Chapter 34:

Edward was pinned to the basement floor as Jared's thunderous thoughts bombarded his mind.

She was aroused by you! By you! You sick bastard! My imprint was-

Jared Stepped away from Edward and phased back. His eyes were wide as the realization hit him like a truck and while Jared was having an ephinany so was Edward.

Jared had been torn ever since they found out about Kim being turned. She had been his imprint. The one the spirits had deemed worthy for him. But she had broken that bond and rejected him, then he found Bella. His chabelita. And while it still hurt that Kim was a cold one, she was literally dead to him and she couldn't even remember his name. So why was he so Angry?

His wolf growled within him. Snapping and snarling.

Our mate has been holding back! His wolf shouted.

I know that! we both know that! she has too much going on…and Kim…Kim was ours..

"but Kim's not yours any more….and Bella's…not mine…" Edward spoke softly.

Jared jumped almost forgetting the leech was still there.

"Do you love her? Bella I mean?" Edward asked

"with everything I have leech."

Edward nodded as he read the wolf's thoughts about his former lover. His Bella, at least she used to be his…but now she wasn't and from the wolf's memories, …she was happy and confident…and loved.

"Do you want children?"

The question caught Jared off guard.

"why?"

"because you have everything, I have always wanted to give Bella. A family…. the ability to give life. I want her happy. My reasons for trying to win her back were selfish and I have hurt her but…if you can give her what I cant…"

"look leech. I love Bella with everything I have…my heart is joined with hers…she's no longer yours…and she was never meant to be…so this is the end. "Jared said as he stood up.

Edward stood and went to speak but stopped. It looked as if he was listening for something. His eyes went huge as he spoke.

"somethings wrong. We have to go!"

Bella closed her eyes as she felt the atmosphere shift.

"somethings wrong…. the red eyes…they are coming…and sooner than expected."

"very good Isabella. knowing the flow of the atmosphere." Ephraim said pleased

Raven let out a whimper of fear. This would be her first time fighting and meeting…true vampires.

Bella reached over to calm her imprint.

"Be strong young one. You were born for this." Taka aki encouraged.

Raven turned to the ancient wolf and growled.

"BORN FOR THIS? BORN FOR THIS! I NEVER WANTED THIS!" she shouted

"None us of wanted this child. None of us. We didn't choose this life…or this existence. But here we are, and we must deal with the ramifications. You are a Wolf. A female wolf to be exact. Chosen by the spirits to be the successor of Leah Clearwater. You must step up!" Levi Uley chastised.

Raven opened her mouth to speak but Bella silenced her with a look.

"We need to go. Now and raven …you can do this."

With that said, Raven phased and nudged Bella onto her back and with Taka aki leading them…they ran to the fight.

Sam gave a nod to Jared as he and Edward appeared on the mountain. Just a few miles from them was some kind of makeshift camp. It was directly on the rocky mountain so no one would be able to spot it. However, if you looked with a supernatural eye you could what looked over a hundred vampires gathering.

"What happened?"

"Emmet and jasper were able to get ahold of Kim but not before they were attacked. All three of them are fine now but the scent was left here."

Jared looked around as the pack and the Cullen's stood together again as one. He glanced around until his eyes met Kim's. Her eyes were black as night indicating thirst and she was being restrained by the blonde female known as Rosalie. At this moment, Jared felt nothing for Kim anymore. There wasn't anger or sadness, his heart no longer yearned for her, but it did yearn for Bella. His chabelita.

"where's Bella?" he questioned

"we don't know but Raven is with her. now focus." Same ordered.

Jared let out a low growl.

"you know when it pertains to Bella, your orders have no weight."

"Jared! Now is not the time! Bella will be fine! Now just-"

"They are coming!" Alice shouted.

Supernatural creatures once known as enemy's banned together again to protect what they cherished most.

"There has to be hundreds of them!" Esme whispered in terror as the black specs got closer.

"oh no! Carlisle, we can't hold unto Kim and fight! We need to do something." Emmet hissed

"were outnumbered! "Alice whispered as her visions began to fade in and out. She couldn't handle it with the mutts around.

"tsk. Tsk. Tsk. whatever will you all do?" a voice asked from the trees.

All eyes looked up to see Maria, with ruby red eyes watching them and to everyone's horror, sitting in the trees reaching all the way to the top were more vampires.

"I don't think they know maria. I think there too dumbfounded by our power." Vladimir sneered.

"Vladimir, maria. What is it you want?" Carlisle asked. On the outside, he looked relatively calm but on the inside he was scared to death.

"hmmm Vlad what is it we could possibly want?" maria asked innocently.

"oh, dear maria. I don't know maybe …world domination? Or even better i- "

"They want to destroy us to get to the Volturi!" Edward hissed. " our coven is the largest, second to the Volturi and they want to wipe us out before they overthrow them!"

Edward froze for a minute as he continued to read the minds of those around him.

"No!... They...They ...They destroyed the Denali coven!"

The Cullen let out a unified gasp as Edward delivered the shocking news.

"Ohh yes. Edward Cullen, the mind reader. How could I forget about you? and yes we did rip those poor succubi and their pathetic coven apart. couldn't have any distractions now could we." Maria hissed as she crawled down the base of the tree.

"Such a sad sight. Such wasted potential." She continued. "I can free you. don't you know that? just like I freed…. jasper."

Instantly as maria said his name so seductively, jasper got into a crouch, as well as Alice.

"oh, now now jasper. Don't be a party pooper. I might let you back into my bed again if you're a good boy." Maria taunted.

"There stalling for something! Where's Stephan!?" Edward hissed as he caught on to a few of the vampire's stray thoughts.

However, as soon as Edward revealed their scheme all chaos broke out. Maria and her group jumped from the trees and on to the back as many wolves as they could find while from the sides, Stephan appeared as if from thin air and ambushed the front lines.

Maria's army was everywhere, attacking from all sides and just as Emmet predicted, they couldn't fight and keep kim contained.

It was impossible.

They needed some crazy miracle.

Taka aki I don't know if you can hear me but we need your help. were outnumbered and we can't do it alone.

Jared's silent prayer was answered when he heard a strong and majestic howl.

Maybe they would make it after all.
