Scene 28
"Kaiya, what are you doing here?" asked Itachi.
Kaiya was speechless and didn't know how to answer.
Itachi scoffed, turning away.
He pretended he was being bothered, but he wanted to rush and hug Kaiya.
All these years and he still held affection towards her.
"Itachi, please don't go." Kaiya's voice broke the silence.
Itachi turned and was shocked to see Kaiya in tears.
He made her cry again.
"Please don't go, I miss you Itachi. I…" she stopped clutching her hands to her chest.
Itachi slowly went to her.
Kaiya gasped when she felt Itachi's arms around her.
"I miss you too Kaiya," he replied softly.
Itachi then pulled slightly away and looked at Kaiya until he brought his lips to her.
Kaiya was still in shock but then kissed him back.
It all felt so familiar compared to their first kiss.
Itachi's softness.
Kaiya's innocence.
They still had affection for the other.
Itachi led Kaiya to where he was staying.
He was traveling alone without Kisame.
"You have a talent for finding abandoned places to stay at," remarked Kaiya as they entered an abandoned cottage.
Itachi shrugged.
He then lit a fire for them so they could have light.
Kaiya sat on the floor.
Itachi was shocked by how comfortably Kaiya was with him despite what happened.
He sat across from her.
"Itachi, are you going to fight Sasuke?" she asked softly.
Itachi was silent for a moment but then nodded.
"It was bound to happen, and I think the time is right finally," he answered.
Kaiya looked down, "Itachi do you want to die?"
"Yes," he answered bluntly.
Kaiya wasn't surprised, she knew that feeling.
"It's because of what happened with the Uchiha clan, you feel guilt.' she began, 'Itachi when I helped the Third Hokage, I came across some odd files…" Kaiya stopped in the middle of her thought.
She didn't want to admit she had suspicions all these years.
Itachi sighed as he threw a branch into the fire to keep it going.
"It was an order from the Third Hokage," he answered.
Kaiya gasped, "What? But why? People were killed, children Itachi!"
Clenching his fists, "I didn't want to at first, but my father was organizing a coop to start a civil war against the Hidden Leaf. The Uchihas were treated differently, though respected for our powers we were given the short end of the stick Kaiya."
Itachi then went to explain the past.
As it was suspected the Uchiha clan had ignited the rage in the nine-tailed beast all those years ago to destroy the village.
That if a civil war had broken out, hundreds more would suffer.
The village would never be able to survive after such.
How Itachi never wanted to see war again.
I never wanted Sasuke to see a war.
So Itachi took the violence into his own hands.
Instead of tarnishing the Uchiha name anymore.
He tarnished his own.
Murdering his entire clan and his own parents.
Becoming a criminal.
Leaving his home.
Abandoning Sasuke.
"The worst part was leaving you Kaiya." he ended.
The room was filled with silence.
After a few moments, Kaiya stood up and went to Itachi.
She then hugged him and soon felt Itachi crumble in her grasp.
Crying.
He had held this all in for so many years.
The burden had broken his shoulders.
Regret and pain were killing him now.
If Sasuke didn't kill him in the name of revenge, Itachi's body would fall apart and die instead.
Itachi rather died fighting and seeing his little brother one last time.
Kaiya then cupped Itachi's face into her hands and kissed him.
"Itachi, I love you," she whispered between kisses.
"I love you too Kaiya, I always haved," he replied.
Their kisses grew fiercer.
Soon enough their hands are roaming the other's body.
This is how it starts.
Kaiya gaining her body back.
This was her choice, no one else's.
Itachi made sure of it.
His hands were just about to take Kaiya's top off when he asked, "Kaiya, is this okay? I don't want to pressure you."
Kaiya's heart was beating fast.
Her breaths were heavy.
It had never felt more okay.
But a pang in her heart did go out.
Kakashi.
Kaiya needed this though.
She wanted this.
With Itachi.
Her first love.
Kaiya nodded and kissed Itachi.
The two then slowly took the other's clothes off.
When they were both naked, Itachi stopped to look at Kaiya.
Her body beneath his.
Hair sprawled out on the floor like beautiful waves.
Scars covered her body though.
From years of abuse and violence.
Some from Orochimaru.
Some from missions.
Some her own.
"You're beautiful Kaiya." Itachi admired her.
Kaiya blushed.
A tear went down her cheek and Itachi wiped it away.
Facing fears.
"I want to make sure this is okay Kaiya, at any time I'll stop," reassuring her.
"Itachi, I want this. I want you." Kaiya replied.
And whilst their hearts were crying tears.
Relaying their regrets and fears onto the other.
Itachi was able to experience one more moment of happiness.
And Kaiya was able to feel free for the first time.
