"Hold it, Levi!"

Naruto kept her expression completely blank as six other people leaped down onto the ground. Out of everyone in the group, it had been the youngest member of the group that stopped Levi from trying to attack her. Damn and here I was hoping to kill him. A sigh escaped from her lips as the blond-haired male looked at the three dead bodies surrounding them.

I'm guessing from their postures that they are the opponents that Sawada, Hibari and the others will face. Naruto eyed the males looming over them. The lack of fear alongside the way their straighten shoulders told her that they were confident. These people were stronger than the ones that she killed. Her proof? The little toddler standing right between the blond-haired boy and Levi.

That toddler stood like an adult and dressed like one, which told her that he (or was it she?) was just like Reborn.

"So you are Levi's opponent?" The blond-haired boy questioned, turning his head at her. Naruto hummed and tilted her head. Should she claim that she was indeed his opponent? It would not be lying but at the same time the blonde knew that the ring did not belong to her. No matter how much she wanted to fight them, this was not her battle to fight.

But I don't know which version of Lambo we would get if they fight. She grimaced as Tsuna flickered his eyes to her. That was the biggest problem for them. If she admitted out loud that their real opponent was a toddler then they would fight him. They would fight a toddler without any problems and Tsuna would have a problem with this. But I have to have faith in Lambo because the future self I saw is trained by me. She trusted herself to make the boy strong.

The whiskered teen took a deep breath and curled her lips into a smile.

"I'm not the actual wielder of this ring," Naruto answered, pulling the ring out of her pocket. She inspected the ring carefully, noting down the strangeness in its pattern before flickering her eyes to the ring on Levi's hand. It is also weird. The pattern seemed to fit the pattern on the ring in her hands. Now that was interesting. "I'm the appointed bodyguard and babysitter of his actual opponent."

The members of the Varia blinked, snorted and then flickered their eyes to the bodies surrounding her before landing on her bloodied arms. I bet they are curious to know why bother giving such a talented bodyguard to a guardian. Now she doubt they believed she was talented but a girl could dream, couldn't she? If it wasn't for the proposition that Iemitsu gave her then she would have made it less messy.

"Then where is my opponent?" Levi growled. His beady, greedy eyes fixated on the ring in her finger and the blonde pocketed the ring back into her pockets. Obviously not here or why would I bother to be here? She rolled her eyes and slid her hands into her pockets. "And why do you have the ring instead of my opponent?"

Let me remind him of what he did. She rolled her eyes and snatched the head from Yamamoto's hand. With a blank expression decorating her face, the blonde held the corpse's head behind her back and flung it straight at him. The head smashed straight to the man's stomach, sending him flying straight to the trees.

"I hope that knocks some sense into you because the answer should be obvious to even an idiot," Naruto drawled. The blond-haired teen laughed while the silver-haired man looked down at her with irritated eyes. What? She was only stating the truth. Did he think she was doing this for fun? She was getting funding for her organization for doing this job. "What part of babysitting, don't you fucking understand? Or being a bodyguard?"

Babysitting should imply that his opponent is a young kid and that a bodyguard means that he is not capable of taking care of himself. She pinched her nose and exhaled. Even Ino would have figured out this much and the girl was as vain as you could possibly find. Hell Kiba would have understood and the boy had never been known for his brains.

Tsuna tugged her sleeve and the blonde twisted her head to look at him. His brown eyes pleaded with her and while she did not make a habit of spending time with him, she understood what he wanted. I can't help but antagonize them if he asks me fucking stupid questions. She pulled her hand away from him and looked at Levi, who struggled to stand up.

"Levi is an idiot," the blond-haired male commented. Even though his bangs covered his eyes, the whiskered girl could practically feel his eyes being fixated on her and the corpses surrounding them. His own fellow guardians have the same thoughts as me. She snorted. Now that was sad when she thought about it. The male laughed. "His opponent is a weak child so CEDEF hired someone that they thought could stand against Levi."

Oh? You don't think I can handle him? Her eyebrows twitched and Naruto inhaled. Why should she care about what they think? She knew her own strength. Jiraiya was her mentor and the man could take these people down in a couple of seconds. For them to underestimate her was going to be their undoing if you asked her.

But if they underestimate me then they are going to be underestimating Tsuna and the others. She darted her eyes at the four teens surrounding her and closed her eyes. Underestimation could get a person killed. Mizuki underestimated her in their battle. He believed because she had never been capable of doing the ordinary Bunshin that she had been weak.

They could turn this around.

"You are right," Naruto answered. Tsuna blinked and swirled his head at her. His brown eyes widened, looking at her like she was insane for admitting that the Lightning Guardian was a toddler. I'm going to make them underestimate Lambo because if the future Lambo comes…and he is the version that comes from a future where he trained under me then we are fine. She exhaled. "His opponent is a 5-year-old."

Those beady eyes flared with irritation and Naruto curled her lips into a wide smile. You know if you were smart, you would be pleased that you have to fight a toddler. She knew she would be pleased. Less work to be done against a child but it could wound a person's pride. After all if child wield the ring then it meant they didn't take him seriously.

But Iemitsu claims that Lambo has huge potential and I saw a little bit of that potential when I train him. She looked back to Tsuna and her classmate closed his eyes. The quick intake of his breath alongside the tremble in his shoulder told her that the boy was not happy. But if he blamed her for not convincing his father to pick someone else then she would simply tell him that it was not her business.

It was not like she would say no when the man made an offer that she could not refuse.

"Voi!" Naruto winced and covered her ears as a loud scream pierced through the area. Do people not know the meaning of sensitive ears? She curled her lips into a scowl and narrowed her eyes at the irritated long-haired man standing over them. "I don't give a shit about you tricking Levi but tell me which one of you trash wields the ring of rain!"

He wields a sword. The blonde inspected the loud white-haired man, blue eyes drifting from his furious, bloodthirsty eyes to the sword attached to his arm. Kenjutsu was not her specialty so she could not help the person who wields the rain ring. But Haku might know how to hold one since his former teacher wielded one. She shook her head and darted her eyes to Yamamoto.

The bamboo sword on his back told her that he wielded one. But is six days enough for him to learn? She grimaced and eyed the bloodthirsty man in front of her. It was probably enough for him to learn the basics but he would need to put it in practice. Naruto thinned her lips and looked down at her hands.

She better confirmed with Haku if he had some basics on kenjutsu before she planned anything.

"Me," Yamamoto declared. The brown-eyed teen took a step forward and locked eyes with his opponent. No smile decorated his lips and those brown eyes sharpened, looking at the male with a fury that Naruto knew all too well from her own experience with her battle with Sasuke. So he is the guy that he lost too. Well that meant the boy could have a second chance against him.

But that guy has more experience than Yamamoto and that will be a factor against him. The whiskered teen stroke her chin and darted her eyes between them. It was a long shot but maybe the teen could stimulate a match with swords. Haku had been trained by a member of the Seven Shinobi Swordsmen of the Mist as he told her once and that must mean something.

There was no way that his master would not teach Haku on how to wield a sword.

"Out of the way" A voice ordered. Naruto jerked her head away from Yamamoto and focused her eyes back on the Varia squad. She watched as a scarred man pushed the silver-haired man away and dimly she could hear Reborn making a comment about something. She should pay attention but her eyes were fixated on those red eyes.

I'm guessing he is Xanxus? She kept her expression completely blank as those red eyes flickered to the corpses surrounding her before landing on her bloodied hands. Hatred and anger colored his eyes despite the lack of scowl on his lips. This man was a ticking timebomb. This man was not someone ruled by his anger.

The fact that he did not visibly expressed his anger told her this. This guy will have no problem killing Tsuna and his allies in cold blood. The knowledge made her grimace and she darted her eyes to the four boys. All four of them trembled and the blonde rolled her eyes. Honestly, they could not handle a little bit of bloodlust? They should see the way the villagers directed it to her.

Now that had been terrifying as a child.

"You are the bitch that took care of the trash," Xanxus commented. His red eyes fixated on the corpse head sitting right in front of Levi's head before flicking his eyes back at her. Naruto nodded. Trash? Oh so he doesn't consider his own subordinates as human…but tools. She exhaled and pushed down the bubbles of irritation that threatened to consume her. "Fucking trash couldn't kill a simple middle-schooler."

Simple? I will have you know that I have been training to be a kunoichi since I was six. The words were on the tip of her tongue, ready for her to lash out but she swallowed it down. This guy was not her opponent. It would be better for everyone that she pushed down the volcano of emotions brewing inside of her.

Her pride did not matter at this point because one wrong word, and maybe they would not underestimate Tsuna or his friends. One wrong word and the whole thing might blow up. I might have CEDEF backing but it will be useless if I show I can't control my temper. The support of her organization relied on her controlling her mouth.

If it was not for her desire to make her dream a reality then she would punch him for that comment.

"They were trash," Naruto commented. She kicked the dead body in front of her, ignoring the look of rage from Levi and focused her attention on Xanxus. From behind her, a pair of eyes glared intensely at her and the blonde knew that the boys did not want her to pick a fight. She rolled her eyes. "I mean these were assassins? I thought assassins were supposed to be quiet? These guys were fucking loud!"

She flashed an innocent smile and those red eyes gleamed with amusement as a laugh escaped from his lips. The members of the Varia blinked and gawked before swirling their heads at her. I'm guessing it is rare for him to laugh? Well that should be on them. They should be making him laugh and all that stuff. Honestly what was the point of having subordinates if you can't have fun?

"They weren't Varia quality," Xanxus declared, fixating his eyes on Levi. Oh? So they have standards and the fact that I killed them so quickly makes him believe that they had been weak. Now that was something to be considered. The man did not seem to think that the possibility had been that they targeted someone way stronger than their actual level.

She could probably take all of them down. With her use of chakra alongside her training with Jiraiya, fighting them would be a piece of cake for her. But sadly this isn't really my fight and it will send the wrong message if I fight Sawada's battles for him. It was rather unfortunate that she could not simply take his place but Tsuna had to prove himself.

All of the guardians had to prove themselves.

"Even though they were trash and you are funny, I will have to kill you first for insulting the Varia earlier and then kill Sawada Tsunayoshi," Xanxus commented. His red eyes glowed with rage and his hand glowed a bright orange colour. The blonde thinned her lips and knelt down, fingers glowing with chakra. Jiraiya says it is only a theory but I'm testing it now. Her eyes darted to the Varia members, who gulped and had their eyes fixated on the glowing hand.

Whack.

"That's enough, Xanxus!"

Well it seemed like she was not going to be testing the theory of whether she could make seals without a piece of paper and ink anytime soon.

Dad is here.

Tsuna blinked and jerked his head at the sight of his father glaring at Xanxus. When did his father get here? And what was his whole connection with the whole thing? He guessed it had to do with the whole CEDEF thing that blond-haired boy mentioned. No, it had to be it. Naruto never denied that CEDEF hired her and his father mentioned that he hired her. God, this whole thing was making his head spin.

His brown eyes darted to Naruto and a small frown played on his lips when he saw the trembles on her shoulders. Had she been terrified of fighting Xanxus like he had? No. She isn't like us and she proved her point with those scary corpses. He inhaled and knitted his eyebrows when the faint yellow glow on her fingertips faded.

"I will take charge from here," his father declared. His voice boomed throughout the streets, forcing everyone to look directly at him. Tsuna knitted his eyebrows. What did he mean by taking charge? A frown played on his lips and the brown-eyed boy fixated his attention on Naruto. The whiskered teen sighed, pushed herself up from the kneeling position and locked eyes on his father.

His father nodded at Naruto before flickering his eyes at the three corpses that surrounded her. Surprise lit up in his father's eyes and Tsuna clenched his jaws. Why did he put the girl in charge of Lambo if he wasn't certain that she could protect him? He inhaled and exhaled several times to look at Naruto, only to frown at her blank expression.

Wasn't she furious with his father for doubting her?

"You know it would have been nice if you came earlier," Naruto stated. The blond-haired teen dropped the smile playing on her lips as his father locked eyes on her bloodied arms and the blood decorating her chin. "Probably would have stopped the whole peacocking thing that the Varia is trying to do now."

Tsuna raised a single eyebrow while a few members of the whole Varia gawked at her. Does she not realize the whole situation we are in? This isn't the time to be making a joke. He could already feel Xanxus glaring at the blonde while Squalo looked at Naruto like he wanted to slice her in half. Did she not realize they were going to be the ones fighting them?

Iemitsu nodded and flickered his eyes from the bloodied clothes on Naruto before landing on him. Tsuna stared back at his father, uncertain of what the man was going to do now. Was he going to stop the whole thing? It would be nice if that was the case. But he had the feeling that not everything was what it seemed. He exhaled.

"What are you doing here?" Squalo snarled. The man waved his sword at his father and the blond-haired man only narrowed his eyes at him, not amused by his actions. Dad is really not terrified of him. This had to be the evidence that the man was involved with the whole thing. An ordinary person would flinch at the sight.

Tsuna took in several deep breaths, ignoring the concern eyes of Reborn, and locked eyes on his father. The man kept flickering his eyes between Naruto and him as if he was debating about something. If he suggests that Uzumaki takes up Lambo's spot…I doubt she will do it. He knew his classmate. She was definitely not willing to get involved with this.

The only reason Naruto was involved was probably because his father made a deal with her. He had to make a deal because why would Naruto take the role of bodyguard so easily? Why had she been so compliant with everything? He frowned. The girl had not been pleased at all when Xanxus implied she was weak but Naruto kept her temper.

He knew his classmate hated when someone called her a weak.

"I came here to inform you of the Ninth decision," Iemitsu declared. His father pulled out two rolled up papers from his pocket, handing one to Basil before handing the second paper to Xanxus. With a deep breath, the brown-haired teen took the paper from Basil and then glanced at Naruto. For some reason, something told him to watch out for Naruto.

Blue eyes locked onto his father, looking so expressionless that Tsuna would say a puppet had more expressions. She is thinking of something, isn't she? He did not know how he knew it but his gut told him this. The whiskered teen thinned her lips and locked eyes on the paper in his hands. Her eyes kept flickering between the paper and Xanxus before landing on his father.

Her lips thinned even more and Tsuna had the strangest idea that maybe Naruto did not believe in his father.

Shaking his head, the brown-haired teen unrolled the paper and jerked his head back at the sight of a flame illuminating a piece of paper. He knitted his eyebrows together. Why is there a Dying Will Flame? He curled his lips into a frown as Naruto flickered her eyes between the two pieces of paper. Curiosity shone through her eyes.

"That is the Ninth stamp of the Dying Will Flame," the toddler announced. "There is no mistake about it…this is a real order."

Tsuna darted his eyes down at the letter in his hand, only to frown at the lack of characters on the piece of paper. Why must the Ninth always write in Italian? I don't understand anything. He hung his shoulders and showed the letter when Naruto raised her eyebrow at him. The blonde frowned and scratched her head, looking absolutely baffled at the sight of the letters.

Well it was reassuring to know that Naruto did not know Italian as well.

"I can't read Italian," Tsuna called out to his father. But if you are apart of the whole damn thing then why haven't you taught me Italian? If I'm right then why did you thrust me into this? He inhaled and exhaled. The words were ready to spill but he didn't want to make a scene right in front of the Varia.

Iemitsu nodded and curled his lips into a frown. Was he unhappy that he didn't know how to read Italian? Because that was all on him and Reborn. How on Earth did they expect him to be a Mafia Boss if he can't speak Italian? Okay. He should have asked for the lessons but it had been nice to just hang out with friends after what happened in Kokuyo Land.

Reborn shook his head and took the letter from his hand.

"Until now, I thought that the one worthy to become the heir was Iemitsu's son," Reborn read. His black eyes did not look away from the letter and his lips was curled into a frown. "And so I was compelled to make him the heir. However I'm nearing the end of my life and only now my intuitions have sharpened and I've decided to pick a more worthy heir: my son, Xanxus."

But if he had a son the whole time then why did he put me up to this? Tsuna frowned and stitched his eyebrows together as the message echoed in his ear. If he had the son the whole time then why didn't he pick him? You have to prove you are worthy first. Naruto's words echoed in his ears and the brown-haired teen locked eyes on the blonde.

Her eyes lacked surprise and her lips did not smile. There was not even a frown and Tsuna wondered what was going through her mind. The lack of emotions told him that she knew about Xanxus. Then again she seems to know everything. Did it hurt to know she knew about it and not tell him? Maybe.

But then again he didn't ask her and so Naruto had no reason to tell him. If a person never asked her then she would not give him the information. There was also the fact that he spent the last six days training and never had the time to chat with her. But I need to talk to her. He exhaled. If she knew about Xanxus then she probably knew more than she was letting on.

"But there will be people who aren't satisfied with the change," Reborn continued. His black eyes darted to Iemitsu before landing back onto the letter. "Iemitsu refuses the offer of giving Xanxus the rings and I don't intent on having a useless battle between my own family members. So we will settle everything through the traditional Vongola Battle to satisfy everyone. This means that those who wield the same type of ring will fight in a one-on-one battle."

Tsuna grimaced and darted his eyes at the letter in Reborn's hands before looking at his father. Why did his father refuse to give the rings to Xanxus? He was the Ninth's son! He had more experience then them! Tsuna gulped and tried to take several deep breaths to calm down his racing heart. The man should have given them the rings.

He knew he should ask his father but there was only one person who could make sense of things for him. Naruto could help make sense of things. His brown eyes landed on Naruto and he tapped her shoulders. If anyone could help him understand why the Ninth was doing this then it could be her. The girl probably knew how to explain things to him without giving him false hope.

Blue eyes met his own brown eyes.

"Naruto, we need to talk after this…I need your advice."

The whiskered teen nodded.

"You will have to pay the consultation fee."

If it meant that he had the answers and advise that he needed then he would pay her whatever price that she wanted.

"What do you want to know, Sawada?"

Naruto sat down on her chair as she twisted her hair around the towel. After the whole thing with the Cervello organization, only now was she able to wash herself off of the blood. God, did she hate having so much blood on her. It was pointless too since those assholes don't think I'm strong. She rolled her eyes and flickered her eyes to the window.

Well she would prove them wrong as soon as her clone finished trailing after them. Not a single one of them was going to notice the fact that the owl flying above them was a clone. Those arrogant asses underestimate me. Did they think she was going to believe everything coming out from that letter? Paranoia was her middle name for a reason.

Okay, she did have her doubts about the whole thing but Naruto would rather rule out the likely reason, then to simply believe a note that could have been forged for all she knew.

"Do you have any idea why the Ninth changed his mind?" Tsuna asked. The whiskered girl looked away from the table and locked eyes with the frowning boy across her. His brown eyes flashed with confusion. I thought he would be happy to know. Maybe he did want the job but was too terrified of admitting that he wanted it. Now that would be interesting. "If he had a son then why pick me?"

That was what I've been wondering the whole time. Naruto looked down at the table before flickering her eyes to Reborn. The hitman had been quiet during their walk to her apartment. If she did not know any better, she would say he was in shock. But nothing really seem to shock the tutor so maybe he was suspicious.

She knew she certainly was suspicious over what made the man decide on Xanxus. He is the kind of leader that the Third would have never picked. The blonde closed her eyes and exhaled. The Hokage always talked about how the village was his family and so Naruto simply presumed the same went for the Mafia.

But what kind of family treated their subordinates like they were anything but human?

"I wondered too so I asked Shikamaru about it," Naruto answered. Tsuna jerked his head at her, brown eyes widening to the point that it resembled tennis balls and the blonde rolled her eyes. He was going to find out eventually that Team Ten knew about it. If she got evidence then she couldn't take all the credit for herself. "Don't look so surprise. I couldn't think of an answer so I ask him."

Tsuna darted his eyes around while Reborn looked at her like she was a fool for telling Shikamaru. C'mon I am smart but I'm not that smart. If her IQ was around a 100 then Shikamaru would be like 185. Knowing this made it reasonable for her to ask him. Just because he broke her trust and treated her like crap as children, did not mean she could not take advantage of his brain.

"Why would you ask him? Why would you even tell him?" Tsuna demanded. He jumped from his seat and slammed both hands on the table, brown eyes blazing with rage. Naruto thinned her lips and folded her arms against her chest. "You shouldn't involve our classmates in this kind of business."

Reborn looked at her for a good couple of seconds, black eyes inspecting her like he was trying to figure out her motive. Unfortunately, it was a simple motive. She exhaled and placed her feet on the table before leaning back on her chair. Her eyes darted to the ceiling before looking back at the two males before her.

"Shikamaru, Choji and Ino listened in on me while I was talking with Haku about the whole thing," she explained slowly. Brown eyes widened at her words while Reborn eyed her like she did it on purpose. She did not but they did not need to know that. As long as it helped them then the situation didn't really matter. "Now out of everyone I know, Shikamaru is the smartest guy I know. He is someone that is great at strategies."

He is constantly thinking of plans and he knows his way out of a loophole. Naruto sighed and locked eyes on the two males. Tsuna looked taken back at this knowledge or maybe he was surprised that she gave a compliment to someone. It did take a lot to make her compliment someone but Shikamaru had always been her strategist in their time in the Academy.

The way the boy saw the world was different from how she saw the world. While she had been looking for trouble in school and longing for an action-packed life, Shikamaru wanted a chaos-free life.

"What did Shikamaru tell you?" Reborn asked. His black eyes regarded her with no emotions and the blonde hummed. Was he really going to listen to what the chunnin had told her? She thought he would disregard what she had to say. But then again, the hitman was not like most of the adults in her life.

He had faith in a student that everyone called Dame and picked people that no one would really pick. I guess he is willing to take a leap of faith with what I have to say. The thought was oddly enough to make her relax her shoulders. Maybe it was because she was starting to get used to hanging out with other people thing.

"He says that there is a simple possibility that Xanxus proved himself to his father," Naruto answered. But even though that is what the letter implies, my gut is telling me that it isn't the case. She curled her lips into a frown and exhaled. "But both Shikamaru and me see that move as being too flaky for a boss to do."

Tsuna nodded while Reborn regarded her with thoughtful eyes. He also thinks that it is a possibility but the problem is that letter. From what that short member of the Varia claimed, the flame was only used by the Ninth and no one else. Now was it possible that Xanxus forced his father to do this? Definitely. The man did not have the eyes of someone like Tsuna.

His eyes hungered for power and everything about the man screamed rage. He is ruthless enough to target children, making his father put a stamp and saying those words is not within the realm of possibility. But as much as she wanted to accuse him while the letter was read out, she could not do it. Without a single shred of proof, it would be easy for him to accuse her of not having faith in the Ninth or on Tsuna.

It was a delicate position that she was in.

"You have another theory, don't you?" Tsuna asked. His brown eyes locked onto her, looking at her like he knew that she had another theory. His observation skills are either getting better or he knows me better now. It could be both. They had been through a lot during these last couple of months even if she did not spend a lot of time with him.

I should tell him of the theory that Xanxus is acting alone and hurt his father to make that letter. Naruto thinned her lips and darted her eyes to one of the books in the corner. If she told him then he would get distracted. He would worry because that was the kind of boy Tsuna was. He was one those goody-two shoes type and right now she was not going to let him get sick to his stomach.

The battle was going to start tomorrow night and Naruto needed him to be in the best mental state while training.

"I do but I can't confirm it," she admitted. Brown eyes narrowed while Reborn tilted his hat at her. His black eyes demanded for her to tell him but the blonde shook her head. I doubt he will be happy that I'm accusing Xanxus with fraud without proof. She knew she wouldn't be happy if she was in his shoes. "Until I can get some proof of my theory, I won't tell you about it. The theory…conflicts with the letter."

That was going to be the only hint that she was going to give those two. But I know Reborn is going to grill me soon about my theory. His black eyes practically screamed at her to tell him. Okay, maybe she was being a little bit dramatic. But those black eyes shone with a greater intensity than usual so it did tell her that he was not pleased with the events.

"Uzumaki, why are you working with my father?" Tsuna asked. The blonde tore her eyes away from Reborn and fixated her attention on the younger boy sitting across her. His brown eyes flashed with confusion and suspicion, earning a sigh from the blonde. Of course he was curious to know about the whole thing with his father. "When did you start working with him? And what does my Dad do?"

Dear god, I'm acting like the mediator between father and son! She curled her lips into a frown and tilted her head upwards. Did she not advise the man to talk to his son? Or was he too concern about his son's state of mind to even think about telling him? Either way, she did not sign up for this. Her role was simply to babysit and act as a protector for Lambo.

Her job was definitely not acting like the bridge between father and son.

"I started working with him when he came to Japan," Naruto answered slowly. She placed her feet back onto the ground and locked eyes with Tsuna. "He offered me a position in CEDEF in exchange with protecting Lambo and I told him that if he wanted to pay me, he will simply support my future spy organization. Now as for what your Dad does, my basic understanding is that he is like the second-in-command."

If you want more answers then start talking to your father and just act like the boss that you are going to become. Naruto hoped her eyes conveyed those words because she had no desire to fix his Daddy issues. She had her own issues too. Issues that she might need to conquer soon because it was starting to affect her own work.

Honestly what the hell had she been thinking when she gave parenting advise to a grown man? Her family issues had gotten so bad that she was projecting it onto people that she did not know. Maybe I should give that therapy thing a go. She shook her head. Nope. The idea of talking to a stranger about her problems made her shudder.

"I have no chance of winning against Xanxus," Tsuna muttered. His tone was low and soft as if he was contemplating it to himself and maybe he was. The boy was under a lot of shock. He just learnt that his opponent was the Ninth's son and that the group was filled with assassins. That would make anyone talk to themselves.

She shook her head and slapped both palms of her hand on the table. Tsuna jerked his head up as the table split in half. I don't like doing this but he needs this. Naruto inhaled and exhaled. While everyone else would probably accept his panic and depressed mood, she was not going to accept it. It was unacceptable.

"Talk like that and you will lose," Naruto informed him. Brown eyes widened and the blonde narrowed her eyes at him as Reborn watched her with amused black eyes. I'm not acting kind or giving a pep talk because I feel like it. She exhaled. "Your father picked you for a reason. Iemitsu could simply agree to Xanxus desires but he did not and you know why? Because he has faith that you can win this."

Brown eyes widened at those words.

"Uzumaki…"

She was still going to give him a healthy dose of a reality.

"Also if you lose, everyone you love will die because Xanxus doesn't see the world like you do. If he wants to secure his claim as heir then he is going to execute you, your father and your guardians."

I need you to win because I don't want to unleash the Kyuubi on an innocent town just because you got Hibari and Lambo killed.

That was the reason for her prep talk and nothing else.

A/N: So Naruto and Tsuna had a talk. Here are the next couple of questions.

Question 1: What do you think of the relationship between Tsuna and Naruto?

Question 2: What do you think of the character development of Naruto?

Question 3: What do you think of Naruto's interaction with the Varia?

Please do tell me of your thoughts on this chapter.
