That night, all of the servants were asleep in their private quarters. For Mimi, she could not stop tossing and turning from her dream.
"W…where am I?!" Mimi found herself in this dark room, alone. Unlike her usual cocky self, she was naked, and felt so vulnerable and defenseless. Her sister wasn't next to her, nor anyone else for that matter. She was about to have a panic attack when she was suddenly blinded by a bright light.
"Gaaah! Who's there?" It was this being who was unlike anything that lived on Earth or in the sea. Her fears were instantly washed away as this being held Mimi close. The being dressed Mimi in a bright white garment, unblemished by human sin.
"Mimi. Do not be afraid, my child."
"How do you know my name?"
"Mimi, I am an angel and a servant of the Lord our God. I was sent here to warn you, so then you can warn your friends. Come along now." Before Mimi could say anything, the two of them were whisked away into a whole new place. Mimi was amazed by what she then saw.
"Where are we? This place is so beautiful and peaceful." The angel immediately responded.
"Mimi, we are standing outside Heaven, where God's Kingdom resides. All of those who accepted Jesus into their hearts come here when God calls them home. Mimi, do you see that man over there?" Mimi squinted, then realized what she saw. It was a tall-looking silhouette of a man, singing God's praises.
"That's Pastor Max!"
"Yes, the one you and your bunch tortured and martyred for his faith. Because he asked for forgiveness of his sins, he now abides in God's presence." Mimi felt overwhelmed with guilt.
"Please forgive us, Pastor! We're sorry we hurt you!" The angel then turned towards her.
"He cannot see or hear you, Mimi. To abide in God means you cannot abide in worldly sin. That said, God has His plans for your friend as he does for all. Come along, I have something else to show you." Before she knew it, the two of them were in a completely different place. It was nothing like Heaven. As she heard sounds of screaming and weeping, Mimi became scared.
"What is this place? It looks and sounds so horrible!" Not far from where Mimi and the angel were standing, many millions of people were suffering in eternal torment from the complete absence of God. It was noisy and chaotic, completely free of God's orderliness.
"Mimi, we stand before Hell. These are the people who refused to ask God to forgive their sins and let Him into their hearts; they must stay here for they cannot abide in a perfect, holy, and just God. There are some people here you know." Next thing she knew, she saw those five she once worked alongside with. She froze in horror when she saw them.
"Gaito… Izuru… Eriru… Yuri… Maria…" Mimi was horrified by the sight. All five of them were naked, weakened, and looked to be physically scarred all over. They were being constantly attacked by these demonic creatures; all while being reminded of their sins while they were still alive on Earth. The five of them then turned towards Mimi and the angel, desperate to escape. Once they realized they couldn't leave, they immediately took to warning Mimi about what could be.
"Mimi! You must go tell everyone you know about Jesus! We do not want any of you to end up here! All we wanted was to be powerful, but we turned our backs on the Lord! Do not let yourself or anyone else be sent here, we beg you! Aaaah!" Just as they finished giving their message, they were attacked once again. Mimi recoiled in fear. The sheer depravity of this place was well beyond anything she could've imagined.
"Get me out of here! I can't stand seeing this!" Next thing, Mimi and the angel were back where they started. Overcome with emotion, Mimi began to sob in the angel's arms. "Please don't send me or my friends there! I beg of you!" As Mimi sobbed, the angel then spoke to her.
"Mimi, because of your sinful nature, you would be sent there immediately upon death. You said it yourself, the wages of sin…"
"…is death (Romans 6:23a)." Mimi knew exactly what the angel meant. He then continued.
"That's right, but you seem to have overlooked the second part of that verse. 'But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23b).' Mimi, it doesn't have to be this way for you or anyone." Mimi then looked at the angel in confusion.
"But why would God send all these people there? That doesn't sound very loving of Him."
"Mimi, God did not send those people there. In fact, He never intended for Hell to be for people. Only for Satan and his servants because they could not abide in God because of their sins. These people send themselves there because by refusing the free gift of eternal life and living in sin, they are hardly any different from the servants."
"Whoever you may be, I don't want to live like this anymore. Please free me and everyone from the curse of sin!"
"Mimi, the only one who can do that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He defeated sin and death so then all can be saved. You must ask Him for forgiveness of your sins. He loves you and everyone so much that he took the punishment on the cross so you could be forgiven."
"God… loves me? That can't be right. I've done so many wicked and depraved things in my life, there's no way I can be saved."
"That is not true, Mimi. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him (John 3:16-17). Mimi, I must leave now." Mimi started to panic again.
"No, please don't go!" The angel once again calmed Mimi down.
"Mimi, remember what I have told you. You don't have to have the same fate as your former friends. You must warn those around you to repent and turn to the Lord! They must be born again (John 3:3)."
"Born again? But I've already been born. How can that be?"
"Mimi, you must be born again spiritually, where the new you turns away from your sinful past and abides fully in God."
Mimi nodded as she knew exactly what he meant, and then the angel left. Just as Mimi tried to go after the angel, she woke up in a cold sweat.
"I can't believe what I just saw." With the memory of her dream still vivid in her mind, she slipped on her blue bath robe and sat at her desk, writing down everything she could remember. It didn't matter if her rushed handwriting resembled that of a child's, she knew this information was important. While Mimi was writing this down, she did not notice the footsteps behind her. It was the hand on her shoulder that suddenly got her attention.
"Sister Mimi?"
"Gaaaah!"
