Author Notes: I'm both recapping the previous events and explaining the flaws in the logic of the Quincy's ideology as it stand now.
As Yhwach and Mechayemet are God stand ins, their starting techniques are passed upon the Seven Days of Creation with their variations.
As for their powers, Yhwach is all about offensive oppression while Mechayemet is about subtle submission from humility- their eye powers- (the latter's design based partially on the Rinnegan) also provide this foil motif.
Chapter 37: ß- the Final Letter- A3
"Continue...and let's see if what you know from your incarnation's knowledge from that time period matches up with reality.," Mechayemit spoke, which Yhwach complied.
"Grin Jaeger was one of the odd Quincy who asked for the Soul Reapers' aid to find coexistence. He suggested that rather than learning a corrupt art from an immoral member of the Soul Society trying to undermine the Quincy or that they made a deal with the devil to get their powers, that my faction focused too much on the Zerstörung (Destruction) aspect of the Quincy abilities while his faction focused too much on the Schaffung (Creation). That both needed to be reunited under the original traditions of the Erhaltung (Preservation), which has aspect of both...he wanted to plead to the Soul Emperor to spare his kind and offer coexistence with the Soul Society.," Yhwach spoke, recalling Kazui's' journey to the past of 210 years ago.
"He came to the Soul Emperor's palace along with the East Branch. It was all a ploy to assassinate the Soul Emperor and the other leaders and take the throne for himself. Thus, justifying the first wave of the war of 210 years ago that saw an even greater extermination of the Quincy.," he added, which caused Kazui's eyes to widen.
Kazui felt nauseous hearing this, knowing that this was propaganda to hide the unjustified attack on the more benevolent Quincy that didn't even want war to occur.
"Years later after a truce was formed from the remaining Quincy to at least tolerate the few that remained outside of my forces to be allies against the Hollows. However, embittered by the recent war, the Soul Reapers refused to participate in aiding the Quincy that did ask for help, opting instead to allocate their limited resources to reacting to the most dangerous Hollows and current Hollow attacks. This caused great enmity towards Soul Reapers. Uryū Ishida's grandfather, Sōken Ishida, one of the followers of Gin's beliefs, was the last advocate of this plan, but was slain by a group of Hollows before the Shinigami could arrive. The remaining survivors aside from Ryūken's clan gave up and joined my crusade.," he concluded, not wanting to talk more.
"So why did you do all of this?," the monocle wearing Quincy asked.
"Soul Reapers govern the souls between the Human World and Soul Society, which maintains a balance that if not kept would result in the mutual destruction of both worlds while the other branches maintain the separation between the Human World and Mythical Worlds; the borders of life and death; and separation of intruding invaders from outside the balance that could destroy the worlds through their presence. All souls, including Hollows, are subject to the Soul Reapers' governance of maintaining the balance. Quincy completely extinguish Hollows, thus the souls that come to the Human World do not return to Soul Society and therefore the souls would increase only on the side of the Human World. As a result, the Human World becomes heavy in souls, causing Soul Society to spill over into it, mixing life and death together. The end result would be chaos and the end of the world...," Yhwach explained.
"Is that what you want...Or is that what he told you to do?," asked Mechayemit, which made Yhwach irritated.
"The worlds are meant to be one; life and death are meant to be one. When the worlds combine, the result would actually be a world free from the "fear of death" and I don't have to return to being in a world of darkness. Such a world was my ultimate goal for myself and everyone. I and the Quincy aligned with me cannot tolerate the Soul Kings' current state as the lynchpin that keeps the worlds stable and separate. By destroying them, the worlds could collapse into one...," Yhwach explained, as if trying to justify his extreme beliefs.
"Why hate the Hollows?," Mechayemit asked again.
"While we are trained to confront Hollows in order to defeat them just as Soul Reapers do, the biggest difference between the Quincy and Shinigami, since ancient times, is whether or not to kill Hollows. The Soul Reapers purify Hollows with their Zanpakuto and send them to Soul Society, while the Quincy killed the Hollows entirely. For idealistic Quincy, it's for revenge than order...as they say... "Hollows devour souls of Humans, so why must it be that those who harm and kill friends and relatives get sent peacefully to Soul Society?," Yhwach replied, with a scoff.
"However, it's not just for ideological differences because aside from certain individuals, Hollows and Arrancar have no base beliefs or religions aside from their own desires, but Barragan and the Dio Hueco before him were the exceptions that they all subconsciously worshipped on some level. Why maintain such a grudge...because they are hostile to our pure existence...we have no anti-bodies except for few exceptions, thus the Hollows are poisonous to us. If infected, our Spiritual Powers weaken and our souls are destroyed- dying forever- not even Hollowification like Soul Reapers. We exterminate them to save ourselves and they wouldn't exist in that world I envisioned.," he added, slightly annoyed
"Hahahaha!," Anomias laughed, much to Yhwach's confusion.
That's not how it works...The Law of Conservation of Energy, states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed; energy can only be transferred or changed from one form to another. You don't destroy energy- at best, you shift it to a space where energy doesn't matter.," the horned Quincy spoke.
"More of your heresy...," Yhwach muttered with contempt.
"The truth is...whenever a Soul Reapers or Quincy dies by a Hollow or if a Hollow kills a Hollow, they're ultimately redirected into the Dio Hueco in the end and when a Quincy or Soul Reaper kills a Hollow, a Soul Reaper kills a Soul Reaper/Quincy, a Quincy kills a Quincy/Soul Reaper, or when Full-Bringer/Etc is killed/kills a Soul Reaper/Quincy- all their Souls are redirected into Abeseimei. That's their deal they made to control the Soul Society...they attempted to use you or if that failed, Aizen or Kūgo to change the world to become immortal at the expense of others. That's the purpose of the current Zanpakuto and the current Quincy techniques.," he explained, which caused Kazui feel an even greater rage towards the Soul Emperor.
"And I suspect that...rather than reject the Hollows to achieve enlightenment...we're all meant to unite with humans, the infernal, the beasts, the ashura and the Preta to achieve true progression.," he added.
Yhwach took a sigh and looked up with an expression of forlorn despair.
"Evenn if it was true...It doth not matter now...it's over for the Quincy...My father wanted to leave world in chaos at the hands of the Soul Reapers and the Hollows...and he'll get what he wants...as we vanish to nothing...," the mustached Quincy Emperor snapped.
"Do this and the Soul Reapers...all life will be destroyed by the Dio Hueco and the Demiurge demon hiding in the skin of a God...the one who never loved you...and your entire family...no, you don't have a choice...I'll drag you into servitude even if it means your humiliation.," Mechayemit said.
"You are the König der Dunkelheit (King of Darkness) to my König des Lichts (King of Light)...you were my shadow and when you disagreed with me too much, I took Jugram as my other half to compensate...Are you arguing with me again after all these years...?," Yhwach asked harshly.
"Soft-spoken, empathetic, and admiring of our brother, Abe no Seimei...Abe no Meka...you had a large brother complex for him when you were a child. You were more emotional than me, not holding back when displaying upset tears of worry or cries of joy when the time arose... having very playful side, despite being one of the responsible ones in the family...being childlike and gullible...you've become more reserved and less like our other elder brother, Abe no Ashiya...or rather Ashiyama as he calls himself now.," he added, cruelty.
"You're quieter now with hints of madness... you used to be a more authoritative, aloof, tough and out-spoken person before the disease struck you suddenly, resolving never to cry or burden the family...you were the more hardened and least emotional between the two of us, you wouldn't have been affected by most events that would bring myself to tears. You used to be sensible and not believe in spirits unless it was for a scam money from mortals...when you were dying you finally wanted to believe in something more than your logic and asked for salvation and believed yourself to be God due to the gifts he gave you...in exchange for repressing your true self. You've become quite gullible.," Mechayemit answered coldly.
Kazui then imagined Yhwach and Mechayemit looking like Karin and Yuzu as children...and then Karin and Yuzu looking more like Yhwach and Mechayemit except as old women.
Needless to say, the image disturbed him.
Yhwach's eyes twitched in fury.
Yhwach then used the Shadow technique, placing his right hand on the ground and swiftly swing the arm outward to make his shadow to resemble a large Quincy cross as he went inside.
Several black Quincy crosses manifested across the upper parts of the space, Mechayemit took a calm breath in response.
"I apologize, brethren. I didn't mean to anger him so much that he'd prefer to blitz through shadows to strike at high speeds. I only wanted him to see reason..., but I have to make this quick...," he said calmly.
"Gottes erster Tag (God's First Day).," Mechayemit declared as he emitted a blinding light that dissolved the shadows, revealing Yhwach.
"I like battles that don't have predictable outcomes...," the monocle wearing man said as he dimmed.
Yhwach then generated darkness from his being, generating a black barrier dome around Mechayemit.
"Vierzig Nächte Reinigung (Forty Nights of Cleansing).," Yhwach declared as he clenched his fist as the barrier began to shrink.
A rainbow then shot out of the black dome, with Mechayemit sliding down it.
"Vierzig Tage Regenbogen des Bundes (Forty Day Rainbow of Covenant).," Mechayemit said.
Yhwach then summoned from his shadow, small, cyclopian child sized humanoids that were made of a black substance.
"Kinder Gottes (Children of God).," said Yhwach as he pointed towards Mechayemit, causing the "children" to rush towards the white robed monk Quincy.
"Gottes Tränen (God's Tears).," said the monocle wearing Quincy as he generated blue Reiatsu water that cleansed the children into Reishi.
"Gottes Dämmerung (God's Dusk).," Yhwach said as he created a night sky of darkness from his Reiatsu to keep the waters stationary and preventing them from touching him.
"Gottes Erde (God's Earth).," Mechayemit said as he created large mountains made of blue Reishi to propel towards Yhwach.
"Gottes Baum (God's Tree).," Yhwach replied as he created a gigantic tree of Reiatsu with golden iris eyes on its countless leaves, which sunk its roots into the mountains.
"Gottes Galaxie (God's Galaxy).," Mechayemit spoke as he created a collection of countless stars from his Reiatsu, which incinerated the tree.
Yhwach gathered some of his Reiatsu into his winged sword and the sword exploded with blue Reishi and transformed into a colossal bird made of Black Reiatsu that blocked the stars with its wing span. It had a halo made of blue Reiatsu above its head, six eyes with the Almighty trait on both sides of its head and the Letters of A colored red covering its body.
It screeched at a frequency that was impossible for Kazui or Tsuki to comprehend.
"I'm beginning to think they have issues...," Tsuki suggested as he looked at Kazui.
Kazui nodded as he looked astonished at the impressive sight.
It's all just finding an opening to strike...all of these are just distractions..., Kazui observed.
The bird lunged at Mechayemit, who then placed his hand on the waters.
"Gottes Tier der Meere - Leviathan (God's Beast of the Sea).," he said calmly as he summoned a massive blue Reiatsu sperm whale headed sea serpent of impossible mass with eight blank blue eyes on both sides of its head, covered with the Letter of Omega colored yellow, seventy flippers on either side of its serpentine body.
It constricted the serpent and the two both fired massive Cero like energy beams, purple from the Ziz and dark blue from the Leviathan.
Both destroyed each other, but Yhwach had anticipated this.
"Gottes Tier des Stein-Behemoth (God's Beast of the Stone- Behemoth).," Yhwach spoke as he transformed the scattered Reishi into a gigantic, black furred mammalian beast with an elephant head with four tusks, six eyes, eight legs, four tails and six spikes growing from each side of its being. "A"s covered its body and it had a golden halo over its head.
It lunged at the monocle wearing Quincy with its mouth with razor sharp teeth opened as it began to charge a red Cero like energy blast.
"Gottes Menschlichkeit - Nephilim (God's Humanity- Nephilim).," Mechayemit replied as he created a giant of immeasurable size, one made of pure white Reiatsu, in which the Behemoth was only the size of its palm, in which it easily crushed.
"Gottes Sabbat (God's Sabbath).," Yhwach said as he emitted a dark filter around the space, which caused the giant to dissolve.
Yhwach smirked, but then Mechayemit was no longer in the place he was before.
The Quincy felt an arrow pointed to the back of his neck. He looked behind to see the monk Quincy had generated a crossbow modeled to resemble an Omega symbol on his right arm and pointed it at the Quincy.
"You always loved swords and lamented that we had to rely on our fragile ones because our parents focused all of the attention on the elder siblings who had swords...my twin.," the monk spoke.
Yhwach attempted to use the Almighty, but he was unable to use it.
"If there is an Alpha...there is not a Beta...or a Zeta...it's an Omega...the end...You are the Genesis...while I'm the Revelation..sorry for my arrogant claim..," Mechayemet spoke, revealing that his sole eye turned a uniform blue with a ripple pattern.
How could I have forgotten the Powerless...while my own eyes, the Almighty can see the far flung possibilities of the future like grains of sand...the Powerless sees one future within a sea of unknown uncertainties...and makes sure it occurs...nullifying any attempt to alter it...it sets fate in motion...causing any tricks, traps, countermeasures, defenses to be null in the face of inevitability...any power that it sees will become its owner's enemy...unable to be used ever again in their grasp...or any similar power to benefit them in any way...like making it impossible to be healed...it can absorb impact into itself and negate the damage...and lastly, it can force feed powers into others, leaving him pure..., Yhwach realized.
"It would've been much quicker if Seimei hadn't stolen the other one..., but bear with me...I'm offering my Modesty...into you to calm yourself...," the monocle Quincy explained as Yhwach gritted his teeth.
"I killed the Soul King...and his powers still reside within myself.," he explained.
Yhwach's right hand became black with an eye symbol on it and his left hand gained a two golden eyes on his palms.
"With my Right arm... I govern Stagnation...the stopping of development, growth, progress, and change; as it represents stillness, I can prevent whatever that tries to change or develop from happening...you have it now...," Yhwach explained as Mechayemet saw the eye mark manifest on his chest.
"My variation can stop governance without an exchange...you were a fool to willingly give yourself when you were perfectly capable of defeating him...teaching him humility to try again once he was stronger...," Yhwach added.
Mechayemet bowed down and disengaged his weapon.
Yhwach then summoned his dual swords, but then noticed a bone arrow shooting towards him.
Yhwach dodged it, but the arrow changed its direction midair and struck Yhwach's chest.
"Sorry gramps, but Master Kazui would probably want this done quick...considering...," Anomias said as he projected what was occurring outside the house.
Chalchu was about to attack Ichikia and Akuzu.
This caused Kazui to panic.
They're gonna die..., the orange haired boy thought with dread.
"Don't worry. The four of us can take him down...," the horned Quincy said as the other two came to Mechayemet's side.
"How so?," Yhwach asked.
"I'm going to remove a little bug Hollow that causes Quincy to die...by removing the root- the others are saved too...," the horned Quincy explained.
"And maybe some little lady can activate her Quincy heritage in order to counteract the virus from that Demon...," he added.
"Quincy have Hollows inside of them...ridiculous...," Yhwach scoffed.
Joanna placed her hands on the monk Quincy, which "emptied" the eye's presence out of his body.
"Fine...it's all about the singularity...not the unity...," Yhwach boasted.
