Chapter 31: A dire situation
A year had passed since the birth of Luz, the daughter of Skolas and Sapphirix along with Lara, Natasha and Nicholas. Everything had gone much more smoothly since the House of Wolves had become partners with the Awoken, and as an added bonus, Guardians were no longer greeted with hostility from the House of Exiles on the moon.
Little Luz had become an absolute treasure for everyone, especially Cortona, who wouldn't waste a moment with her and would always dote on the baby Eliksni, who didn't really mind and enjoyed it. Alex was no different and would always make sure Luz knew the two Exos loved her just as much as her parents did. That didn't mean they didn't spend time with the Awoken Royals, though. They always made sure to divide their time evenly between them.
On a completely different topic, it had taken much longer than Alex had thought to get that shrine of Crota's demise built. It actually surprised him that it had taken so long, and he didn't know why it did. When it was finished, however, no one would deny that they felt at ease knowing that Crota was finally dead.
As for the new Awoken Royals, Mara and Ana have been spending all their available time with Vulcan and their three children. Mara, of course, always doted on Lara and Natasha, since they were her biological children, but Nicholas was always the one she paid extra attention to, mainly because he seemed to show aptitude for Awoken magic at such a young age. Ana was the same way, and it seemed as though all three of the children showed a strong connection to both the Light and the Awoken's magic.
Another thing that was intriguing was just how close the three infants were with Luz, the four seemed inseparable.
Right now though, said four infants were taking a much deserved nap in a nursery in the palace while the three royals were in bed together. Ana was on top of Vulcan's chest and was rocking her hips back and forth and Mara was 'massaging' the man's lower half with her mouth and tongue.
"Mmmm." The Titan moaned in pleasure. Leaning up, he kissed Ana as she kept gyrating her hips on his chest. "You have become amazing in bed, my pet." He told her.
"I've had a lot of practice." She replied without stopping her actions.
"I think we all have." Mara chirped before resuming her current task. She started bobbing her head up and down while Ana trailed kisses all the way down Vulcan's body before joining her mistress at her position and shared in the work, moaning as she too used her tongue and mouth to please her master and both used their breasts to improve their efforts.
The Titan groaned as he reached his release, sending his essence all over them. The girls started the process of licking each other clean when Petra suddenly came in. The Queen's Wrath developed a very deep blush as she watched her Queen and her hunter lover lick each other clean of their Lion King's love.
"Y-your majesty, there has been an incident." The woman told them.
"And what has happened that requires you to walk in on us like this?" Mara questioned calmly.
"Taniks the Scarred, he has broken into the Royal nursery and stolen baby Luz." She replied urgently, shocking them.
"WHAT?!" They shouted.
"When did this happen?!" Ana asked in alarm.
"During the night, though fortunately, the Royal heirs are unharmed." Petra sighed.
"I'll contact the other Sins and let them know what has happened." Vulcan said seriously as he got up and Sentry materialized his armor.
"Oh dear, Skolas and Sapphirix are going to explode when they hear this." Mara sighed tiredly.
-The Tower-
Alex and Cortona were relaxing with their pets in the former's room, simply enjoying each other's company. Things had settled down quite a bit with the four infants in their lives, and they had enjoyed doting on them. They still felt somewhat… Empty, though.
"I want kids of our own." The female Exo muttered, even as Alex groped her ass.
"Yeah… Me too." He sighed.
"Guys, urgent call from Vulcan." Snake said as he appeared.
"Patch him through." The male Exo ordered his Ghost, getting him to do just that.
"Alex, we have a major problem. Is Cortona with you?" He asked.
"Yeah. What's up?" The Exo Warlock asked.
"It's Luz, she's been kidnapped!" He said in alarm.
"WHAT?!" The two Sins shouted in shock and anger.
"Who do I need to kill?!" The Dragon Sin growled angrily.
"Taniks the Scarred is the one who took her. Alert the Vanguard, quickly! I have to help Mara deal with things on this end. Also, be sure to tell them that Lara, Natasha and Nicholas are fine." He said before ending the call
"Isn't… Taniks the one who killed the previous Hunter Vanguard?" Cortona asked nervously.
"Yep, and now we're gonna kill him." He nodded as he looked over Lucky No. 7. "Come on, let's go relay the news to the Vanguard, and possibly recruit Cayde to the hunt." He beckoned as he walked to the door.
Upon reaching the Vanguard quarters Alex immediately went to Cayde and informed him about what happened. The older Exo was of course angry, but then became worried, as did the other two Vanguards.
"And what about Lara? Is she okay?" He asked. The Awoken princess had actually been made his goddaughter so he was naturally worried about her, as were Zavala and Ikora worried about Natasha and Nicholas respectively because they too were their godparents.
"Don't worry, she's fine. The same can also be said for Natasha and Nicholas." The Nightstalker replied reassuringly, causing them to sigh in relief.
"And Taniks… They're sure it was him?" Cayde questioned.
"I never got an answer, but I assume there was some security footage that indicated that it was him. Why?" Alex replied.
The older Exo simply twirled his pacemaker as he loaded it. "I have a score I need to settle with that armless coward." He growled.
"Cayde, you can't-" Zavala started before Cayde cut him off.
"No, Zavala. It's high time I paid Taniks back for what he did to Brask." He shot back with a glare.
"Welcome to the hunt, Cayde." Alex said before he left with Cortona to make sure he had what he needed for the hunt.
-The Reef-
Skolas held his bride close as she cried into his chest. Word had just reached them that Taniks the Scarred had kidnapped their daughter. Sapphirix was distraught upon learning of this, and couldn't stop herself from crying. Skolas himself… He was pissed the fuck off.
[When I get my hands on him, I'll make sure nothing is left of him!] He growled angrily.
"I still don't get it. Taniks is a gun for hire, what could he want with a defenseless infant like Luz?" Ana questioned as she tried to comfort Natasha and Nicholas, who were worried about their friend.
"The only conclusion I can come to is that someone hired him. 'Who' is the question." Uldren piped up.
"Yes, who indeed." Mara nodded as she handed Lara to Vulcan and took Nicholas from Ana.
"Who would want Luz? She's only a baby." The Titan wondered. That was when he noticed Variks was shuffling around nervously. "What's wrong, Variks?"
"Mmmm, found Hive-laced Ether outside nursery, near Corsair corpses." The Eliksni explained. It was at that moment everyone put two and two together.
"Hyrax!" The Titan growled.
[That worthless little whelp! How dare he order this!] The Wolf Kell growled, sounding very much like an angry wolf parent.
"Hyrax must want Luz so that he can use her role as the Kell of Kells to his advantage." Mara stated. "With Crota and his followers gone, he most likely wants to be as powerful as possible so he can take Crota's place in the Hive hierarchy."
"We won't let him." Vulcan growled.
[He will rue this day! The House of Wolves will hunt him down!] Skolas declared.
"You won't be going alone." Alex said as he, Cayde and the rest of the Sins walked in. "Don't be so greedy."
"You think he should be our Sin of Greed?" Snake asked.
'He's definitely a shoe in for it, I won't lie.' Alex admitted in his head.
"Well, how are we supposed to find Taniks?" Uldren questioned impatiently. He had been more belligerent than ever in the year since his sister's marriage, especially with how the three way couple acted.
"He should be pretty easy to find if he's only a hired gun. Just look for anything of Fallen make that lacks a banner." Gon said like it was that simple.
Uldren stared at the Goat Sin incredulously. "Is he serious?" The man questioned.
"Uldren, remember what I told you about him?" Ana reminded, causing the Awoken prince to blink before remembering what he was told about Gon.
"Oh. Right." He nodded slowly.
"Well at least we have some sort of plan." Alex shrugged. "Guys, you ready?" He asked his teammates.
"I am ready." Gon replied, his bow in hand.
"Let's do this." Cortona said, her left arm crackling with Arc energy.
"Hyrax will know our rage." Vulcan said, Sunshot and his Ax in hand.
"Let's go to work." Ana chirped, Polaris Lance at the ready.
"You know it, Al." Cayde nodded as he twirled Ace of Spades.
[Let's rescue my daughter.] Skolas nodded, his shrapnel launcher in hand..
"Alright, let's go! We've got a hunt to do!" The Dragon Sin said as he beckoned them to follow him. Sapphire stared at her husband's retreating back and could only think one thing.
'Skolas… Be safe.' She thought as Mara held one of her arms.
ThermalsniperN7: And just like that, this story's version of the House of Wolves arc has begun! Trust me when I say that it's gonna be a really bad day to be Hyrax.
