Chapter 29

"I can't believe you went for that shade of red" Blaze grins as she glances over towards the drapes whilst laying next to Axel. The morning sunlight narrowly peeking through the gap between them.

"I must have been thinking of you" he smiles at her.

"You know red is my favourite colour but for drapes?...I'm not so sure" she tries to contain herself but they end up bursting out with laughter together.

"Well maybe you can help me redecorate this place."

"I still can't believe it's the first time I've been to your new house, it's so different to the apartment but at least it's close to your dojo" she replies.

"Do like it?" Axel quizzes her with concern.

She smiles "I love it! I mean don't get me wrong the penthouse was great but it was such a man cave and was a bit flash…. But at least it was clean" she awkwardly smiles. "But this place, outside the city I think it's more you".

"It's cos I grew up in a place like this. And now it's your home too". He reaches for the spare key on the bedside table then passes it to her. She takes it and observes the key whilst curiously rotating it.

"It's so strange. I feel like I've been here before" her gaze turns to meet his. "I dreamt I was once here with you. Wait what day of the week is it today?"

"It's Sunday." He replies slightly confused at why she is asking this. Blaze quickly sits up feeling astonished thinking to herself.

"So that means chill day, no work and I can finally show you around the house and the new dojo across the street. You were in so much of a rush last night to make it up here to the bedroom that's all you've seen so far". She grins as she sees a trail of clothes on the floor extending as far as the hallway and stairs outside of the room.

"Oh my God!" She replies overwhelmed.

"What is it?" he is even more puzzled now.

"This is the part where you take me to the dojo and then…"

He raises his eyebrows at her with uncertainty, only Blaze knows what happened in her dream.

"Never mind!" she smiles "just dejavu!"

"Truth is the dojo got trashed before I left and needs renovating badly. But I figured once it gets fixed we could start over again. My fight club and your dance studio all under one roof".

"Sounds like a plan" she smiles then she reaches forward to kiss him.

#Phone Rings#

Now Blaze knows she is really not dreaming right now.

"Adam" Axel answers "…..Okay, I'll ask her" he says with a serious tone before hanging up.

"What's wrong?" Blaze asks feeling concerned.

He gives her a warm smile "feel like going to a barbeque at Adam's? It's Sasha's birthday"

She lets out a huge sigh of relief. It felt so good in that moment not to have a phone call of panic, urgency and a fight to finish. "Sure" Blaze responds as her face lights up with excitement.

The rest of the day is sweet and joyful when the team gather together as one big family. A new beginning is on the horizon for them and finally the happily ever after they deserve. Zan is content because he knows he has a peaceful future ahead of him with no more hiding in the shadows on the run. And whilst Max looks to the future to rebuild his business with plans to travel around the globe, he is content with giving up his dedication of being a pro wrestler to pursue other things he has always wanted to do in life, things that Eliza would have wanted for him to experience.

"Time to open your presents!" Keri says to Sasha as she excitedly organises them one by one.

"Thanks Uncle Sammy!" She smiles whilst unwrapping a new bag for when she starts school next semester. Sammy gives Keri a cheeky smile knowing that he really wanted to introduce his niece to some video games but Keri insisted on the school bag instead.

"And because I've missed my baby girl so much, your last present is this!" Adam places a very large box down on the ground in front of her. "Be careful as you open it, you have to take good care of it ok?" Before he can finish his sentence, the wrapping paper in off and she rips open the box to find a large case containing a guitar.

"What do you say?" Keri asks her as the room becomes silent in awe when she takes a moment to absorb the surprise gift.

"Thank you daddy! This is the best present ever!" her face lights up the room with the biggest smile as she jumps into his arms.

The group spend the rest of the evening celebrating, never feeling as happy and relaxed as this before. The weight of the world is finally off of their shoulders and Wood Oak's problems are not theirs anymore.

"Looks like things turned out alright for you then bro" Adam hands over to Axel a bottle of beer whilst he opens his own bottle of soda .

"I never thought I'd see the day" he laughs "only a couple of years ago you were so sure you would never settle for one girl and now someone who was once your lieutenant has practically moved in and taken over your life. Next thing you know it will be your wedding day".

"Yeah, she's pretty amazing" he responds without any thought whilst he and Blaze smile at each other from across the room.

"I'm happy for you two, take care of each other". The pair salute their drinks together and enjoy the rest of the party.

"I told you, we need to lay low until I get the funds and a new team on board to rebuild our empire" Electra struts into one of Dr Dahm's other labs that he had built in Lima.

"I need to show you something, follow me". She walks with him down a narrow corridor leading to a staircase underground.

"Please tell me you have given up on bombs and Rakushin? We really can't afford another war right now".

"With you as acting leader of the syndicate there are three things I need to give you. First open this folder please". Dr Dahm hands her a brown folder containing the contacts, account numbers and locations of every syndicate thug left alive. She takes a seat then carefully reads through it.

"Hmmm that's interesting" she replies surprised as she sees one of the more familiar names on the list.

"What is it?"

"Let's just say one person on this list is very close to home" she grins. "What else have you got for me Dr?"

He places his lab gloves on then holds up the last thing he stole which was the test tube full of blood that he took in desperation when they escaped from Blaze and Shiva.

"What am I supposed to do with this?" Electra replies unamused.

"It's a sample of Axel Stone's blood that we took when we hooked him up to the equipment".

"And?"

He replies with more enthusiasm "with this sample, we can analyse it, replicate his chi and even design a robot or clone if we want to. We can create something spectacular with his power all from one drop of blood. With your authorisation of course".

She glares at him with a cool demeanour. "I gotta admit that's quite impressive! I'll leave this matter up to you but whatever monster you create from this, make sure he's destructive. I don't want any trail of evidence whatsoever leading back to us".

"Of course Ms Davies".

"Now what is the last thing you wanted to show me? I'm a busy lady so make this quick!" She crosses her other leg over as she sits proud in her chair.

"Mr X had this signed and redrafted after Tiger died and after Shiva deserted us."

He passes over to her a second folder, this time more personal. She opens it up and is shocked to see Mr X's will written up.

"All of his assets and funds, legal and illegal have been noted in there. You are to receive 40 percent. His finances are currently tied with various banks across the Cayman Islands" her face grins with surprise at the fact that she could potentially receive over 30 million dollars. Her smile then turns to one of concern. "Wait this can't be right it has to be a fake!"

"What do you mean?" The Doctor questions her.

"It's saying that the other 60 percent is to be delivered and split between to his two children. The twins dies over twenty years ago, it was all over the papers! The Ali Cartel massacred his wife and children!"

"And you are forgetting what my scientists and our wonderful community in Lima are capable of" he grins.

"They're alive?" She replies astonished in her voice.

"Mr X had me freeze their bodies before we transported them to Lima six years ago. He knew the day would come when we would make our breakthrough. However this was kept with the upmost confidentiality, even Mr X's right hand man Steffan Visser had no idea what was going on. As I mentioned earlier, all you need is one tube of blood containing chains of DNA and endless possibilities together with powerful friends here in Lima".

"You mean witch doctors and the freaks that live here".

"You saw it for yourself with General Petrov didn't you? That miracle happened on this soil when the rest of the world thought he was dead".

Her eyes widen with curiosity. "So where are they then?"

"They are in a safe hidden location right now but with Mr X dead, you are now their acting guardian until their 18th birthday".

"They sound extraordinary"

"Yes, to the people of Lima they are miracle children".

"When can I meet them then?" She asks feeling intrigued.

"All in good time, all in good time" he smiles.
