Truth was. "What was your vision like? You know, when you touched your own heart of truth."
Richie remembered his vision clear as day and was about to tell Flare before a card flew over to them and landed in between them. The two of them dodged it fine enough, and looked at Richie's roof to find that Trickery was up there, allowing him to jump down and face them. "It's been a while, hasn't it."
"Not long enough." Richie took his guns out with Trickery dashing up to him, only for Richie to hold a gun up to his head and hold him back. "You'd better give me one good reason not to blow your head off."
Trickery gave a devilish grin and sadistic chuckle, pointing something out to Richie that he was previously unaware of. "In case you failed to notice, we have an audience once again." Richie was confused, looking around and seeing all the guards as Flare became confused by the situation. "If you kill me, they'll assume the worst and fire at you and your friend. You will survive, but Flare might not."
Richie kicked Trickery to the side, dodging the bullet of a panicking soldier and grabbing it as Flare asked Richie what was going on. "Richie, what's going on? Is this what was in your Heart of Truth vision?"
"Well...not exactly." Richie wasn't sure how to explain to Flare now, looking to see at least twenty soldiers surrounding them. He knew he could handle them, but he didn't want to risk Flare getting hurt. Flare was getting increasingly worried for Richie, hoping that he would be able to get out of this mess Trickery put them in. Trickery on the other hand, was giving a devilish grin as he started walking right over to the leader of the soldiers and gave him quite the menacing look.
Dragon Ball Super Usubeni cover by Mark de Groot instrumental played during the credits as Flare was shown walking around the lookout as he thought about life. Flare looked up to the sky as he then thought about how he was going to help the team in the future. The music suddenly got more intense as Flare was then shown fighting off four members of the Waste's, seeming to have fun while doing it as he kicked one right in the face and made him fall back into another. The next shot showed Flare and the others witnessing Richie's in his demonic form as he looks in horror.
Richie glared at Flare, unable to contain himself as he and Flare started their battle once a male voice was heard singing. "Farewell, (Flare blocks Richie's kick, only to get sent into a tree) beautiful lover. (Flare dodges Richie's fire ball, not wanting to hurt him to an immense degree before saving him) I love you so, (Richie kicks Flare across the ground, hurting him immensely) but still I let you go. (Flare gets determined and charges at RIchie with full force) Under this pink sky is where we went our (Richie blocks Flare's kick and clenches his fist) seperate ways."
Flare regained his balance from getting send back and blocked three hell fire balls as the song continued "I want you to (Richie dashes up to Flare) know I love you, (Flare lands a punch on Richie after the latter grabs him by the neck, showing that he knews he has to figth back in order to save him) so I won't let you go. (Richie throws Flare to the side) I wish I had (Richie lands a solid flaming kick on Flare, who blocks it the best he can) said these words to you, (Flare is shown to be heavily wounded on the ground) But I have left all these words unspoken."
Flare thought about the promise he made to Rocky, refusing to let him down when he's so close now. "Like pink petals start to fall. From the blossom tree so tall. (Flare stands up and faces Richie, who shows respect in his refusal to give up) And they dance to a, bittersweet, melody." Flare and Richie went into their fighting stances as the two of them got ready to continue. An illustration of them in their stances was shown as the song ended.
