Chapter Twenty-Nine

Alice comes out of her vision and both her and Edward are smiling big. Alice laughs "Way to go, Charlie!"

Edward turns to explain to everyone else. "Alice just had a vision, but this time it was all about Charlie escaping! Victoria must have told him something about how Alice's visions work and he thought he would try to get a message to us."

Bella smiles but quickly frowns. "But what if she figures out what he is doing?"

Alice is bouncing in her seat. "She won't! He probably isn't even going to try and escape. Remember, you just have to decide on what you are going to do and I can see it. So all he has to do is set his mind on doing it even if he really doesn't."

"And in the vision he is very clear about taking chains off and climbing up the wall to a window. The outside wall is blurry because he isn't sure what it looks like, but he then runs to the pier in Seattle towards a boat for help. The boat keeps changing and the direction he runs does too, but we now know for sure he is in Seattle and is near the pier." Edward states.

Bella pulls away from Edward and yells "So we know where to start looking in Seattle!? Well, let's go!"

Carlisle stands up "Bella, while we know where your dad is, we first need a plan. Then we will go find him and take care of Victoria once and for all." Everyone can see how hard it is for him to say that. He doesn't like violence, but knows if they don't take care of Victoria she would just keep coming back again and again.

Emmett grunts, "I like Bella's idea better. Go now and plan later. I think with this tricky…" he trails off and looks at Esme who raises an eyebrow at him. Then he continues "With her being so tricky, we need to almost do this as a surprise attack."

Jasper shakes his head in disagreement, "We don't know what her power is completely, but we know she has one with how easily she got away from us last time. Because of how easily it was for her to get away, we need to make sure we all know what we are doing before we go. We don't need a huge plan, but we do need a plan."

SJ pipes up "Well, this time you will have our powers to help so she won't be able to go anywhere." Jazmyn and Mary nod in agreement.

Bella frowns, "I don't want you three anywhere near her."

Jazmyn whines "Oh come on Mom, we will be fine. We have worked with our powers a lot and are getting better and better at them. We can help."

Edward and the wolves are all shaking their heads no, but it is Bella who responds. "I love that you all want to help and we all know how hard you have been working with your powers. But we just don't know what Victoria is planning, if she wants just me or you three also. Because of that, you will stay here where it is safe."

"Well, I will just bring Charlie and Victoria here. Then we can take care of her on our own land." Jazmyn says, thinking she won.

Edward responds quickly "We already talked about that, remember? We thought of having you bring Charlie here, but then Victoria would get away. And then she could be a problem for us again later on." Edward shakes his head at Jazmyn when she tries to interrupt and continues.

"And bringing her is not good either. She would know you have powers. What if she gets away? Yes, it is not very likely with so many of us, but she could get away. And if she figures out you three have powers she might do something worse." Edward looks over at Eleazar. He remembered his conversation with him when they had gone hunting.

Eleazar had invited him alone because he had wanted to talk to him privately. Eleazar had figured out a few years ago how Aro collected talented vampires for his guard. He felt horrible at how he had helped Aro destroy so many people who were probably innocent. Eleazar had been watching them all work with the triplets and Bella on their gifts. He was starting to panic and wanted to warn Edward to make sure to keep his family as far away from Aro as he could.

Eleazar assumed that Aro would want Edward, Alice and Jasper as members of the Volturi too. But was worried that Aro would see Bella and the triplets as the biggest prize yet, and do all he could to get them to join his guard, even if it meant killing the rest of the family.

Edward had been shocked. He had pulled Bella aside and told her all about it. Since then the two had done all they could to make sure Jazmyn did not bring Victoria here, even when it was suggested by Emmett.

Edward is pulled out of his thoughts and watches as Jacob walks over to Jazmyn and picks her up. "Don't worry. We will stay with you and make sure you are safe." Seth went to Mary while Leah went to SJ and picked them up.

Jasper looks at Edward. He is almost panicking… Edward glances at him then to Eleazar then back to him. Oh, he was thinking about his conversation with Eleazar. Jasper pulls Alice closer to him. The last thing we need is for anyone to find out about any of us...

"We cannot thank you enough for being willing to stay behind. I know not going to a fight is going to be hard on you three, but I know I will feel better if you were here with them." Edward states. Bella smiles at the three wolves in thanks.

Just make sure to kill her and make sure to keep Bella safe. You know there is no way she will be willing to stay. Jacob thinks to Edward. Edward nods once and looks at Bella.

Kate speaks up "Um, Bella? I know you are not a normal newborn and are very much in control of yourself, but are you sure you want to go? We don't know how much your father might be bleeding and with what I have learned of you, you will hate yourself forever if you ever hurt him."

Bella smiles at Kate. She really likes Kate. "I will be okay. I know if it becomes too much for me Edward, Jasper and Emmett will make sure I don't do anything I will regret later." She looks at all three who nod in agreement.

She doesn't realize how true that statement is. Emmett and I may not love her like Edward does, but we would protect her just as much as he would. She also doesn't realize it, but she has brought the whole family so much closer then we have ever been. We have always been a close family that would protect each other, but there is just something different about it now. It is so much deeper…it is amazing.

Edward is listening to Jasper and then looks around at the rest of the family. He listens a little to everyone and realizes Jasper is right. Even the Denali family is now intertwined more into their family. Well, besides Tanya who is still fuming about 'losing him' to Bella.

Eleazar is the next to speak up "Well, I am not sure how many of us you want but I know that all of us would be more than willing to come help as well if you would like."

Jasper smiles at him. "I think if it is okay with some of you, we will leave you here to help protect the children. Not that we don't think the wolves are capable of doing so, but since we don't know what her plan is the more here to help the better."

Carmen nods "Eleazar and I will stay to help."

Irina looks at Laurant and he nods "We will stay as well." Irina says.

Edward and Bella say "thank you" at the exact same time. They look at each other and smile.

The wolves and vampires staying decide to take the kids to go hunting while the rest plan.

While the group leaves, Bella thinks back to when the Denalis had first shown up. They had all been so nervous around the kids even after it had been explained they were not immortal children. It had not even taken a day for them to change their minds and love the kids as much as everyone else. Bella smiles and chuckles as she thinks about what Rosalie had told her a while ago, about the kids having everyone wrapped around their fingers.

Edward looks down at Bella questioningly when she chuckles and wonders what she is thinking about. She smirks a little more and opens her mind to him. She laughs out loud at the shock on his face. It turns to a smile as she shows him what she was thinking. Then she tells him a little more. Like how she had not told anyone she had worked on this. She closes her mind and watches as Edward's face turns to a frown. It was something she wasn't even sure she could do, but had been trying in case she wanted to talk to Edward without others hearing what she said.

Jasper looks between the two. "What's going on?"

"Nothing." Bella answers innocently. She is not sure why but she does not want everyone to know she can do this yet. She kind of likes having a secret between her and Edward.

Jasper looks between the two knowing Bella is hiding something but doesn't push it. She will tell us when she is ready. At least she is happy about whatever just transpired between the two of them. And whatever it was sure has made Edward happy. Jasper chuckles at Edward's expression.

Edward smiles more. He cannot believe he just heard his Bella's thoughts! He has wanted to do that for so long! He sure hoped she would do that again…and soon!

Carlisle speaks up, pulling everyone back to the subject at hand. "So, how are we going to do this?"

Jasper says "I have an idea." He then launches into his plan on how to save Charlie and kill Victoria.
