William walked through the Dungeon, managing to disable traps and fight monsters along the way. "You're doing great William! Dad'll be so proud of you when we get home" Patry exclaimed excitedly, now knowing that he didn't have to worry about his younger human brother on this Mission. "Thanks Patry, I really want to do my best on this Mission. Thank you for believing in me too" William replied with a grin. As he continued to search the area, William suddenly thought he heard something- "William?! William, are you okay?" the other Soul inside him suddenly cried in fear. "Wh- what?! what is it, what's wrong?!" the World Tree Mage demanded, looking around for some unseen threat. "You stopped responding to me! It's been three minutes, and you've just been standing there like a statue the whole time! I was really worried about you" the Elf replied worriedly. "Three minutes? But, I just stopped a second ago to listen to-" William paused and looked around, "huh? It stopped?" he asked, now very confused. "Maybe we should get out of here William. Whatever that thing you heard was might be dangerous" Patry replied.
"But we can't! What about my Mission? Dad gave it to me and as a Magic Knight of the Clover Kingdom, I have to try my best to complete it!" the Grey Deer Mage said in determination. Patry sighed, "okay, I get it. Just, try to be careful, alright? I can sense an extremely powerful Magic in this Dungeon" the Light Mage warned, before falling silent. "I will, I promise Patry" William replied, before slowly continuing onward. Suddenly, when the World Tree Mage took his next step, a Magic Circle glowed on the ground under his shoe. "Trap Magic!" the Masked Teen exclaimed as an explosion engulfed him. Suddenly William jumped clear of the smoke and landed on the ground, only slightly singed. "William! you okay?!" Patry demanded. "I'm okay, but my clothes and hair are a little scorched now" the human replied. As the smoke cleared, Patry saw the splintered remains of a vaguely human-shaped wooden figure that had chunks blown out of it and was slowly burning. "You created a copy out of wood and had it throw you out of the way of the explosion. That took split-second reactions and timing. How did you-?" the Elf asked, shocked at how far his Brother had come since they'd first met.
"I didn't train for years for nothing you know Big Brother" William replied nonchalantly, with a hint of amusement in his voice as well. If he'd had a body, or blood, Patry would have blushed in embarrassment, "Sorry William, I know you trained hard to get to this point- I'm proud of you. You've really gotten strong huh? It's almost to the point that you don't even need me anymore" the Light Mage apologised, sounding a little sad. The white-haired human stopped walking again, "Patry, you're my friend, the first friend I ever had. You're also my big brother. I'll always need and want you around" William replied. The Elf felt like he would be smiling if he had a body right now, reminded of just why he had wanted to be reincarnated into William again, even if they hadn't ended up failing in saving their people. He had wanted to be William's friend. To be there for the poor boy who would have had such a horrible life if he hadn't been there for him. In fact, William had still had a horrible life until the day he had awoken. He had been able to help this boy because of Bethany, and now William was there for him too- it made him really happy, gave him hope again. "Thank you, Little Brother" Patry said happily.
Black Clover
As William walked through the Dungeon, he suddenly heard the same thing from before again. "Do not be afraid young one. I mean you no harm" the voice of a woman spoke into his mind. The World Tree Mage stopped again. "William?" Patry asked worriedly. "Come to me now. Let me meet the one who is worthy of me face-to-face" she continued. Suddenly, the ground underneath him fell away. "SHIT! WILLIAM, SNAP OUT OF IT!" Patry cried. The human Teenager did, but it was already too late. William fell through thin air for several meters before coming too, but when he did he only had a few inches left until he hit a deep, black underground lake. The World Tree Mage tried to swim up, but found his head encased in an air bubble. He gasped in the provided oxygen, trying to swim to the surface, but found that though he could move his arms and legs, an invisible force seemed to be keeping him in the same spot. "Once again, please do not be afraid, you will not be harmed while you are here, I swear" the same voice from before said, and the words seemed to echo in his mind. "Who are you, what do you want with me?" William asked, wary, but trying to keep civil.
The water around him began to coalesce into the form of a beautiful woman with pale skin, fins for ears and flowing water for her hair and dress, "my name is Undine. I apologise for bringing you here in such a manner, but it was all I could think of. I also apologise for any concern for your life that I may have caused" the now named Undine explained. William blinked, "you're, the Water Spirit. One of the four Great Elemental Spirits!" the Masked Magic Knight exclaimed in shock. "No way. I knew Yuno was going to form a contract with the Wind Spirit eventually, but you too William?!" Patry exclaimed in shock. "The reason why I have brought you here, is because I would like to request something of you if I may" Undine began. William's head was spinning, but he shook that part of his confusion away, "what do you want with someone like me honoured Spirit?" he asked, not understanding why one of the four great Spirts would go to so much trouble to meet him. "You have a strong spirit and a kind heart. In all the years that I have been here, I have never met any human that I found worthy to be my Master or Mistress. But you are different, special. Please, form a contract with me" Undine asked.
William blinked once, twice, before crying out in utter confusion and surprise, "HUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHH?!"

Undine stared at the white-haired boy, "is something wrong?" she asked in confusion. "But, but- I'm, nothing! I'm just a Cursed freak! My own family didn't want me, so- why?" William asked, looking down, unable to comprehend it. The Water Spirit knelt down and tilted the Teen's head up with her finger. "I just told you why silly. I can't think of anyone more worthy of my power, I know you will use my power for good. Please, allow me to aid you" she asked. William clenched his fists, "I-" he clenched his fists, 'she is one of the four great Spirits, if she wishes to form a contract with me, who am I to say no?' he thought. The masked 16-year-old looked up at the Water Spirit, determination burning in his eyes, "I accept your offer, I would be honoured to be granted your power if you would dean to share it Honoured Spirit" William replied. Undine smiled brightly, "really, you will? Oh, that's wonderful! I swear I will serve you well young Master. If you would please tell me your name?" she asked cheerfully.
William smiled, "my name is William, probably soon to be William Novachrono. I look forward to working with you Undine" he replied happily. 'I'm not sure that I deserve this- but I will do my best to become worthy in my own eyes' he thought. "Alright, I'll take you to where my Summoning Spell is. Don't worry young Master William, you won't drown" the Water Spirit promised, before grabbing the World Tree Mage and plunging further down in the water.
Black Clover
Undine eventually emerged from another pool of water, the bubble around William's head that had allowed him to breathe popping upon exiting the pool. "Can you warn me sooner the next time you want to do something like that please?" the White-haired Teenager asked. The Water Spirit looked surprised, before putting a hand to her cheek, "oh, right. I'm sorry, it's been so long that I completely forgot my manners, please forgive me" she asked, becoming contrite. "It's fine, like I said, just warn me first next time, okay?" the human repeated. "Of course, I'll remember next time" Undine replied, nodding. "Thank you, now" William turned to look around the area. The room was completely dry, and on a pedestal, sat a scroll of parchment. The Grey Deer Mage walked up to it and gently picked it up. Unrolling it, William glimpsed a very complicated Spell, before it flashed and the text faded away, before his Grimoire also flashed. William replaced the scroll and took his Grimoire out. It flipped through it's pages, before landing on a new page and it's Spell. "Water Spirit summoning: Undine" he read, before shaking his head, "heh, Dad is going to freak out when he finds out that he missed out on this" he muttered to himself.
"Young Master William, would you like me to return to your Grimoire now?" the Spirit asked. William turned to her and smiled, "yes thank you, after all, I still have a Mission to complete. I promise that I'll call on you if I need your help Undine" he replied. Undine bowed, "very well, I will see you later. Please do not hesitate to call on me if you require my assistance" she said, before dissolving into water and flowing into the pages of William's Grimoire, after which the Spell faded to it's black inactive state. The white-haired 16-year-old looked around, "now, how do I get out of here" he muttered to himself.
