In the face of danger and surprise, people tend to see their lives flash before their eyes. It normally holds precious memories of loved ones or regret on their past actions. Others reflect on what led them to that point.

"Is he really Quirkless?"

"Go away you damn weirdo!"

"Just ignore him. He'll go away soon."

"Why are you here?!"

"I don't need your damn help!"

"Quirkless freak!"

Izuku clutched onto his notebook tightly. The knowledge of his numerous drawings and notes on the hero gave him some level of comfort. No matter what was thrown his way, Izuku would always have those notes held to his chest. Any part of his impossible dream that he can hold, he'll never let it go.

"There he is again."

"Wouldn't it be better if he wasn't here?"

"Did you hear that he wanted to be a hero? What a loser!"

"His mumblings are kinda freaky."

"Leave nerd."

Takahashi was the only one that knew a good extent of his bullying. He healed most of those injuries. Always cursing the students around him and with Izuku always trying to prevent his mentor's wrath from destroying a few kids. Through some intense begging and tears, Izuku managed to convince the old man to deal with his problems alone. In exchange, Takahashi wouldn't approach his tormentors but instead teach Izuku how to defend himself.

"Did you see him try to swing at me?"

"Midoriya? Did he really think he could land a hit?"

"Midoriya, I was told you tried to hit this student here. We do not tolerate these actions."

"Izuku, why were you fighting? Please tell me!"

Some good that did. Each time one of his tormentors pushed him, Izuku was poised to strike. One good hit to tell them to back off, but each time he was ready, his body wouldn't attack. Why? Why wouldn't it follow through?!

"Don't look at him. He might come over here."

"Geez, he's so plain."

"He's, like, the last person I'd ever think of dating."

And then on subject of his luck with the opposite sex. He was no stranger to love. His mother's love of J-Dramas, shojo manga, and love songs from both east and western artists was well recorded in his memories. Heck, on rare days where Izuku was tired of hero news, he \ opened a few books to indulge his own teenage fantasies. However real life never acted like it did in a manga. Few people ever showed him a level of affection of a lover or even a close friend. There was one but...that was part of a really long day.

"You really think you can stand up to me Deku?! You fucking weakling!"

"You can't do anything, Deku."

Kacchan. His former best friend and one of the most complicated relationships he's ever experienced. Despite how it looked from the outside, the two were very similar. They both admired All Might, they both were very analytical on heroes and villains, and they both desired to be great heroes. Yet fate's hand drove a wedge between the two and left Izuku stewing in both hatred and admiration for the blonde. It was really unfair and confusing.

"You need to be taught a lesson."

Izuku looked up and for a second saw Bakugou. He raised his hands up and they began to glow. The treatment of the quirkless was once seen as the nightmare scenario when quirks first appeared. Nowadays, it's become a footnote in history.

Bakugou sneered and fired.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Izuku's eyes snapped back to reality as he felt three bullets finally make contact. Bakugou disappeared and was replaced by Jun. His purple eyes staring daggers at him as he crashed against the shelf.

"Izuku!" Momo yelled as Izuku slid to the floor. The center of his chest, his abdomen, and shoulder were smoking and he slid down the shelf to the floor. Jun blinked for a second before his entire face started sweating. All the energy and malice flowing through has left his body.

"Wh-What?" His eyes became clear and no longer had their purple hue. "What did I do? Why do I have a gun?!"

"You quirkless bastard! What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"SHUT UP!" Jun yelled. He didn't notice Mina and Momo were on top of him. Momo grabbed onto Jun's wrist and twisted it. He grunted in pain and dropped the gun while Mina went low to deliver a hard uppercut to his chin.

Jun landed on the ground hard and was dazed. The two girls kicked the gun away and secured the shooter. Holding him down, the two held on tightly to his arms. Jun struggled a little but was stopped when a foot hit him in the face.

"Hey!" They looked to see Shintani glaring down at the guy as he clutched his shoulder.

"Don't "hey" me! This bastard wanted to shoot us! He doesn't know his place." Mina caught the next kick before it could land. "Let go! He needs to-"

"He Needs Nothing." A deep growl rumbled. Everyone in the store froze as they turned to the source. Jun's eyes were trying to focus as Izuku stood up. The bullets fell off him as his face was twisted up in anger. "Do not hit him. Do not speak to him."

"H-He was going to kill me. He shot you!" Izuku took a few steps and everyone could feel the sense of raw tension emitting from him. Approaching the protesting man, Izuku just stared at him. "He was going to, you know, he did something bad."

Izuku's glare didn't falter. The man backed down as Izuku turned to Momo. "Call the police. Let them bring paramedics for the injured. And let me hold Jun."

Momo and Mina let the quirkless man go as Izuku reached down and restrained him himself. Jun groaned as Izuku held him up while Momo called the police. "You ok?"

The shooter turned over to Izuku and felt the grip was loose, but everything fueling him before has left him. Now, he was just standing there. "Mina really hit you hard."

"I shot you. Three times."

"I'm still alive." Izuku said.

"You've got the quirk to survive bullets." Jun said. He chuckled sadly to himself. "Lucky you. I guess I'm happy that I shot someone that could survive."

"You wanted to kill people today." Izuku cut straight to the point. "You were willing to kill. Why?"

Jun watched as Shintani shifted over to the rest of the crowd while Mina was making sure everyone else was calming down. The shooter felt his nose get congested as he tried to hold back the tears.

"I was tired. So fucking tired. They kept mocking me, beating me." Izuku felt a pang in his chest. "But you know maybe it's my fault you know. It was the only attention given to me. No one else would talk to me, comfort me, or even help me. I was alone with the exception of them."

Izuku felt the man shaking. Jun almost crouched on the ground if he wasn't being held up. "But even that attention wore me down and I thought to myself, "Why not?"

"You were going to-"

"Disappear? Yeah." Jun almost seemed relieved to say it out loud. Izuku felt the weight on his heart grow more and more with each passing moment. "But then I realized no one really noticed me. So I'd just die how I lived."

Izuku's sight became slightly blurry. "So you decided a shoot out would solve that. You would go down as a crazed shooter. Why? How does that make sense?"

Jun laughed a little as he sobbed before his expression became increasingly downtrodden. "I-I don't know how? I just remember looking at the gun before someone put their hand on my shoulder and the next thing I know is going through with it."

The hero in training blinked the tears away as he got curious. "Who?"

"I think-" The door busted open and several police officers entered the building with their guns drawn. "Shit."

"Who?" Izuku pressed on before the police approached him.

"We'll take it from here, son. Let us handle this." Izuku reluctantly let go as Jun was led out. One person was looking in on them before leaving the window.

Mina and Momo appeared behind him. "Midori, you ok? You look sad."

"Izuku, the police are asking for witness reports. We should handle that right away." The green teen nodded and walked out. He slightly winced when he felt the adrenaline wearing off. The trio of students walked out of the store.

The police put Jun in handcuffs and placed him behind the doorway. They took him away while everyone else gave their report. Izuku, Momo, and Mina were last but most of the reports indicated them to be in the center of the action.

One of the police officers approached them and heard their statements. "You three. You three are from U.A, correct?"

"Yes sir." Momo replied.

"Well that makes sense on why you three seemed to react in the face of danger. Most people freeze. It's good to see future heroes at work." He turned to Izuku. "And we won't scold you on using your quirk. In this case it was self defense so there wasn't any misuse of it."

"Right." Izuku said. "Hey, what's going to happen to Jun? The gunman?"

"Him? Well he didn't kill anyone, but he injured civilians, brandished a weapon, and held people hostage. He's looking for some time in prison. Which sucks too. With the poor man's quirkless nature, it won't be pretty."

Izuku's fist clenched. "He was pushed to this. Someone in that crowd took part in tormenting that man and pushed him to this. Why isn't there any justice for that?"

"Are you saying this individual pushed him into becoming a shooter?"

"No, but-"

"Did he goad the man into performing these actions?"

"No, but-"

The officer raised his hand to silence Izuku. "Then there's nothing we can do. Each and every one of us are in charge of our actions. If he was having problems then he should've come forth with someone."

"He had no one! There was no one there for him. Everyone kept treating him like he didn't exist! How can someone like him be guided if there's no one to help him!" Mina and Momo were taken back by Izuku's flash of anger as the officer flinched. His gaze hardened as he stared at Midoriya.

"It's not our problem on how we treat people with his condition."

"Condition? Right. It'd just be better if we moved along instead of talking about his condition. Ignoring it." Izuku said before going quiet and lowering his head. His bangs covered his eyes as the officer finalized his report and dismissed them. Izuku didn't say a word before Mina and Momo guided him away from the scene.

"Izuku. What was that? You back-talked an officer. That's not how future heroes should react."

"..."

"Midori, did you know the guy?"

"No." His pulse was rising with anger as he kept replaying the conversation. "Condition? It's a condition to ignore people like that. To not question or help them?"

"Midori?" Izuku turned towards his companions with a brief look of irritation before seeing their concerned face. In just a second all of his anger was gone. Replaced with sadness. "What's the matter?"

"Izuku, please tell us."

Izuku opened his mouth for a second before closing it. He finally unclenched his hand and saw bits of blood on his palm and fingernails. "...can I tell you guys later?"

The two girls were stunned when he asked, but he turned to them. The shadows covered his eyes as again. "Please."

"Izuku, if this is a problem then we as friends should help each other."

"Yeah Midori, come on." Their expressions were so precious and concerned.

Izuku rubbed his arm. "I will, but I need some time to really...process this. I will tell you everything I can, but not now. It's a little too much right now."

Momo grimaced at the thought, but she could see the storm brewing within Izuku. She relented.

Mina did not. "No Midori, this thing looks like it'll blow up soon if we don't do something. You can trust me. You can trust us."

"I do trust you." Izuku said. He tried cracking a smile to reassure them. "But I want to do this in the right mindset."

The two girls did notice his more aggressive behavior in front of the officer. This time Mina relented. "Fine. I guess we won't be doing our study session today."

"Heh, I know right. I'll make it up to you. Both of you when I get the chance." He flashed a brighter smile. He turned over and stretched. "I'll see you guys later."

And with that Izuku left. Mina sighed while Momo clutched at her chest. The rich girl shook her head. "He's so stubborn."

"He didn't even flinch from being shot." Mina said. "And he stopped moving when that guy called the shooter a quirkless freak."

'She's putting it together. Though we won't know until Izuku talks to us.' Momo thought.

The pink girl remembered the distant look in his eyes that one morning they spent and his entire mood before taking him out dancing. "We better head home. I'll see you in class."

"Sure." Momo briefly glanced behind her as the two turned the corner and went their separate ways.

Meanwhile Izuku made a few quick turns. The officer's conversation was now in full blast in his head. Condition. Did they have a disease? A handicap? The world didn't have powers before, but that was then.

'Why am I complaining? I got powers. They got me powers and he...those who don't have them are just going through the motions. I'm...I'm too lucky.' He reached the apartment building and opened the door. 'Let's not have Mom get on to me.'

"Izuku." He froze. Inko was putting her phone on the charger and quickly muttered something into the phone. She hung up the phone and hugged him. "The police called me and told me what happened. You sounded alright so I didn't worry, but…"

She pulled back and looked at his shirt. "Are those bullet holes?"

Izuku nodded. "We'll need to talk to Takahashi as soon as he's back. Until then…tell me what happened."

Meanwhile

"We found them." Takahashi lifted his head up as Tsukauchi returned to him. "The man you caught confessed to a ship just across Dagobah beach. We put the threat of you on his heels to get him talking."

"Is that so?"

The detective pointed to the door and the two moved out. Outside, a car was waiting for them and the two got in. The tires squealed, driving down the road to a nearby dock.

"He seemed plenty scared of you."

"Hm."

"He thought you were going to murder him." Tsukauchi said. Takahashi didn't answer for a second before turning over to the detective.

"I don't want any of their blood on my hands, but if saving Midnight and the others requires that then so be it."

Tsukauchi turned to him. "You're willing to kill?"

"As a last resort." Takahashi said. Silence fell over them when Takahashi sighed. "This killer. He got a name?"

"The Man in Pink." Tsukauchi said as he turned the corner.

"Man in pink? Are we really going to call him that?"

"Well unless he leaves a calling card or has any other distinguishing features revealed to us, we'll call him that." He and Takahashi locked eyes before he focused on the road. "This case has been going on for quite awhile. About two months. Luckily none of the press is aware of it or scared."

"You better give me everything before we reach the place where Midnight and the others are held. Argon is frantic and scared. Even the few similarities and mere possibility of me being this man in pink was enough for him to sick his gang on us."

The detective sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "It all started a year ago. A string of missing criminals has gone up. Naturally as criminals are mostly a cowardly lot, we never really paid much attention."

"Around the time All Might started. I know this. Get to the part where this affects our current situation."

"I'm getting there." Tsukauchi said. "Fast forward and a couple of missing gangs later, we discover that there was the possibility of a perpetrator behind the missing cases. We've collectively decided that until a face or name was revealed, the police would handle the case themselves. However that all changed around the Sports Festival."

Takahashi raised an eyebrow when the detective handed him a file named: Tensei Iida. His eyes widened as he opened the file and pulled out two photos. "The media managed to get word of Ingenium's defeat. They even managed to snag a photo of him being hauled off."

"Iida." Takahahsi's mind switched over to Izuku's classmate. Seeing that look in his eye before leaving, it was all reaching toward one thought. "This man in pink. He's the one who attacked Ingenium."

"Yes, but not alone. We managed to discover that the Hero Killer Stain was behind this attack. Ingenium managed to tell us that he came across the criminal during his patrol. However when it came to his eye…" He stopped.

Takahashi flipped over to the next picture and almost gagged. Tensei's face was busted open where his right eye was. The picture was fresh off the scene with the Ingenium helmet still splattered with fresh blood.

"Has this been made public information?"

"No. The police have officially labeled this as The Hero Killer's fault. If we give credit to someone equally as dangerous but without a sizable defense or confidence in stopping him, the general public will freak out."

"Hmm."

"Something the matter?"

"When we're done here, I'll tell you."

The two rode in silence when Tsukauchi slammed the brakes. They stopped at a small dock with a boat. Getting out of the car, the two men walked down with Takahashi flexing his fingers. Blue energy crackled beneath his fingertips as his eye color changed.

Concentrating around his eyes, his vision zoomed in on his target. A freighter a few miles off the coast. Though he couldn't sense anyone powerful enough to reach him, he could see a sizable force.

"We've sent out a call for several heroes and the police to make haste. It should take about twenty minutes for them to assemble and form a plan."

"Keep me updated then. I'll send word out that I've got Midnight and the others when I can."

"Still sure you got this? That one villain managed to snag your arm."

"If a villain snags me then they better make sure they kill me." Takahashi stepped on the boat. "I'll see you soon."

"You too."

With a nod, Takahashi started the motor and sped towards the ship. A few minutes passed as he got closer and closer. Closing his eyes, the layout of the ship was decorated with the life signatures of everyone aboard. Each one is distinguishable like a fingerprint. With one moving to the edge of the ship and…

"SHIT!" Takahashi's eyes busted open as he raised a hand. A fiery ball of doom blasted his boat. A large column of water rose from the surface as one of the gang members cackled manically.

"BOOM! LIKE DYNAMITE!" The man cackled.

"Oh yes, very impressive. Blowing up a small dingy." A loud smack was heard. Scarlet, the analysis lady, had a very annoyed look on her face as her companion clutched his head in pain. "Idiot! We just escaped the police and you're blowing up dinghy! What part of a quiet escape do you not understand!"

"Scarlet. Relax." The two looked up and saw Argon walking down. He was tightening some of his bandages around his arms. "People will notice if we don't get out of here."

Below them and hanging onto the side of the boat, their intended target appeared. He took a deep breath. "Bastards almost got me."

Climbing up the ship, Takahashi made sure that none of them noticed his presence. His feet touched the deck as he took a moment to gather his bearings. Quietly moving towards a hatch, he slowly opened it. Jumping down the entrance, Takahashi sensed where his other compatriots were.

First was Mt. Lady.

The few goons around her were leering at the helpless hero. The cuffs around her wrists and neck nullified her quirk. There was no way for her to grow at all to smush those smug bastards.

"You done whining now?"

"Does it stop me from looking at your ugly mug?" Mt. Lady asked. The guy rolled his eyes and chuckled to himself. Heroes lost a good amount of their bite when their quirk was gone. And for someone glory hungry like her it almost guaranteed her being as threatening as a puppy.

"Maybe I should knock it off like that old man did." Mt. Lady was stunned to hear that. "Oh yeah you didn't know. You're trending already. # down. It's hilarious!"

Mt. Lady glowered at the remark.

What neither of them noticed was a brief glint of blue in the dark. "Hey fellas."

"Huh?" One of them turned around to answer when blue tendrils wrapped around their feet and dragged them into the shadows. The other thug didn't get a chance to react as his ally's gun was thrown from the darkness and smacked square in the head.

Mt. Lady perked up when she saw Takahashi walk out. "Takahashi? You're here?!"

"Of course I'm here. The police are assembling to deal with the ship. I'm in charge of rescuing you." He knelt down to her cuffs and chains. His fingers were wrapped in energy and formed a blade. A quick swipe cut through like a hot knife through butter. "I can sense the others too. We'll need to split up."

Mt. Lady rubbed her wrists. "I can't believe they got me. On any other day this wouldn't have happened."

"Mt. Lady, pay attention." Takahashi said before another guard came in. He quickly kneed the guy in the stomach and slammed him in the back. "Kamui Woods and Death Arms are that way. Midnight is on the other side of the ship."

The heroine stepped up. "How far from shore are we? If we're not too far then I'll just grow and grab the ship."

"Not yet. A couple of the stronger villains are still active. We'll need the rest of the group out and fighting before you take on a task. Kamui and Death Arms are closer, so we'll rescue them first."

Mt. Lady huffed. "Fine."

"Is there a problem?" Takahashi asked.

Mt. Lady turned to him and shook her head. "No, no problem at all."

The heroine was about to move ahead when Takahashi walked in front of her. "Don't beat yourself up. Focus on saving your allies."

"Oh you just know everything do you?" The man paused and turned to Mt. Lady. "No go on. I should listen to you. You're better after all and apparently I can't do anything right around you!"

"What are you on about?"

"Every time I'm around you, things go horribly. Got tricked out of my money, you sucker punched me in front of reporters, and now you rescued me!"

"How is that last one-"

"YOU KEEP MAKING ME LOOK LIKE A DAMN FOOL!" Mt. Lady shouted. "I've been trying my best to get better at being a hero, but you...you embarrass me! People saw me get scammed and saw you deck me after acting like a complete bitch. I'm even trending."

Takahashi sighed. "...if it's any consolation, it was never my intention to do that. But your friends are being held hostage. If you've got any problem with me then you're welcome to come at me after this is over."

He marched a few steps closer and began to tower Mt. Lady. "Now will you follow me to save our friends?"

"Fine." She said quietly. Takahashi smiled and turned around. "We have backup right?"

"Of course."

The two snuck around silently before seeing Death Arms and Kamui Woods lying unconscious. With Mt. Lady on his side, Takahashi felt little need to use his powers. The two both took down the goons. Mt. Lady slammed her guy on the ground while Takahashi kicked the man behind his knees and choked him to sleep.

"Phew. We did good, right?" Mt. Lady asked.

"Your takedown is too loud. If anyone else was here then we'd be detected." The heroine got a vein of irritation, but held her tongue. The old man approached the cages and broke them. Dragging the two heroes out, Takahashi placed his hands on both their heads.

One bright blue glow later and the two woke up.

"What the?! What happened?!"

"My head hurts."

Takahashi helped the two to their feet. "You've been kidnapped and put on a ship just outside the city. The local police and some heroes are currently rallying to take these guys down. Meanwhile I was put on rescuing all of you."

"Oh, well thank you." Kamui said.

Death Arms flexed his arms as Mt. Lady made sure they were alone. "So what's the plan?"

"It'll fall all on my signal." He pointed at Mt. Lady.

"Me?" She said perplexed.

Takahashi nodded. "The police and heroes are nearby. I told them that the signal I'd give would be Mt. Lady standing in the ocean."

He pointed out towards land. "Death Arms, Kamui, you'll be on her shoulders and lead the charge against the criminals while I'll go save Midnight. I trust all of you to follow through."

Mt. Lady sighed. "Alright, we'll start. So I just have to expand and the backup will arrive?"

"They'll handle the others while you bring this ship back to land." He raised his hand to her. "It falls on you. You ready?"

Mt. Lady scoffed before genuinely looking determined.

On the upper deck, Argon and Scarlet were getting more agitated as they were receiving less and less intel from their crew. "The other heroes must be here."

"How should we proceed?"

Argon cracked his knuckles as his body began to warm up. "We will-"

BOOM!

A giant tidal wave hit the ship and the entire crew was startled. Out of the depths of the ocean, Mt. Lady rose like a kauji. A few men screamed, opening fire on the giantess. She raised a hand to block some bullets, but most were just pellets to her.

Then Kamui Woods and Death Arms appeared on her shoulders. Jumping down, the two led the charge. The sounds of helicopters rumbled through the air. More heroes dropped from the sky as the police.

"DAMN IT! SCARLET, JOIN THE FIGHT!"

Five Minutes Earlier

Midnight stretched her legs as the guards were paying her no attention. Besides her face having a black eye and a few cuts, the heroine was doing better than her colleagues. Her arms were cuffed and a horrible jumpsuit was placed over her costume to prevent any tears. Examining the layout of the room, she could spot several fans around her. They had proper counter measures.

"So how much longer do we have to guard her?"

"Until Argon says the word. He's very paranoid of that...guy."

"Guy?" Midnight leaned in closer.

"You know. That pink guy killing criminals. The boss thinks that he's one of the new heroes tracking us. And from what I'm told, it checks out."

"...you mean we're guarding her, to hold back the man capable of slaughtering whole gangs?!"

"This vigilante has to care somewhat about some people right?" Midnight leaned back. They didn't know anymore than they did.

A small noise caught their attention. The goons pointed their guns at the door when someone dropped from the ceiling. Midnight saw Takahashi dismantle the weapons the goons held and grabbed both of their necks.

Slamming the two on the ground, they were out of the fight. "Midnight."

"Whew, about time. Come on get me out of here."

The older teacher knelt down to her level and broke the cuffs. "Sorry, I wasn't there to help."

"Oh it's fine. You could've caught me doing much worse." She chuckled before she felt his hand on her face. Midnight slightly shivered at the sensation of warmth coming from his hand. The wounds and fatigue through her body vanished as Takahashi pulled her up. "Much...worse."

"I've seen a lot of stuff Midnight, you have a high bar to make me see worse."

"Right, well, I'll need something to-"

BOOM!

The two co-workers heard the loud noise and turned to each other. Takahashi grabbed Midnight's whip and tossed it to her. The heroine licked her lips when she held her tool.

The two heroes ran out onto the deck to see a few heroes, police, and criminals engaging in combat.

Mt. Lady was standing in the ocean. Her giant form was drawing some fire away from the rest of their forces. Kamui Woods and Death Arms were doing their best holding back other criminals.

Midnight saw Scarlet running towards her and used her whip to tie her down. She struggled against the tool as Midnight dropped her knee, knocking the assistant out.

Takahashi scanned the deck and saw the main boss. Argon was watching from the top deck and was glowering. His wrists and hands turned into a fiery orange. "I'll capture the boss. You do your best to knock the others out."

"Of course." Midnight said.

Takahashi jumped into the air and landed a few meters away from Argon. The crime boss's hands were still glowing, but his face was sober.

"It seems we can't even trust heroes to save us."

Takahashi took a step forward and Argon turned to him. His downtrodden expression started to shift.

"Not when it counts."

He thrusts his palm forward. A blast of white hot heat grazed Takahashi's face as the metal behind him melted. Argon clawed again in the air as Takahashi jumped to the side. Another heatwave began to melt the metal where he once stood.

The boss started waving his arms wildly. Takahashi bobbed and weaved. His senses told him where the heat would hit, but even then his clothes and skin started to burn. Gritting his teeth, he formed a blue ball in his hand.

"Eradication Sphere!"

The blue ball cut through the air and hit the floor just in front of Argon. The floor disintegrated and the boss fell down. Takahashi dropped down to his level, blue eyes lighting up in the ever darkening room.

"Surrender."

"Surrender? Didn't others surrender before you killed them?!"

Takahashi sighed. "Are you still on that? I'm not-"

The room started to swelter in heat. Argon's eyes lit up as everything began to burn. Takahashi sweated hard.

'Ok think. His quirk is heat and from the looks of it, his hands generate the heat. He seems pretty immune to this level.'

"Just BURN!" The metal melted as Takahashi raised his arms for some form of defense. The heatwave hit him and the clothes started to burn. The battle raging outside began to cease as the police and heroes started to overwhelm the villains. Kamui Woods was trapping a few more villains when he saw part of the ship turn bright orange.

Midnight turned as well and saw the metal drip like water. Takahashi fell to the ground as a large slab of metal fell on him. The boss of the criminals dropped to the ground as well. His appearance was fiery.

"Takahashi!"

"I win." Argon chuckled as he stared at the fire.

BAM!

A fist broke through the molten steel and landed hard against his nose. Argon let out a choked noise as he was slightly pushed back.

"Holy-" Kamui started.

Argon's body and head rocked violently as blue streaks of light bashed against him. Takahashi walked out of his molten prison with only a bit of blood on his face while continuing to throw as many punches as he could. In just a second, Argon was already in the air when Takahashi grabbed him by the throat.

"Not exactly." He pulled him in close before landing the hardest uppercut he could. The ground shook as he sent shockwaves into the air through the villain. Argon landed on the ground heavily wounded. Gasping for air and blinded by pain, the crime boss could do nothing as Takahashi left him behind for others to pick up.

Kamui Woods and Midnight ran to him. "That was...awesome. How did you survive?"

Takahashi sighed deeply as he dropped his burnt coat. "I put up a barrier before it fell on me, but only barely."

Midnight saw a bottle of water nearby and picked it up. She handed it to her companion as he sat down to rest.

"We'll take it from here."

"Thank you."

Midnight and the other heroes managed to regroup as the ship was finally brought back to shore. Mt. Lady had pushed the freighter all the way where the police were waiting. Argon and several of his lieutenants were rounded up by Tsukauchi. All of them were handcuffed and unconscious.

"This should be the last of them. We can expect them to have a rude awakening in a few hours." Midnight said.

"Hmm." Takahashi said. "They put up an impressive fight. Truth to be told, it took a lot more than I thought."

"You took on the Nomu. How can anyone else stack up?"

"They were smarter than Nomu. It was easy between All Might and me since few can ever stand a chance for him alone." He crossed his arms. "These guys were ready for a fight. On the off chance they ever encountered this man in pink."

Midnight tapped her chin. "So Mustafu has a crazed vigilante on the loose. One willing to take lives."

"Vigilante doesn't seem to fit my definition of it. So I'll go on and call him a serial killer. If Tsukauchi allows me, I think I'd like to catch him."

As the police hauled off the gangsters, one officer in a mask touched Argon's arm. A pink spark erupted and Argon woke up screaming.

"BWAHHHH!"

"What the hell?"

"What's going on?!"

Midnight and the other heroes formed a defensive line with the police as Argon raised his hand. Sizzling could be heard as the other criminals held in lock up woke up in agony. Their blood was boiling from the inside! Skin turned red and began to melt. Eyeballs liquified or caught fire as Argon continued to scream. Midnight put her arms up to defend herself when she saw a flash of blue.

"TRUE SPEED!" Takahashi shouted.

And in an instant, Midnight watched Argon's body crumple before being sent flying off into the air. A loud crunch was heard and his body was firmly planted against the body of the car. Takahashi puffed blue steam from his mouth.

"Fuck." He muttered.

"Get the paramedics! Check the wounded!" One of the officers yelled. Tsukauchi and Midnight ran up to Takahashi to check on him.

"I'm guessing that was you. Good job."

"No. They're dead." Takahashi grunted. He turned to the charred corpses of the gang members caught. The paramedics could do nothing, but determine the level of damage. He looked in disgust at the man responsible. The police were prying him off when his eyes opened.

Midnight used her whip to pull one of them away as Argon pushed the other officer away. The officer went flying before Takahashi caught and the rest of the police pointed their guns at Argon.

"FREEZE!"

"No." Argon replied. The red hues of his eyes were slowly replaced with pink. A tear trailed down his face as he turned to Takahashi and pointed at him. "I can feel him."

His eyes then rolled into the back of his head as his body contorted into unbelievable poses. The sounds of flesh and bone tearing could be heard while many tried to hold back their last meal from making a reappearance.

"You...Takahashi." Argon's voice now sounded harsher. "You like to catch me, huh?"

'Wait a second. This feeling.' Takahashi stood up and walked to Argon. His sixth sense was going crazy as he could distinctly feel the energy emitting from the crime boss was different. 'Is this...chakra?!'

"YOU-!"

"You're welcome to try and find me. Alta." Argon finished before cracks in his skin began to form. Pink light erupted from the cracks and the body reacted violently to the massive stimuli. An explosion destroyed the body and sent body parts everywhere.

"Alta?" Takahashi mumbled as the body parts turned to ash.

"Son of a bitch! How did he manage to kill all of them?" Tsukauchi exclaimed. He scratched his head hard as Takahashi turned to him. "What?"

"We'll catch him soon enough."

The detective tsked and stood up. "He said Alta. That name mean anything to you?"

Takahashi stared at the ashes of the explosion. Midnight noticed his blue eyes slightly flashed red.

"No."
