Danny opens his eyes and could feel some wet on him. He turns to see a sleeping Slimy next to him and had her pink slime on him.
"Morning."
Danny turns and saw Damn leaning in the wall.
"Guess Legion took more than we thought?" Danny asked.
"Yeah, your sister call earlier. We told her what happen and that you needed some rest." Damn told him.
"Heh, that's Jazz, overprotective as always." Danny smiles.
"The others are sleeping too. Demons don't need sleep, so I kept watch." Damn said.
"Well, with your job as a Soul Hunter, sleep isn't needed right?" Danny said.
"No," Damn said.
They both hear Slimy groan and open her eyes. She looks up at Danny who smiles at her.
"That's the first time you slept in your human form is it?" Danny asked her.
"Danny! You're awake!" Slimy cheer.
"Easy there Slimy. It still early." Damn brought up.
Danny nods and sat up heard cracking sounds and looks down to see the pink slime break off him.
"Sorry, I wanted to make sure you were fully healed. I guess I went overboard." Slimy said sheepishly.
Danny just smiles before hearing his stomach growl, loudly.
"Wow, I'm famished. Anyone got anything to eat?" Danny asked holing his stomach.
"Over there, there was some food left out after we beat Legion," Damn said.
Danny turns and saw the food. While Leo and Witcha ate most of the food, they did make sure to leave some for Danny. Danny got up and saw the rest of the pink slime fall off him and walk over to it and start to grab a few things.
"Where did this food come from?" Danny asked.
"Death left it. As if he was rewarding us for defeating Legion." Damn said.
"He also wanted us to rest and recover, saying there one more test for us," Slimy added.
Danny finishes getting his plate and sighs. He already had a feeling of what that test is going to be. He walks back over and sat down next to Slimy, who makes sure to keep her slime off of Danny's food.
"Well, we better be ready. If there one thing I notice is that we beat a few powerful monsters before fighting one of Dracula's generals. Death is waiting for us. And I got a feeling it going to be our toughest challenge yet." Danny said.
Damn and Slimy both nodded.
At Vlad's Mansion...
Vlad sat in his chair before he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in."
Slimina slips the door and forms back together.
"Slimina, what do you want now?" Vlad asked.
"Relax, I'm here to inform you that a Vampire wants to join us. Saying that it has something against Vampirella." Slimina said.
"Really? And what is that?" Vlad asked.
"Said he wanted to talk to you about it," Slimina told him.
"I see, send him in," Vlad said.
The door open and well dress man steps in. Vlad turns to him and the man bows.
"Ah, Vlad Masters. It's an honor to meet you at last." He said.
"And who might you be?" Vlad asked him.
"Forgive me. I'm Vampiro. And much like the other vampire you know, I'm a daywalker." He said.
"And what do you have against Vampirella?" Vlad asked.
"It not really against Vampirella but what she does. I don't approve of how she helping humans or other monsters. It's a disgrace towards our kind." Vampiro told him.
"So you wish to show her that her ways are wrong?" Vlad asked.
"Oh, more than that," Vampiro smirks.
"Well, we have been watching her and the others. You should see everything she has done before you decide to join us fully." Vlad said.
"Very well." Vampiro bow before turning to leave.
"Oh, and Slimina?" He said.
"Yes?" She answers him.
"Good easy on him. It doesn't know a slime life cycle." Vampiro said and left the room.
Vlad could have sworn he hear Vampiro say have fun and before he could question it, Slimina suddenly sat on his lap and presses herself on him.
"Slimina! What are you doing?" Vlad shouted.
"It's that time of year again for me. My daughter is too young but she'll fall into it as well." Slimina smirks.
"What are you talking about?" Vlad asked.
"Oh, Vlad. Your love for Maddie blinds you but maybe I can help with that." Slimina said before changing her body to look just like Maddie.
Vlad blinks and Slimina smiles.
"And what Vampiro means that it's slime mating season and you're the closet male around. Hellfire is impossible and Vampiro is new. And a slime must mate." She said.
Vlad blinks before Slimina goes in for a kiss.
Back at Dracula's Castle...
Both Danny and Slimy suddenly shiver, making the others turn to them.
"You guys alright?" Leo asked.
"I think so. But I got this really odd feeling that something happened that makes me what to throw up." Danny said.
"And I get feeling that I need to know something but I don't know what it is," Slimy added.
The others look at them but shrugs. After waking the other up, they move on. They were started to climb the clocktower again and deal with more Medusa Heads. As they climb, Slimy notices that Danny was in deep thought.
"Danny? Is everything alright?" She asked him.
"Huh? Oh yeah. Sorry." Danny said breaking from his thoughts.
"Danny? What wrong?" Damn asked noticing as well.
"It's just... I know that I'm being more open about being a monster I want to be, it just not easy to change. I have been refusing to be one for so long it just..." Danny tries to say.
Vampirella places a hand on his shoulder and smiles.
"Danny, just know we see you as a hero. No matter what people say, you will also be a hero even as a monster." She said.
"We follow you because you have shown us that even monsters can help people. The world can think what they want, we are our own people." Damn said.
Danny sighs. There was still some doubt about him being a monster but he knew the others still see him as a hero.
"Thanks, guys." He smiles.
"And we aren't exciting you to change so soon. Remember, be the monster you want to be." Leo said.
They climb up the tower and finally reach the top. They could see the clock face and look to be a bell over them. They also saw a portal form before Death appears from it.
"Ah, so you come. Tell me, did you rest enough?" Death asked.
Everyone looks at Death before Danny steps up.
"Death, I can tell that you here to stop us from reaching Dracula but I need to know. Why are you working with him? From what the others told me you had a very imported job." Danny asked him.
"Long ago, my lord came to me asking about a power that could help him define God himself. He even wanted me to help him in his quest. I heard of the man he once was and came to respect him as well as his friend, Leon Belmont." Death said.
"Belmont?!" Vampirella asked shock.
"Yes, the famous Monster Hunter Clan. Carrying the one weapon that can destroy my lord, the Vampire Killer." Death said.
Danny blinks, through all his history classes the Belmonts were never brought up once, not ever that weapon was mention.
"You six might not be Belmonts but you have shown the same courage and willpower as them. Two things that I respect about them." Death said.
"But you're not letting us through without a fight right?" Danny asked.
"You catch on quick, boy. However, your friends must sit this one out." Death said before raising his hand.
Danny covers his eyes as the bright light covers the area. When he opens them, the Clocktower had changed. It looks more demonic and there were skulls everywhere. Danny then saw Death lower to the ground and drew his scythe. Danny stood ready and was about to tell the others to be ready as well but notices they were with him.
"Huh?! Guys?!" Danny said surprise.
"As I said, they should sit this one out." Death reminds him.
"So, if I beat you, I can go back to my friends, right?" Danny said.
"Indeed. But the real question you should be asking is, how are you going to stay alive against me?" Death said before readying himself.
Danny stood ready before Death charge at him and swing his scythe at him. Danny bends backward to dodge it and then bend back up and fire an ectoblast at Death. Death was push back before Danny flew up and punch Death. Death was knockback and Danny just stare at his fist.
"Holy crap! I just punch Death in the face!" Danny shouted.
"Indeed."
Danny looks up and nearly dodges another swing before throwing another punch. Death moves back before throwing his hand out and hit Danny's chest knocking him back. Danny could felt something trying to reach his heart, but he was in his ghost form and the feeling faded. Danny then remembers something else. It was sad that if Death touches you then you will die. Danny looks up and knew he had to stay in his ghost form to be safe from Death's touch.
Danny flew back towards Death and dodges Death's Scythe before firing another ectoblast. Death raises his hand and caught the beam, surprising Danny. Death then crushes it before floating above Danny. He raises his scythe and it started to glow. He swings down, leaving an energy trail behind, and hit Danny. Danny felt the scythe enter him and it could feel it trying to grab one of his souls. The Scythe went through and Danny fell to the ground. He stood up and saw Danny holding on to a ball of light.
"So, I grab your human soul." He said.
Danny's eyes widen. Damn told him he had two soul due to being a halfa. Since both of his parents were humans, he had a ghost soul place inside him when he got his powers. Death then had the soul forms its body and Danny saw himself.
Human Danny opens his eyes and saw Ghost Danny. The two look at each other surprise.
"You might be a ghost but your defenses don't protect you from me. I watch over life and death. Now that your souls have been free from each other. You can finally be the normal person you sought for so long." Death said and raise his scythe at Ghost Danny.
He closes his eyes as Death swings. He then heard something get in his way and felt something wet hit his face. Ghost Danny opens his eyes and gasp in shock. Human Danny was standing in front of Death with the blade in his side. Human Danny coughs up blood as Death brought him closer.
"Fool! I gave you a gift to finally be free of your bearing and you choose to protect him?" Death asked him.
"Human or Ghost it doesn't matter. We are the same person. If you kill him, then you kill me as well!" Human Danny said and spit in Death's face.
Death didn't react and just sighs.
"So be it. My brother is not here to stop me this time." Death said before tossing Human Danny aside.
He slams on the wall and slid to the ground. Ghost Danny flew over to his human self and try to place pressure on the cut. Human Danny looks up at his ghost self and smiles.
"Heh, never thought I get a chance to meet you face to face." He said.
"Because we are the same person." Ghost Danny said.
"Remember, we can be the monster we want to be." Human Danny said.
Ghost Danny watches as Human Danny closes his eyes and stop breathing.
"No! No! Stay with me! Come on Fenton!" Ghost Danny said trying to keep him awake.
Ghost Danny lowers his head, this was just like how Vlad told him. His two halves spit and his human self dies. Ghost Danny stood up and look at his human self. Death just floated there before speaking.
"Life and death are the same things. His time came sooner." He said.
"Shut up..." Danny whispers.
Death looks confuse before Danny turns and face him.
"SHUT UP! You have no idea what his...OUR life is like! We going around protecting people from dangerous ghosts, trying to balance our double life, and making sure no one finds out about it! My human is important to me as my ghost half! Do you want a monster?! Because you got one!" Danny shouted before charging at Death.
Death was caught by surprise as Danny lands a punch on his cheek and was sent flying into the wall. Danny the form ectoblasts and fire at Death. Each beam explodes as Danny kept firing. His eyes started to turn red as he didn't let up.
Clockwork sighs as he watches from his lair. He told his brother that it wasn't Danny's time. He looks at the human form and sighs. Normally he'll let this go, but he has to break the rules this time. If he didn't, then the world will lose one of their greatest heroes.
"Brother, don't say I didn't warn you." Clockwork said before holding up his time staff.
"TIME IN!"
Human Danny started to glow before he gasps. He looks around and saw the cut on him heal up. He looks confused before seeing his ghost self firing at a wall. He could see a skeleton hand and knew it was Death. He looks at his ghost half and saw how it wasn't letting up. Human Danny stood up and rushes over to his Ghost Half.
"Danny! Stop!" He shouted.
His ghost self looks at him and he saw the red eyes. Human Danny knew what that meant.
"This isn't you! You're not Dan!" He shouted.
Ghost Danny stops firing before blinking. Death pulls himself out of the wall and saw the two Danny's.
"Clockwork. Should have known." He said.
"Listen to me, Danny! Remember what we promise? Remember what we said about other people saying what they want about us? We the same person. I took the blow because I have accepted you as part of me!" Human Danny told his Ghost self.
Ghost Danny looks at the ground and remembers everything. His promise, what he told the news, and that his human half had accepted his power. Death might have spit them but they were still one and the same.
"The world can see us however they want. But they don't know the real us." Ghost Danny said.
"And we can be the monster we want to be." Human Danny said.
"Yeah, we are Monster Heroes." Ghost Danny said as his eyes turn back to green.
Both Danny smiles and claps their hand together causing a bright light to shine from them both. Death looks away before the light faded. When he looks, he saw there was only one Danny Phantom but he different than before. His hair turns into flames and his eyes were now sliver. Like the Damn and Leo, he was also muscular and looks to be a bit older. Death just floated there, wondering how the two souls form back together.
"Face it Death, you can't keep me apart. Both of my halves are apart of me." Danny said his voice sounding a bit older as well.
"So you say." Death said and swings his scythe.
Death was then caught by surprise as Danny grabs the blade with his hand. Danny held on to the blade before throwing a punch. Death was hit so hard some of his teeth fell out. He slams on the wall with Danny still holding on his scythe. Danny tosses it aside and flew at Death. Once he reaches Death, he pulls him out and started to throw his punches very fast. Danny didn't give him any room to breathe. He then slows down to throw two normal punches that knock Death back. Danny's eyes glow and fire an ecto beam from them, hitting Death and causing an explosion.
Death fell to the ground with smoke coming off his body. He stood up and saw Danny take a deep breath before releasing his strongest attack, the Ghostly Wail. Not only did the attack hit Death, but also shatter the illusion they were in.
Each of the other Monster Heroes jumps in shock to see Danny and Death and Danny letting out a powerful attack that made them cover their ears. Danny then stops and waiting for Death to get up.
"Augh, You are strong. I can see why my brother favors you." Death said.
Danny just stares at Death as he picks up his scythe and leans on it. Death pushes himself up and looks at Danny.
"You pass. I won't stop you from meeting my Lord." Death said.
Danny then walks up to Death and looks at him.
"Death you got a job to do and you better get back to it," Danny told him.
"Yes, my lord time is coming again. I'll return to my duties until my master raises again." Death said before a portal appears behind him.
"Oh, and if you see my brother, tell him that he's still an old fool." Death smiles as he was sucked in.
The portal closes and Danny sighs, he turns around and faces his team.
"Hey, guys? What do you think of my Monster form?" He asked.
Vampirella and Witcha blush at the sight of Danny's muscles as Slimy could only act like she was. Leo and Damn both smirks and walks over to him.
"Way a go Danny. Looks like you are a monster now." Leo said.
"Yeah, a Monster Hero," Damn added.
Danny smiles and faces the girls. He notices how they were looking away and smirks. He might be doing something Dash would do but he wanted to see their reactions.
"Hey, girls." He said making them look at him.
Danny started to flex his muscles making Vampirella's and Witcha's faces turn red and Slimy try to cover her eyes but still peek. Danny laughs before changing back to normal.
"Sorry, I had to. The look your faces were priceless." Danny smiles.
"You jerk!" Vampirella yelled, her face still red.
"Yeah, don't play with our emotions like that!" Witcha added, her face still red as well.
"It was hot though." Slimy whispers.
The three boys could only laugh at them.
Hellfire and Vampiro waiting in the guest room talking about how they were going to get back at the ones that disgrace them. They soon saw Slimina step in the room and sat down. Hellfire notices that part of her look a little white and place it together.
"So you did." He said.
Slimina could only smile. Vlad walks in taking to catch his breath. He glares Slimina who just smiles at him. Vlad took a breath and steps up to them.
"Well?" He asked Vampiro.
"I watch everything. I also know you are the one that rewoken Dracula but unlike most, I really don't care." He said.
"And do you wish to join us?" Vlad asked.
"Of course. Plus I could a great help to your human business as well." Vampiro said.
"How so?" Vlad asked.
"I own one of the biggest companies in the world, I'm sure you hear of it. Torre de Sangre." He said.
"Blood Tower?!" Vlad said shock.
"Yes, home to the world's largest blood bank plus many more things," Vampiro said.
"Vampiro, I think you just join our team," Vlad smirks and they two shook hands.
And done! Vlad's team is growing, and Slimina had a little fun with him, and Danny unlocks his monster form. Let's see, Vlad's team has a Ghost, Vampire, Demon, and Slime. He still needs a witch, which someone already gave me on in the reviews, just still thinking on it. And a werewolf. Oh, and Vampiro is Spanish for a Male Vampire.
Always, the next chapter is the fight against Dracula. So no more bosses. From what I saw from the games after you beat the last boss you are taken to the grand staircase and towards Dracula. I'll make sure to cover why the group sense Draulca's power before the fight. Hope you ready to see the Monster Heros take on the King of Vampires!
