Caught At JB's Part 3
Liam, Carole, and Lisa stopped at the door to Max's office.
Lisa was the one who knocked on Max's door.
Max came out of his office, "Yes?" he asked.
"Max, Carole, Liam, and I need a ride to JB's, would you please drive us?" Lisa requested.
"So, Lisa, are you going to use the gift card I gave to you?" Max asked.
"I wanted to use it, Max," Lisa said. "but Veronica beat me to it!"
Max was outraged.
"Veronica is not going to get away with this! Come on, I'll drive all of you to JB's!" Max said.
Liam, Lisa, and Carole could see that Max was angry.
Max gave Lisa, Carole. and Liam a ride to JB's.
At the restaurant, Veronica was about to use Lisa's gift card to pay for hers and Rafael's food.
When Max, Lisa, Liam, and Carole arrived on the scene.
"Drop the gift card, Veronica! It isn't yours!" Max scolded.
"Finders keepers losers weepers, Max, you of all people should know that." Veronica said.
That was when Rafael spoke up.
"No, Veronica! What you're doing is not even honest!" Rafael shouted, taking the gift card from her hand.
"Hey! I bought you lunch! The least you could do is let me use that gift card to pay!" Veronica said to Rafael.
"Actually, Veronica, that belongs to Lisa," Max said. "and for taking it, you are suspended from Pine Hollow for four months!"
"Four months! But Max!" Veronica protested.
"Those are my orders," Max said to Veronica. "now, return to Pine Hollow to collect your belongings!"
"Yes, Max." Veronica sighed, knowing she had been defeated.
"All right!" Lisa, Liam, and Carole shouted victoriously, high fiving each other.
