Hours had elapsed, and Vic was right inside his old apartment, Clymenus Suite. He stared at the pictures of him and Louise the two had taken at the carnival five days ago. He was still heartbroken over the loss of his girlfriend, especially after everything the poor woman went through. To make matters worse, Mary-Beth was now going to live the rest of her life without a mother, and Vic had planned beforehand for Mary-Beth not to forget about her mother.

Vic then remembered the messages Diaz sent him hour ago. While he was still depressed over Louise's murder, he knew that it was vital for him to complete the task. So he decided to suck it up for a while and head over to Diaz's mansion. He could save his sorrow for after he finished the mission.

Vic put on his army clothing and walked outside to find that the nocturnal sky was no longer colorful anymore. It was now dark and gloomy and ready for the rain to fall. His mood must have had an effect on the weather. It was rather silent outside, and very few cars drove on the road.

Vic walked past the carnival to see that it was closed. It reminded him of the good times he had with Louise there, how they each learned what love meant, how they finally kissed for the first time on the Ferris wheel. It only put a bigger strain on his heart.

He continued walking until he finally came to the bridge leading to Starfish Island. As Vic made it to the other end of the bridge, he turned left and took the driveway leading to Diaz's mansion. Vic hopped out of the vehicle and walked over to the entrance.

Inside he mansion was Diaz in his room sniffing cocaine on the table. He looked up just in time to notice Vic at the doorway.

"Vic Vance!" Diaz called. "You ready?"

"What's going on, Diaz?" Vic replied as he walked inside Diaz's room.

"It's time for you to revenge the death of that girl of yours," Diaz announced, "and bring the whole Mendez operation down."

He then offered Vic some cocaine. "You wanna bump, man?" he asked Vic.

"No," Vic replied shaking his head.

"Well, I do," Diaz said as he continued sniffing the cocaine.

"Ah, Jesus," Vic muttered.

Diaz then raised his head and stared at the wall. "My spies tell me everything," he informed pacing the room. "This is the plan. The army took delivery of some new attack helicopter. Meanwhile, Diego Mendez thinks he's untouchable, just because no one can get to him in his compound from the ground. So... "

"So, how about I walk into the army base, ask Sergeant Peppah if I could take that chopper, and use it to attack Diego himself?" Vic asked sarcastically.

Diaz just chuckled. "Si señor!" he laughed.

"Si señor?" Vic asked. "You kidding me, right?"

He watched as Diaz walked back up to the table to sniff another line of cocaine. "That coke is doing something to your brain, buddy," Vic told Diaz.

"No," Diaz dissented, "it just helps me think...and it helps me get it on. It'll be easy, but you'll need help. What about Quentin? He can fly... "

"No thanks," Vic interrupted. "I know - what about this guy, Phil. He's an old army buddy of mine. He helped me get back into the military

"I love him," Diaz replied. "Go get him."

"Alright," Vic agreed.

"This is it, man," Diaz told Vic walking up closer to him. "No more Mendez - no more trouble for us!" Diaz then laughed loudly as he returned to sniff more cocaine. Vic just walked away without saying another word.

As he walked outside, he got a message from his pager for Phil, who wanted to meet him at the cemetery by Little Havana. So Vic used one of Diaz's Infernus parked in front of the garage to hop inside and drive away.

Vic made a left turn as he drove out of the driveway and straight down Starfish Island to go through the bridge leading to the long road up ahead. He made another left turn on the road and drove straight down the road until he made a right turn on Little Havana.

Through the street, he saw a cemetery up ahead, and there, he caught a glimpse of Phil and Mary-Jo just inside. Vic drove inside the cemetery and parked just close to the two.

As Vic hopped out of the Infernus, he walked up to the siblings to find that they were standing right in front of a blue open casket. Vic took a closer look inside the casket.

There lay Louise, whose lifeless body was lying inside. Her eyes were close shut, and her hair was combed back. Vic couldn't believe he saw his girlfriend lying dead in the casket. It only brought more pain in his heart.

Phil and Mary-Jo also stared down sadly at their dead sister. Mary-Beth, who was held in Mary-Jo's arms, was also sobbing at the sight of her mother's corpse lying in the casket. It was heartbreaking for all of them.

"I, I, I, I can't believe she's gone," Phil stammered in disbelief. "She was a good soldier...a good sister, I mean."

"We've lost a sister," Mary-Jo sobbed. "I'm gonna miss her so much. Why couldn't it have been me instead?"

Mary-Beth sobbed along with her aunt. Vic really felt the other three's sorrow.

"I'm sorry about this, guys," Vic told Phil and Mary-Jo. "I really fell terrible about this. This was not supposed to happen. I really loved her so much."

"It wasn't your fault, Vic," Phil told him reaching inside the casket to slowly pull off Louise's star necklace around her lifeless neck. "I know how much you loved her and wanted to make sure she was safe. I just can't believe I lost my sister."

He stared at the golden necklace, almost on the verge of tears. "Now this, this is what I am gonna hold on too to remember her by," Phil said storing the necklace in his pocket. "This necklace will never leave my side for the rest of my life."

Vic and Phil together lifted the casket and hoisted it over the dug-up hole nearby. They dropped the casket inside the hole and used the shovels nearby to fill it up with the pile of dirt next to it. In front of the filled-up hole was a tombstone with Louise's face on it, as well as her information around it.

Rest In Peace, Louise Wendy Cassidy

1959 - 1984

Vic, Phil, and Mary-Jo all stared at Louise's tombstone. "We'll miss you, Louise," Vic said softly. "I'll always love you."

"Vic, honey," Mary-Jo told Vic trying to calm down. "Will you drive me over to Louise's house for me?"

"Sure," Vic answered.

So Phil guided them to his Walton and Vic took the wheel. He drove out of the cemetery and made his way through Little Havana. The streets were really quiet at this time of night. Vic drove straight down until he finally made a left turn on the long road and a right turn on the bridge leading to Starfish Island. Vic drove straight down the road until he took the bridge leading to Washington Beach and made a left turn.

He drove straight down the long road leading to Vice Point and finally made a left turn on the neighborhood there, where he parked in front of Louise's house. Before Mary-Jo got out, Vic faced her to let her know what to do now that Louise had passed away.

"Okay, Mary-Jo," Vic told her, "make sure you take good care of Mary-Beth. Keep her in school, teach her well, and most definitely keep her out of the criminal life. I don't want her to share the same fate as her mother."

"I will most definitely make sure my niece here lives a better life," Mary-Jo agreed, and Vic and Phil watched as Mary-Jo left the vehicle with Mary-Beth in her arms and walked over to Louise's house.

Vic turned to Phil. "Okay, Phil," Vic told Phil, "now I'm gonna go to the Fort Baxter Air Base to ask Sergeant Peppah if I could use the Hunter inside. I'm going after Diego Mendez. I wouldn't ask for help if I didn't need it, but, I need it. There's an attack copter down at the base. If I could get hold of it... "

"You need a decoy," Phil told him, "and I've got all the decoy you're gonna need."

So Vic drove down the long road at the end and made a right turn. He drove down Washington Beach and made a right turn on the bridge leading to Starfish Island. Vic drove straight down and took the bridge leading to the long road up ahead, where he made a left turn on and drove straight down. He made a right turn on Little Havana and drove through a series of hairpin turns until he finally made it to the front of the Fort Baxter Air Base.

Vic and Phil hopped out to find Sergeant Peppah and the other soldiers standing in front. "Sergeant Peppah," Vic greeted. "Great to see you again."

"Likewise, Corporal Vance," Sergeant Peppah replied. "I heard that you were taking on the Mendez Cartel Downtown and I wanted to know if we could be around to help out. After all, we're all in this together, and seeing as how powerful the Mendez Cartel is, you'll definitely need an army to help you out."

"Wow," Vic replied feeling appreciated. "I really appreciate the assistance, sergeant. Thanks."

"No problem, Vance," Sergeant Peppah told him. "If you're looking to use the Hunter, it's inside the base on the helipad on the other side of the fence. Be careful when using her. She's a serious fighter. Are you ready to bring the Mendez Cartel down once and for all?!"

"Sir, yes, sir!" Vic replied along with the other soldiers, who were armed as well.

"Great!" Sergeant Peppah shouted. "So you grab the Hunter while the rest of the soldiers and I will march over Downtown to help bring the building down! Alright, men! It's time to end the drug trade once and for all! Ten hut!"

Sergeant Peppah then started marching, leading the soldiers chanting their theme song once again, and Phil even joined in on the march. This gave Vic a chance to walk inside the Fort Baxter Air Base and get to the Hunter. It was quiet inside, and the snipers were on the lookout on the towers. Vic headed to the main administration building.

Inside the building were a few guards inside that were standing by the doorways casually looking at Vic. The corporal soldier looked around the hallway in search of the control room. Vic walked down the very end of the hallway and took a left turn, taking the first door on the left. Vic discovered that it was indeed the control room and searched the control panels.

As Vic found the panels, he finally came across the switch that opens the gate with the Hunter inside and activated it. Once activated, Vic quickly dashed out of the control room and out the front door of the building.

Vic saw that the Hunter was accessible up ahead. He ran over to the chopper and hopped inside. Vic then started the engine and slowly descended the Hunter in the air until it was about at least 400 feet high. Vic began to accelerate and moved forward to fly the Hunter East for Diaz's mansion at Starfish Island. Everything below was dark and a pitch of navy blue with a few colors standing out.

As Vic flew over to the helipad on Diaz's mansion, he slowly lowered the Hunter onto the surface and stopped the engine as he hopped out. The mission was a success, and Vic walked over through the stairwell to take the stairs inside the mansion to talk to Diaz.
