Foxy opened his eyes in the bedroom to find Vixey snuggled up against his chest which, shockingly, had been fixed back up and no longer plastered in bandages. He looked to the corner to see Kimber in her crib sound asleep, soon rolling over and facing them. His eyes turned downwards towards Vixey, seeing she was still sleeping while wrapped around his chest. She still had a bandage around her waist, but it wasn't near as large as it originally was. He glanced up at the clock, reading the digital lettering in their soft red glow.

The vulpine's attention returned to his wife, sighing as he placed his hand on her back and began to pet her gently, earning a light purr from the vixen. He let out a small chuckle as he watched her bask in the pleasure of him petting and rubbing her back. After a few minutes, he stopped rubbing and left it there, soon hearing her groan at him in response.
"Why'd you stop," She asked tiredly, her eyes still closed and wishing her moment of ecstasy to return.
"Come on, it's almost ten," He told her as he watched her lay her head back on his chest.
"I'm tired," She sighed as she wrapped her arms around his lower torso, holding him down in place.
"And I'm bored," He replied with a chuckle as he rolled over, forcing her off his chest before wrapping his arms around her.
"Aw," She whined as he held her near his body. "Why'd you do that?"
"Maybe because I want to wake you up," He told her as he scooted down to her face and planted a kiss on her cheek.
The vulpine continued his barrage of affection, trailing down to her neck, eliciting a small giggle from the vixen. After probably twenty to thirty kisses and a small love nibble, Vixey eventually gave in and opened her eyes.
"You're not going to let me sleep, are you?"
Foxy planted one last kiss on her nose in response.
"Fine, I'm getting up."
"Thank you," He said as he crawled over her and slid off the bed.
"I'm going to sleep as soon as we get back," She replied as he grabbed a shirt from the wardrobe and threw it on.
"That's fine," He told her, turning around to see her sitting on the side of the bed, standing up and stretching.
He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist, looking her in the eyes as she stared up at him.
"I really do mean 'thank you," He told her with a slight smile as he leaned down and beeped their noses together.
Vixey cocked her head to the side. "For what?"
"For everything," He replied. Vixey stared back at him with a look of pure adoration, and leaned forward to kiss him on the nose.
"Come on, let's go outside with the others for a bit," He told her with a smile as he let her go and walked towards the door.
He got to the door, and turned around to see Vixey picking up Kimber from the crib and walking over to him as he opened the door.
"Thank you," She told him, batting her fluffy tail against his chest as she stepped past him through the doorway.
He shut the bedroom door behind them and walked into the cove. The room had been cleaned up, the wall was repaired (granted the paint was still drying from the looks of it), and the destroyed chairs were all replaced. He made his way over to Vixey as she walked into the main room, and noticed that the wall to the back of the stage was repaired, also with freshly applied, drying paint. Booths were a welcome addition he found himself oddly happy about, and he saw the others all sitting around watching TV from some of them as they walked up.
"Here come the foxes," Freddy greeted as they sat down in a booth beside his.
"Yeah, yeah. What's up," Foxy replied, looking over at the bear.
"You're completely fine after everything that's happened," Freddy told him with a chuckle of slight amazement. "You're genuinely the only person I've met who's stood up after being burnt to a crisp and just been like, "Okay, cool."
"Yeah, we might need to get you therapy," Toy Bonnie added, plucking the strings of his guitar in a nonchalant fashion next to Toy Chica.
"We might need to get you an education," Freddy joked. Toy Bonnie stopped playing and stared back at them with a flat look.
"Mr. I-ask-questions-24/7," Foxy finished. The light blue rabbit rolled his eyes and turned back to the yellow chicken sitting next to him.
"We should probably worry about how we're going to teach Kimber," Vixey told him as he turned over towards her.
"I mean, I remembered basic education," Foxy replied shrugging his shoulders.
"You and I are adults, she's not," Vixey said as she looked down at the kit in her arms.
"Listen, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it," Foxy told her reassuringly. "We just woke up, and we both finally have time to do anything we want as long as we can bring Kimber. Let's just enjoy the night."
"Alright," Vixey responded. Foxy gave her a small smile.
"Those riots are dying down," Mike's voice rang out with a slight sigh as he entered the pizzeria.
"That's good," Foxy told him as the man walked over from the waiting area.
"Hopefully you don't tear this place down before we have another one," Mike chuckled as he leaned against the back of one of the booths.
"Is that my reputation here now? Ripping this place apart," Foxy asked as he looked around at the others.
"Pretty much," Freddy replied as he sipped on his drink.
"That or ripping someone apart," Toy Bonnie told him.
"Fair enough."
Goldy teleported into the room and let his feet hit the floor. Mike flinched involuntarily.
"Mike, it's been almost 5 years and you're still scared of that," Goldy said as he threw his arms out in disappointment.
"I'm sorry that I don't understand why you're able to do that," Mike scoffed as he began walking towards the office.
"I don't know what we're going to do about him sometimes," Goldy sighed as he stared at the night guard walking away. The golden bear then turned his attention to Foxy. "I grabbed something off that animatronic after we woke up, or, I guess I woke up," Goldy said. He passed a small metal contraption to the red vulpine. Foxy studied it for a few moments and recognized it as the wrist gun that was used to shoot him.
"Wow," Foxy chuckled as he grabbed gun looking at it. "I'm shocked that you actually thought about this."
"Why wouldn't I," Goldy asked him with a confused look.
"Most people forget the magazines," He chuckled, sliding the magazines from the side of the gun.
"Oh," Goldy replied going silent near the end.
"It's alright," Foxy chuckled as he patted the bear on the shoulder as he set the gun on the table.
"I wonder if it being new years has anything to do with the reasoning behind the riots dying down," Bonnie said. The rabbit had been looking up at the calendar on the wall, with his hands hooked behind his back.
"Wait, we have a calendar," Foxy asked as he stared at the wall confused. "Also, your feet are supposed to be shoulder-width apart when you're at standby."
"We do now. Lorenzo grabbed one for us a couple days ago," Bonnie told him. "Also, very funny, soldier-boy."
The rabbit grabbed a leaned on the booth's end, propping himself up with his arm.
"Well, I thought of something we can do tonight," Foxy said as he looked over at Vixey.
"Fireworks or…?" She asked with a confused face.
"Yeah, we can get to the roof and look at the fireworks later," Foxy chuckled as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and kissed her on the cheek.
"Sounds fun," She replied with a smile, rubbing Kimber's back.
"Probably need to go grab Toy Freddy while you're at it," Freddy said as he looked over towards the manager's office.
"How come," Bonnie asked the brown bear.
"He's been working on those reports all week. He hasn't taken a single break, at least not that I've seen."
Foxy raised his eyebrow.
"Why's he working on them, isn't that Lorenzo's job?"
"Oh, I think we forgot to tell you, he is made with information on how to do that stuff. I was also. We're basically like assistants for when they need help with reports or accounting information," Freddy told the red vulpine as he rested his head against Vixey's.
"Sounds boring," He chuckled back to the bear.
"It honestly is," Freddy told him.
Foxy watched as Chica walked behind Freddy and kissed him on the cheek.
"Whoa," Both Bonnie and Foxy chuckled as they saw it.
"When did this happen," Bonnie asked with a laugh as she sat down beside the bear.
"The other day, I guess," Freddy asked looking over at the yellow chicken.
"Sounds about right," She replied to him.
"Hey, Bonnie. Wasn't there a Monopoly set in the back somewhere," Foxy asked from across the walkway.
"I think so, but I do have the cards on me," He replied, reaching into his pocket and throwing the deck onto the table.
"Well, bring your purple butt over here and let's play a round," Foxy said, tapping his hand on the table.
"Only if you feel like getting wrecked," Goldy said as he walked back up to them.
"Where did you go," Foxy asked looking behind him and seeing a new person following him with tan fur. "Wait, who's that," He questioned the gold bear pointing towards the new animatronic.
"That's Ava," Goldy chuckled as she waved at him.
"Holy sh-" He went to say before cutting himself off due to Vixey preparing to back-slap him. "I didn't expect to see you with proper fur any time soon," He chuckled as he turned back around towards Bonnie who finally finished shuffling the deck.
"I was getting sick of not being able to get wet," She told him. "Plus, when your entire body is metal it isn't fun when your shirt gets caught."
"Fair enough," He replied as he watched Bonnie deal cards.
"What are you guys playing," Goldy asked as he leaned against the back of the seat behind Bonnie.
"I guess we're playing rummy," Bonnie replied as Foxy made the 'ok' sign with his hand.
"You better gimme a hand then," Freddy chuckled from the other end of the table.
They sat around playing rummy for the next couple hours, Vixey joining in after a while and tag-teaming with Foxy against Bonnie and Freddy. Goldy and Ava watched them play as Chica, Toy Chica, and Toy Bonnie all watched TV, Toy Bonnie still plucking his guitar as he did. Toy Freddy finally got out of the manager's office and sat down with them in the booth to the right of Toy Chica and Toy Bonnie, in front of Foxy and Vixey's booth.
"Did you get it done in there," Goldy asked the light brown bear with a chuckle as he sighed.
"Yeah, I'm just surprised it took me as long as it did," Toy Freddy said as Goldy gave him a friendly slap on the back.
"Alright, we're going to go up to the roof and watch fireworks. Anyone want to come," Foxy asked as he set his hand of cards on the table and stood up with Vixey sliding out, holding Kimber.
"Sure, we've got nothing better to do," Freddy replied, standing up from the booth.
They saw Mike walk out of the office and down to them with a cup, heading towards the kitchen.
"Hey, Mike. Mind if we use the key and go to the roof to watch fireworks?"
The guard unhooked the key from his belt and threw it to the red vulpine who caught it.
"Thanks, Mike."
"Just lock it up once you come back down, that way we don't have any visitors again," Mike told him with a small laugh as he walked into the kitchen.
Foxy wrapped his arm around Vixey's waist as they walked to the backroom, Freddy and Bonnie following them as they got to the stage and climbed up, continuing further into the backroom. Foxy grabbed a sheet of metal as he walked in and made his way to the ladder, passing it to Bonnie as he climbed up and unlocked the hatch. The vulpine threw the hatch open, and climbed up to see the snow-covered roof. He laid down beside the hatch and reached down for the sheet of metal, calling to Bonnie to hand it to him.
Bonnie climbed up and passed him the sheet metal, Foxy thanking him as he pulled it up and got to his knees.
He stood up and began scraping snow off the roof as the others began climbing up behind him in no particular order. After a few minutes, he had cleared a sizable area and looked back to see Vixey sitting down with Kimber in her lap against the little wall surrounding the edges of the roof, Chica and Toy Freddy climbed up as he set the sheet metal down with a small clatter. He walked over to Vixey and sat down beside her.
"This is fun," He said with a smile as she leaned her head on his shoulder as they sat against the wall.
"Reminds me of the time we climbed up that giant building your friend parachuted from," She told him as he chuckled, recalling the memory.
"That was a good night. Good thing we don't have to climb back down while staying hidden this time," He replied as he looked over at her.
"I mean, we are staying hidden right now, and we do have to climb back down," She teased.
"You know what I mean," He replied as he rested his head against hers and beeped Kimber's nose, causing the small kit to laugh. "You should let her crawl around for a bit. Not like anything on this roof is going to hurt her," He told her as she held the kit.
"Eh," She responded as she glanced around. "I guess you're right. The wall's too high for her anyway," She said, knocking on the wall behind them as she let Kimber crawl out of her lap.
They saw Mike crawl out the hatch and stand up with his phone out, counting down as he looked over at a small gap in between the neighboring buildings.
"10… 9… 8…" Mike began as Foxy and Vixey looked over at each other with a smile. "5… 4… 3… 2… 1," Mike shouted as the others cheered in celebration. The foxes both leaned over and gave each other a quick kiss.
"Thank you! This year is over," Mike shouted with a chuckle as he sat down in the center of the roof as fireworks going off in the background.
"What's so bad about this year," Foxy asked him as he looked over at the guard.
"I've been having to pay off student loans and this year's had me bent over a barrel," Mike chuckled as Foxy laughed with him.
"That's one thing I'm glad I went into the military for," He said as he looked over at Vixey who shook her head and smiled.
He rested his head on hers once again as he looked up in the sky watching the fireworks shimmer and fade as quickly as they went up. The pale moonlight shined upon them as they sat in awe at the display of gunpowder and colors that erupted violently above them, ash drifting away in the crisp, winter breeze. He looked down at the vixen that rested on his shoulder as he relaxed beside her, soon looking at the everyone who had climbed up to watch the fireworks. Ava was sitting on the edge looking up at the sky as Goldy stood behind Bonnie and Freddy, the latter sitting down beside Chica. Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica were making out behind everyone else causing Foxy to chuckle a little as he returned his attention to the painted sky. He closed his eyes as he rested beside Vixey, who had Kimber beside her, staring up at the sky in amazement. He smiled as he felt happiness fill his chest with a little pride to support it. At long last, he could finally rest with his family once again, this time with the new friends he'd made along the way.
The winter breeze listlessly carried a gentle, steady snowfall onto the roof. Kimber watched in awe as the tiny snowflakes fell onto the roof, each one building up on top of the other, some big, some small, but each completely unique in their own way. Foxy watched in amusement as a snowflake landed on her small, black nose, causing the kit to giggle in excitement. The red vulpine sighed as he felt his vixen readjust her head on his shoulder, feeling her gentle heartbeat rhythm and rhyme against his own. For what seemed like the first time in months, all was quiet, and all felt right.
Yes... This was worth it.
Little authors note: I hope that you enjoyed this story as much as I did. This is definitely a group of characters I will be coming back too soon. During the next couple days, you might see updates and it's simply me running back and fixing up errors, adding more detail, and whatnot.
