32. Asking (Jasper's POV:)

When Carlisle was unoccupied Tam and I went to his office and knocked.

"Who is it?!"

"It's Tammy and Jasper!"

"Come in!" As Tam and I entered, I could sense Carlisle's calmness...his unnatural calmness...

"What can I do for you?" He asked calmly.

"Tammy wants to ask you something."

"What would you like to ask Tammy?"

"Carlisle...you know if the baby is half-human and half-vampire/vampiress? Could you change me last minute so that I can survive?" Carlisle's face looked flabbergasted.

"I-I'll see what I can do." He stammered. I could sense his apprehension and uneasiness, so I decided to send some calm waves to him.

"Thank you." He enunciated in a low whisper that only I could hear.

"You're welcome." I also enunciated on a low whisper that only he could hear.
