"The Varia came earlier than expected."

Tsuna blinked and blinked as his father tied up his shoe laces. Did his father just say that the Varia was already here? No. This had to be a figment of his imagination since when did his father know about them? He swirled his head to Reborn and then to Basil before looking back at his disgruntled father.

No one opened their mouths to explain anything and Tsuna felt his eyebrows twitched. Since when did his father know about the Mafia? Who told his father about it? Naruto? He shook his head. Naruto might be a lot of things but she did not make it a habit of getting involved with his family. It would be beneath her.

So who told his father about the Varia?

"How do you know about the Varia, Dad?" Tsuna asked. He tried to keep his voice calm even though there was a huge part of him that wanted to panic. But this was not the time for him to throw his arms around. The Varia were a dangerous group as Reborn kept reminding him throughout the six days that they had been training.

In this situation, he had to try and emulate Naruto. Nothing ever seems to faze her. He wanted to have the same ability because looking at the grim eyes of his father made him realize that something was not right about the whole situation. The evidence? The lack of smile on his face. The fact he knew about the Varia was a sign by itself and that made him want to throttle his father.

What hadn't his father told him? Was it just a coincidence that his father came back during the same time that the Varia attacked? Because it certainly didn't seem like it now.

I want Uzumaki here and ask her about what is going on. He took a deep breath and focused his eyes on his father. Brown eyes looked at him with resignation before flickering to Reborn and Basil. Tsuna blinked when he saw Basil looking at his father with a frown on his lips. Why was Basil upset? And why was Reborn looking at his father like he was disappointed in him?

"I can't explain it to you right now Tsuna," his father answered. Iemitsu tied up the final shoe lace and pushed himself up from the ground. Tsuna grinded his teeth together and took several deep breaths. This was not the time for him to be furious. This was not the time for him to yell at his father to start explaining. "I need to check up on all of the Guardian's safety and inform them of the situation."

Why does he need to check up on them personally? And what is the situation? Those questions were on the tip of his tongue ready to be spilled but all Tsuna could feel was his throat blocking up with fear. He wasn't smart like Gokudera or Naruto but he knew what safety meant. It meant that his friends were not at all safe.

"Are you also checking up on the Lightning Guardian?" Reborn asked quietly. "You made her in charge of him and she won't be happy if she thinks that you don't trust her capabilities."

Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Tsuna curled his lips into a frown and locked eyes with his father. Why would his father have someone else protect his mysterious Guardian? He knitted his eyebrows together. I meant that all those times that you waste daydreaming in class, should have been used for you to improve your observational skill. His frown deepened and he locked eyes with Reborn.

They wouldn't have put someone weak or very inexperience as his guardian, would they?

"Naruto was very smart and decided to take the ring before putting her strongest subordinate with him," Iemitsu answered. Brown eyes widened and Tsuna jerked his head at his father. The man did not look him in the eyes and instead focused on Reborn. "So I'm certain that he will be safe but we can't be certain about Naruto."

What did he do! His brown eyes widened and the urge to smack his father was great but Tsuna held it in. Naruto was strong. She was the strongest person that he knew as well as the most craftiest person that he knew. She would be capable of facing the Varia but the Varia was no joke. They were fully trained assassins and from what he understood from Jiraiya then his friend failed once.

But if he told Naruto about his concerns then she would be furious with him. Why wouldn't she tell me? He knitted his eyebrows and took a deep breath. There had to be a good reason for her not to tell him that she knew about the whole situation. Was it because she didn't trust him? That would be reasonable.

Still he thought their relationship had been improving in the last few months.

"Why is Naruto protecting the Lightning Guardian?" Tsuna asked quietly. He pushed down the rage into a box and locked eyes with his father. But he did allow the desperation to leak through his tone and fixated his eyes on his father. "Can you tell me that much? Why didn't anyone make her the Lightning Guardian?"

Because what is the point of having a Guardian who can't protect himself? His heart thundered against his chest and he locked eyes with his father and Reborn. It was bad enough his friends were involved but to have an innocent person involved…made his stomach turned. The mafia is a cruel place. Naruto's words echoed in his ears and he grinded his teeth together.

He could protest now but his friends had been attacked.

The underground world is a doggy dog world and if you are weak…they will kill you.

If anyone understood how the Varia might work then it would be Naruto. She would tell me if it is a good idea to quit now or not…she knows how they work. Tsuna took in several deep breaths and looked down at his trembling arms. The brown-haired teen exhaled as his father and Reborn continued to stare at him.

"Out of everyone from your acquittances who knows about the Mafia, Naruto is the strongest one out there," his father explained. Tsuna thinned his lips while Reborn nodded. He could not deny the fact that his classmate was insanely strong but Mukuro defeated her. "But I don't know if she is going to be strong against Levi-A-Than Lightning Strike Squad. That is why I will need you to help her."

Help Naruto? Tsuna locked eyes on his father and then looked to Reborn before landing his eyes on Basil. It would be better for him to fight alongside her but he knew his classmate. Naruto doesn't make plans that would get her killed. He took a deep breath and looked down at the ring chain around his neck before looking back at his father.

"If it is someone that can make illusions then Naruto is in real deep trouble."

Illusions were the only weakness that Naruto had.

"Does the Levi-A-Than Lightning Strike Squad have someone that can make illusions?"

His father frowned. "They aren't under Viper so I highly doubt they have anyone who can use illusions."

Then the Levi-A-Than Lightning Strike Squad is the one in trouble, not Uzumaki. Tsuna relaxed his shoulders and exhaled. He knew from Haku's observations that Naruto had been the one to kill that red-haired girl in Kokuyo Land. If the squad got to Naruto then he had no doubt she was going to kill them without a second thought.

The bile rose up to his throat and Tsuna swallowed it down. He should try and stop her but it was to be killed or to kill someone right now. I might not have the heart yet but Naruto does. A shaky breath escaped from his lips as his father and Basil looked at him with concern. If it meant protecting his friends then he won't stop her.

But he had a whole different reason to go to Naruto.

"I'm going to go but it isn't because you ordered me," he declared. The brown-haired boy straightened his shoulders and locked eyes with his father, Reborn and Basil. Don't stutter. He chanted the words like a mantra and exhaled. "I'm also not going because I lack faith in Naruto. Naruto can handle them. I'm going because Naruto will probably answer everything without lying to me."

His father stared at him, opening his mouth to say something and Tsuna dashed out of the door.

I don't want to hear whatever ridiculous lies he has for me.

He just hoped he had enough money to get the answers that he wanted from Naruto.

"01 has approached the target and I don't see anything weird about the girl."

They are too loud for a bunch of assassins from a group that is supposed to be like the ANBU. Naruto kept her expression completely blank as her eyes fixated on the road before her. If she had to guess from the position of the man's voice, she had to guess that he was to her left and slightly ahead of her. She sighed and looked up at the owl flying above her.

With the knowledge that the Varia was in town, she had to think of a creative way to track them. I'm starting to think that the Varia doesn't really need this much effort if they have someone this loud. Naruto shook her head as the owl changed direction. If her clone changed direction then it must mean that she saw something interesting.

Naruto sighed and knelt down to the floor. Blue eyes darted to the side as her hand slipped right into her sock, pulling out a single kunai. The whiskered girl took a deep breath. Seaweed scent tickled her nostrils and the blonde clicked her heels together. She swirled her body around and flung it straight at him. His eyes widened and the blonde quickly weaved through several hand seals.

Snake. Ram. Boar. Horse. Bird. She clapped her hands together. Wind surged from her hand, pushing the kunai to even greater speed. Black eyes widened even more as the throwing knife pierced right to his chest. Blue eyes turned icy cold as the man crashed right down to the ground. His scream echoed throughout the road and the whiskered teen strolled right into him.

"You know as an assassin, you should be silent," Naruto declared. The man shivered and winced as he tried to move away from her. The whiskered girl rolled her eyes and dashed straight at him. Her hands slipped into her pocket as she jumped right onto him. His scream pierced throughout the night. "Did I hurt you? I'm so sorry for hurting you…let me make it easier for you!"

The smile playing on her lips widened and the blonde jumped off of him. She flipped him around, pulled the kunai out before stabbing him right in the heart. From what Iemitsu sent me, Levi-A-Than and his team are looking for Lambo's ring. Her lips curled into a wider smile and the blonde pulled the kunai out of his chest.

Blood spluttered and splashed on her face. This is not enough to send a message. Naruto sighed and touched her bloodied face before looking down at the dead body right in front of her. She exhaled and looked at the owl. The owl turned to the east and Naruto knew the message that her henged clone was trying to give her.

Another one.

"This is 02!" The second member said. Distress leaked through his tone and the blonde swirled her head. She smiled widely as the foreign assassin stared at the dead corpse on the ground. "01 has been murdered! I repeat the target murdered 01! I'm going to attack the target and take the ring from her!"

Not gonna happen in my watch. Naruto swirled the chakra around her hand as she flew straight at the man. Left and right until the Rasengan formed on the palm of her hand. The man pulled out a weapon while she smashed the Rasengan right into his stomach. Music to my ears. Blood soaked her arm as brown eyes faded into oblivion.

The blonde tugged her hand out of his stomach as the weapon in his hand crashed right into the ground. I thought for them to be in the Varia then they have to be amazing strong. She shook her head and looked at her bloodied arm before looking up at the twinkling night stars. Maybe it had been a terrible idea for her to hope that they would give her a challenge.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I kind of miss fighting Mukuro…at least he made things interesting. She sighed and wiped the blood against her black shirt and darted her eyes to the owl. It turned to the other side and the blonde exhaled. Since the last two had been easy for her to kill, it was easy for her to presume that the third one was just as easy.

"This is 03!" The third assassin muttered as Naruto swirled her body around. Those eyes flashed with fear as it locked onto the two bloodied corpses on the street. Blood clung to the air, tickling her nostrils and the blonde exhaled. The sweet scent of blood would give a clear message to them. "Levi, I think it is better that you—"

I'm so bored. Naruto rolled her eyes and jumped straight at the third assassin. She smashed her fist against his stomach, penetrating right through his stomach. Blood poured down to the ground and the blonde pulled her arm back like a slingshot. I'm going to need a new shirt after this. She exhaled and pulled out another kunai. She twirled it around before slashing the man's throat.

Was it wrong for her to chop off a dead man's head? Most likely. Did she care? Not really. Naruto knew if she wanted to send a message to these people then three dead bodies and a head might do the trick. I'm going to need the Disciplinary Committee help when it comes to cleaning up the blood. The whiskered girl sighed and pulled the ear headphone piece from the head.

Naruto placed it against her ear, not even blinking as the blood slipped right into her ear. If she wanted to have some fun then it would probably be a good idea to antagonize them. But if Levi-A-Than is just as weak as these guys then I better talk to them. She rubbed the back of her neck and exhaled.

Besides if she got rid of Levi-A-Than then Lambo was going to rest easy for the next couple of years.

"Your target wants to tell you that if you are going to send assassins to kill her then bring someone with talent," Naruto said through the intercom. She kicked the head around and looked up at the twinkling stars looming over her. A growl echoed through the intercom and the whiskered teen looked down at her blood-stained hands. "I thought you would give me something fun but the Varia seems like shit."

She pulled the intercom from her ear, dropped it down on the ground and crushed it with her feet. I imagine that he is going to be so pissed off for me insulting him. That suited her. A furious assassin was an easy assassin to kill. Besides it was his fault. Honestly, if she was going to send someone to kill an enemy then she would do some research on them.

Loud footsteps boomed through the air and the blonde groaned. There was only one person she knew with that kind of footsteps was the loudest person in the whole town. Why the hell is he even here? She shook her head and tore off the sleeve of the corpse. Wiping the blood off of her kunai, the whiskered girl twisted her whole body around to face the direction of those loud footsteps.

"Uzumaki! Master PaoPao told me that you might be in extreme trouble!" Ryohei roared. The excitement in his voice faded and his eyes widened at the sight of the corpses surrounding her. His eyes flickered to the three corpses before landing on her bloodstain arms alongside the blood that must still be decorating her face.

The excited smile on his lips faded and a greenish tone colored his expression as his eyes fixated on the lone head separated from the body. Naruto thinned her lips and walked to the other bodies. While Kyoko's brother processed the corpses, she was going to tear off some of the sleeves and clean herself up from the blood.

It was the least that she could do for him.

"You did all of this, Uzumaki?" Ryohei asked. His voice turned deathly quiet and his eyes looked at the three bodies with a mournfulness that made her roll her eyes. Who else would kill them? My non-existent grandmother? God, she hated silly questions. The whiskered girl kicked the bodies away and wiped the blood off from her hands. "Uzumaki! Tell me did you murder all of these men!"

She ignored his question and pulled out the ring from her pocket as gray eyes flashed with anger. If you bring someone into the Mafia then make sure that they aren't so innocent. Naruto threw the ring to Ryohei and the boy caught the ring. He darted his eyes from the ring to her before looking back down at the bodies surrounding them.

"If I didn't murder them then they would try to kill me," Naruto answered. She hummed and inspected the corpses carefully. Maybe if she was lucky then there might be some money that she could put into her bank account. It was compensation if you asked her for not making things interesting for her. "Now if I let them live, no guarantee that they won't try and kill me because of that ring in your hand. There is no such thing as morals."

"But they were people," Ryohei said quietly. She sighed and rolled her eyes at his comment. Did he think she did not know that? They had two arms and two legs which obviously made them human. But of course that was not his point. You shouldn't kill them was his point but that was a naïve way of thinking. Naivety had no place now.

His naivety is going to get him killed. She thinned her lips and looked up at the night sky. There was a point of letting people live and that was when she knew they weren't going to try and kill her, her allies or her subordinates. If they attempted to kill her then it was fair for them to be murdered like this. It taught them a lesson that she was not someone to underestimate.

"These people won't hesitate to murder you or your family," Naruto reminded him. She kicked the head to him and allowed the coldness to seep right back into her eyes. It was time for her to knock some sense into him. It was time that she made it clear to Ryohei of what he signed up for. His own sister understood better than him. "The real owner of that ring is a 5-year-old. Do you understand now?"

The boy knitted his eyebrows and closed his eyes as if he was trying to imagine the scenario. It is a very simple scenario that ends with the murder of a little boy who hasn't seen the light of day. She clicked her teeth together. Why should she bother to follow laws and morals when the enemies wouldn't do the same? That was something Tsuna could do.

She was not Tsuna and she had no plans to be.

I don't pretend to be good and I'm not going to pretend that I regret this. She slid her hands into her pockets and stared at the corpses for a good couple of seconds before looking back at the quiet Sun Guardian. Who was coming? The footsteps sounded familiar. One footstep was quick and quiet while the other footsteps was squeaky and just a little bit slower.

"Naruto, did you kill all of these men?"

The blonde sighed and twisted her whole body around to look at Yamamoto. Brown eyes widened and kept flickering at the three bodies surrounding her and Ryohei before fixating on her. Those eyes narrowed and inspected the blood that clung onto her arms. No judgment shone through his eyes, only curiosity and weariness shone through his eyes.

Gravel crunched behind her and Naruto twisted her head. Green eyes met her own eyes and the blonde did not miss the way Gokudera relaxed his shoulders. I'm surprised that he cares with how he calls me Greedy Woman. She sighed as the male rushed to her side. His breath became rapid as his eyes fixated on the dead bodies surrounding them before looking at her.

"Before any of you give me any bullshit about morals, let me remind you that this is your reality right now," Naruto said. She walked over to the head that laid right near Ryohei, picked it up and tossed straight to Yamamoto. The black-haired teen turned green as he caught the head of the assassin that tried to kill her.

Despite the fact that Yamamoto and Gokudera looked as green as grass, neither of them rushed to the corner to vomit at her actions. Naruto had to give them props for it. Most people would have vomited after seeing what she had done. Touching a dismembered body? Now that was something not many people could handle, much less kids. Then again Gokudera had been in the job for quite some time while Yamamoto knew how to control himself.

"Greedy woman, who have you been protecting?" Gokudera asked. His green eyes fixated on her, demanding for answers and the blonde hummed. It would do her some good to inform them. They deserved the right to know but it would be too easy for her to give them the answer. But asking for money at this moment was ridiculous even for her. She sighed. "Juudaime will want to know, Greedy Woman."

She rubbed the back of her neck and held her hand out to Ryohei. Her senior frowned and she gestured to the ring in his open palm. Grey eyes narrowed and the boy slapped the ring back into her hand. His eyes leaked with anger and sadness, earning a shrug from the girl. Did he think she would take back her words if he glared at her? She shook her head.

"Lambo," Naruto answered. Green eyes widened and flashed with irritation while Yamamoto frowned at her. His brown eyes inspected her like he was trying to figure out the reason for the toddler being chosen. Iemitsu claims it is his future potential that makes him the best chosen candidate. The man was insane if you asked her but she saw his point. "I have Haku watching over him, Fuuta and I-pin."

If they thought she was being cruel then they had never seen Haku when he allowed his sadism to come out. I think he told me that he did pick up his teacher's tics. She shook her head and exhaled. When were those Varia bastards coming? She needed to take a shower before she went back home. Jiraiya would ask too many questions.

She darted her eyes to her disguised clone and grimaced when the clone flew the characters for the word no. I will wait for another twenty minutes and if those bastards don't come then I'm heading to Hibari's house to take a shower. He might get pissed with her for using his house as a temporary hideout but she was definitely not going back home with the scent of blood.

"Uzumaki!"

Naruto blinked and turned her body around, blue eyes becoming blank at the sight of Tsuna and Reborn standing before her. Reborn eyed her bloodied arms before flickering his eyes at the corpses around her. He nodded and snorted before giving her a look that told her about how unimpressed he was with her method. Well she was not trying to make it clean.

Burning them would have been easy but it did not send the right message to them.

"Did you cut a person's head off?" Tsuna asked. His tone leaked with fear but he did not stutter or flinch at the sight. He is improving. She curled her lips into a smile and bobbed her head. The brown-haired boy exhaled and inhaled like he was trying to stop himself from having a panic attack. Knowing Tsuna, it was probably the case.

She was covered with blood and there were three dead bodies around them.

"It had to be done," Naruto answered when the boy arched his eyebrows at her. She knew the questions burning through his eyes and the blonde shook her head at him. "You know I don't appreciate the fact that you guys came chasing after me. As you can see, I had everything under control and did not need any help at all…unless you want to send this to the Varia as a warning."

Tsuna hung his head at her words and eyed the bodies before looking back at her. The way he tilted his head and the way his eyes flashed with contemplation told her that he was actually considering the offer. He probably realized the gravity of this situation because Sawada isn't the type to consider my words. She shrugged her shoulders.

Swoosh.

Her lips twitched into a smile.

"You! You murdered my best subordinates!" A man roared. Naruto looked away from Tsuna and fixated her eyes on the furious man standing on the huge wall looming over them. He gives me those creepy pervert vibes. Even though the man was tall, his eyes were slanted and the piercings on his mouth, ears and forehead was anything but attractive. She narrowed her eyes when the male fixated on her chest before moving to the bodies around her.

She snorted.

"Those were your best? These weaklings?" His black beady eyes flared with rage and Naruto cracked her shoulders. She slipped the ring back into her pocket as those black eyes looked at her with pure rage. If those three had been under my charge, I wouldn't even let them onto the field. Those fools had been too loud for her taste and too cocky for her taste.

Honestly I should have went with Lambo and Haku deals with them. She pinched her nose as Tsuna looked at her like she was insane for insulting the man before them. The other three males stiffened, their eyes eager for a fight, and Naruto glared at them. For now, this man was her opponent. He had been after Lambo and that made him her opponent.

"You are my opponent, aren't you?" He snarled. Black eyes locked onto the head of his subordinate and a smirk played on his lips. Either he is excited at the idea of fighting me and getting revenge or he thinks he is stronger than me. Either way it proved to her that she was dealing with an idiot. Three dead bodies without a single scratch on her should tell him that she was not his usual opponent. "You are the wielder of the Lightning ring, aren't you? I'm going to kill you for what you did."

His hands reached out behind his back and Naruto channeled the chakra right to her hands.

I will burn him alive.

"Hold it Levi!"

Just like that, the other members of the Varia appeared.

A/N: So the Varia has appeared and Levi wants to kill Naruto. Here are the next couple of questions:

Question 1: How do you think Levi will feel when he realize that Naruto isn't his opponent?

Question 2: How do you think Xanxus will react when he learns that Naruto has been the one to kill Levi's subordinates?

Please tell me of your thoughts about this chapter and how do you feel of the story in general.
