Ryou's eyes looked up, a look of annoyance flashed across his features knowing what Raven said was true. What annoyed him was he still had to go through with this duel, as much as he loved to duel and challenge his friends. Without Bakura there, Ryou felt incomplete and weaker than before, and they had spent a lot of time soul searching and becoming a better pair of duelists for this competition. Now at the precipice of the final's, he would have to go in alone. "I know Raven, I just miss him and wish he was here. Because like Yugi, Bakura was the one that normally did the dueling for us." Ryou said a sad sigh was passing his lips while his eyes looked to the Pharoah, nodding his head towards his fellow Millennium Item wielder.
"Be strong, Ryou, and do the best you can, cause I won't hold back understood?" Yami stated while they approached the dueling field.
"I know, I just wish he was here, plus I wanted Marik to see us cause we got several new cards to use against you, and I have built my deck. But now he won't even be here to see them used to defeat you," Ryou said, a small smirk upon his lips, knowing to trust the Pharoah and that they would do everything thing to get Bakura and Marik back.
"Ok, duelists, set the realism setting's upon your duel disks." The announcer declared, watching both duelists flip their disks and raise the setting to four. "Alright, this is the last semi-final match of the competition. Whoever wins this goes to the finals to duel against Seto Kaiba," the man announced loudly. The thousands of fans roared with excitement and anticipation. "You all are in for a treat duel fan's because these two duelists fought in Kaiba's Battle City tournament in the finals just as they are doing now, but it would seem that Bakura is higher in the ranking's than last time. He fought Yugi in the first round of the finals and nearly bested the King of Games so, let us hope this duel will be more exciting." The loudspeaker declared. Ryou was flinching slightly at the mention of his darker self's duel against Yami Yugi so long ago, his eyes clenching shut to fight back the tears while he took a calming breath to steady his nerves.
"Give me your all ok, Ryou." Yami declared as the two once rivals stepped towards the opposite sides of the field. "Duel with ferocity and make him proud. We will return him to you this, I promise." Yami said softly so that the thousands of fans could not hear as they both pulled five cards from their respective decks.
"I call tails," Ryou demanded as the hologram coin appeared and flipped high into the air. The coin came down with a metallic clinking sound spinning and revealing the blank side which represented tails. "Perfect now, let us begin," Ryou said, pulling a card from his hand, his eyes looked to his four remaining cards already forming a strategy within his mind. "I'll start with a field card, and I play The Sanctuary in the Sky," Ryou stated, his fingers slipping the field card into his disk. Suddenly a celestial city appeared around the stadium. A beautiful soft light filled the arena. The fans looked around in awe at the stunning Sanctuary that shined before me.
"The Sanctuary in the Sky?" Yami asked, slightly confused at the field card, his purple gaze looking around then back to Ryou. "You never had that card before, what does it do?" Yami asked, seeing Ryou smirk softly.
"Well, while I have it in play, any battle damage dealt with me through a battle involving a fairy-type creature is reduced to zero," Ryou stated, his soft gaze looking back to his hand. "Now, to continue my move, I will summon Zeradias, the Herald of Heaven," Ryou said, his fingers slapping the monster upon his monster zone. A beam of white light shined through the ceiling as a majestic looking warrior in a green helmet. His hand was wielding a dual bladed spear, his thick green wings flapping gently, lowering him to the field, spinning the sharp spear-like weapon before him (2100/800).
"Twenty-one hundred attack points right off the bat," Yugi said in spirit form his soft eyes looking towards Yami with shock. "Don't worry, Yugi; I'm not too worried," Yami stated, his eyes returning to the duel as Yugi vanished back within the chambers of the puzzle.
"Now, I play one card face down," Ryou said, pulling the third card from his hand, slipping the card in his back row, a card back appearing behind Zeradias. "It's your move Yugi, better make it good," Ryou stated; his head was nodding, gesturing that his turn was complete.
"Very well, it's my move." Yami declared, plucking the sixth card from his deck, slipping it to his hand. "I play Polymerization, to fuse Gazelle and Berfomet," Yami announced, his hand pulling three cards flipping them to reveal the spell card and two monsters. Ryou's eyes looked to see Gazelle, the king of the Mythical Beasts (1500/1200) Berfomet (1400/1800). "Now come to me, Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast, in attack mode." Yami declared as the two creatures appeared upon the field and began to meld together, forming a lion-like creature with wings and a single horn (2100/1800). "I'll then set this card face down." Yami declared, his hand slipping the fourth card face down behind his Chimera, leaving him with only two cards in his hand.
"Amazing, both duelists have summoned creatures of the same attack strength, and both have face-down cards. What will Yugi Muto do now?" the announcer declared as hundreds of people were cheering whistling. "You're amazing, Yugi." The voices of his fans echoed around the two duelists.
"Now, Chimera strikes down his Zeradias with Pulverizing Pounce," Yami commanded as Chimera leaped up and flew towards Zeradias roaring.
"Are you mad, our monsters have the same attack strength," Ryou exclaimed as Chimera struck Zeradias in the chest with its talons, Zeradias countered by plunging his lance into the beast's chest causing them both to shatter.
"Correct, but on the turn that Chimera falls, I can then revive one of the two monsters I used to create my beast. And so I choose Gazelle the King of the Mythical Beasts, in attack mode." Yami announced as a beam of light erupted from the ground signaling a revival was happening.
"I don't think so, Yugi, go trap card," Ryou stated as his lone face down to lift, revealing an image of Sanctuary of the Sky bathed in red. "This powerful counter trap can only be activated while I have my Sanctuary card active. Then when my opponent activates a spell/ trap or activates a monster's ability, I can then negate that effect and destroy that card outright." Ryou declared as the trap shot a red light towards the beam of white light, causing it to crackle and fizzle out.
"Well, that isn't nice. I was hoping to attack you directly with my Gazelle." Yami said, a look of annoyance upon his features. "Very well then, there isn't anything else I can do this, turn, I will end my turn," Yami announced, watching Ryou draw a third card from his deck.
"Hmm, interesting." Ryou was mumbling softly, his eyes looking over his cards." I play Card of Sanctity." Ryou said, slipping the spell into a spell/trap zone. "As you know, Yugi, we draw till we are holding six," Ryou said, seeing Yugi pluck four additional cards to his hand, giving them both six cards. "I play Sanctuary of Parshath. This spell not only takes on the name of Sanctuary in the Sky, but it also boosts all my Fairy-type monsters attack and defense points by three hundred. It also protects all my spell and traps that are already set upon the field from being targeted." Ryou said a slight smile on his lips as Yami's eyes widened slightly.
"It does all that," Yami said, his gaze widened in shock that a continuous spell had three separate effects.
"Now, to continue my turn, I summon Meltiel Sage of the Sky," Ryou stated, an angelic sage appearing before him, a large white light around its shoulders. White large majestic wings were flapping softly as it lowered upon the field (1600/1200+300/300=1900/1500). "Now I'll set these two cards face down," Ryou stated, his hand dropping to two. "Now Meltiel attack Yugi directly," Ryou commanded, the angelic being, lifted his hands as a ring of light shot out striking Yami hard across the chest. His eyes closed in pain as he slipped back afoot, wincing in pain.
Yugi: 6100
"Incredible, the King of Games has just taken a large hit to his life points." The announcer exclaimed as many of the fans whistled and yelled. "Get him back, Yugi." One of the fans in the stands yelled next to Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
"Your move Yugi," Ryou stated, seeing Yami pluck a card, giving him a hand of seven. "I summon my Skilled Dark Magician, in attack mode." Yami declared slapping the monster upon the blade as the dark mage appeared, spinning his staff and slamming the bottom of his staff upon the ground (1900/1700).
"Amazing, another stalemate." The announcer said through the mic while Ryou's eyes watched in curiosity.
"You wouldn't risk another one of your creatures." Ryou declared as he watched Yami smirk. No duelist in his career ever felt good when they saw the King of Games smirk softly.
"Oh, I'm not finished just yet," Yami said, pulling another card from his hand. I play my Dark Magical Circle." Yami said, slipping the spell into his disk while a large archaic circle surrounded Yami's monster field. "This powerful spell lets me look at the top three cards of my deck, if there is a Dark Magician or a spell with Dark Magician in its text, I can then add it to my hand. Then place the cards back upon my deck in any order I choose." Yami informed Ryou while he watched Yami pull the top three cards. His eyes were looking over them with a smirk. "I shall add Bond between Teacher and Student," Yami said, adding the spell to his hand, giving him six, his Skilled Dark Magician had a ball of light floated above his head. "Now to hold your angel at bay, I play my Swords of Revealing Light," Yami said, his hand slipping to five as three large swords stabbed into the ground before Ryou's monsters to prevent them forward. Another ball of light appeared above his head, adding up to two. "Your move Ryou," Yami stated, his eyes watching him draw.
"My turn," Ryou stated his hand lifting as his trap on the left lifted, revealing Solemn Wishes, his hand pulling the third card as his points rose by five hundred.
Ryou: 8500
"I then tribute my Meltiel to summon Airknight Parshath," Ryou stated, his hand plucking the shining angel and slipping it into his grave. While placing a more muscular warrior angel appeared with four hooves arm shining armor adorning its body. His hand was gripping a sword and shield, spreading his weapons (1900/1400+300/300=2200/1700). "Now, I play Cestus of Dagla," Ryou said, slipping the spell upon the field as two circular jagged daggers appeared melding to the shield of Parshath the other attaching to the blade of his sword. A soft glow of yellow light appeared around Parshath, having his attack stat rise by an additional five hundred points (2200/1700+500=2700/1700). The orbs above Skilled Dark Magician grew by an extra ball of magic, giving him three spell counters. "I may not be able to attack. But I know if I gave you another turn, you would find a way to give your Magician its last counter and summon your Dark Magician to destroy my Airknight. I can't let you do that, so I boosted his attack to withstand your Magician's power." Ryou said, smirking his hand had dropped to one card.
"Incredible, Ryou anticipated Yugi's next move to get out his ace monster. So instead of falling victim to the powers of Dark Magician, he has summoned a monster that can withstand its wrath." The announcer said excitedly while the crowd roared.
"Wow, all that excitement for a simple move?" Dudley said, rolling his eyes. I mean, it wasn't even that good of a move. All he did was, summon a monster, and boost its strength. Even I could do that." Dudley stated with a sarcastic tone in his voice. Petunia giggled, hugging her son.
"Yes, I'm sure you would have my little dudders." Petunia gushed, squeezing her rather fat son next to her.
The other duelists that sat in front of the Dursleys rolled their eyes at his statement. "Seto, you better behave, alright?" Raven said, grabbing his coat to stop him from getting out of his seat.
"I can't wait to crush that fat little ball of flesh," Kaiba said under a growl as his hand clenched tightly. His blue eyes were looking over his shoulder towards Dudley Dursley. Kaiba hated many things in this world, but one thing he hated most of all was a spoiled, entitled brat who had no respect for others. Hearing the infamous roar of his Blue-Eyes White Dragon, his fingers pulling the top card of his deck to reveal his Blue-eyes. "Soon, Kisara. You will get your chance to crush that little fat boy." Kaiba muttered to himself as he slipped it back to the top.
"My turn," Yami said, his hand pulling a sixth card his eyes looked over his hand and field a smirk forming upon his lips. "I activate my Skilled Dark Magicians ability, I can discard, and his three spell counter's too special summon my Dark Magician from my deck, grave, or my hand." Yami declared while his deck glowed, ejecting the card out within reach of his fingers. He was plucking it as he pulled his Skilled Dark Magician off of his disk and slipping the Dark Magician upon the blade. A light appearing before Yami as his most trusted creature appeared. The powerful Magicians hand-spun his long green staff before him slamming its end into the ground. Light from the stadium lamps reflected off the purple armor-like clothing he wore, while the archaic circle began to glow suddenly (2500/2100).
"What's going on?" Ryou exclaimed as he watched the circle begin to glow and spin around Yami.
"I just activated my Dark Magic Circle by summoning my Dark Magician I can then target a card on your field and banish it from the game," Yami announced pointing towards Airknight Parshath.
"I don't think so," Ryou said his hand lifted, pointing towards his only face down card, while Yami's eyes widened in shock, not realizing he would attempt to stop it. "Go Dark Bribe, my trap has the power to negate a spell or trap my opponent activates, but you get to draw a card," Ryou said as his trap card glowed as the Dark Magical Circle sparked and crackled cracking the archaic circle shattering it.
"Wow, that is incredible duel fan's Yugi was about to get rid of an obstacle in his way with his Dark Magic Circle. But Ryou was ready for the maneuver once again, what incredible counter dueling." The announcer yelled into his microphone with relish the fans going mad, clapping, and whistling.
"Well, it's still my turn," Yami announced, pulling another card due to the effect of Dark Bribe giving him seven cards. "Since I couldn't destroy your monster, I'll just have to prepare for it." He said, looking over his full hand. "I'll summon this monster in face-down defense mode," Yami stated, slipping the creature face down next to Dark Magician.
So far, Ryou had a single card in his hand while he had Airknight Parshath (2700/1700) in attack mode equipped with Cestus of Dagla boosting its attack by five hundred. His continuous spell Sanctuary of Parshath in play boosting the attack and defense of all of his fairy-types by three hundred. His trap Solemn wishes face-up on the field, raising his life points with every draw. Yugi, on the other hand, had six cards in his hand and his powerful Dark Magician (2500/2100). His Dark Magic Circle was gone, and he still had his face down card yet to be used while his Swords of Revealing Light had two turns remaining.
"I draw," Ryou said, pulling a card while his life points rose by an additional five hundred.
Ryou: 9000
"I'll banish my Meltiel, and my Zaradias from the game to special summon the Soul of Purity and Light." Ryou declared his grave slot, ejecting the two cards he announced and slipping them into his pocket. Pulling the monster card from his hand and placing it upon the field next to Airknight Parshath. Its attack and defense immediately being raised by the powers of Sanctuary of Parshath. The angelic being appeared not upon the field, but behind Ryou, a beautiful woman adorned with a shining halo and large wings. Whose arms wrapped around Ryou tenderly. His cheeks were blushing red as the woman held him. (2000/1800+300/300=2300/2100)
"Well, it would seem that Ryou has brought his girlfriend to the match." The announcer said as many of the males were catcalling, causing Ryou to flush deep red at their words.
"Since I still can't attack, I will end my turn," Ryou said while Yami pulled the seventh card, his purple gaze looking over his hand a smile forming upon his lips. I tribute my face-down monster." Yami said his hand, flipping it to reveal Sangan (1000/600). His hand was slipping the beast to his graveyard slot. Now I summon my Dark Magician Girl in attack mode." Yami announced the buxom blond apprentice appeared in a puff of pink smoke next to Dark Magician. Her hand lifted as she giggled and pointed to her cute face smiling (2000/1700). "Now, thanks to my Sangan's effect, I can add a monster to my hand with an attack strength of fifteen hundred," Yami said, his hand pulling his deck out and fanning it out before him pulling a single card and revealing it to be Kuriboh (300/200). Ryou simply nodded, acknowledging the creature while Yami began to shuffle his deck and re slot it. "Now I may not be able to deal you any battle damage, but I can still destroy your monster. Now Dark Magician attack and destroy Ryou's Soul of the Purity, with Dark Magic attack." Yami announced while Dark Magician spun his staff and pointed it as a dark pulse of magic blasted from the large shining gem. Soul of Purity held up her hands to fight off the blast of magical energy. "What's going on!?" Yami asked as Dark Magician's eyes widened, seeing Soul of Purity hold back its attack. Yami's eyes looked at his Dark Magician seeing Dark Magician's attack points dropping by three hundred (2500/2100-300=2200/2100).
"You see Yugi, while my Soul of Purity and Light is on the field. When my opponent attacks, all his monsters lose three hundred attack points during the battle phase." Ryou informed Yami as Soul of Purity pushed back the attack causing Dark Magician to shatter and lower his life points by one hundred.
Yugi: 6000
"Well, that is impressive," Ron said, nudging Harry as he looked upon the field, his best mate looked towards his red-headed friend slightly confused.
"I don't get it, what's so impressive," Harry asked, confused, he had barely understood the basics of the game, but Ron was the strategist of his group of friends.
"Right now, Yugi has the advantage with a full hand as well as strong monsters. But with Ryou's Soul of Purity and Light monster out on the field. It reduces the strength of all of Yugi's attacking monsters." Ron said, nodding his head, his eyes darting to the left catching Hermione beam with pride at his knowledge of strategy. "Plus with his spell boosting the attack and defense of all of his creatures by an additional three hundred, while Soul of Purity reduces all of his opponent's monsters by three hundred. It gave him the edge he needed to hold on to his lead." Ron explained, seeing Harry simply nod his head in understanding.
"That's incredible, Ron, good on you, mate," Harry said, praising his best mate.
"Well, we can't attack with the Dark Magician girl cause even with the boost from Dark Magician being in the grave. She still won't be able to take on Soul of Purity cause of its power boost and its attack reduction power." Yugi said through the mind link, his eyes looking towards his Dark Magician Girl's attack points rising by three hundred because of Dark Magician resting in the graveyard. (2000/1700+300=2300/1700)
"Now, I'll set three cards face down," Yami said, pulling the three cards slipping them face down upon the field, filling his back row with four face-down cards and Swords of Revealing Light. "It's your move Ryou," Yugi said, watching while Ryou drew a second card while his life points rose once more due to Solemn Wishes. The last remaining sword shone brightly, symbolizing that this was the final turn.
Ryou: 9500
"Time to say goodbye to your Swords and all your other cards," Ryou said as he slipped his spell into his disk. "I play Heavy Storm." Ryou declared, his eyes looking towards his Solemn Wishes card and field knowing his continuous spell. "This powerful spell destroys all magic and traps on the field." Ryou declared as Yami lifted his hand, one of his face-down cards rising to reveal what looked like Dark Magician and Dark Magician girl standing beneath Magic Cylinder. "Go Magician's Combination. I can only play this trap when you activate an effect. I can then tribute my Dark Magician girl too special summon Dark Magician from either my hand or my graveyard." Yugi declared as Dark Magician Girl smiled and looked back to Yami, nodding her head in acceptance, shattering into twinkling lights. A pillar of light appearing upon his field as Dark Magician took to the field once more, spinning his staff ready for battle (2500/2100). Suddenly a massive gust of wind surrounded the field, causing all of the spells and traps to shatter, having the attack strengths of both Airknight and Soul of Purity drop back to their original stats. Airknight Parshath (2700/1700-800/300=1900/1400) Soul of Purity and Light (2300/2100-300/300=2000/1800)
"Well, I must admit I am impressed; you not only managed to use one of your face-down cards before they were destroyed. But you also summoned one of your most powerful creatures to defend you." Ryou stated, his eyes looking towards Yugi, watching him nod his head.
"Astonishing, Ryou managed to destroy all of Yugi's magic and traps getting rid of his Swords of Revealing light a turn early. At the cost of all of his magic and trap cards." The announcer declared, his eyes widened as he looked between the two skilled duelists.
"Now, I'll play another copy of my Sanctuary of Parshath," Ryou said his hand was dropping to zero as the spell was played onto his magic and trap zone. The power-up was returning to both of his creatures, ensuring that Yugi couldn't attack with Dark Magician. Airknight Parshath (1900/1400+300/300=2200/1700) Soul of Purity and Light (2000/1800+300/300=2300/2100) "I may not be able to attack you, but you're still unable to attack me. Plus, with my life points over three thousand five hundred points higher than yours, I think I'm doing pretty well against the King of Games." Ryou said with a smirk, his head nodding to signal the end of his turn.
"I draw." Yami declared, pulling a fifth card, his eyes looking over his hand, then back to his Dark Magician. "Now, I summon my Queen's Knight in attack mode," Yami claimed to play the monster card upon the field. A woman adorned in red armor that was adorned with card suits, her hands grasping a sword and shield as she rattled her sword against the shield (1500/1600). "Now Dark Magician attack Soul of Purity with Dark Magic attack." Yami declared while Dark Magician spun his staff ready to attack.
"What are you doing, you know my Soul of Purity will reduce your monster's attack points," Ryou exclaimed as soon as he had said this the attack points of Dark Magician dropped by three hundred. (2500/2100-300/0=2200/2100)
"Yes, I know this, Ryou, hence why I'm playing this Dark Magic Expanded," Yami announced his hand dropping to three as he slipped the quick play spell into his magic and trap zone. The spell flipped up, revealing Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl standing in a magical circle glowing softly. "This spell has three effects, but I only need one thanks to you having no traps. Now, based on the number of Dark Magician's and Dark Magician Girls in my graveyard and upon my field I can negate activations this turn as well as Boost the attack strength of my targeted spellcaster by one thousand." Yami said, pointing towards his Dark Magician (2200/2100+1000/0=3200/2100). "Now Dark Magician attack and destroy Soul of Purity." Yami declared the magic, leaving the jewel of his staff, striking the angelic woman as she cried out in pain.
Ryou: 8500
"Incredible Yugi has finally dealt damage to Ryou's Life points." The announcer stated, watching the two duelists his eyes watching Yugi slipping the spell into his graveyard.
"Very well, I shall end my turn," Yami stated, watching while Ryou pulled a card.
"I play Pot of Greed," Ryou exclaimed, slipping the spell upon his field while his fingers pulled an additional two cards. His eyes were looking towards his cards, a smirk forming on his lips. "I tribute my Airknight Parshath to special summon my Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin," Ryou exclaimed as Airknight vanished as a similar-looking fairy appeared with immense golden wings with shining green orbs upon the joints of each wing (2300/2000+300/300=2600/2300). "Now, thanks to my spell card taking on the name of Sanctuary in the Sky. My Paladin's attack power rises by the difference in our life points as long as my points are higher than yours." Ryou informed Yami, seeing Yami's eyes widen in shock at the realization of what he was just told. His Lilac eyes looked towards the Paladin as its points shot up (2600/2300+2500/2500=5100/4800).
"Fifty-one hundred attack points!" Kaiba exclaimed, looking at the monster in shock as he looked towards Yugi. "How do you plan on getting past this? I wonder," Kaiba stated, his eyes narrowing, looking towards the immensely powerful fairy.
"Now Sky Paladin attack and destroy Dark Magician," Ryou commanded as the Sky Paladin raised its arms, blasting celestial light towards the Dark Magician. Having Dark Magician lift his staff in defense of himself. "Enjoy taking twenty-six hundred points of damage," Ryou said, smiling as he watched Yugi pluck a card from his hand, flipping it to face Ryou revealing Kuriboh.
"I discard my Kuriboh to reduce the damage towards my Dark Magician to zero," Yami announced, sliding the card into the grave as hundreds of Kuriboh appeared around Dark Magician, taking the brunt of the attack blowing up as Dark Magician vanished. "You may have destroyed my magician, but you won't take me down that easily," Yami announced, his eyes looking over his three cards then back upon the shining fairy.
"Maybe, but now Soul of Purity and Light attack and destroy Queens Knight," Ryou exclaimed while the fairy lifted her hands, blasting a ball of blinding white light towards the Queen's Knight. The sphere of light collided with her sword as she held her blade, trying to fight it off while it overtook her, causing her to shatter in bright light.
Yugi: 5200
"And thanks to your life points dropping by another eight hundred, my Paladin has now gained another eight hundred attack points," Ryou said, pointing to his Paladin as its points arose. (5100/4800+800/800=5900/5600)
"Astounding, the King of Games is now up against a monster whose attack strength is fourteen hundred points higher than Kaiba's Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon." The announcer declared as Yami looked upon the imposing angelic being with a look of fright in his lilac eyes.
"You may have an imposing beast at your disposal Ryou, but as long as I have life points. Then I'll never give up." Yami declared slipping his Queen's Knight into his graveyard.
"To complete my turn, I shall set this card face down," Ryou claimed to slip the card into his magic and trap zone, his fingers rubbing together now that his hand was empty. Looking towards his two monsters, his head was nodding towards Yugi.
"My move," Yugi said, his hand gripping the top of his deck, while his eyes looked upon Ryou narrowing slightly. "I DRAW!" Yugi yelled, almost ripping the card from the deck as his eyes looked over the card he had just drawn, nodding his head. "I play Monster Reborn, to revive Queens Knight in attack mode." Yami declared his hand was slipping to three as the spell card showed the revival symbol as Queens Knight reappeared, taking a breath. Her hands were gripping her sword, ready for another bout. (1500/1600) "Now, to continue my move, I summon my King's Knight in attack mode." Yugi declared as the male counterpart to Queen's Knight took the field. His body was adorned in Golden armor decorated with dozens of card suits all over. His left hand holding a golden circular shield while his right held a long shining sword (1600/1400). "Now, thanks to King's Knights special ability on the turn, I summon him while I have Queen's Knight face-up on the field. I can then special summon Jack's Knight from my deck in attack mode." Yugi said his deck, slipping the card out as he pulled it, slapping it upon the monster zone upon the far right. A regal taller male stood next to King's Knight his armor was a deep blue, his hair like King and Queen's Knight was bleach blonde. The shield he held was like a spade in shape while his other handheld the similar long shining sword (1900/1000).
"Can you believe duel fan's, Yugi has gone from having no monsters on his field to now having three impressive warriors ready to do battle." The announcer declared the hundreds of fans that were rooting for Ryou booed and complained loudly.
"What do you think Yugi will do?" Raven asked, nudging Kaiba's shoulder, her whisper heard by Jack as they looked towards Kaiba.
"Come now; you must have an idea, you have dueled against Yugi more times than any other duelist. Surely you must know of something he can do." Jack said, his accent thick in his words.
"If I know Yugi, those last two cards in his hand will most certainly help. Yugi doesn't simply play his monster's to be destroyed." Kaiba said, shaking his head. "They always have a reason upon the field," Kaiba stated, his shining blue eyes watched his rival closely.
"Now, to continue my turn. My Knights, you have served me well. I now combine your strength to assist me in this battle." Yami said, his fingers pulling another card from his hand. "I play polymerization to fusion summon Arcana Knight Joker!" Yami said as he pulled all three of his knights from his monster field, sliding them into the graveyard. The three images of his knights swirling together before his field, coming together as an immense towering warrior, appeared nearly a foot taller than Jack's knight. Its armor was more intricate and shining brightly while he spun his sword loudly, the tip of his blade cutting into the ground with a loud clanking slash. (3800/2500)
"Arcana Knight Joker!" Ryou stated, his eyes widened while his boot took a half step back." You may have gotten your powerful knight out. But it's still far weaker than my Paladin, and when it's my turn, I will destroy it, and my Paladin will get even stronger." Ryou said, swallowing slightly.
"Well, then let us see what else my deck has in store for you," Yugi said, flipping the one card left in his hand. I activate my Card of Sanctity." Yami announced, playing his spell. "Now, just like you, we both draw till were holding six cards." He said, watching Ryoug pluck six new cards from his deck, just as he did replenishing his hand. "I then place one card face down and end my turn," Yami stated, his hand dropping to five.
So far, Yami had five cards in hand, a face-down upon his field and his Arcana Knight Joker (3800/2500) in attack mode. Ryou was in a similar sort with a hand of six new cards and his two monsters. Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin (5900/5600) and Soul of Purity and Light (2300/2100) as well, as his Sanctuary of Parshath, face-up affecting his fairy monsters raising their attack and defense by three hundred as well as a single face-down card.
"Now, even with your spell raising your creature's attacks, and your Soul of Purity lowering my own, it's not enough to protect her. Now Arcana Knight Joker strikes down Soul of Purity with Royal Flush Slash." Yami commanded as Arcana Knight lunged forwards with sword-swinging his blade as shining card suits were glowing upon the blade's edge.
"You just triggered my trap, go, Draining Shield," Ryou exclaimed as a shining barrier erected its self around Ryou. Yami's eyes widened in surprise and realization a smirk crossing his lips as the magic of the trap struck his knight.
"And you just triggered my knights' special power, once a turn when he is targeted by a card effect I can discard the same type of card. Monster, Magic, or trap to negate that same type of card." Yami stated his hand reached his hand and pulling a card from his hand of five, flipping it to reveal Nutrient-Z. "Now, thanks to discarding this card, I can now negate your trap effect," Yami stated, while Arcana lifted sword swinging it down, shattering the dome of energy, sword slashing into Soul of Purity. Her power triggering was suddenly reducing Arcana Knight Joker's attack strength by three hundred. (3800/2500-300/000=3500/2500)
The blade had cut into Soul of Purity, causing her to cry out in pain as she shattered, Ryou's points dropped suddenly by an additional twelve hundred.
Ryou: 7300
Now, thanks to the destruction of your Soul of Purity, you're Paladin loses another twelve hundred attack and defense points." Yugi stated, his lips forming a soft smirk. His eyes were looking towards Paladin while its points dropped drastically (5900/5600-1200/1200=4600/3400).
"Is that good? Do you think Yugi has a chance now?" Hermione asked Ron as they all watched the duel intently.
"I'm not sure; it depends on how Yugi will get over Paladin's incredible attack strength. Forty-six hundred attack points aren't easy to beat in battle. Yugi mentioned to me the first time he faced off against Kaiba's Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon during the Duelist Kingdom, and that dragon had forty-five hundred attack points. He told me at that time he had to surrender the duel, but he never told me why." Ron explained to Harry and Hermione his best mate Harry looked at his ginger-haired friend a small smile on his lips. Nothing made Ron happier then formulating a strategy to win; it was why he was so good at wizards chess. He had the mental capacity to think three, no four moves ahead while playing another person. Ron may not have been book smart like Hermione or magically as powerful as Harry with spell work. But when it came to strategy, there was no one better to ask for help than Ron.
"There is nothing we can do but see what Yugi and Ryou's hands have in store for the next few turns," Harry said, his green eyes watching Ryou and Yugi closely.
"Now, it's your turn Ryou," Yami exclaimed, his head nodding towards his friend watching Ryou draw the seventh card.
"Now, I normal summon my Warrior of Zera," Ryou said, placing the monster upon his field, a warrior with dark skin muscular arms. His hand was holding a sword with the hilt resembling the face of a fiend. His head covered in a green armor helmet. The warrior gripped the sword and kneeled before the Sanctuary of Parshath (1600/1600). "Now, thanks to my Sanctuary of Parshath taking on the name of The Sanctuary in the Sky. I can now tribute my monster to special summon my Archlord Zerato in attack mode." Ryou declared, his deck, slipping the monster out as I plucked it and replaced Warrior of Zera with Archlord Zerato (2800/2300+300/300=3100/2600). The angelic warrior appeared upon the field, swinging an immensely long sharp sword. His back was showing two large white, flapping wings; his upper torso was incredibly muscular and well built.
"So you summon another fairy, he's powerful but not nearly as strong as my Arcana Knight Joker, what are you planning Ryou?" Yami asked, his lilac gaze narrowing slightly.
"Oh, this is going to be good," Kaiba said softly to himself while Raven heard him turning to look towards the Blue-Eyes Master.
"What do you mean?" she asked quickly, her head turning towards Archlord Zerato and then back to Kaiba, then back towards the angelic warrior.
"If Ryou is going to do what I think he is going to do, this is going to make for an interesting upset for Yugi," Kaiba stated, his lips forming a smile. (A puppy just died)
"Now, thanks to my Archlords special ability, I can discard a light monster from my hand while I have The Sanctuary in the Sky face-up on the field. Then, my Archlord's great power granted to him by his long travels to find the Sanctuary will allow him to destroy every monster on my opponent's field at once." Ryou declared, his fingers plucking a card from his hand of seven and revealing it to me Bountiful Artemis (1600/1700) Light Fairy Lvl 4. "Now say goodbye to your last hope for winning this duel." Ryou stated, his hand slipping the monster into his graveyard. Archlord Zerato suddenly let out a battle cry and swung his shining sword upwards, slicing the very sky with its sharp blade opening a tear in the air revealing another world beyond it.
"What! No!" Yugi cried out as Arcana Knight Joker was slowly being pulled in towards the portal. His special ability of protection was useless against this kind of effect due to it being a field covering ability and not a single target effect. Yami's eyes watched as his immense warrior was pulled from the field and destroyed. With a growl, his hand pulled the fusion monster slipping it into the graveyard, leaving his field empty aside from the one face down card he had placed two turns prior.
"Incredible Yugi's field is empty, thanks to Ryou's monster. His special power has eliminated the only threat to his victory." The announcer stated, holding his microphone close to his face, his eyes were bulging out of his head. "This could be the end of this round if Ryou declares an attack, he will win."
"Now, Paladin attacks Yugi directly." He commanded, his hand thrusting out as Paladin lifted his sword and swung the blade down, a large arch of celestial energy shooting towards Yugi.
"Yugi! Do something, man!" Joey yelled his face was being lit up by the approaching arc of energy.
"I activate my trap card, go Magical Cylinders," Yami announced, his trap flipped up, revealing two large cylinders in front of himself. The cylinder on the left absorbed the attack entirely, while it crackled. "Now, thanks to your attack, my trap negates your attack and redirects the attack straight at your life points," Yami announced, the second cylinder began to glow as it blasted the celestial energy towards Ryou. Ryou's eyes widened as the attack struck him hard across the chest, knocking him back several feet, causing him to fall upon his back, panting heavily.
"Ouch, that has to hurt, for those who don't understand, Yugi's Magic Cylinder trap just negated Ryou's most powerful attack and redirected it towards Ryou's life points for a direct attack of forty-six hundred." The announcer explained while Ryou slowly got up, his eyes looked at his duel disk, watching his life points plummet.
Ryou: 2700
"Incredibly, he managed to turn the duel around with a single card," Dudley said, watching the intense battle enthralled by the two expert players. Swallowing heavily, his fat hands gripping the sides of his chair as his gaze darted towards Kaiba, a shiver of fear running up his spine at the realization of his actual skill level.
"You may have stopped that attack, but I still have another attack," Ryou stated, his eyes looked towards his Paladin as its attack strength dropped to its original points, then being raised by Sanctuary of Parshath (2300/2000+300/300=2600/2300). "Now Archlord Zerato attack Yugi directly with Celestial Sword Slash," Ryou commanded as Zerato swung his sword down an arc of energy shooting towards Yami slashing him across the chest wincing in pain as his points dropped.
Yugi: 2100
"Now, since my points are once again higher than yours. My Paladin once again gains attack points due to the difference." Ryou stated as Neo-Parshath's attack points rose by six hundred. (2600/2300+600/600=3200/2900)
"Once again, Ryou has the strongest monster on the field, what will Yugi do to come back from this" the announcer stated, his head darting between the two duelists.
"I'll then play one card face down," Ryou said, his hand dropping to four cards as he nodded towards Yugi to signal his turn was complete.
" I draw," Yugi said, pulling a fifth card, his eyes looking over his hand then back to the field. "I play the Dark Magic Veil," Yami announced, slipping the card into his disk as a magic circle appeared. "Now, I can special summon one dark spellcaster type my hand or graveyard," Yugi stated, his life points dropping by a thousand points.
Yugi: 1100
"Return Dark Magician," Yugi announced as his infamMagiciancian appeared spinning his staff ready to defend his Master once more (2500/2100).
"Now, to play a new magician, I activate my Magicians' Soul's special ability. While I hold it in my hand, I can then send this spell caster from my hand to the graveyard to special summon either a Dark Magician or a Dark Magician Girl from my graveyard," Yami said, slipping the monster he revealed to be Magician's Soul (0/0) to the graveyard. "Now come to me, Dark Magician Girl in attack mode," Yami announced, his graveyard slot ejecting Dark Magician Girl. His hand was plucking the card and placing it next to Dark Magician. The famous buxom blond appeared next to her Master, in a shower of pink stars as she giggled. (2000/1700)
"Wow, I have to give Yugi credit. He has so many ways to restore his magicians to his field." Hermione said, staring in awe at the two powerful Mages.
"This is going to be so good." Ron said, sitting on the edge of his seat a look of amazement upon his features."
"How do you know it's going to be good, all he did was summon two magician's," Harry exclaimed, his head tilting in curiosity.
"Ryou told me that Yugi never summons Magician'san's for nothing. They always have a purpose when he summons them to the field." Ron explained to Harry and Hermione.
"I now tribute both my Dark Magician and my Dark Magician Girl to special summon my most powerful mage," Yugi said, his voice commanding as he pulled both of his magicians from his field. "Rise Sorcerer of Dark Magic," Yami announced as both of his magicians bowed their heads in respect as a massive archaic summoning circle appeared swallowing both of his magicians. A pillar of purple and black light and energy shot up from the seal while the Sorcerer slowly rose through the ground. His armor was a mixture of black and purple as blue lightning struck the floor around him, and his immense scepter (3200/2800).
"Big deal, so you summoned him, he can only attack me once," Ryou stated, his foot slipping back slightly as a shudder of fear ran up his spine.
"Because with his rise to power comes your Paladin's fall from grace." Yami declared his hand was holding two remaining cards. "Now, I play this card face down." He said, slipping the spell/trap face down upon his field behind his Sorcerer. "Now, I play my last card; I play my Diffusion Wave-motion. Now, as long as I have a level seven or higher spell caster on the field, it can attack every one of your monsters." Yami informed Ryou, seeing his eyes widened in shock. "Oh, don't worry, my spell has a cost, I must pay a thousand life points to use it," Yami stated, his points dropping.
Yugi:100
While his hand lifted, pointing towards his face down. "Go emergency Provisions, this spell destroys any magic and trap cards I choose on my field, and I regain a thousand life points per card. And the best part is my magic card doesn't negate the effects of any spell and traps, I destroy." Yami said as Diffusion Wave-Motion shattered, and his life points rose back to eleven hundred.
Yugi: 1100
"Oh, now that was a good move, with his last few cards in his hand. He not only managed to summon a more powerful monster than both of Ryouu's, but he played a spell that allows his to destroy them both at such a cost and then restore his small store of life points." Ron said, his eyes wide with admiration. "God, he's a master at manipulating situations in a duel," Ron said, smiling widely. Hermione looked on at her friend, a deep smile forming on her lips, seeing the joy on Ron's face.
"Now Sorcerer of Dark Magic will attack his Archlord Zerato with Ancient Scepter Blast." Yami declared, the large gem upon the scepter began to glow bright black and purple. Sorcerer's hands gripped the rod spinning it and bring it back down as blades of energy shot out striking Zerato across his chest. Zerato lifted the sword in an attempt to hold back the strike as it cut into his chest, crying out.
Ryou: 2600
Ryou's eyes looked towards his Paladin as its attack dropped by a hundred (3200/2900-100/100=3200/2800)
"Now, Sorcerer attack and destroy Paladin, once and for all." Yami declared his finger, pointing towards Neo-Parshath. Sorcerer of Dark Magic spun his staff once more, bringing it down as the gem glowed blasting blades of magical energy towards the angelic being. The fairy lifted his shield sword, pushing the attack back as he failed to hold the powerful energy back, causing him to shatter.
Ryou: 2500
"Your move Ryou." Yugi declared nodding his head towards his friend, watching Ryou pull the fifth card to his hand.
"I don't know what Ryou will do now. His field is empty, and his monster's gone. What shall he do to come back from this turn." The announcer stated through his microphone. His eyes were bugging out of his skull in surprise at the complete change in control of the duel.
"I'll start with this card face down, then summon this monster in face-down defense," Ryou said his hand dropped to three as his two face-down cards appeared one sideways to show the monster and the other behind the creature. "Your move Yugi," Ryou said, his gaze narrowing as he watched Yugi draw a single card.
"I play the magician's Library," Yami announced, slipping the spell into the slot. The card was flipping up to reveal Dark Magician standing within a vast library of tomes and scrolls. "This spell allows me to add any magic card to my hand from my deck," Yami said, pulling his deck out fanning it out. "I'll add Pot of Greed. Then play it." Yami said, plucking the card, flipping it to reveal a grinning green jar as he played it at once. "I now draw two cards," Yami stated, pulling two cards. "I play one card face down." He stated as the card appeared behind Sorcerer of Dark Magic.

"My Lord, what is our next move?" Lucius asked his knee bent as he cowered before Lord Voldemort. While he sat upon his ostentatious throne-like chair, his long pale fingers were stroking the large stone of Oricalcum while his familiar Nagini was nearby hissing with rage at the neglect Voldemort had shown her.
"Silence Nagini, I'm thinking," Voldemort exclaimed, his piercing red eyes darting towards the large Boa Constrictor, seeing her cringe and coil tightly around herself with fear. "Lucius, how many of our muggle duelists do we have to use right now." He asked the bleach blond haired aristocrat. He was watching as Lucius's back stiffened slightly at the question looking up.
"My Lord, we have but one right now, that brutish man Panik." He informed his Master as the sound of the heavy door thudded open.
"My ears are burning, is one of you speaking of me?" Panik asked, walking in his heavy boots clomping loudly. His eyes were looking at the follower then to Lord Voldemort, his brow rising slightly.
"Yes, Panik, I will have you duel soon enough. Rowle, fetch me, Mcnair." Voldemort exclaimed, looking over as his follower stood up and left the room, returning a few minutes later with another man.
"My Lord, you called for me?" Mcnaire asked, kneeling before Lord Voldemort, his head lowered in fear.
"Yes, meet Panik," Voldemort said, introducing him to the towering man who simply looked down upon the simpering man with a look of disdain. Mcnair looked on with a look of anger seeing the imposing muggle looking at him with a look of annoyance, and dare he saw disgust?. "Panik will be going with you to the tournament to assist you in taking down these annoyances," Voldemort said, his hand waving as Wormtail approached with two new portkeys for them. "You will have a few hours to updates your decks and ready your selves." He stated, waving his hand to dismiss them both from his presence.
"Come, we must update your deck Mcnair," Wormtail said with a sneer referencing his failed mission from before. Mcnair snapped as he reached out, grabbing Wormtail by his cloak slamming him into the stone wall next to the door of the room where they kept all the cards they had stolen.
"You shut up your little fat little rat." Mcnair snapped, his hand slipping to grip his throat in a tight grip while his eyes narrowed and twitched with rage. "I should kill you, you pathetic little beast." He snarled, while his hand tightened around his throat, causing Wormtail to begin to choke and turn blue. Suddenly his shining silver hand reached up, grasping Mcnair's hand snapping his throat with ease due to the incredible strength of his magical silver hand. "Ahh! You little bastard." He exclaimed, releasing his hand while Wormtail panted, rubbing his sore neck coughing lightly.
"It's not my fault you failed our Master's mission Mcnair now get in there and update your deck so you won't fail again," Wormtail said snickering having turned around to leave them both alone in the room.
"Well, this is just great," Mcnair growled, pulling his deck out as he put it aside and began going through the hundreds of cards pulling out cards from the piles adding and subtracting cards from his deck.

"I end my turn go Ryou," Yami said, nodding his head as he looked back towards his monster.
"Wait, I don't get it. Why didn't Yugi attack Ryou's monster? I mean his Sorcerer's special power negates traps, so there wasn't a risk, why not wipe out the monster?" Raven asked, her eyes looking towards her friend. A look of surprise on her face as she saw he was staring intently upon Sorcerer of Dark Magic as well as Ryou.
"I don't know Raven, what I do know is Yugi doesn't take chances he calculates each move so for him to not attack with his most powerful Magician. There must be a reason why he held back his attack." Kaiba stated, his eyes narrowing slightly.
"I draw!" Ryou stated, his hand pulling the fourth card while his eyes looked upon his field. "Now, it's time to end this duel Yugi," Ryou said, pulling two cards from his hand. "I play Shinato's Ark," Ryou exclaimed, playing the ritual magic card. An immense ark like boat appeared before Ryou filling his entire field up. "I can now discard a monster from my hand or tribute monsters whose levels equal eight stars," Ryou said, his fingers flipping the monster he was going to tribute for his ritual showing Moisture Creature (2800/2900) Light Fairy Lvl 8. " I tribute my Moisture Creature," Ryou said, slipping the monster into the graveyard. The Ark's form began to glow as the large doors opened, suddenly the ship shattered, falling away. I ritual summon Shinato, King of a Higher Plane." Ryou said as Angelic being appeared before him towering over the field shining bright white light. Its skin was a grayish-blue tinge with a stoic like face. Six long stunning white angel wings reached out stretching and flap once while its hands approached each out. (3300/3000+300/300=3600/3300)
Raven stared in awe the immense fairy-type while her glance darted towards Kaiba, seeing his piercing blue eyes widen while his Jaw clenched at the sight of the familiar fairy creature.
"No! Not Shinato." Yami exclaimed, his jaw was clenched as he stared at the towering fairy remembering it from their brief visit in the virtual world before the Battle City Finals. Now he was facing a fairy that overpowered his Magician in terms of attack points and defense points. "Now that the king of all Fairies has taken to the field, I think it's time I boosted his power even more," Ryou stated, while his hand reached out to flip his monster into attack mode. Reveal yourself, Freyja, the Spirit of Victory." Ryou noted as a young girl with skin-tight spandex like outfit appeared with pompom's in her hands stood up jumping up and down, waving the pompom's (100/100).
" I don't know what Ryou is planning, but to summon such a low attack monster onto his field is very risky," Ron said, watching the match intently as the crowd suddenly saw Freyja begin to glow yellow. "What the bloody hell?" Ron said, watching in shock as the glow began to seep off of her and reach out slowly covering over Shinato.
"What's going on, Ryou?" Yami demanded, watching as the attack and defense points of both Freyja and Shinato suddenly began to rise by an additional four hundred points, Freyja the Spirit of Victory (100/100+400/400=500/500) Shinato, King of a Higher Plane (3600/3300+400/400=4000/3600).
"Well, you see Yugi, my Freyja boosts the attack and defense of all my Fairy-type monsters by four hundred points," Ryou said, smiling while Yami looked between Magiciancian and the four thousand attack strength fairy.
"I'm far from beaten, Ryou," Yami said, his eyes glaring intently upon his opponent. His hand was gripping the last card in his hand as he waited, his eyes closing slowly.
"Shinato, King of a Higher Plane attack Sorcerer of Dark Magic with Halo of Divinity." Ryou declared, Shinato's hands forming a large circle as a white ring of crackling energy shot out like a saw blade towards Yugi's Sorcerer.
"I'm sorry, Ryou, but you're about to lose this duel," Yami said, his hand reaching out as the single face-down card lifted, revealing a strange coffin-like object in the shape of Dark Magician. "Go Magical Dimension," Yami stated as the large Iron Maiden appeared behind his Sorcerer. "Now I can tribute my magician to special summon another from my hand." He informed Ryou, causing his eyes to widen.
"Not if I have anything to say about it go trap card," Ryou said as his card flipped up showing an old man with a long white beard and a white shawl like outfit. "I play my Solemn Judgement this powerful trap card can negate any effect you activate or the special summon or normal summon of a monster on your field at the cost of half my life points," Ryou said with a smile as his points suddenly dropped by half.
Ryou: 1250
"I'm sorry, Ryou, but you paid half your life points for nothing. Because thanks to my Sorcerer's special ability, I can negate the activation of any trap you play." Yugi said, smirking while the Sorcerer spun his staff, slamming the base of his staff upon the ground with a resounding bang. The large crystal set at the center of his scepter glowed suddenly, while Ryou looked down at his counter trap seeing it crackle and shatter.
"What! NO." he exclaimed in shock and annoyance. His eyes watched as Yugi's spell continued its effect, pulling Sorcerer of Dark Magic into the Iron Maiden as it glowed. "Now, thanks to Magical Dimension, I can special summon a spellcaster type monster to my field," Yami said, flipping the only card in his hand revealing Dark Magician of Chaos. "Now come to me, Dark Magician of Chaos," Yami stated as he saw a black pillar of dark light fill his field. Suddenly the infamMagiciancian shot up through the light landing upon his feet, his hand spinning his black, blue, and red scepter. The tip of the rod held a large stone that began to glow. His body was dressed in skin-tight leather bound by dozens of belts. His headdress had two large spikes adorning each side of its head (2800/2600).
"You may have gotten your magician on the field, but it doesn't matter my Shinato will crush it, and then its effect will deal you damage equal to its attack points," Ryou said, with a smirk.
"Also, by successfully summoning Dark Magician of Chaos, it allows me to return a spell from my grave to my hand," Yugi said, pulling the magic card out, flipping it to reveal Card of Sanctity. "You forget Magical Dimension is still in play, Ryou. Its secondary effect, then, allows me to target a monster on the field and destroy it." Yami stated, his lilac and red gaze lifted to just behind Shinato just in time for Ryou to turn around seeing an even larger Iron Maiden appearing around Shinato and closing around him to destroy the powerful fairy.
"This is amazing folks, both Ryou and Yugi have managed to summon out their most powerful monsters this duel. Ryou summoned out the most powerful Fairy-type in the game, while Yugi had previously brought out Sorcerer of Dark Magic. I hope you duel fans can appreciate the true gift you all have witnessed here. Now with Yugi's Magical Dimension gone and Ryou's Shinato destroyed. Yugi is set to win this bout." The announcer stated while Yami looked to Ryou, seeing his face with a shocking realization that his one and an only monster was weak and vulnerable.
Sighing, Ryou's eyes fell to his field, then back to his hand, and monster nodding his head. "Go ahead, Yugi, give me your all," Ryou stated, his head lifted with a smile upon his friend. "I must admit, this was the most incredible we have had in so very long, thank you, Yugi."
"Dark Magician of Chaos, attack Freyja the Spirit of Victory," Yami declared, watching Magiciancian spin his powerful scepter suddenly leaping into the air. "Attack Scepter Strike!" Yami declared, while Dark Magician of Chaos lifted his rod and brought it down. An immense orb of black magical energy crackling with blue lightning was released along the ground, leaving a torn-up patch of earth as the sphere struck Freyja, causing to cry out in pain and shatter. The resonant sound of life points dropping suddenly captured everyone's attention while they watched Ryou's life points drop to zero.
"That's it, folks, the semi-finals are finished. Ryou Bakura loses, while Yugi Muto goes on to the finals to face against Seto Kaiba." The announcer stated as thousands of fans were yelling out. "You did amazing Ryou great duel. You Rock Yugi. King of Games King of Games." Kaiba slowly stood up from his chair, clapping respectfully as they deactivated their duel disks.
"Good duel Yugi, I never expected you to lose this duel, but I must admit I was slightly concerned seeing your life points drop so quickly," Kaiba stated while Yami approached his most powerful rival, seeing a slight smirk upon his face. "I expect you to give me your all and don't hold back; I need to go and speak with the referee and duel committee about the use of the gods in our duel," Kaiba stated, his lips twitching a slight smirk while heading off to the duel committee table.
Watching Kaiba for a moment as Ryou approached Yugi. "That was by far our best match so far," Ryou said, slapping Yami's shoulder softly with a chuckle, thanks Yugi, it did help me to get ready to get Bakura back. Thank you, Yugi." He said, thanking his friend just as Kaiba returned, looking upon Ryou and Yugi.
"I've spoken with the committee; they have agreed to allow me and you to use our respective God cards. Considering that none of them saw our duel during Battle City in person only on tv," Kaiba said, informing Yami a slight smirk as he pulled out Obelisk to hand to Yugi.
"What are you doing, Kaiba?" Yami asked in shock, taking Obelisk back, a look of surprise and shock.
"Well, none of the duel fans know I have Obelisk, so let us just make it interesting ok," Kaiba said, thinking to himself. "I'll soon own all of the Gods after I beat you in our duel."
"The duelists will be allowed an hour-long break before the finals take place. So go and use the bathroom, get some snacks. Cause when you return, be prepared for the most climactic duel battle you have ever seen." The announcer declared as thousands of people began to slip from their seats to re-leave themselves as well as to purchase food and drinks for the next duel.
"I must admit, I was expecting Ryou to win that match," Ron stated, while they left their seats to head to the bathroom and concession stands.
"So, how did you like that match?" Raven asked as she approached the three wizards while Jack followed a step behind, smiling. "I never expected to see Shinato, King of a Higher Plane during this tournament. Though I think Kaiba was quite shocked as well." She said as Ron nodded his head.
"Why does Kaiba not like that card?" Hermione asked in curiosity, her head tilted while Jack approached while they waited for Ron outside the bathroom.
"Well, I remember Yugi mentioned to me during the Battle City finals they were all drawn into a Virtual world by Kaiba's Stepbrother. After the events of that little fiasco, Kaiba had to duel his stepbrother to get out and was face to face with Shinato, and the monster technically defeated him." Jack said with a chuckle. His eyes watched Hermione, and Harry's eyes widened at the knowledge that Kaiba had lost to another person, aside from Yugi.
"Hence why Yugi destroyed before it could attack, for if it did manage to attack Dark Magician of Chaos. Yugi would have lost the duel due to Shinato's effect damage ability." Jack stated while they continued to wait outside the bathroom with a roll of Hermione's eyes.
"Harry, can you go get Ron? She said with a hint of annoyance while Raven simply snickered softly.
"Alright." He said, shaking his head, walking into the men's room. His trainers padded softly upon the shiny polished tile floor while he headed in. "Ro-" Harry said as a moment later, a red light struck him in the face, causing him to collapse stunned to the ground.
"What the hell was that sound?" Jack stated, his eyes lifted towards the door.
"What is it, Jack?" Raven asked, her eyes looking to her friend with a look of concern.
Jack's arm suddenly reached for his briefcase, sliding upon his duel disk, cocking it back and activating the blade. "I don't know, but I have a bad feeling about it," Jack said, his eyes narrowing while staring at the bathroom door. Suddenly the door was blasted off; it's hinged, causing the group to scatter away from the bathroom. "What the hell!" Jack exclaimed as he pulled Hermione back as they had fallen back to avoid being struck by the door. The dust finally fell aside, revealing someone they did not expect to attack them RON!
