Jane and Maura!! Love and Happiness!! The Life We Have Chosen:

Chapter 27

The ringing of Jane's cellphone woke both of them up out of a deep sleep. "Rizzoli" text me the address I will be there in 30 minutes, tell them not to touch anything and to secure the scene, thank you" and she disconnected the call. Maura was off call today, she had meetings with the Governor. She quickly kissed Maura, got out of bed and headed into the ensuite to take a quick shower, once done she came out to find Maura had laid out her suit, dressing, putting her kilt belt on, and get her gun and badge out of the safe. As she descended the stairs, Maura greeted her with a travel mug of coffee, and a passionate kiss. Maura hated not going to a crime scene with Jane, she was upset with herself for having to be in meetings today. After seeing Jane out the door, locking and alarming the alarm, she headed back upstairs, it was only 5:30 am, she would do her yoga, get the older kids off to school, Ava Grace and Susie was staying with Constance and Arthur, so they could continue to sleep. She went through her morning routine, prepared breakfast for Sofia, Frost, Connie, her parents and herself, after eating the kitchen was cleaned, and the older kids along with Maura headed out the door. After dropping off Sofia, Frost and Connie at the Jr High School, she headed to the Governor's office for a day full of meetings. This was part of her job that she really didn't like, meetings about budgets, staffing of medical examiners all over the state, staffing in her our morgue, and various other issues. Maura loved being in her lab, office, and morgue, but this was also part of her job. Entering the Governor's office, she was greeted the Governor, his staff members, and a few other higher ups. They entered the conference room, took their's seat, and was waiting for the meeting to begin. Jane sent a text letting her wife know that she was still at the crime scene, it was an awful crime scene, and that her team would be out in the field day. I love you, beautiful!! Miss you.. Good luck with your meetings. . J. Maura was in the middle of replying when they were ask to turn off their cellphones. She hated not being able to have contact with Jane, her parents or the office.

As Jane and her team was canvassing the crime scene, and the surrounding areas, they were having a little luck with a few leads, and suspects. Deciding to head back to the station, so her and her team to regroup, spread out the evidence that had been collected, check in with the morgue, and run background checks on a few names that had got. Walking into the BRIC, Jane asked Nina if she could please run the list of suspects, and let her know if she got any hits. Nina took the list, entering all the names and started running them. Asking Jane if she could talked to her for a few minutes, Jane nodded. "Jane, I wanted Maura and you to know this first. Frankie and I are going to be getting back together, he is really trying to do better, he has stopped drinking, going to AA, and to be honest with you, he seems happier being back on the streets. Please don't think badly of me, Jane, it has been a hard decision to make." "Nina, I am happy that you are giving him another chance, he is really a good man. I don't understand what happened to him over the years, we were close at one time, but i felt like when Maura and I returned, especially me, he changed and things changed. You know that I have protected him and tried over the years. I never took his job, I was asked by Governor, Mayor, Chief of Police, Cavanaugh and the higher ups at BPD to return. So No I am not upset with you, take care of him. Maura and myself are always here." Nina smiled at Jane and pulled her into a hug, thanking her for their support and understanding. Jane nodded and exited the BRIC. No one knew that a few months before when Nina, her mother Katherine and the kids left for a month, that it was Jane and Maura, who had flown them on the Isles jet to one of the Isles estates in the Bahamas, so that Nina could regroup and spend time with the kids. Frankie had went into a 60 days addiction rehabilitation for alcohol, grambling, and sex, Nina had borrowed the money from Jane, but Maura had answered the phone instead, and Frankie's treatment programs were paid for by the Isles Foundation anonymously. It was never mentioned by any of them and it was an unspoken thanks to Maura and Jane.

Maura's day of meetings ended around 1 PM, so she headed to the station. With all of the policies covered in the meetings, everyone had decided not to take a lunch break, so each could get back to their offices. Maura made a quick stop to pick up lunch for Jane and herself, she knew her wife probably hadn't stop long enough to eat. Entering the bullpen she could see her wife going through a pile of files, and she could tell that Jane was getting aggravated and frustrated. Approaching her wife's desk, she put her hand on Jane's shoulder, Jane, sweetheart, it is time to take a break. Have you eaten since you left this morning? Jane shake her head no. Maura pulled her up and dragged her down to her office in the morgue. Once in her office, Maura pushed Jane down on the sofa, she unpacks their lunch, the cheeseburger with fries and a bottle of water in front of Jane, she then sits down next to her pointing at Jane's food, she says eat. Jane is about to say something but the look that Maura gives her, she chooses to eat. After eating, they cuddle on the sofa until the buzzing of Jane's phone interrupts. Maur, baby I am needed upstairs, thanks for lunch and the cuddle, I love you, baby and gives her a peck on the lips, Jane is out the door.

Maura has been busy reviewing autopsy reports, working on the policy changes, had a short staff meeting and addressed the policy and staffing changes that will be taking place over the next few weeks. Looking at the time she noticed it was almost 5 PM, she needed to pick up Sofia, Frost and Connie from their ballet, and sport practices at 5:15. She decided to quickly check on the lab results and two other reports that Jane was waiting on, then she logged out and shut off her computer, locking her filing cabinets, and desk she exited her office and locked it. She made her way to the elevators, she received a text from Jane informing her that Jane's team, and SWAT was on their way to check out a lead about the hideout of a possible suspect. She would text her when she was done. Another text came through with Baby, I love you!! You are my everything!! J. Maura teared up, and reply Jane Rizzoli-Isles, you always say the sweetest thing. You are my world, and the kids, please be safe!! I love you, sweetheart! I will be waiting for you. M. Calling her parents on the way to pick up Sofia, Frost, and Connie, she ask Constance to go ahead and order pizza for the children, and order Chinese for the adults. Hanging up she pulled the SUV into the pick up line for the kids, she watched as their children walked out they were a combination of both Jane and herself, she smiled. Jane and her had built a life that she only used to dream about. They had a strong solid wonderful marriage with a very active daily sex life, their children were happy and healthy, their careers were successful and a beautiful home. Driving home the kids told her about their day at school, ballet and sports. Arriving home she was met by Ava Grace and Susie, making her way into the foyer, then to the kitchen she was greeted by Constance and Arthur, who was having tea. The older kids went to do their homework, and clean up for supper, it was a strict routine that they followed. Constance asked about her day, and when was Jane arriving home? Maura told her parents that Jane was out on case and would be home later. Asking her mother how long before the food would arrive, Constance said about 30 minutes she had just called before they got home. Both of the younger children were playing in the living room. She sat in the kitchen drinking a cup of tea, visiting with her parents.

As they were eating supper, Maura had the strangest feeling come over her, as she was sipping her wine, a clash came from the living room. Looking around everyone was still seated at the table chatting and eating. Getting up Constance and Maura made their way to the living room and on the floor was a broken picture frame with a picture of Jane and Maura from their first wedding, Jane was carrying her down the steps of the building they had gotten married in, it was her of her favorite pictures from that day, beside the one of them reciting their vow, Constance had hired a photographer that day. Each of the pictures that were taken that day was priceless and unqine. Hurrying to clean up the broken glass, and making sure the picture was damaged. The ringing of the doorbell, made her stop what she was doing, making her way to the front door, she was met by her parents and children. As she opened the door, her eyes fell on Korsak, who was covered in a reddish brown stain. Maura, we were ambushed, she is alive. She is on her way to Mass General, she ask that I come tell you personally and escort you and the family to the hospital. She took a bullet in the shoulder and leg, she has lost a lot of blood. We need to go Now. The ride to the hospital was silent and fast, she rode with Korsak who used lights and sirens, her parents with the kids followed in the SUV. Arriving at the hospital, they were quickly ushered to a private waiting room, the press was everywhere. As Maura was pacing she looked up to see Doctors approaching her. Smoothing the front of her dress, trying to calm herself. She heard someone say Rizzoli-Isles, she said that is me, I am her wife. How is my wife, Jane? When can i see her? Can someone answer a question?
