Thanks to V and Pink ranger 13 for the feedback!
Pink ranger 13: At this point, it is all but a guarantee that this story will continue. Star Wars will never end, and neither will this story, apparently
V: Seems I went a little too vague with what's going on. What if...hypothetically...there's two stories for Ezra? Hmm?
This Chapter is almost all about the character ComparedDread gave me, and I am very excited to work with. You'll see...

"Commander!" Ahsoka turned to see Rex standing in the doorway to their chambers, comlink in his hand. "Someone's contacting you."
Ahsoka looked at the beeping communicator, then at Rex, who shrugged. Throwing caution to the wind, she answered. "Who is this?"
"Commander Tano?"
The voice sounded familiar, but Ahsoka couldn't place it. "Who is this?" She repeated.
"You were Vader's Apprentice."
The voice carried no judgment, yet she bristled. "No, I was Anakin Skywalker's Padawan." Whoever this was knew who Vader had been. Which shortened the list a little. "Darth Vader is gone."
"So you say." The voice sounded less convinced. "I shall make sure of it."
Rex took over. "Who are we speaking to?"
"Sedyn Marr, Captain." The voice sounded almost respectful. "You will hear from me soon."
The comm fell silent, and Ahsoka turned to Rex. "I know that name."
"Sedyn Marr?" Rex removed his helmet, frowning. "Who is he?"
Ahsoka thought back. "A Mandalorian Jedi. A Padawan during the War, not much younger than I was." She smiled. "In the Temple, he used to talk about Anakin's exploits like they were legends."
Rex chuckled. "They kinda were legends. Even the boys in the 501st had trouble believing them." His smile fell. "If this guy knows who you and General Skywalker are, then he'll be coming after us."
Ahsoka nodded. "Probably. His Master was...unique. Not well liked by the Council."
"Why?"
She sighed. "Marr's Master believed that both Light and Dark served a purpose. That both were necessary for balance. He trained Sedyn in both the Light and the Dark."
"Great." Rex checked his blaster pistols. "So a Mandalorian Jedi who is looking for revenge against Vader, and who isn't afraid of the Force. Just great."
. . . . . . . . . .
Sabine entered the Medical Bay, only to run to Ezra's bed as he struggled to stand. "Hey! What are you doing!"
He grunted with the physical effort. "I have to get out of here."
Gently, she grabbed his arm and lowered him back onto the bed. "Easy." She cautioned. "You've been asleep all night. What brought this on?"
Ezra made to start moving again, but Sabine sat on the edge of the bed and took his hand. Sighing, he began. "Rex was in here earlier. We got a call from the Mandalorian."
Normally, that would worry her, except for one thing. "Ezra," she began, "Rex isn't even on Kamino. He and Anakin went to the old Clone Base on Rishi to go find supplies. He's been gone all week."
Ezra finally looked up at her, and his eyes almost broke her heart. It looked like he was close to tears. "What's happening to me?"
Sabine laid down next to him, feeling his head rest against her shoulder. "I don't know." She admitted. "Maybe you're hallucinating?"
Would you really know if you did?
. . . . . . . . . .
"We have a name." Rex looked at Anakin, then at Cal. "Sedyn Marr. A Padawan learner during the War."
"I knew his Master." Anakin nodded. "Jedi General Ta'll." He looked down. "Last I heard, he was leading a team of Clone Commandos on Umbara. Quelling the Resistance there."
Cal looked at him. "What happened to Master Ta'll?"
Anakin sighed. "I don't know." He admitted. "Vader went to Umbara a few times to look for him, but there was nothing. So, the Empire reported him as dead." He nodded to himself. "If Marr thinks I killed his Master, that explains everything."
"And he'll be looking for you."
Anakin nodded at Rex. "Yes." He stood. "I say we meet him before he comes to us. Before he has a chance to find us."
"Smart plan." Sabine was slowly nodding. "Makes sense. Keep him away from Kamino, away from Ezra."
She felt the room's atmosphere grow colder, and narrowed her eyes. "What?"
Silence reigned for a few moments, before Cal reluctantly spoke. "Sabine..." his voice trailed off. "Something's really wrong with Ezra."
"We already knew that!" Sabine scoffed. "It's not some revelation! He-"
"Sabine." Anakin interrupted her. "It's worse than we thought. Ezra's...changed. His Force Signature...what little I could sense...is Dark."
"He was possessed by a Sith Lord!" Sabine all but collapsed in her chair, recalling how those days after Dathomir had felt. "It's been less than a week, General. Give him time."
"I've been in his shoes before. As Vader." Anakin looked at the ground briefly. "This isn't lining up with what I know."
"And you know everything, huh?"
Anger threatened him, but Anakin released it to the Force before replying. "No, I don't." His voice was soft. "My mistakes prove that. I just want to help Ezra."
"We all do." Ahsoka's voice carried from the Command Centre. "And I know where to begin."
. . . . . . . . . .
You will die.
Ezra shifted. "No..."
Your friends will die.
"No, I won't let that happen."
Everything you do is for naught. Darkness is coming, and you cannot stop it.
Ezra bolted upright, then collapsed back to the bed. "NO!"
Mocking laughter filled the room, and for a split second, Ezra saw him. Red skin, black tattoos. A face that had haunted his dreams for the past decade.
Calling his lightsaber, Ezra ignited it and threw the blade at Maul, who vanished, being replaced by Anakin, who had his own lightsaber out. "Kid! Stop!"
Ezra choked back a sob as Anakin handed his lightsaber back to him, and sat down next to the bed.
"Bad day?"
Unable to respond, Ezra simply nodded, and laid back down. Finally, after a few minutes, he could speak. "I-I could have k-killed you."
Anakin nodded. "But you didn't."
Closing his eyes, Ezra tried to remember every lesson Kanan ever taught him about controlling his emotions, but nothing came to mind. "How-how long have you b-been back."
"Back?" He could hear Anakin's confusion. "Back from where?"
Ezra opened his eyes, chancing a look at him. "S-Sabine said you and Rex went to Rishi."
"No?" Anakin knelt beside him. "Kid, what's going on?"
Ezra stared at him in horror, tears slipping out unbidden. "I don't know what's real anymore."
. . . . . . . . . .
"Everyone clear on the plan?"
Anakin glanced at Ahsoka. "Last time I let you make a plan, Snips."
She chuckled. "Hey, you're the one who suggested going to him." She looked at Rex. "Be safe. Both of you."
Behind his helmet, he knew Rex was smiling. "Copy that, Commander." He turned to Anakin. "Ready, General?"
Anakin looked down at the black depths of Verristad. "No."
Rex chuckled. "Sounds about right." He turned back and held Ahsoka's gaze for a moment. "Wish us luck."
She nodded. "May the Force be with you."
"You too."
Anakin leapt down onto the black shore, feeling the tiny pebbles that made up Verristad's surface beneath his boots. Beside him, Rex used his jetpack to land safely. "Seems a little close to home."
Anakin nodded. "Too close for my liking, but if Marr got Ahsoka's comm frequency, he can likely trace it right to Kamino. We have to face him here."
Rex sighed and nodded, just as bright floodlights shone on them, and a ship descended from the black skies. Anakin strained to see any details. "What kind of ship is it!" He yelled.
Rex homed in on it with his rangefinder. "Looks to be a YT-1300! Armoured Hull Variant! We need to find cover!"
Before they could move, the floodlights turned off, and the ship turned away. Anakin followed it, turned around to see a yellow lightsaber ignited a few meters away. "Rex..."
"I've waited a long time for this." The man attached to the lightsaber, presumably Marr, spat. "You killed my Master."
Anakin ignited his own blade. "I didn't kill Master Ta'll!" He shouted, hoping his voice carried against the wind. "He disappeared!"
The yellow blade surged forward, and Anakin, caught off guard, barely had time to block, straining from the heat and clash of colour close to his head. "He's...alive!"
Marr, face covered by a Mandalorian mask, pressed forward. "I would have felt it."
Anakin Force-Pushed him back, listening to the sound of Rex's pistols firing while he stood from his kneeling position. "Maybe he didn't want to be found."
Marr deflected all the bolts into the ground before Pushing Rex back. "Stay out of this, Captain." There it was again. That odd respect. "Vader must pay for what he's done."
Anakin nodded in agreement. "Yes. Darth Vader should pay for everything evil he's ever done. I know." He dropped his lightsaber, listening to it roll away. "But I'm no longer him. And you can kill me if you want, but you will never find peace." He stiffened slightly as the yellow blade stopped in front of his neck. "I'm not him anymore."
"So you say." The blade stayed there a moment longer, before abruptly being extinguished. "There is no honour in this."
Able to breath again, Anakin frowned slightly. "Honour?" Calling his lightsaber back to him, he ignited it, the blue glow revealing no Marr. "What do you mean?"
The voice seemed to come from everywhere. "I wish to see your face when I kill you. Not listen to you cower in the darkness."
Anakin returned his lightsaber to his belt, staring into the sky as the YT took off. "What does that mean!?"
Rex removed his helmet, face resolute. "It means we'll be seeing him again." He sighed and turned on his comm. "Phoenix Seven to Fulcrum, we need a pick-up." He sighed again. "We failed."

Chapter Notes!
I). There's a whole backstory on Sedyn Marr, the Mandalorian Jedi who has it out for Vader. One that I'm very excited to tell.
II). So, Ezra's not in a very good place right now. Hallucinations, questioning what's real, attacking one of his friends thinking it's Maul... not a fun time for sure.
III). I threw in a few nuggets for a romance of a different kind. Anyone got anything?
Thanks for reading!
