Chapter 25: Shimazu Returns: Part 2

"That is one ugly mutt," Raina commented as the Rangers watch the Wolfblades finish morphing into one creature. The Wolfblade howled, loudly, wandering around.

"Can anyone figure out which one is in control?" Andy scratch his head, "Cause, I have no problem attacking all three sides, but it might become a bit problematic."

"Man, the leash laws in this town need some serious work," Hunter scowled at Zoey as she slapped the back of his head for the pun. She just smiled at him.

"You guys better get out there, before he decides to make the Federal Building into a chew toy," Cam glanced over his shoulder. Everyone nodded and got ready to morph.

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

"NINJA STORM!"

"FIRE STORM!"

"ICE STORM!"

"LIGHTNING STORM!"

"THUNDER STORM!"

"RANGER FORM, HA!"

"Ninja Ranger Power!"

They ran out of Ninja Ops and Cam sent them their Zords, allowing them to form their Megazords.

"Let's pound this hound!" Shane called from his cockpit as they arrived on the scene.

"Right!" The everyone exclaimed in agreement, calling on their weapons to take on the Wolfblade. However, wolf's new strength was enough to avoid the Thunder Megazord and leap at the Storm Megazord, blocking an attack and slashing it across the chest.

"Hunter! Mini Zord formation!" Shane shouted.

"Good call Shane," Hunter nodded. They inserted the disks, and called on Mini Zord, who combined the two Megazords into one. The Wolfblade roared at them with a loud snarl.

"That's right fleabag! Keep yapping!" Shane called to the huge monster in front of them. "We've got something for you!"

"Lion Laser Attack!" They called at the same time as the Pink Fox Zord, Artic Wolf Zord and the Scorpion Wing, Andy and Raina name it, sent attacks of their own. Energy beams shot out at the Wolfblade, causing the monster to howl in pain. A cloud of smoke shot into the air, hid the faux wolf from view.

"Yeah, boy!" Shane cheered.

When the smoke cleared, the Wolfblade was still standing, and uninjured. "You've got to be kidding me?" Andy cried in horror.

"No!" Hunter yelled.

"Impossible!" Tori cried.

"No way." Dustin cried out.

"Is this happening?" Blake asked.

Raina started cursing in Spanish while Jenna and Zoey just seethed in silence.

The wolf launched at the Thunderstorm Megazord and pinned it to the ground, dealing rapid attacks with its claws.

"We're getting thrashed!" Tori exclaimed.

There was a familiar jerk, and before they knew it, they were standing back in Ninja Ops, courtesy of Cam. "Power down," Shane called, and the group demorphed, staggering.

"Listen up everybody," Cam left his chair and stood in front of them as Jenna joined them, looking worried. "The Zords should be back online tomorrow at the latest, but we're gonna need reinforcements," he told them, and the Rangers groaned.

"Well, I'm open to any suggestion on how to deal with these freaks," Shane looking around.

"I have one," Cam looked to his father. "Dad, I think this is a pretty clear case of emergency," he told his father.

"Say no more Cam. You have my permission," Sensei agreed, and the wall behind Cam lifted to reveal the place where they had stored the mysterious crate.

"We're finally gonna see what the big deal is!" Blake cheered.

"Anyone wanna take bets?" Hunter glanced to the others.

"As long as it's not another scroll," Zoey rolled her eyes, "I mean, seriously."

"It's gotta be some, like, really old sword," Shane grined.

"Or a cool fighting staff," Dustin nodded as Cam lifted a smaller wooden box from the crate and hauled it over to the table.

"I don't think that's big enough to be a fighting staff." Raina tilted her head to the side as Dustin grinned at her.

When Cam listed the lid, the others gathered around to see who was right. When the box was opened, he revealed a large wooden cylinder with a scroll inside.

"Great. Just what we need," Tori grumbled. "Another ancient scroll."

Zoey held out her hand to Andy, who bet her $20 it was another scroll, as he handed her money. "Seriously?" Jenna asked, "When are you going to learn? She always wins."

"She's bound to be wrong one of these days." He defended.

"Yeah," Zoey took half and gave the rest to Jenna, "But not to you. In the meantime, I'll just enjoy taking your money."

"Why did you give Jenna half?" Blake questioned.

"We have an ongoing deal. We never bet each other." Jenna explained, "But, if someone else calls on the bet, and one of us answers and wins, the other automatically gets half. Call it a good faith gesture."

"Hey Cam, I just wanted to ask-" Shane started, but was immediately shushed by the genius. "Ok… well, maybe we'll just leave you alone."

"So what do we do while we wait for the dog pack?" Blake asked, flinching when Zoey narrowed her eyes at him pun.

"Be strong, and stay alert," Sensei told them.

"Let's go dude," Hunter nudged his brother, earning looks from the others. "We just...got something we gotta take care of," he explained, as the two brothers headed for the door.

"They're kidding, right?" Shane raised an eyebrow.

"Call us if you need us!" Blake shouted back to them.

"They don't actually think anybody's buying that, do they?" Zoey asked with a grin.

"I really have to work with him on his lying." Jenna laid her arm over her friend's shoulder, "That was really painful to watch." Seeing the look Shane was giving Tori, the Ice Ninja frowned, "You're not thinking what I think you're thinking? Are you?"

"I think he is." Andy shook his head, "Sad thing is, I really want to join him. But I have a firm policy about going up against Thunder Ninjas. Really bad mojo for Thunder and Lightning Ninjas to fight."

"He's right. Even sparring can be dangerous." Raina agreed.

"That is the reason the Thunder and Lighting Academies were separated. The students caused too much damage." Sensei pointed out, "It was for the best."

Zoey and Jenna stayed at Ninja Ops while everyone else let to some practice in for the talent show. Cam was studying the scroll, Sensei was meditating, and the girls decided to do a little Tai Chi. Standing in the middle of the room, going through their Kata, they let their Pai Zhuq energy run through them. Little Kit came out of the back and stopped to stare at their Spirit Animals running around. She calmly walked over and looked back and forth between the pink fox and the silver wolf.

"Zoey, I think you might want to get Kit before she gets hurt." Cam said when he looked over. The girls stopped what they were doing and looked down just as Kit decided to take a swipe at Vexy. Her little paw when right through the Spirit. She look down and back up, tried swiping at her a couple more times before she got irritated. She turned her back, flipped her tail up, and jumped into her Fox House by the table.

"It would seem your Spirit Animal has irritated the young Kit." Sensei said as the girls and Cam tried not to laugh.

"That was awesome." Raina said, as she and Dustin came down the stairs. "Cutest thing ever. I seriously think she's part cat. They're the only ones I've ever seen who can be bored and irritated at the same time."

"And looking stuck up and snotty at the same time," Andy agreed coming in from behind them, "Just don't tell Kat I said that. She's a scary lady on regular days. Knowing she's a former Pink Ranger, send chills down my spine." He shuddered, "Especially now that I know how she first met everyone."

Laughing, Zoey clapped her hand on his shoulder, "If you really want scary, go to the mall with Kim." She paused, "Actually, I think everyone agreed that Mall Kim was worse when she got pregnant. Below that would have to Bridezilla Kim." At that thought, she and Jenna gave their own shudders.

"I think I've figured it out." Cam said, making everyone look over at him, "I'm going to call everyone back. I need the whole team."

1-2-3-4-5

"Let me get this straight..." Tori said, looking incredulous, "You want...what?"

"Your power disks," Cam repeated.

"I know I'm the slow one," Dustin asked, hesitantly, "but doesn't that mean we'll have no powers?"

"Yes, but only until I return," Cam nodded.

Zoey and Jenna stood back, staying silent. Both girls knew what the others didn't. Never underestimate a Power Ranger with a genius IQ.

"Yeah, I dunno if that's such a good idea," Blake said, looking down at his morpher.

"Yeah," Hunter agreed, "I kinda like knowing I can kick some Space Ninja butt if I have to."

"Doesn't matter." Zoey and Jenna walked over, and without hesitation, handed their power disks to Cam. "Cam knows what he's doing. You have to have trust in your teammates, 100%. Or we have no team."

Jenna nodded, "Agreed. He's helped us get through some of our toughest fights. If he says this will help, then we do it. No questions asked."

Seeing the doubtful looks on everyone's face, Zoey just sighed, "Guys! Our Power Disks are the only things powerful enough to open the portal to the ancient world," She shook her head, "If Cam thinks this is the only way to defeat the Wolfblades, then we do it."

"You're right." Raina said, as she and Andy handed over their disks, "We do trust. And we trust your dad as well. I'm pretty sure he'd be protesting if this weren't necessary." Sensei just nodded, proud at his students.

Grateful, Cam smiled before looking at the others, "Look, if anything happens, Cyber Cam can activate the Zords. You can still operate them you'll just be in civilian form."

"Is that dangerous?" Andy asked.

"We're Rangers," Zoey crossed her arms, "It doesn't matter how dangerous it is. When it comes to protecting the world and the people in it, it's a chance we have to take. Power or no power. It's what we do."

Shane looked over at her and nodded. "Okay," he said, as he and the others handed over their Power Disks to Cam.

"Thanks."

"We'll be ready," Shane told him.

"Well, wish me luck," Cam nodded, and turned around, lifting his amulet from around his neck and activating it. "SAMURAI STORM, RANGER FORM, HA!" he morphed into his green suit.

"May the Power protect you," Zoey said.

He nodded and left Ninja Ops, heading to the portal site in the Samurai Star Chopper.

1-2-3-4-5

"I've got the coordinates," Cam reported as they watched him on the mainframe. "I should be in range soon. Stay on alert, Rangers." He paused, "Just a few clicks to the portal site."

They were still watching the screen when Cam cried out, "What the-ah!" They heard static and what sounded like an electrical surge, "Aah! I'm it!" They watched as his chopped was hit and crashed on the ground. "I'm down, I'm down!" he yelled.

"Cam!" Shane yelled as everyone stared in horror.

"We have to help him." Tori said as the others nodded in agreement.

"Uh, hello? Anyone notice a three-headed giant dog on the loose?" Cyber Cam demanded with wide eyes as he looked around. The Rangers strode towards the exit regardless.

"You really need an attitude adjustment," Blake told him.

"It's not in my programming," Cyber Cam replied in a low voice.

"Is sending the Zords in your programming?" Hunter asked.

"Right." The duplicate turned back to the computer. He tensed when Zoey walked over to him.

"You know, holograms can be hit." She glared at him.

"I think you should do the adjustment. Cam's too nice." Jenna as she and Zoey walked started to walk over to the Brothers.

Cyber Cam froze. He would never admit it, but there was something about the Pink Ranger that scared the crap out of him. The thought of her going anywhere near his programming really terrified him.

1-2-3-4-5

The Rangers arrived on the scene in their Zords, unmorphed.

"Alright guys, without our powers, we can't take any direct hits," Shane warned.

"Is that supposed to cheer us up? 'Cause it's not working!" Tori told him, rolling her eyes.

"Just be careful," Shane groaned.

"Did you just say that?" Raina laughed.

"Seriously, doesn't he know who he's talking to?" Andy agreed.

"Focus," Zoey said with a smile, "Without our powers, we're more vulnerable to injury. We have to be at the top of our game."

"Aye, aye! O Captain, My Captain!" Andy saluted.

Giggling, Jenna just shook her head, "Let's go."

"How about we just blow this guy away and go home?" Dustin nodded, sending a wind tunnel from his Lion Zord at the monster, pushing it back.

"Over here in the flying fish!" Tori yelled, as her Dolphin Zord slammed into the Wolfblade, just as Blake and Hunter showed up.

"Yo, what up dogs?" Blake laughed, "Meet the beetles!" Everyone laughed as the Thunders blasted the monster, making it howl in pain.

"Beetles hell!" Andy came in, "Say hello to my little stinger!" He shot a laser out of his Scorpion Zord's stinger. The blast sent the creature back enough for Raina to fly in an hit him from behind.

"Scarface?" She rolled her eyes, "You couldn't have come up with something better than Tony Montana?"

"Haven't you heard? Bird is the word," Shane grinned, blasting the three headed wolf and flew on past.

"You know who Tony Montana is?" Dustin asked, delighted, "Oh, man!"

"Ok, I'm cutting some slack on the puns here," Zoey said, as she came running in, "but can we keep the flirting to minimum? We're in the middle of a battle here." Everyone laughed as Raina blushed and Dustin scowled.

"Fox Fire!"

"Artic Ice!"

Zoey and Jenna sent simultaneous shots at the Wolfblade, sending him back into a mountain. He recovered pretty quickly and snarled. It turned on Hunter and Blake first, hitting their Insectizords. They let out yells as they rolled along, being thrown about their cockpits. Before anyone could react, he did the same to the Lighting Zords.

"Man, I feel worked." Andy said, as he and Raina got their Zords back up.

"Cyber Cam, any word from your twin bro yet?" Hunter asked, regaining control.

"Yeah," Blake agreed, "cause we're getting hammered out here!"

"Nothing yet!" The Cam Clone said, "Just hold those mutts off as long as you can!"

"Hurry Cam, hurry!" she pleaded as she got too close and was sent flying.

"Enough of this!" Zoey yelled, "Fox Zord! Warrior Mode!"

"Artic Wolf! Warrior Mode!" Jenna finished, joining her.

"I am so sick of these freaks thinking they can impersonate real warriors." Zoey yelled, her Zord glowing with Pink Energy, "First that Phony Fox, Nogitsune. Now these rabid Cujos are giving wolves a bad name. I'm done!" The Energy expanded and surrounded Jenna and her Zord. It turned into an entwined Pink and Purple rope, connecting the two Zords.

"Uh, Zoey," Cyber Cam's voice came over the intercom, "I don't know what you just did, but you created two new Power Disks. Somehow. I'm sending them now."

"What?!" The girls exclaimed as a Power Disk appeared before both of them. Picking them up, they looked at each other and grinned. "You ready for this?" Zoey asked.

"Oh, yeah." Jenna smirked, "Power Disk! Locked and Dropped!"

The Artic Wolf broke apart and reassemble on the Fox Warrior Zord to form armor. "Artic Flame Megazord!" The Warrior Zord was the perfect combination of both the Fox and Wolf Zords, with only canine ears remaining. "Sword Mode!" Both the Fox and Wolf's tails became arm mounted swords.

"No way!"

"Are you kidding?!"

"That's sick!"

Everyone awed as the girls faced off against the Wolfblade. "Ready?" Jenna looked at her Canine Sister.

"Yes ma'am." Zoey agreed, "How about we add a little Pai Zhuq to the mix?"

"I'm all for that."

Both swords light up. Pink energy on the right one. Purple on the left. "Jungle Spirits Unite!" They jumped up and moved the blades in a circle. "Flaming Fox! Artic Wolf!" A pink fox and purple wolf leapt out of the swords and shot straight at the Wolfblade. The girls lunged forward to make their own attack. While they battled, sending the creature back, they heard a yell from a nearby building.

"Guys! Check it out!" the Green Ranger called. He strummed a large guitar in his arms, and music rang through the air.

"Whoa!" Shane grinned, impressed with how good the Samurai was.

"Who knew!" Dustin laughed. "You should totally try out for Totally Talented!" the Yellow Ranger suggested with a grin.

"Not now Dustin," Tori rolled her eyes, but was smiling all the same.

"Anyone else want to lend a hand here?!" Zoey yelled, "Or are we going to do all the work?"

"You can explain your new Zord later." Cam said, holding up his weapon, "I'm calling this the Lightning Riff Blaster!" The Rangers laughed in response.

"You couldn't come up with a better name?" Blake taunted, and Cam shrugged in response.

"Actions speak louder than words Blake!

"Then get to acting!" Jenna yelled.

"Gotcha covered. Check this out!" Cam tossed the pick into the air and caught it. "I can use it to summon the mighty Mammoth Zord!" he told them. He began to play again, and the Mammoth Zord appeared nearby.

"Why didn't you just say so?" Hunter laughed as the massive Zord moved past Cam and towards the battle.

"A mammoth? Really?" Andy shook his head, "We're Ninja Rangers. Not Dino Rangers." Andy shook his head.

"A mammoth is not a dinosaur Andy! Don't make me hurt you." Zoey threatened.

"I'm sending you back your power disks!" Cam told them.

"Alright!" Shane grinned. "It's time to put this puppy down, once and for all!" he called as their Power Disks appeared.

"NINJA STORM!"

"FIRE STORM!"

"ICE STORM!"

"LIGHTNING STORM!"

"THUNDER STORM!"

"RANGER FORM, HA!"

"Ninja Ranger Power!"

Now able to use the energy given to them by their morphers, they combined their Zords into the Thunderstorm Megazord.

"Check it out! You're going to the pound, Wolfman!" Cam said as he began to play again.

"Power spheres, release! Serpent Sword! Lion Hammer! Turtle Mace!" Three spheres opened and revealed the weapons. Combining the Ram Hammer and Turtle Mace, the Thunderstorm Megazord grabbed the weapons.

The Wolfblade came at them, but the Serpent Sword slashed across it's stomache, knocking the creature back. They continued the attack until the Wolfblade was knocked to the ground.

"Combine with the Mammoth Zord!" Cam shouted. "The power should be enough to defeat the Wolfblades!"

"Got it! Initiating Sequence!" Shane called.

The Thunderstorm Megazord landed on top of the Mammoth Zord. The eyes glowed green when they connected.

The Wolfblade got back up, howling. "Mammoth Zord, engage weapons! Sphere Attack!" a slot in the head of the Mammoth Zord opened, and power spheres rolled out, rolling down the trunk and flying off into the air. Dozens of power spheres slammed into the Wolfblade, knocking it about the place.

"Ninja Ranger Power!" they called as the Wolfblade snarled, staggering. Lights shone from both the Thunderstorm Megazord, and the Mammoth Zord, which finally destroyed the wolf monster.

"Now that's what I call bowling a perfect game!" Cam laughed as the Rangers cheered.

1-2-3-4-5

Walking backstage at the Totally Talent Show, Zoey went over to her friends just as Cam showed up with a guitar and cowboy hot.

"Hey, you made it," Tori smiled brightly.

"Sure it's not Cyber Cam?" Blake asked with a suspicious glare.

"It's the real me," Cam smirked, lifting his head so they could see his face.

"Why does it have to be Cyber Cam?" Raina demanded, dressed in a pair of black booty shorts and a gauzy white crop top. "Why can't he just be able to play?"

"Yeah. I mean, he did say he had hidden talents." Andy agreed, wearing a black Gi.

"Uh, that thing's not gonna summon any ancient mammoth robots, it it?" Hunter asked, gesturing to the guitar Cam was holding.

"It might," Cam replied with a light shrug, looking nonchalant. "I've been known to rock a few worlds," he said, which made the Rangers laugh.

"Big words, little man," Shane smirked back at him. "Hey, but don't feel too bad when you come in second," he told Cam, which made the Rangers laugh even more.

"Or third. Or fourth, or even...fifth" Dustin added with a challenging grin. Cam just laughed, shaking his head.

"Be nice." Jenna said, wearing silver stiletto heels, a formfitting purple dress, with a black leather corset belt and a black leather jacket with a purple lining.

"Are you two performing?" Dustin asked, looking between her and Zoey. The Pink Ranger was wearing skin tick black leather pants, pink thigh high stiletto boots, pink button up tank top and a black leather vest.

"No." Zoey just smiled as Jenna walk over. "You guys better go. It's showtime." They walked away, leaving everyone else confused.

"It's time for Totally Talented!" Stu declared as the light turned on him. "Today, one talented act will win a chance of a lifetime! So, who's it gonna be?" he called, and the audience cheered. "Before we begin, let me introduce you to two very special guests. They're here on behalf of A.G. Media. Let's have a round of applause for Zoey Oliver and Jenna Scott."

Shocked that they didn't know, their friends stood up and clapped with everyone else.

"Thank you, Stu." Zoey smiled at him, "We are here at the request of our friend Tonya Sloan Park, who couldn't be here due to her maternity leave."

"That is correct. Now, we are only the representatives. We do not pick the winner. However, on behalf of tie or indecision, we will act as the deciding vote." Jenna spoke, "Now, Mr. Starmaker. Let the show begin."

The girls sat back and watched the show as Stu introduced the first contestant.

Tori took the stage to do her dance routine first.

Shane went next, proving he had the vocals to back up his bragging.

After Shane was Dustin. He took to the stage, wearing a yellow suit and suspenders, and shook the stage with his sax.

Cam went after Dustin and proved he didn't need his morpher to rock a guitar.

Raina performed a contemporary Acro dance routine, and Andy did a complicated Karate Kata with twin swords.

The biggest surprise was Hunter and Blake and their hidden talent. Blake worked in the back as a DJ and Hunter, the hype-man, rapped.

"Now for our final act, from...well, all it says is from far, far away. S.N.A - Space Ninjas with Attitude!" Stu declared. Marah and Kapri appeared on stage singing and dancing with pyrotechnics flying around. Zoey and Jenna exchanged incredulous looks. They actually sounded good.

"There's no way. Now way that those two inept Ninja Space Freaks sound like that." Zoey said, shaking her head.

"I have trouble just listening to those two talk." Jenna frowned, looking at the stage. She turned in her seat and saw Raina glaring holes at Marah. "If looks could kill." Zoey turned to see what she was referring to. When she saw the White Rangers face, she smirked.

"One of these days, we won't be able to hold her back from beating the hell of Marah." She looked back at the stage, "Honestly, I don't know if I would want to."

The crowd cheered when they finished. "Well folks, I don't think there's any doubt about it," Stu called as he ran back on stage, standing between the two. "Our winners are S.N.A. - Space Ninjas with Attitude!"

"No way," Shane couldn't believe what had happened.

"Dude, they were pretty good," Dustin shrugged.

"There is definitely something wrong with this." Raina commented.

"Really wrong," Tori agreed. "And I think I know why." She got up and walked onto the stage. "I knew it!" she lifted a pink CD Player from behind the curtain. "Do you guys wanna try that again?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, hitting play. The music and singing started, before Tori stopped it. "Without the CD player?" Marah and Kapri went pale as Stu frowned and walked away.

"No, No! They're our real voices!" Kapri insisted.

"Yeah! With a little enhancement..." Marah admitted softly. Stu scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"Well, hey, if we can't win, nobody wins!" Kapri said, firing an energy blast at Stu, before she and Marah disappeared.

"I am sick of working with amateurs!" he declared furiously. "I've done Shakespeare! Where's my agent?! I'm outta here!" he yelled and stormed off.

Jenna and Zoey conversed for a moment before getting up and going to the stage. "Ladies and gentlemen, if we can have your attention please."

"Due to the unforeseen circumstances surrounding today's competition," Jenna said, "there will be no winner announced today."

Zoey held up her hand, "Now, as a thank you to everyone who participated in today's show, you will all receive a $100 media package, courtesy of A.G. Media."

As the audience cheered, the girls walked over to their friends in the stands. "Hey, does that mean that nobody wins today?" Dustin asked, looking to Cam in hopes that he would have an answer.

"I dunno Dustin, I think we're all winners," Cam replied with a smile, and they all laughed, stealing his hat.

It's missing something. I know it is. Mmm… Oh, well. Hope you enjoyed. Don't forget to vote. The poll is coming down once I finish this story.
