Season 1 Episode 23: Exploration Team

Everyone always had a dream, and that is to one day form an exploration team. Why do Pokémon want to form exploration teams you may ask? We all look up to someone we admire, listening to their adventures and the treasures they have found. One of the main reasons why I believe in forming an exploration team is to bring unity. We believe in uniting with several Pokémon around the world will help us maintain safety among everyone. In addition to this, keeping our world safe from the likes of evildoers who only desires to bring chaos. If you all remembered or haven't, we never had the opportunity in forming one because we thought of this being pointless, because we have recruited several Pokémon in our organization. Fortunately, we have not been penalized for this otherwise this would be illegal, but we want to get this settled immediately. Otherwise, this would put an end to everyone's big dream.
Electrode: (Tries to keep the room quiet) Everyone, can you remain quiet for a couple of minutes please?
Claydol: (Calls out on Electrode) Why should we?!
Electrode: Claydol, it's still eight in the morning, I'm not going to fuss with you at this hour.
Claydol: I call bull on that statement of yours, Electrode.
Alakazam: What's all the commotion?
Granbull: Electrode has something important to say for all of us.
Electrode: (Ignores Claydol) Any who, we are here to finally discuss our next big plan. To begin, I just want to say how grateful we are to have the Galarians joining our band. (The Galarian Pokémon feel welcomed) Let me be honest, a lot of us are here for once reason: to form an exploration team. At first, we didn't believe this was necessary, but our numbers continue to rise. We all came from different backgrounds, some were normal beings, and several of us were hooligans or thieves. Yet, we learned from each other and respect one another. In the end, I believe it is time to form one so that we can use our organization as a symbol of peace if we want to drive the tribes out in case of another attack. We all have one goal and is to look after one another including the villagers. We want to fulfill our own set of dreams just like everyone else does. Also, (Feels embarrassed) we really need to stop lying to everyone that we are an official exploration team because this was the reason why we had screwed to leave Birthstone Peak other than how corrupt it was. This will be our main priority for today. (Everyone cheers) Any questions? (Sees a wave of hands hands) Damn, I didn't expect these many hands. Let me see, Granbull.
Granbull: (Thinks long and hard) How do we become an official exploration team Electrode?
Dusclops: Leave that to me.
Shedinja: Don't do anything suspicious Dusclops.
Dusclops: I wasn't intending on, Bisharp, Gardevoir, Banette, and I can probably register.
Bisharp: Yeah, the agency is located eight miles away from here. The three of us know a friend who we knew a long time ago works there.
Scizor: You mean, J.D?
Bisharp: Yes, it's been a long time though since we haven't seen him.
Scizor: It really has been.
Banette: I don't really think Bisharp is qualified for this.
Bisharp: And for what reason may I ask, Banette?
Banette: You do not possess the strength to surpass any of the tests.
Bisharp: I totally can.
Banette: We'll see during the exams.
Electrode: Alright then, I will leave this to you four. Good luck and update us when you are done.

Dusclops: Here's the agency.
Banette: I'll speak to the receptionist, you three waits here.
(They enter the agency)
Banette: Hello there, my friends and I want to join the Guild to form an exploration team.
Receptionist: Okay, I am going to need you to fill this out.
Banette: Sure. (Disappears for a couple of seconds) Done.
Receptionist: (Shocked at the documents being filed) Well, that was quick. Alright then, let's see if we can register you and your indicated persons and then we'll finalize everything. (Couple of seconds later) There, you are officially an exploration team. As official members, you are now eligible to take job listings that are available here in our agency, or we can have them mail to you. In addition to this, you are given a job based on your level of experience. You seem to be like someone who has gone through a lot, so here's a Rank B assignment. Finish this task and you will be able to receive your official explorer's badge.
Banette: Thank you, miss. I appreciate for everything you have done.
Receptionist: Your welcome. (Smiles) I hope you have a wonderful day.
Banette: You too miss.
Receptionist: (Speaks in her conscious) [For a Banette, he has a nice voice.]
Banette: Alright clowns, I'm finished. For us to receive our explorer's badges, we must perform a task that is given to us. (Opens the letter and turns transparent so that Bisharp doesn't snatch the letter) (Becomes visible) We're assigned to do an exploration to discover the remaining whereabouts of a town here at the… (Hesitates a little) Amp Plains.
Bisharp: This shouldn't be so hard since we have gone there several times for training, right babe?
Gardevoir: Honey, I wouldn't be sure about that. Ever since we arrived here, the place did expand.
Dusclops: Plus, Houndour and Houndoom joined the fun.
Bisharp: That, I wasn't informed about. (Looks at Banette feeling terrified) Banette, are you okay? You seemed terrified.
Banette: (Shakes his fears off) Terrified, I'm not terrified… you are!

Plusle: Spark! (Attacks Dusclops)
Banette: Shadow Claw! (Hits Plusle; Plusle faints)
Dusclops: Thanks, that was annoying.
Banette: Yeah, I am beginning to regret coming here with you guys very much.
Dusclops: How so? Is it because Gardevoir and Bisharp are making out and walking at the same time?
Banette: No, not that. (Amp Plains theme paused, and Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX Mt. Thunder Peak theme plays) As a Shuppet, I despised this place because this was the one place, I had to travel to get supplies and going back home. Worst of all, the town's population I lived in decreased over time because people were constantly getting attacked by packs of Electrike or Luxio. (Flashbacks play of when Shuppet being attacked by several Luxio and Electrike) There were no alternate routes to get pass them. Which then explains why everyone in the town were suffering from the cold winters and possibly left. I'm not sure what happened to the ones who remained fought against them both but lost their lives in the process. This job they are asking us to do, I fear that I may have a clue to what I think it is. (Unzips his mouth) Look, I know you all wanted to form an official exploration so much and hoped for so long for this dream to happen, but this place is complete hell to me. That's why I never join Klefki, Gardevoir, and Bisharp when they want to train over here.
Gardevoir: Banette, we promise that we will stand by you always. We'll find out who's behind this devastation and put an end to their schemes.
Dusclops: Do these two packs work side by side with the tribes?
Banette: No, these two would always fight against each other for territory, but I have a hunch to how we can get some answers.

Tauros: Double Edge! (Charges at Bisharp)
Dusclops: Will o Wisp follow up with Ice Punch! (Hits Tauros but notices her holding a Rollcall Orb) She has a Rollcall Orb!
Foe Tauros: Rollcall Orb activate! (Uses the orb and several Pokémon appear)
Foe Yanmega: Bug Buzz! (Bisharp blocks the attack)
Bisharp: Night Slash! (Slashes Yanmega)
Foe Ampharos: Rain Dance! (Rain falls)
Dusclops: Confuse Ray! (Lands on Houndoom)
Foe Houndoom: Snarl! (Hits everyone including its allies)
Gardevoir: Moonblast! (Hits Tauros)

Dusclops: Oh no. (Turns invisible)
Foe Ampharos: Found you! (Thunder struck at Dusclops and gets paralyzed)
Dusclops: (Paralyzed) Even when I am invisible.
Banette: Shadow Claw! (Hits Ampharos)
Gardevoir: Dazzling Gleam! (Hits all enemies)
Bisharp: These guys are annoying.

At the end of Amp Plains…
Banette: So, we're here. We just need to climb up there.
Bisharp: How far is our location, Banette?
Banette: Just a mile after the climb.
Minutes later…
Dusclops: (Climbs up to the deepest end of Amp Plains) Is this the right path Banette?
Banette: Yes, this is it. It's up ahead.
(The group reaches the destroyed aged town)
Dusclops: Huh, so we found the remains of the town.
Gardevoir: (Observes the area) Everything here has been dilapidated. (Looks at the houses that were still standing; she notices the moss that is growing in the walls) Dusclops, you might want to have a look.
Banette: (Falls on his knees expressing devastation) Oh no… I was right. The entire town has been destroyed.
Dusclops: (Looks around) These buildings look like they have aged. (Thinks) Hmm, it seems like this occurred years ago.
Bisharp: (Hears a whisper other than Banette's) Hey, did anyone else hear that?
Gardevoir: (Hears the whispers getting louder and senses someone approaching) Stay alert everyone, we're not alone.
(Luxray and several Luxio appear)
Luxray Leader: Who dares trespass my territory?
Bisharp: We are not trespassing your land Luxray, we are here to identify the remains of a town that existed here a long time ago.
Dusclops: Sir, we wish not to quarrel with you. A friend of mines wants to uncover the mystery of a town that once resided here in the deep of Amp Plains.
Luxray Leader: The town has been obliterated four years ago. These folks were nothing but a nuisance to us and deserved to be punished for settling in our domain.
Dusclops: (Looks at Banette building hatred; gets angered) So then it was you. Why did you destroy this town?
Luxray Leader: These Pokémon had settled in our domain for far too long and deserved to either run away or lose their lives from us!
Manectric Leader: (Appears) Well, well, what do we have here, Luxray decided to barge into my territory. (Looks at Banette and the crew) And, who are you four supposed to be and why do you show up here for? (Notices the destroyed town) That town has been nothing but a distraction here, so I decided to attack them as punishment for stepping on my territory! We used their homes as our own little huts!
Luxray Leader: What are you boasting about Manectric?! You have nothing to claim for! (Both stare at each other angrily ready to attack another, but a Luxio looks at Banette and the crew)
Luxio: Hold on, (Tugs the Luxray Leader) Luxray. That Banette, he is catching a familiar scent.
Manectric Leader: (Laughs) Does this Luxio have a brain or not because there are several Shuppet and Banette that exists in this world! (Notices someone tugging him from behind)
Manectric: My leader, the scent of Banette is awfully familiar.
Manectric Leader: Eh, what? You too?!
Manectric: Yessir, I recognize the scent very well.
Manectric Leader: So, you're telling me, that this Banette is identical to compared to several others?!
Manectric: Take a hard look.
Manectric Leader: (Sniffs and takes a long look and scorns) Wait, now I recognize you… you're that Shuppet, who we attacked a long time ago. Out of all the ones we have hunted down, you really are the last one.
Banette: And now I have the full story from both of you. You two fucks are going to die for hurting the ones who have… FALLEN FROM YOU BOTH! Dusclops, Gardevoir, and Bisharp, help me take them down!

Manectric Leader: (Smirks) Ahahaha! Did you really think I would be scared by you four?! You four are nothing compared to me and my horde of Manectric!
Luxray Leader: Oh, I hate saying this, but Manectric, we must settle for a temporary truce for now and eliminate these four from entering our domain in the Amp Plains.
Manectric Leader: As much as I despise you for your lack of thought, I will have to agree with you on this one. (Turns his attention to the pack) It's time we fight alongside with Luxray's pack to punish them for barging into our domain!
Luxray Leader: (Turns his attention to the pack) We must eliminate them four, otherwise there's nothing left for us to have! (Luxray's pack jumps down)
Manectric Leader: This is where you four will fall to your demise! (Manectric's pack jumps down)
(Theme ends; Super Mystery Dungeon Boss Battle: Expedition Society Fight theme plays)
(All jump down surrounding the four)
Manectric Leader: You will regret those words you said. Electric Terrain! (Electricity flows around the area boosting Electric-type attacks)
Luxray Leader: Allow me to bolster our chances, Rain Dance! (Rain falls)
Dusclops: This is not looking so good! (Thunder comes down Dusclops but barely dodges the attack) Avoid those thunder bolts from crashing towards you at all costs!
Luxio: Bite! (Goes for Gardevoir)
Gardevoir: Moonblast! (Hits Luxio and several Manectric attack Gardevoir)
Bisharp: Swords Dance and Iron Defense! (Jumps to avoid a Manectric's Flamethrower) Night Slash!
Luxray: Thunderbolt! (Shocks Bisharp) Ha, a critical hit!
Banette: Will-o-Wisp! (Gets a couple) Shadow Claw! (Goes for the Manectric Leader)
Manectric Leader: You are stupid to think you would be going after me. Wild Charge! (Slams Banette to the ground) Thunderbolt! (Zaps Banette)
Luxray: Crunch! (Hits Dusclops)
Dusclops: Ice Punch! (Hits Luxray)
Luxio: Bite! (A critical hit on Dusclops)
Luxray: Spark! (Attacks Banette)
Banette: Shadow Claw! (Hits Luxio)
Luxio: Discharge! (Attacks everyone; Bisharp gets paralyzed)
Bisharp: I… need a Cheri Berry. (Dusclops throws a Cheri Berry at Bisharp and eats it) Thanks. Night Slash! (Slashes Manectric)
Luxray: Thunder Fang! (Hits Gardevoir)
Banette: (Growing fatigue) *Pant pant* I am not falling that quick. (Reveals an Empowerment Seed)
Bisharp: That seed, (Recognizes the seed) Banette wait!
Banette: I refuse to let you live after what you have done! (Eats the Empowerment Seed) Argh! Time to Mega Evolve! (Undergoes Mega Evolution) This is where I shatter every single bone you have! Shadow Sneak! (Summons multiple Shadow Sneaks)
Gardevoir: Psychic! (Attacks a Manectric, but gets hit by Banette's Shadow Sneak) Bisharp, you must calm Banette down!
Bisharp: I'm trying babe, but he's not listening! (Sees the Manectric Leader launch a Shock Wave at Gardevoir) (Calls to Gardevoir) Behind you!
Gardevoir: Magical Leaf! (Counters the Shock Wave) I'm going to do something risky, but I need you to throw me a Reviver Seed!
Bisharp: Alright! (Smacks the Reviver Seed towards Gardevoir)
Gardevoir: Got it! Healing Wish!
Bisharp: Healing Wish?!
Gardevoir: (Everyone gets fully healed, but Gardevoir faints and revives herself) *Pant pant* Even a Reviver Seed cannot cure the fatigue.
Back at home…
Electrode: I wonder what they're doing?
Claydol: Who knows? They must have been on an expedition right now.
Electrode: Hold on, do I hear boss music, or is it just me?
Claydol: Must be you Electrode.
Back at the Amp Plains…
Manectric Leader: *Pant Pant* If this is how you call a fair fight, then so be it! (Reveals his Empowerment Seed) It's time to end things now!
Dusclops: (Attempt to snatch the Empowerment Seed from Manectric using Shadow Punch, but Manectric uses Thunder Fang to break the attack)
Manectric Leader: Heheheh. (Eats his seed and undergoes Mega Evolution)
Luxray Leader: (Watches Manectric Mega Evolve) Hey, that's not fair.
Manectric Leader: Aww, the electric mutt didn't get his wish for a Mega Evolution. That's what happen when you are the worst of our kind! Thunder! (Zaps all four)
Manectric: Eerie Impulse! (Harshly lowers Gardevoir's Sp. Attack) Shock Wave! (Zaps her)
Bisharp: My love! Slash! (Strikes Manectric but falls from a One-hit KO) Hold on, was that—?
Dusclops: You just learned Guillotine!
Bisharp: Oh, this is going to be fun. (Charges towards a group of Luxio as they all attack Bisharp) Metal Burst!
Banette: (Looks at Bisharp and slowly calms to his senses) Shadow Claw! Gardevoir, you're up next!
Gardevoir: Dazzling Gleam! (Hits everyone)
Banette: Dusclops!
Dusclops: Shadow Punch! (Hits Luxio and Manectric)
Banette: (Grabs a couple and launches them towards Bisharp) Bisharp, slice them!
Bisharp: Guillotine! (Hits everyone)
Banette: (Turns his attention to the two bosses) You two are left.
Luxray Leader: Thunder!
Banette: (Takes the hit, but continues to move towards Luxray)
Luxray Leader: What?!
Banette: Foul Play! (Gets hit and Luxray faints) (Looks at Manectric) Shadow Claw! (Strikes Manectric and falls)
Manectric Leader: I won't fall! Dis—! (Gets slammed by Dusclops' Shadow Punch)
Dusclops: It's over Manectric, you've conceded the battle.
Manectric Leader: (Reverts to his normal form) No… not just yet.
Banette: Shadow Sneak! (Hits Manectric and faints) Now you have.
(Theme ends)
Bisharp: (Eats an Oran Berry) It's over.
Gardevoir: And we ran out of items.
Manectric Leader: (Tries to get up) So you've beaten us both. (Collapses)
Bisharp: You're still up? (Everyone looks back and prepares for another attack)
Luxray Leader: (Cannot get up) We are already beaten up. (Looks at Banette) Well then, why are you just standing there, aren't you going to kill us all? Especially since we have demolished your beloved town.
Bisharp: (Banette reverts to normal and his mouth unzips and prepares for an attack) Banette. (Approaches to stop him, but Dusclops pulls him back)
Dusclops: Hold on, Bisharp.
Banette: (Takes a long look at the two) I had the intentions of doing so, but in the end, (Lower his guard) I decided no. I finally got the opportunity to form an exploration with my group of friends, even if it means coming to this dreadful place again. I think it would be honorable to spare you both after everything you have done to me. However, if you two can't settle your differences or dare to harm another bystander, I will come back and take your souls away. (Takes out extra food he had in his bag and rolls it to every member) You all need this more than I do. (Turns to Gardevoir, Bisharp, and Dusclops) Come on, let's go back. (Everyone leaves)
Luxio: A terrible mistake we have done.
Manectric: A great burden grows in every one of us. (Chew on the Oran Berry)
Back home…
After we got back, we returned to the agency and told them about the news, but I had to undisclosed the fact that it was where I once lived. We were rewarded, but most of the loot we found were sent to the agency. The receptionist told us that there was one thing left to do, and that was to come up with a team name. Funny thing though, we were all so focused on organizing an exploration team, that we never had any thought of a team name. That night, we got back home telling everyone about the news that we completed the mission, and to unveil our surprise.
Banette: While you idiots didn't have the time to think of a team name, I decided to name the team name by myself. On this day forth, our organization will be known as Team Rebirth. Rebirth will represent the choice we made to leave our past lives of wrongdoing and giving birth to a whole new path of opportunity to protect our world safe again from malice.
Claydol: You know what, I like the name. Not bad Banette.
Banette: Someone appreciates our name. Until then, go back to your normal lives. Shoo, shoo go on! (Everyone leaves)
Alakazam: (Spots Mienshao and Scrafty) Hey, you two! I have been meaning to talk to you both.
Scrafty: What's up Alakazam and Froslass?
Mienshao: Hey Froslass.
Froslass: Hello.
Alakazam: I got an update on Entei.
Mienshao: Really?!
Alakazam: Yes, however, he has not seen Ho-Oh lately.
Mienshao: Oh… I was really looking forward on going tomorrow.
Alakazam: Interestingly, I have recently found out that Froslass knows how to get there.
Froslass: I can take you both two morning if you like. There's a ferry that is planning to depart to the Alps Continent.
Sandslash: (Ariados and him overheard their conversation) Can you take us?
Scrafty: Hold up, you two as well?
Ariados: While you and Mienshao have your errand to do, we have one as well. (Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky I Saw Something Again theme plays) Around 3:30 in the morning, we both heard a strange message while tuning in the radio from someone requesting for help over there at the Autumn Shrine Garden. The messenger was somehow under attack by some strong Pokémon. Now that we are official explorers, we can use this opportunity to see who the recipient is. (Theme ends)
Leavanny: Oh, so I guess I'm not the only one who's going over there as well.
Scrafty: For the love of… how many of you are going to the Alps Continent?!
Leavanny: Sneasel and Weavile have been both ill for some time and I wanted to collect some roots that I need for their medicine. Due to their rarity, the only place that grows these roots are in the Autumn Shrine Garden.
Mienshao: So, I guess it's settled then, it's you, me, Scrafty—.
Scrafty: I'm not going.
Mienshao: (Groans) Okay, it's you, Froslass, Ariados, Sandslash, and me then.
Ariados: Why aren't you going Scrafty?
Scrafty: Someone needs to stay behind and take care of the two nuisances.
Ariados: Okay then, guess we're all going during sunrise then?
Froslass: Yes. Until then, (yawns) have a good night everyone. (Leaves)

Tribe Leader Persian: I gave you all some time to rename your tribes, now then, reveal them. For mines, I shall represent the Intellectus tribe.
Tribe Leader Pyroar: Oho, a man of culture I see. I represent the Superbia tribe. I decided to make some changes in my tribe and decided to include to replace the current grunts with Magcargo and Chandelure.
Admin Infernape: To think he wasn't kidding.
Admin Arcanine: I can relate. At least, we finally earned the title of Admin. Oh yeah, Weavile, how was prison?
Tribe Leader Weavile: Shut up. For a corrupted chief, you literally suck at your job.
Admin Corviknight: Yes, the title seems more appropriate.
Admin Arcanine: That beak of yours better be shut Corviknight.
Admin Corviknight: I wasn't tuning on any of your conversations.
Tribe Leader Metagross: For mines, I chose to represent the Ingenium tribe.
Tribe Leader Runerigus: No introduction on mines, after all, you already know what mines is.
Tribe Leader Hydreigon: I chose mines to be based on what I do best, the Exterminium tribe.
Tribe Leader Tyranitar: I chose mines to be the Murus tribe.
Tribe Leader Persian: (Feeling dumbfounded) Okay, so everyone here decided to choose their tribe name to be based on their characteristics or personality traits?
Everyone: Umm… yes?
Tribe Leader Weavile: I'm generally surprised by how you idiots didn't realize that all this time, there are seven tribes in total. Also, because I'm late to this, (grabs a marker and a paper) I represent the Sola anima mea tribe.
Tribe Leader Persian: Uhh… alright then. Runerigus, have you prepared to the Underground Continent?
Tribe Leader Runerigus: Indeed, I have. However, I may require more assistance. I request to borrow a couple of your Excadrill, Persian, if I can get things done in a swift.
Tribe Leader Persian: Very well, but they must be brought back because they are required for my plans in the future.
Tribe Leader Runerigus: (Pleads) I never leave anyone behind.
Tribe Leader Pyroar: If I may, I overheard that these fools are planning to take a trip to the Alps Continent. I'd figure this is my time to bring chaos.
Tribe Leader Persian: Where they're heading is not in our plans. Plus, we may have found an area that is best suited for you, the Volcanic Continent.
Tribe Leader Pyroar: My homeland? For what purpose does my homeland have to offer?
Tribe Leader Persian: A piece of the crystal is located there, and I need you to locate it for me. Using Weavile's latest experiment, we will plan a surprise for them. Pyroar, you may be the next candidate to Dynamax and our first tribe leader to undergo Dynamaxing.
Tribe Leader Pyroar: This sounds interesting.
Admin Copperajah: It sounds fun, but keep in mind you have limitations.
Admin Hatterene: The effects wear off for a certain amount of time. We both managed to last more than an hour or so.
Tribe Leader Pyroar: I understand the risks. I think I can begin by having my admin create a fake job that will lure them in. Now then, I must depart. (Leaves)
Tribe Leader Runerigus: Me as well, I'll see you later. (Departs)
Tribe Leader Weavile: Your plan better work, Persian.
Tribe Leader Persian: I am confident with all my plans Weavile. Your reports on the Dynamax phenomenon has raised hopes for us. You, Hydreigon, and I will go to the Tyrian Maze soon to find our next piece of the crystal. Until then, we will wait for Pyroar to finish his part.
Tribe Leader Weavile: (Notices Persian's looking down staying silent) I know I'm not open to these kinds of conversations, but are you okay? Wait, have you spoken to—?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Remember the receptionist from the agency? I found out that she developed feelings for me, in the end, I asked her out on a date, and she happily agreed.

Banette: (Groans) Hey, Klefki!
Klefki: Yeah?
Banette: Remind me to call Magcargo so that I can burn this pest, yeah?
Klefki: Alright, sure.
Bisharp: You wouldn't dare.
Banette: Oh, I will. Or better yet… (Decides to tie up Bisharp and used Ariados' silk to cover his mouth) this will do. Next time Bisharp, let the narrator finish narrating. You're a complete pain in the ass. (Turns to Ariados) Your compensation my good sir. (Rewards Ariados with money)
Ariados: Thank you, hope your date goes well and let us know how that turned out.
Banette: Thanks, but you sure that you and Sandslash want to go to the Autumn Shrine Garden with Mienshao, Froslass, and Leavanny?
Ariados: Yeah, now that we are an exploration team, we can start aiding others.
Banette: I know that, but what I'm saying is the whole case with you wanting to go. Sandslash hasn't given up looking for Swampert, yet no one hasn't seen him for quite time.
Ariados: I've had my second doubts for many things, but I want to use this time as an opportunity for all of us to improve ourselves mentally for our next upcoming.

Ariados: Yes, I was able to record it.
Banette: Send it to me, I'll check on it first thing in the morning.
Ariados: Alright, thanks though for everything.
