Chapter 44: Rage of the Supreme King
The Obelisk Force students stepped back in fear as Yuya snarled, eyes glowering at them. Coldly, he drew his card, looking at it for a minute before making his move.
"I activate Cards of Demise, but don't think you'll live long enough for me to lose my hand. Next, with the already set scale I Pendulum Summon Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Performapal Skullcrobat Joker from my extra deck, as well as Performapal Bowhopper. Next, I use my two level four monsters to build the overlay network. Rise forth, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!"
Yuto's ace monster emerged, letting out a triumphant roar along with Odd Eyes, cracking the ground and pushing back the invaders. Shay was undaunted, however, enraged by Yuya's play.
"I knew it! Yuto would never let go of his prized possession. You better tell me what you did to him, or-"
"Silence!"
Yuya dodged Shay's punch before dealing him a swift blow to the gut, forcing Shay to kneel as he glared at him.
"I'll deal with you in a minute. Next, I activate the spell card known as The Supreme King's Resonance."
"Huh? Its just like that other guy ussed, but Yuya's never used that card before."
"By paying half my life points, I can have my Dark Rebellion be treated as a monster with the same level as my Odd Eyes, level 7."

Now, I once again build the overlay network to Xyz Summon the supreme king of darkness, Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon (3000/2500)!"
A great monstrosity of a dragon descended. It appeared to be Odd Eyes, but with bits of Dark Rebellion awkwardly fused into his body, creating an unholy terror. The Obelisk Force duelists tried their best to remain fearsome, only to fail.
"So what? That's not enough to end us, and next turn we'll pulverize you."
"Wrong, this duel is over. Because I used an Xyz monster to summon him, all level 7 or lower monsters are destroyed, and you take 1000 points of damage per each."
"What?"
From the body parts covered in black armor, lightning shot out and eviscerated the mechanical hounds before electrocuting the duel soldiers.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Despite the pain, the two struggled to their feet.
"We're...still in this."
"No. Odd Eyes Rebellion Dragon can attack three times during each battle phase this turn. End their pathetic lives."
The two duel soldiers had only enough time to look up before the horror dragon rammed them, sending them flying into the field barrier before slumping to the ground in defeat.
"Uuuugh.

As the three defeated regained consciousness, their duel disks began to buzz an alarm, as a message played from their commander.
"Mission in Standard is a failure, all remaining Duel Soldiers report back to Duel Academy immediately. Repeat, mission in Standard is a failure. All remaining Soldiers report back to Duel Academy immediately."
"Ah man, this is bad!"
"We've got to get out of here!"
"You're not going anywhere!"
Before any of them could activate the escape function on their duel disks, Shay walked up, knocked them to the floor and broke their duel disks in the span of a minute. Realizing what was going to come next, the three could only widen their eyes in horror.
"Please, don't do this!"
"Have mercy!"
"No."
With the press of a button, the three disappeared in a black glow, three cards falling to the ground with their looks of sheer terror forever imprinted on them.
"Good riddance."
"uugh, what happened?"
Shay turned to see Yuya rubbing his head, his eyes back to normal.
"This isn't over! You'll pay for what you did to Yuto!"
"But I already told you, I-"
"Don't even try to weasel your way out of this! If you didn't do anything to Yuto, then where did you get his dragon?"
It was only at this point that Yuya took notice of his new monster.
"Huh? Where did he come from?"
"Enough stalling! I draw! I-"
Battle Royale finished. Action field shutting down.
Shay and Yuya looked up in confusion as the landscape around them disappeared, ending their duel then and there as Shay's duel anchor deactivated, freeing Yuya to his relief...
Only for it to be short lived as Shay ran up and threw him against a support beam, anger in his eyes.
"I'm only going to ask you this one more time. WHERE. IS. HE?"
"Shay, put him down! He's not the real threat here."
Shay turned to see Sora and Julia walking towards them, Sora glaring at them all as he was dragged along. Relucantly, Shay let Yuya go, but continued to glare at him as he caught his breath. Zuzu's eyes lit up when she saw Sora.
"Sora, you're alright! What happend, where did you go, are you okay?"
Sora just sniffed, so Julia answered for him.
"Your friend was a spy for Duel Academy, sent to make preparations for an invasion. When this weasel tried to escape, I subdued him, and now he's our prisoner."
"Spy? I thought you were I our friend, Sora."
Despite his current situation, Sora laughed loudly.
"Friend? Don't make me laugh. Why would I be friends with such low lifes as you? No, once Duel Academy builds up enough forces again, your dimension will be nothing but-"
A swift kick to the gut from Julia shut him up.
"If you all want answers, come with me. Declan will want to meet the survivors."
"I guess we don't have much of a choice."
With that, the group of five made their way to the Leo Corporation headquarters, knowing that no matter what answers Declan could provide, they weren't going to like it.
