A/N: I still have no excuse for not updating this regularly... But after checking I realized hey, there's actually only two chapters left. So I guess that's a good thing?
"It's time to finish this." Undyne's voice rang out behind the humans as the Monster rounded the corner, a spear materializing in her hand. The two were trapped now, with the spears on one side and Undyne blocking the other. When she had gotten close enough, Amiya could see the anger blazing in Undyne's eyes, the steady rattling of armor sending a chill through her body.
She intended to kill them. Just like she had killed Emily. Like Papyrus. As useless as it could be, she needed to try and protect Frisk.
"We just want to go home." Amiya's voice shook faintly despite her best efforts, shifting to stand in front of Frisk. They seemed to have completely tuned out of the situation, hands clenched into fists and eyes shut tight as they mumbled to themselves.
"Seven human Souls." Undyne seemed to ignore Amiya's plea, the Monster's eyes focused on the teen. "We need seven Souls to break the barrier, and live happily on the surface. We had six, but they were lost because of a human like you. They took the Souls, other Monsters, our King... Our hope."
The bright pink of Amiya's Soul glowed as Undyne raised a hand, sending a spear in her direction. Amiya winced, taking a half step back.

"Now we have five. With two more, we can get to the surface and take our revenge. Make the humans pay for what they've done, all the pain they've caused for our kind!"
Another spear. Another flash of pain, a sharp tightening in her chest. What could Amiya say to that? That not all humans were bad? Those words sounded like an empty promise.
"I... I'm sorry." Amiya started, unsure where to start as she let out a sharp, painful cough. "But you can't... I... Emily was six, she was a kid! How many more-?"
"The humans didn't care when it came to Monsters! Adults, children, it didn't matter. They all got turned to dust!' Undyne snapped, her hand clenching into a fist in response. She shot her other arm up, blue circles appearing on the ground around the humans' feet. Aniya grabbed Frisk's shoulder, yanking them out of the way as a series of spears shot up from the floor. That, at least, seemed to make them aware of exactly what was going on.
"Undyne, stop!" Frisk's call got Undyne's attention, her eyes narrowing as soon as she spotted them. She must not have realized Frisk had been there, or at least, registered who they were until now. "I'm sorry! But I-I can fix it! I just-"
"You're the one who killed Asgore!" Two spears struck, one for each to separate them. Frisk dodged theirs. Amiya's struck right in her chest, sending her tumbling and unable to breathe. The shot and drop into a sitting position seemed to have done something, her chest and throat having tightened. Her health began to drain away.

"Undyne, please! I just need a second to fix this, don't hurt her anymore!"
"I will make you pay for what all you've done! All the Monsters you've killed. To Asgore!" Undyne was attacking, spear after spear flying in the direction of the younger human. Amiya willed herself to move, seeing Frisk wince a bit as one struck their shoulder, but found herself practically frozen. "I'll make sure to bring you to justice!"

The second to last thing Amiya saw was a spear, watching it pop into existence in front of her before coming her way.
The last thing she saw was Papyrus with Emily on his shoulders, smiling as he offered Amiya a gloved hand to help her to her feet.
Then the world went black.
