"Echo, once we're back to Azegda, I need you to bring out the assassins for a public display for those who defy the Commander's law." Roan ordered.
"Yes, Prince Roan." Echo replied.
"I assume we're only going to be there a day or two?" Clarke asked.
"Yes, but you insisted on coming along for justice for Madi. With Heda's presence maybe my people will take it seriously that we all want peace." Roan said.
"I count on it. The bloodshed has gone on for too long." Lexa said.
"You say that now because you have children and Klark to protect other than your people." Roan mentioned.
"Clarke can protect herself. It's Madi and Aden; we don't need this bloodshed killing to be their path. We don't want them to follow the same path we went down. They should be free-spirited." Lexa explained.
"And if you fall? What then?" Echo asked.
"I trust Clarke to guide them to keep the peace." Lexa said.
"But the Conclave? Wouldn't she lose one of them?" Roan asked.
"No, I have gotten permission to change the rules of Conclave. Since they are the last two, I know of, besides the ones I have banished. They'll serve each other." Lexa explained, looking ahead that everyone has stopped.
"The army needs rest and so do you. Yours still recovering yourself, seeing that your sword is still on your right hip and not your left. You need to train to regain the strength in your right shoulder." Roan explained, looking at her.
"I'm fine." Lexa spatted back at him.
"You say your fine but, are you really fine. When was the last time you used your sword in your right hand? We can't have you going weak. We need you to lead the thirteen clans in the peace you desire so much. Rest a little bit, and we'll train." Roan ordered.
"Are you ordering me?" Lexa glared at him.
"Take how you look at it, you must train again for the sake of our people, Klark and your children." Roan said, getting off his horse going to his tent.
"Hod in, come on, you need rest before you train with Roan." Clarke said, getting off her horse, waiting for Lexa to do the same.
Lexa looks down at her, then gives in, she gets off her horse and follows Clarke into their tent. They detach their swords from their hips and lay them on the table.
"Hey, don't take it personally. He is right, and you know that. Since you got shot, your still fierce in our people's eyes, but physically you aren't there. We need to keep it up in case something happens." Clarke said, sitting beside her taking her hand in hers.
"I know. He saw it right through me." Lexa said, looking down at their hands.
"He only has seen that because he knows what you did to make sure Aden wasn't hurt." Clarke replied, looking up at her.
"I think I'm showing too much of my weakness." Lexa sighs, looking up the tent ceiling.
"Hey, look at me. Your weakness is also your strength. Your love for us is your greatest strength. At times you may need to block it out. Like how helped Madi to block the commanders from invading her mind." Clarke told her, looking into her eyes.
Lexa's eyes search in Clarke's eyes, leans in, and kisses her. Clarke deepens the kiss then pulls away, looking at each other.
"We'll be okay. You'll be okay." Clarke said and kissed her again.
"Come on, Tavia! Keep up!" Madi said, running through the market.
Octavia is trying to catch up with Madi. She knows this was the commanders doing. She figured when the commander was whispering to the little girl before they left. Clarke's little spawn is making trouble wherever she goes. People in the market just laugh at her trying to catch up with the little girl.
"Madi! Seriously get back here!" Octavia shouted through the market.
"No! You have to catch me! Auntie Indra is the only other person who has caught up with me!" Madi shouted back at her climbing over anything in her path.
Octavia tries several times to anticipate her path. Madi has a lot of tricks up her sleeve. She must have learned that from Clarke. She's getting annoyed she can't catch this child.
"Fine, keep running. I'll be waiting in the dining hall for you." Octavia is out of breath, heaving.
"Don't give up, Okteivia. This is your test." Indra is coming around the corner with Madi in her arms.
"Test for what?" Octavia asked, looking at them.
"The Heda's are testing you how you will deal with Madi, in case something happens to them." Indra said.
"Nothing is going to happen to them. They always come back. They have to for Madi and Aden." Octavia said.
"Yeah, Auntie Indra, they always come back." Madi mentioned laying her head on Indra's shoulder.
"I know, They're just thinking ahead for you and Aden. Making sure everything is set in place." Indra said, giving her kiss on the forehead.
"So Auntie Indra, how did you become so close that one?" Octavia finally caught her breath.
"She knows I'm Heda's second, and I protected her when she being bullied the first couple of days when she was here." Indra replied.
"My mother has a thing for small children." Gaia mentioned standing behind her mother.
"Who are you?" Octavia looked behind her mentor and her hand, reaching behind her, grabbing for her sword.
"I'm the Gaia, The Flame Keeper, and Indra's daughter." Gaia said.
"You finally made it. Both Heda's aren't here right now. They went to take care of another problem at Azgeda." Indra said, turning around looking at her daughter.
"I heard. I also heard Titus was the one that tried to get assassins from Azgeda to take out the child your holding. Hoping Heda would start a war against Azgeda." Gaia stated.
"Lexa is way too smart to have a plan like that be a success. With Clake by her side, she would have asked about the flaw. That is why those two are meant for each other." Octavia mentioned.
"Your right, they are unstoppable together. When they are separated, they will raise hell to reunite. We've already seen that happened numerous times." Indra said.
"That's a fact." Octavia mentioned.
