Draxon, Roxas, and Mew exit out of a dark corridor and they arrive in Lumiose City inside an alleyway. The trio walk out into the streets. But usually where there were people and Pokémon walking on the sidewalks and hanging out at the local restaurants, there was no one to be seen.
"Mew?" Mew says tilting it's head to the right in confusion
"Huh. That's weird. The streets are empty." Draxon says
"So where to?" Roxas asks
"I was thinking we'd check up on Ash and the others. Last time we were here, they were on their way back to Lumiose City for the Kalos League. Looks like we're already here." Draxon says
"Yeah. But where's the League?" Roxas asks
"And where is everybody?" Draxon asks
"Mew." Mew says
Suddenly, the trio hear a loud explosion coming from down the street to the north of the city.
"I guess there's our answer." Draxon says
"Let's go check it out." Roxas says
"You just read my mind." Draxon says
Running off up the street, the two boys and Pokémon head for the Kalos League, anxious to catch up with Ash and his friends.
(Meanwhile)
At the Kalos League, it was the final match and Ash was up against a tough Trainer named Alain. It was six-on-six battle. For this match, Ash had Pikachu, Greninja, Talonflame, Hawlucha, Noivern, and Goodra for his Pokémon team while Alain had Charizard, Tyranitar, Unfezant, Weavile, Metagross, and Bisharp as his team. Both sides had been fighting a fierce battle and were down to their last Pokémon, which were Greninja and Charizard.
Up in the stands, all of Ash's friends were watching him with great hopes that he would win the Kalos League. Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, and Sawyer were seated on one row while more of Ash's friends like Tierno, Trevor, and Shauna were seated in another row down infront of them.
Prof. Sycamore was with the champion Diantha in a VIP box. Both of them were observing the match with much interest.
Mairin, Alain's friend and companion, was watching the match from another VIP box with Team Flare Leader, Lysandre, who stood silently with his assistant. Her Chespie had come down with a coma from an illness during her travels and she found help in Lysandre. Grateful, she deeply appreciated his aid in caring for her Chespie. However, little did she know that beneath his calm exterior, he was a dark man with a sinister plan for the future of Kalos.
Down on the battlefield, a large rain cloud loomed over the arena thanks to Goodra's Rain Dance. So far in this battle, Goodra had been taking a lot of hits from Bisharp's attacks. It had endured thus far, but now Goodra was starting to feel weak. Seeing his chance, Alain makes his move.
"Use Iron Head!" Alain commands
"Bi-bi-bi-bi-bi-sh-h-h-h-harp!"
Bisharp darts across the battlefield and smashes into Goodra with a head-on strike. Bisharp jumps back to it's side while Goodra falls down on it's knees, reeling from the powerful blow.
"Oh no! Goodra!" Ash cries out
"That was a potent strike! Could be trouble for Goodra." The announcer says
"Use Guillotine!" Alain commands
Bisharp crosses it's metal arms, summoning long blue blades as it readies it's attack.
"Come on, Goodra! Dragon Pulse, let's go!" Ash commands
"Goo-dra!"
Using the last bit of it's strength, Goodra puts all it's energy into it's attack, shooting a colorful beam from it's mouth. Bisharp slices through the Dragon Pulse, leaps forward and cuts through Goodra with a finishing blow. Goodra falls over and collapses on it's right-side.
"Goodra is unable to battle! Bisharp is the winner!" The referee announces
"Bisharp has defeated Goodra!" The announcer says
The Pokémon Heroes were displeased with the outcome of this battle.
"I feel so bad for Goodra." Bonnie says
"One Pokémon left." Sawyer says
"Which means Ash is down to his last chance." Shauna says
"Good luck, Ash." Serena says
Draxon, Roxas, and Mew make it to the Kalos League and they head up to the top of the stands, gazing out at the railing. There, they got a grand view of the entire stadium. The battlefield down below. All the people who had gathered to watch. The sound of cheers was almost deafening. The trio were astonished at how everything was.
"Mew..." Mew says amazed
"Wow! Look at this place! It's bustling with people!" Roxas exclaims
"Yeah. It's really lively." Draxon says
Draxon glances down at the battlefield and he saw Ash and Greninja going up against Alain and Bisharp.
"Hey! There's Ash!" Draxon exclaims
Roxas and Mew follows his gaze to watch the battle as Ash beams Goodra back into it's Pokéball.
"Thanks, Goodra. You were great." Ash says
Ash takes out his last Pokéball and looks down at it with a determined expression.
"Let's do this together. Go, Greninja!" Ash says
Ash throws his Pokéball and releases Greninja onto the battlefield.
"Ninja." Greninja says
All eyes were drawn toward Greninja as it stood ready for battle. Malva, a woman who was a news reporter and secretly a member of Team Flare, was reporting the battle from the sidelines with Team Rocket, who were disguised as a camera crew with Jessie holding a camera, James holding a light projector, and Meowth, who was in a tall guy disguise with Wobbuffet holding him up, holding a long microphone.
"So Ash has finally brought out his Greninja. Greninja will be Ash's final Pokémon of the Kalos League. If they lose, Alain will be the victor." Malva announces
The Team Rocket Trio stood some feet away from Malva. Obviously, they did not like her as she had forced them to work for her and Team Flare. Jessie was furious at Malva's ominous words.
"Who does she think she is, talking like Greninja's going to lose?!" Jessie says
Jessie blows a raspberry.
"Come on! Chill! The more the Twerp's under pressure, the more the Twerp will beat the pants off of Alain!" Meowth says
"Correct. After all." James says
"We're the ones who whipped him into shape!" Jessie, James, and Meowth say in unison smiling
With Greninja now on the battlefield, Alain and Bisharp stood ready for the next stage of the match.
"This is it, Bisharp! Give it everything you got!" Alain says
"Bisharp!" Bisharp says in a challenging voice
"Let's do it, Greninja!" Ash says
"Greninja!" Greninja says in a determined voice
Alain makes the first move, giving his Bisharp the command to attack.
"Use Iron Head!" Alain commands
Bisharp charges in towards Greninja, lowering it's steel-covered head.
"Now Double Team!" Ash commands
Greninja creates multiple copies of itself on the field. Bisharp rams it's head into the Greninja clones, taking three of them out before Ash makes his next move.
"Water Shuriken!" Ash commands
The Greninja clones all jump into the air with Bisharp in hot pursuit. The clones soon disappear in puffs of smoke, revealing the real Greninja.
"Gre-nin-ja!"
Greninja conjures up two Water Shurikens in it's webbed hands and throws them at Bisharp, landing direct hits. The water projectiles explode on impact, blasting Bisharp to the ground, sending it skidding across back towards Alain.
"Bisharp!" Alain cries out
When the dirt and dust settles, Bisharp was revealed down for the count.
"Bisharp is unable to battle! Greninja is the winner!" The referee announces
"Alright!" Ash cheers
"Ja." Greninja says nodding it's head
"They won!" Serena exclaims happily
"Yay!" Bonnie cheers
Draxon and Roxas were impressed at how fast Greninja was able to defeat Bisharp so quickly. Only a minute into the battle and already Greninja came out on top.
"That sure ended quickly." Draxon says
"Mew." Mew says nodding it's head in agreement
"I wonder how they did it?" Roxas says
The answer to their question was soon revealed from Sawyer, who looked up at the rain cloud hovering over the battlefield.
"That's it! The rain!" Sawyer says
"What are you talking about?" Serena asks
"I mean that Rain Dance powers up Water-type moves." Sawyer says
"Wow! Goodra's lingering Rain Dance is helping Greninja! Good call." Clemont says
Serena looks on with a pleased expression, glad to see that Greninja's victory was achieved with Goodra's help.
"It's a relay with Goodra. It's a true group victory!" Serena says
Alain beams Bisharp back into it's Pokéball and pulls out another one.
"Charizard! Let's go!" Alain says
Alain throws his Pokéball into the air, sending Charizard back out into the field. Charizard lets out a mighty roar and flies around over the field.
"Here comes Charizard! Both Trainers are using their last Pokémon! This will be the deciding battle!" The announcer says
Draxon and Roxas were stunned by what they heard.
"Their last Pokémon?" Roxas asks
"This battle must've been going on for quite a while. Take a look over there." Draxon says
Draxon points over to the gigantic monitor on the other side of the stadium across from them. There, they saw large images of Ash and Alain with six smaller images of their Pokémon next to them.
"Six Pokémon." Roxas says
"A six-on-six battle. We were lucky to make it in time to see this." Draxon says
Charizard flies back over to Alain and touches down gently onto the ground.
"Charizard. This is the battle we've been waiting for. Let's enjoy it all the way!" Alain says
Charizard lets out a roar in an affirmative tone, breathing a stream of flames from it's mouth.
"Know what, Greninja? We couldn't ask for a better opponent! Let's give them one hundred percent!" Ash says
"Ninja!" Greninja says nodding it's head in agreement
"Okay, Greninja, go!" Ash says
Greninja runs across the field towards Charizard.
"Go, Charizard!" Alain says
Charizard flies low across the field towards Greninja. Both Pokémon were closing distance with each other at a fast rate.
"Use Flamethrower!" Alain commands
Charizard shoots a stream of fire straight at Greninja.
"Dodge it, quick!" Ash commands
Greninja quickly rolls over to the left and jumps up into the air, evading the Flamethrower.
"Now, Greninja, use Cut!" Ash commands
Greninja flies forward, summoning a white kunai blade in it's right-hand, and strikes Charizard with a strong blow across it's chest, sending the orange dragon skidding back across the ground.
"Greninja nails that Cut! Charizard's definitely feeling it." The announcer says
The rain cloud summoned by Goodra dissipates and disappears from the battlefield, revealing the sun and clear blue skies.
"The rain stopped. How will it affect this battle?!" The announcer says
"That's all for Goodra's Rain Dance assistance." Sawyer says
"Still, remember that Greninja has the type advantage!" Clemont says
"It'll be fine. Ash will definitely win!" Serena says
"Let's show 'em how, Greninja!" Ash says
"Greninja!" Greninja says feeling confident
Ash looks over at Alain, smiling at how heated the battle was.
"Alain. We're not gonna lose. We're putting everything we have into this. Count on it!" Ash says in his thoughts
With his right-fist held close to his chest, Ash synchronizes with Greninja.
"Greninja!" Ash says in his thoughts
"Greninja!" Greninja yells
The frog-like ninja is enveloped with it's watery veil and it transforms into Ash-Greninja. Everyone was astounded by the bond phenomenon.
"There it is! Ash-Greninja!" Bonnie exclaims
Alain kept a calm face, but was excited to see Ash and Greninja having synchronized for the final stage of the match. This was the moment he had been waiting for.
"Thanks, Ash! I was waiting for you to give me a full-power battle. Now, lift me to an even higher level of battling!" Alain says in his thoughts
Alain looks down at his Key Stone on his Mega Ring on his left-wrist.
"Okay! This is it!" Alain says in his thoughts
Alain presses the Key Stone and activates it.
"All right, respond to my heart, Key Stone! Beyond evolution! Mega Evolve!" Alain yells
The Charizardite around Charizard's neck glows brightly in reaction to the Key Stone, causing Charizard to Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard. Up in the VIP box, Mairin watches intently, hoping that Alain will win the match.
"Oh please, Charizard. Help Alain win this!" Mairin says
"Fantastic! Alain's Charizard has Mega Evolved! And this battle will decide who will be the Kalos League winner!" The announcer says
"Greninja, go! Use Double Team!" Ash commands
Ash-Greninja charges towards Mega Charizard, creating multiple clones of itself.
"Flamethrower! Get rid of the fakes!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard breathes a powerful stream of blue flames, sweeping from left to right across the battlefield, destroying the Ash-Greninja clones, creating a thick cloud of smoke.
"Now, use Water Shuriken!" Ash commands
Ash-Greninja leaps out from the smoke with a large Water Shuriken in it's hands.
"Gre-ninja!"
With a strong toss, Ash-Greninja sends the Water Shuriken down towards Mega Charizard.
"All right, Dragon Claw!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard's extends it's claws with a green, scale-like aura and slices through the Water Shuriken, negating the attack.
"Aerial Ace!" Ash commands
Ash-Greninja leaps up into the air, readying it's right-fist to strike.
"Dragon Claw!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard flies up toward Ash-Greninja and both Pokémon clash with their attacks. Ash-Greninja manages to land a hit to Mega Charizard's body, knocking it back a bit, but the black and blue dragon comes back at the frog-like ninja with a strong uppercut, sending Ash-Greninja flying back to the other side of the battlefield. Ash-Greninja falls onto the ground flat on it's back. Ash feels the pain while Pikachu looks up at him with a worried expression.
"Flamethrower, go!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard flies forward at Ash-Greninja, letting loose a stream of blue flames along the ground.
"Cut, let's go!" Ash commands
Ash-Greninja rises back up on it's feet and summons two glowing kunai blades in it's hands, standing it's ground and cutting through the Flamethrower.
"Now, Blast Burn!" Alain commands
Mega-Charizard performs and inverted loop in the air and smashes down onto the ground, causing the battlefield to erupt with a wave of fire heading straight for Ash-Greninja.
"All right, Water Shuriken. At the ground!" Ash commands
Ash-Greninja pulls out a large Water Shuriken and raises it high above it's head.
"Gre-nin-ja!"
Slamming it's Water Shuriken into the ground, Ash-Greninja sends a column of water traveling across the battlefield, stopping the former attack with a large explosion.
"They stopped that Blast Burn with a Water Shuriken! I've never seen a battle like this before!" The announcer says
"Aerial Ace!" Ash commands
While Mega Charizard was distracted, Ash-Greninja strikes it with a fierce, quick blow to it's body, then leaps up and bashes it in the head with a strong kick, knocking Mega Charizard to the ground. The crowd and Ash's friends cheers loudly.
"Go, go, go, Ash! Go, go, Greninja!" Bonnie cheers
"Are you okay, Charizard?" Alain asks in concern
Mega Charizard growls in a reassuring tone. Alain looks over at Ash, smiling at the battle thus far. Mairin saw this from the VIP box as did Prof. Sycamore in his own VIP box with Diantha.
"Thanks, Ash. It's because of you that I'm finally having fun. Lots of it! I'm having more fun battling against you than I've had in such a long time. I'm grateful to you for letting me feel this. However..." Alain says in his thoughts
Alain closes his eyes for a moment. While he enjoyed the battle, his thoughts drifted towards Mairin as she appeared smiling at him in his mind. He then opens his eyes with a determined expression.
"I have to be the strongest one! I can't lose to anyone again! Charizard! Dragon Claw!" Alain says
Mega Charizard flies forward and strikes Ash-Greninja with a powerful blow from it's Dragon Claw. The blow was so strong that it sent Ash-Greninja skidding all the way to the other half of the battlefield. Ash grabs hold of himself and he grunts in pain as he felt the powerful blow.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu exclaims worryingly
"Wow. Powerful!" Tierno says
"They're still hanging in there." Trevor says
Even Draxon and Roxas were amazed by the heated battle. Neither Ash or Alain were giving an inch.
"Man! This battle's intense!" Roxas says
Draxon stares down at Ash with a hopeful expression.
"C'mon, Ash. You can do this." Draxon says in his thoughts
While Ash-Greninja stands up, Ash was also thankful for such a heated battle.
"I'm having an awesome time being able to battle such a strong Trainer like you, Alain! But this is gonna be over soon!" Ash says in his thoughts
Knowing that this was the end, Ash speaks out to Alain.
"Whoever wins, no hard feelings, okay? So, look out! For a full-powered attack!" Ash says
Then, Ash made his move.
"Greninja, use Cut!" Ash commands
Ash-Greninja charges forward, summoning it's white kunai blades.
"Charizard, Dragon Claw!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard envelopes it's claws with the green, scale-covered aura and flies forward to meet Ash-Greninja. Both Pokémon clash in the center of the battlefield. Mega Charizard swipes it's claws at Ash-Greninja, but the frog ninja jumps away, dodging the attack.
"Water Shuriken!" Ash commands
"Use Thunder Punch!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard attacks with it's claws enveloped with yellow electricity while Ash-Greninja defends itself with it's Water Shuriken.
"Greninja's blocking Thunder Punch with a Water Shuriken! Such intense combat!" The announcer says
After blocking a few of Mega Charizard's Thunder Punches, Ash-Greninja finds an opening and counters with a strong slash at the black and blue dragon's body, sending it sliding back a good feet across the ground.
"Ready for more? Water Shuriken!" Ash says
Ash-Greninja summons another Water Shuriken above it's head, which glows with a golden light. This move amazes Alain, catching him by surprise. But he soon commands Mega Charizard to attack.
"Now, Blast Burn!" Alain commands
Mega Charizard lets out a mighty roar and punches the ground with it's left-claw, sending fire erupting from the ground towards Ash-Greninja while it throws it's Water Shuriken. Both attacks hit their targets and an enormous explosion fills the battlefield.
The entire stadium came to a silent standstill as everyone looked on in shock and astonishment with widened eyes and open mouths. The smoke soon clears, revealing Greninja and Charizard standing at their respective sides. Charizard stumbles for a bit, but it regains it's footing. Greninja appeared to be standing strong, but then it falls over on it's left-side and collapses onto the ground defeated, reverting back to it's original form. Ash falls down on his backside, feeling the intense pain, but luckily it wasn't enough to knock him unconscious.
"Pika!" Pikachu gasps worryingly
With Greninja down, the match was finally finished.
"Greninja is unable to battle! Charizard wins! Alain is the champion!" The referee announces
"It's over! After multiple fierce battles during the Kalos League's final round, Alain clinches it big-time!" The announcer says
Charizard glows with light and reverts back to it's original form. Alain walks over to Charizard and gently strokes his hands on it's head, causing it to growl with content. Ash was amazed at how strong Alain was with his Charizard.
"They're strong. Wow." Ash says
"Pi pika." Pikachu says nodding in agreement
"Poor Ash lost." Bonnie says
"What a crying shame." Tierno says
"And the battle was so close, too." Shauna says
"It was a good one, though." Sawyer says
"Right. It was a very Ash-like battle, too." Clemont says
"Ash has a smile on his face. Of course he's proud. He gave that battle everything he possibly could." Serena says
Roxas slumps on the railing, upset that Ash lost the battle. Draxon was also upset that Ash didn't win, but he kept a calm exterior.
"Ash lost... What a shame." Roxas says
"Yeah... But he doesn't seem to troubled about it." Draxon says
Draxon remembered that on their last visit Ash had lost in his battle against Wulfric back in Snowbelle City and the loss hit him real hard. But thanks to his help, he was able to get Ash back on his feet. And now, he didn't seem bothered by losing at all. Draxon couldn't help but smile.
On the battlefield, Ash slung Greninja's left-arm over his shoulders and helped the frog-like ninja back onto it's feet.
"Great job, Greninja. Thanks." Ash says
"Ninja." Greninja says in an apologetic tone
"Don't be sorry. I'm grateful to have a strong team like you guys." Ash says
"Pika." Pikachu says in agreement
Alain and Charizard walk over to Ash and Greninja and thanks them for such a great battle.
"Ash. Thank you very much." Alain says
"Thanks to you, too. Our battle was just about as fun as it could get." Ash says
Both Trainers shake hands in respect for one another. Malva watched Ash and Alain and she smiled.
"This battle really has no winner or loser. What it has are the joyous faces of two Trainers, smiling after a hard-fought match." Malva announces
Team Rocket was crying having been touched by the battle.
"I am completely beside myself with awe!" James sobs
"That battle was the genuine article!" Meowth sobs
"Who cares about beating Twerps? All I care about is now!" Jessie sobs
(Moments later)
In the waiting room of the stadium, Ash sat on a cushion bench and met up with all of his friends having healed up all his Pokémon after the final match.
"Ash! That was a truly spectacular battle! I couldn't believe it!" Tierno says
"Thanks, Tierno. I'm sorry if I let you all down." Ash says rubbing the back of his head with his right-hand
"Stop. We all know you did the best you could possibly do. And you know that's what it's all about." Sawyer says
"Ash. Alain was really strong. And Charizard just kept hanging in there." Clemont says
"Yeah! I wanna keep meeting more and more Trainers and Pokémon and become a lot stronger. And that's just what I'm gonna do." Ash says
Ash looks down at Pikachu on his left and rubs his hand on it's head.
"Right, buddy?" Ash asks
"Pika!" Pikachu says in agreement
"Hey, Ash!" A voice calls out
Everyone looks on and they saw Draxon, Roxas, and Mew approaching them from the doorway across from them. Ash and his friends were surprised when they saw the two boys and Legendary Pokémon enter the room.
"Draxon! Roxas! Mew!" Ash exclaims
"You guys made it!" Serena exclaims
"You're here! You're here!" Bonnie exclaims
"It's so nice to see you both again!" Clemont says
Draxon and Roxas nods to the others in greeting, then they both look towards Ash and Pikachu.
"Ash, we watched you and your Pokémon fight out there. We didn't get here in time to see the whole match, but we saw you and Greninja fight. I'm sure you must've given it your all." Draxon says
"We're sorry you didn't win the Kalos League, but it looked like you were having fun. I guess that's what matters, right?" Roxas says
"Thanks! I'm glad you guys are here!" Ash says
"Pikachu!" Pikachu says in agreement
Tierno, Shauna, and Trevor approached the two Keyblade Wielders, drawing their attention.
"So, you're Draxon, huh?" Tierno says
"Ash and his friends told us so much about you." Shauna says
"We even saw the video of you on the news about the attack on Lumiose City." Trevor says
"I guess you're friends of Ash, too?" Draxon asks
Tierno steps up first and introduces himself.
"My name's Tierno."
Next, Shauna steps forward and introduces herself, waving her right-hand in greeting.
"Hi! I'm Shauna! It's such an honor to meet you, Draxon!"
Then, Trevor moves up to introduce himself, gesturing to himself with his left-hand.
"And I'm Trevor."
"It's nice to meet you all." Draxon says
Draxon looks over to his right at Roxas.
"This is my best friend, Roxas. He's a Keyblade Wielder like me." Draxon says
"Hi." Roxas says waving his right-hand
Then, Draxon looks left at Mew as the small Pokémon floated alongside him.
"And I'm pretty sure you all know what Pokémon this is." Draxon says
"Yeah! That's Mew! The Legendary Pokémon!" Shauna says
"Wow! You are so lucky!" Tierno says
"Mew." Mew says
"Ash told us about the Keyblade, but we've never seen it ourselves. Can we see yours please?" Shauna asks
Draxon and Roxas both nod their heads and they stretched their right-hands out infront of them, summoning their Keyblades: Soul Calibur and Kingdom Key in flashes of blue and white light. Tierno, Shauna, and Trevor were amazed to actually see the Keyblade appear in the hands of the two boys.
"Wow!" Shauna gasps in awe
"That's amazing!" Tierno says
Once the introductions were out of the way, Draxon and Roxas de-summon their Keyblades and turn to Ash, Serena, Bonnie, and Clemont as they step up towards them and Mew.
"So, what have you guys been up to?" Ash asks
Although they were happy to see Draxon, Roxas, and Mew, the Pokémon Heroes noticed that Xion was not with them.
"Hey... Where's Xion?" Serena asks
"Yeah. Where is she?" Bonnie asks
"Did something happen?" Clemont asks
Draxon and Roxas shared glances with each other, then turned back to face Ash and his friends. Now that they had left the Organization, there would be no more secrets. It was time their friends knew the truth.
Over the next several minutes, the two Nobodies told the group everything. First, they explained that they were Nobodies, non-existent beings who were born without a heart. Next, they told them about Xion. How she was a Nobody like them and that she had been unintentionally been draining them of their powers. Then, they told the group that they used to be part of Organization XIII and the missions they conducted as their members. The Pokémon Heroes couldn't believe their ears. Most of what they heard was very confusing.
"Huh? Organization XIII?" Ash says
"Pika?" Pikachu says
"So... you're Nobodies?" Serena says
"Beings with no heart... But how can you exist without a heart? That doesn't make any sense?" Clemont asks
"That's one of the things we don't know. Me and Roxas left the Organization to find the truth ourselves. We wanted to know who we are? Where we came from? Why the Keyblade chose us? What was our past? Where do we belong? There's a lot we don't know and no one was giving us any answers. One thing we know is that we're both connected to Devon and Sora." Draxon says
"But we don't even know who they are? Let alone where they are?" Roxas says
"What about Xion? Do you have any idea where she went?" Serena asks
"No. Not the slightest." Draxon says
"She left in the middle of a mission." Roxas says
"If I had to guess, she was probably looking for answers just the same as us. In her mission, she must've seen her chance to escape the Organization and she took it. Now, the Organization is hunting her. If they find her, they'll either use her for their own purpose or they'll straight up destroy her." Draxon says
The Pokémon Heroes stare at the two Keyblade Wielders with widened eyes and shocked expressions.
"What?!" Everyone says shocked
"Then, you gotta find her!" Ash says
"We know. That's what we were planning on doing next, but we have no idea where to look. She could be anywhere." Draxon says
Ash gets up from the bench and puts on a determined smile on his face.
"Well, I'll tell you guys one thing. You're our friends and we'll always be here to help you out. After everything you've done for us, I think it's about time we return the favor." Ash says
"Pi pikachu!" Pikachu says in agreement
"Yeah! That's right!" Serena says
"Once the ceremony is over, we'll get to sleuthing and help you find the truth." Clemont says
"And we'll help you find Xion and keep her safe!" Ash says
"Pikachu!" Pikachu says in determined voice
Draxon and Roxas both smiled, happy to see that the Pokémon Heroes were willing to help them.
"Thanks, guys. You're great friends." Draxon says

In a hidden laboratory somewhere within Lumiose City, a man named Xerosic, who happened to be Team Flare's Head Scientist was observing Z-2, Squishy's counterpart, as it sat in a tank with a terrified expression.
"All preparations are complete. It's time to begin!" Xerosic says
The scientists in the lab bring up the holographic controls for a cannon and aim it towards the tank. A red beam of Mega Evolution energy shoots out from the cannon and hits Z-2, causing it to warble and cry out in distress and pain.

At the Lumiose Conference, a closing ceremony was held to commemorate Alain on his victory in being the winner of the Kalos League. Everyone was in attendance. Ash was down on the field with Alain as the runner-up for the celebration while Draxon, Roxas, Mew, and all their friends were seated in the stands. Diantha approaches Alain with the Kalos League Cup Trophy in her hands.
"Alain. You've created a strong bond between you and your Pokémon. As a Trainer, you've displayed unparalleled strength through a number of challenging battles. I applaud you." Diantha says
Alain takes the trophy from Diantha and accepts it gladly.
"Thanks so much, Diantha." Alain says
The stadium was filled with the applause from the crowd as they cheered.
"Alain! Congratulations!" Ash says
Alain looks over at Ash and smiles. Mairin was still in the VIP Box, extremely happy that her friend had won the championship.
"I'm so happy. Of course these tears are happy tears. Hey, Lysandre? Don't you..." Mairin says
Mairin turns around, but doesn't see Lysandre anywhere.
"Huh? Where'd he go?" Mairin asks confused

Back down in the dark lab, the corrupted energy possesses Z-2. It's entire body was now coated with a black-red aura and the blue hexagon on it's body and it's one eye was now glowing red.
"This is why humans are so... so evil!" Z-2 says
(At the Lumiose Conference)
In the stands, Squishy, who was in Bonnie's bag with Dedenne sensed that something was wrong and began looking around worryingly, drawing Bonnie's attention.
(In the secret lab)
Xerosic spreads his arms out, pleased with the progress of their research.
"Our research is finally about to produce results!" Xerosic says
Lysandre enters the lab and approaches the tank, gazing upon the possessed Z-2.
"Zygarde, the time has come. Show me your power! Do it now!" Lysandre says
"Humans are foolish! They must all disappear! All the human fools on this planet must disappear!" Z-2 says
The pod soon shatters from the evil energy and Prism Tower suffers a large explosion on it's side. It turns out this was where the secret lab was. Z-2 hops onto the roof outside the tower while Lysandre and Xerosic watch.
"The curtain's up! And the spotlight's on my greatest work of all!" Lysandre says
In that moment, Z-2 emits a pulse throughout Lumiose City and absorbs green Zygarde Cells from the surrounding ecosystem, which stream their way towards Prism Tower. Once the process was complete, red electricity surges down the tower and red-black roots emerge throughout Lumiose City, terrifying both humans and Pokémon, causing chaos throughout the entire city. The roots emitted a black aura of darkness.
"Anything and everything on this planet is about to be reborn. Reborn as a beautiful world!" Lysandre says
The evil roots soon reach the Lumiose Conference as they slither through the walls of the stadium, disrupting the ceremony and catching everyone completely by surprise.
"Whoa!" Roxas exclaims
"Mew!" Mew exclaims
"What the heck?!" Draxon exclaims
"What is that thing?!" Prof. Sycamore asks
"What is going on?!" Diantha asks
Squishy wiggles it's way out of Bonnies bag and frantically scurries away.
"Squishy, stop! Where are you going?" Bonnie says
Bonnie jumps out of her seat and chases after Squishy.
"Bonnie! Come back!" Clemont exclaims
Serena and Clemont follows Bonnie as she runs through the chaos. While they run off, Draxon, Roxas, and Mew look toward each other, then down towards Ash and Alain.
"C'mon! Let's get down there!" Draxon says
Draxon and Roxas run down the stands and jumps down onto the field with Mew flying right behind them. The trio rush over to Ash and Alain and meet up with them in the midst of the chaos.
"Ash! Are you alright?!" Draxon asks concerned
"Yeah! What's going on?" Ash asks
"I don't know, but it's not safe here!" Draxon exclaims
"Let's get outside and head for Prism Tower!" Alain exclaims
"Right!" Draxon exclaims
Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, and Alain all run for the exit, heading out of the stadium.
Atop Prism Tower, Lysandre and Xerosic grin maliciously as Z-2, now in it's 50% serpent form, stands on the tower, enveloped in a red and black aura. Z-2 sends out another pulse, which grows more roots through the city, increasing the panic.
Back in the stadium, Pikachu and Mew went on ahead, leading Draxon, Roxas, Ash, and Alain through the vine-infested halls as they tried to find their way out.
"Where's Mairin?" Alain asks
"During the finals, she didn't wanna get in your way. She asked me not to tell you." Ash says
"She's always overthinking these things..." Alain says
"At a time like this, I guess I can ask... Is Mairin important to you?" Ash asks
Alain was a bit surprised by the sudden question, but he responds.
"Yeah..." Alain says
"Let's go find her. We'll help you look!" Ash says
"Keep moving! I think we're almost out!" Draxon says
Eventually, the heroes make it out of the stadium.
"It's out here, too!" Ash exclaims
"Ash!" A female voice calls out
Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Alain, Pikachu, and Mew look over to their right and saw that the voice belonged to Serena as she ran over to them with Clemont and Bonnie following her.
"Are you all okay?" Clemont asks
"We're fine." Draxon says
"Ash, Draxon, Squishy disappeared. It ran off somewhere!" Bonnie says
The group suddenly hear an alarm call through the city speakers.
"Giant mysterious creeping vines are overrunning the city, and there has been major damage centered around Prism Tower. Avoid that area during evacuation. Again: There has been major damage around Prism Tower." A female announcer says
Everyone looks over at Prism Tower in the distance to see the roots spreading from there. They also see something glowing at the top of the tower. It was Z-2 still in it's serpent form.
"Look! At the top of the tower!" Roxas exclaims
"What's that?" Clemont asks
"It's glowing." Bonnie says
"Could it be... Zygarde?" Alain asks
"What do you mean?" Serena asks
"These vines are the work of Zygarde for sure!" Alain says
"Oh no..." Clemont gasps in shock
"That has got to be the cause of this mess." Draxon says
(Meanwhile)
Squishy hops through the city streets, heading for Prism Tower, sensing that it's twin was there.
"Respond! Respond!" Squishy says
Squishy stops for a moment and absorbs the green cells from the environment around it, transforming into it's 10% dog form. Then, it tries to contact Z-2 through telepathy.
"You! What is it? Respond! Respond!" Squishy calls out
Squishy receives no answer and it continues onward towards Prism Tower.
(Back at the stadium)
Bonnie thought she heard Squishy's voice and she looks over at Prism Tower, where it was closest to Z-2.
"Squishy..." Bonnie says
Bonnie turns and looks back at the others.
"Squishy's heading for Prism Tower!" Bonnie says
"What? Really?" Clemont asks
"Yeah! I'm sure of it!" Bonnie says
After saying that, Bonnie runs off.
"Bonnie! Wait!" Clemont calls out
"Go! We'll catch up with you guys later!" Ash says
"What about you?" Serena asks
"We'll go with Alain to look for Mairin." Ash says
"But..." Serena says
"Don't worry. We'll catch up as soon as we find her." Ash says
"Ash, take this!" Clemont says
Clemont reaches into the left-pocket of his backpack and tosses Ash a communication device and he catches it. The communicator Ash had in his hand was blue with a lightning bolt poking out at the top. Clemont had two other communicators in his hands. The one in his left-hand was pink, probably for Bonnie, while the other one in his right-hand was orange. Serena also had one in her hand. Her communicator was red.
"It's a communicator. I thought we'd encounter a situation precisely like this one! It's not that powerful, but it should come in handy." Clemont says
"Thanks, Clemont!" Ash says
"Be careful, okay?" Serena asks
"We will!" Ash says
Ash looks back at the two Keyblade Wielders and Alain.
"Let's go!" Draxon says
And so, Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Alain, Pikachu and Mew run off to find Mairin while Serena and Clemont fun to catch up with Bonnie as they head for Prism Tower.

As the people and Pokémon move to get to safety, a large root emerges from the ground. Sawyer steps in and takes out his Pokéball, sending out his Sceptile.
"Sceptile, Leaf Blade!" Sawyer commands
Sceptile is released from it's Pokéball and it slices through the root with it's glowing bladed leaves. As if things couldn't get any worse, the Heartless begin to appear in the form of Neoshadows, Darkballs, Flutterings, Possessors, Flame Cores, Water Cores, and Earth Cores blocking their path.
"All right, let's do this!" Sawyer says
Tierno, Shauna, and Trevor walk up alongside Sawyer and make their stand against the dark creatures.
"Okay! We're gonna make a path!" Tierno says
The three Trainers each take out a Pokéball and send out their Pokémon.
"Ivysaur, let's go!" Shauna says
"You, too, Charizard!" Trevor says
"Blastoise!" Tierno says
Ivysaur, Blastoise, and Charizard are brought out of their Pokéballs and stand together against the Heartless, ready for a fight.

Prof. Sycamore was still outside the stadium, helping other citizens evacuate.
"Everyone, that way!" Prof. Sycamore says pointing away from the stadium
Two large roots sprout from the ground infront of the Pokémon Researcher and behind him. As he stares at the chaos, he recalls his conversation with Olympia in Anistar City.
"Black shadows. And green fire. An evil, dreadful darkness. I saw it engulf Kalos and threaten to consume all of the people and Pokemon in that great darkness."
"So, Olympia foresaw this was going to happen." Prof. Sycamore says
More of Olympia's words went through Sycamore's mind as at the same time Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, Alain, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie went off to their tasks.
"You will all play a substantial role in the chaos and turmoil."
The Pokémon Researcher looks around, wondering where Ash and his friends were in the midst of this disaster.
"But where are Ash and the others now?" Prof. Sycamore asks

Humans and Pokémon flee the stadium as the Heartless go on the attack. A man falls over on his stomach and turns around to see a Neoshadow leaping towards him with it's claws ready to strike. He screams and covers himself with his arms. Suddenly, the Heartless was destroyed by a Moonblast. The attack came from Gardevoir and it's Trainer, Diantha as they stood infront of the man.
"Are you alright?" Diantha asks
"Yes, ma'am!" The man says
Officer Jenny rushes over to Diantha.
"Thank you very much!" Officer Jenny says
"Hi, Officer Jenny. How's the evacuation going?" Diantha asks
"I've got every officer on duty, but the damage is quickly spreading. And the Heartless are appearing throughout the city!" Officer Jenny says
"Just when things weren't bad enough. Okay. Show me the way to the tower, please!" Diantha says
"Right!" Officer Jenny says
Officer Jenny leads Diantha, Gardevoir, and the man away from the stadium as they head down toward the city.

Near the stadium, Team Rocket was panicking as some dark roots slithered towards them. Jessie and James were trying to stomp and kick away the roots while Meowth was bashing one with his long microphone.
"This is crazy! What is going on?!" Jessie exclaims
"It doesn't appear to be a natural disaster!" James exclaims
"Get those things outta here!" Meowth exclaims
Malva was staring out at Prism Tower in the distance, clearly knowing what was going on.
"It's Lysandre..." Malva mutters

In another part of Lumiose City, Mairin was up on one of the buildings with a group of civilians. Suddenly, she heard a voice calling her.
"Mairin! Mairin!" The voice calls
Mairin recognized the voice belonging to Alain.
"It's Alain!" Mairin exclaims
Mairin soon saw Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Alain, Pikachu, and Mew running towards her. She waves her right-hand and calls out to them.
"Alain!" Mairin calls out
The heroes look up and saw Mairin above them.
"Mairin! Over here! We have to get to Prism Tower!" Ash says
Suddenly, a group of Neoshadows emerge infront of the heroes, blocking their way towards the building.
"Ah! Not the Heartless, too!" Ash exclaims
Draxon and Roxas move up infront and summon their Keyblades: Soul Calibur and Kingdom Key.
"We got this!" Draxon says
The two boys charge at the Heartless and quickly dispatch them, taking each of them out with just a swipe of their Keyblades. Draxon cuts through one Neoshadow with a downward slash, a right slash at another one, then quickly takes down a third one with a roundhouse slash. Roxas slices a Neoshadow with an uppercut slash, strikes down a second one with a downward slash, and goes through a third Shadow with a reverse roundhouse slash. Mew helps them out with an Aura Sphere, launching a blue orb of pure energy at four Neoshadows, blasting them away.
Ash, Pikachu, and Alain watched as the heroic trio fought the Heartless.
"Those are Heartless?" Alain says
Alain had seen the reports of Heartless on the news about the attacks on Lumiose City and Santalune City, but he had never actually seen them in person.
Soon, Draxon and Roxas finish off the group of Heartless. But before they could proceed onwards, more Neoshadows emerge infront of them.
"Charizard!" Alain calls
"Use Dragon Claw!" Alain says
Charizard flies forward and slices through three Neoshadows at once with it's green aura-scaled claws. Ash and Pikachu step up and make their move.
"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!" Ash commands
"Pika!" Pikachu says
Pikachu leaps up into the air with two Neoshadows jumping up after it. The yellow mouse's tail shines with a silver color as it became hard as steel.
"Chu-pika!"
Spinning around, Pikachu swings it's hardened tail at the two Neoshadows, taking out both Heartless in one swoop.
(Meanwhile)
Back with Team Rocket, Malva starts walking away, taking their notice.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Jessie asks
"This show's off the air. As for you, you can do whatever you like." Malva says
"But, Malva?" James says
"You mean you're just gonna stop reporting?!" Meowth asks
"I remembered something very important." Malva says looking back at the trio
After saying that, Malva walks off.
"Of all the nerve... I never!" Jessie says
As she stares out at the chaos, Jessie comes up with an idea. They had to report this disaster to the people of Kalos and since Malva wasn't going to do that, Team Rocket would do it themselves.
"Hold on a minute. I've got an idea!" Jessie says
Jessie runs up a few feet and she turns back to face James and Meowth.
"Camera!" Jessie says
"All right." James says
James moves over to the camera and turns it on. aims it at Jessie.
"Ready!" James says
"Go!" Meowth says holding the microphone pole towards Jessie
James sweeps the camera right-to-left, covering footage of the carnage in Lumiose City until he stops at Jessie.
"To anyone who can hear! I'm reporting from Lumiose Stadium. The Kalos League award ceremony was interrupted by a terrible calamity!" Jessie says
Team Rocket's broadcast began appearing on television throughout the Kalos region and on the radio, informing people and Pokémon of the current situation.
"A sudden attack by mysterious creeping vines has left Lumiose City in ruins! What exactly is going on here? Please stay tuned! I, Jessimurrow, will continue broadcasting updates!" Jessie says
(Back in the city)
Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, Alain, and Charizard continue their fight against the Heartless as they try to clear a path up to Mairin.
Draxon strikes down a Neoshadow with a right-downward slash while Roxas cuts through another Neoshadow with a left-uppercut slash. Mew uses Ancient Power, creating a silver orb through it's afterimage and hurls it at three Neoshadows. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt to electrocute five Neoshadows at once while Charizard uses Flamethrower to send the last remaining Heartless ablaze.
"Is that all of them?" Alain asks
"I think so." Ash says
Before the heroes could make their way up to Mairin, a Sludge Bomb strikes the ground infront of them, startling them.
"Alright! Pay attention!" A female voice says
The seven look up and saw that the voice belonged to a Team Flare scientist named Celosia, who stood up on a root with her Drapion, who had launched the Sludge Bomb.
"Hey! I know you! You were hunting Squishy!" Ash exclaims
"How wonderful. You remembered. But today I'm after something different. I'm after you." Celosia says straightening her glasses with her left-hand before pointing down at Ash, Draxon, and Roxas
The heroes were startled by what Celosia said.
"After us?" Ash asks
"What do you mean?" Alain asks
"Lysandre's orders." Celosia says
Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Pikachu, and Mew glance towards Alain with surprised expressions.
"Alain? You know her?" Ash asks
Alain stood silent.
"Alain?" Ash says
"Does he know me? Of course he does. We're colleagues." Celosia says
The heroes were even more surprised when they heard this and they look towards Alain, feeling slightly betrayed.
"What?" Draxon says
"You're working with them?" Ash says
Still, Alain says nothing.
"Lysandre wants to see you now. Which means you're all coming with us." Celosia says
"Fat chance! We're not going anywhere with you!" Draxon yells pointing Soul Calibur up at Celosia
"Yeah!" Roxas says
"Alain, don't listen to her! Let's go!" Ash says
Ash grabs Alain's hand, but he pulls away, refusing to go.
"Alain?" Ash says
Several Team Flare grunts and their Houndours along with Neoshadow Heartless surround the heroes.
"Drapion, Confuse Ray!" Celosia commands
Drapion conjures up six yellow orbs and sends them down towards Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Pikachu, and Mew. The orbs swirl around the young teens and Pokémon and strikes them, rendering them weak. Draxon and Roxas drop their Keyblades, causing them to disappear in flashes of blue and white light, and they fall to the ground unconscious.
"A-Alain..." Ash says weakly
Ash falls flat on his stomach and falls unconscious. Pikachu and Mew try their best to fight the effects of the bewitching light, standing over their Trainers to protect them. Pikachu stood next to Ash with electricity sparking from it's red cheeks while Mew floated over Draxon and Roxas, spreading it's paws out in a defensive stance.
"Aw. Look who loves their Trainers." Celosia mocks
Unable to fight off the confusion, Pikachu and Mew finally fall unconscious alongside their friends.
"Grab them!" Celosia commands
While the grunts move to place round restraint devices on the heroes, Alain looks away in anger and guilt.

Back with Team Rocket, Jessie continues with her broadcast.
"This is Jessimurrow reporting to you live from Lumiose Stadium. You can see the massive damage to Lumiose City."
Meowth was observing their broadcast from their helicopter when the screen goes static and changes to show Team Flare's symbol.
"This is weird." Meowth says
Meowth leans out of the helicopter and calls out to Jessie and James.
"Hey! Something's wrong!" Meowth says

In another part of Lumiose City, Sawyer, Tierno, Shauna, and Trevor were now in the Pokemon Center, helping a group of people and Pokémon prepare to evacuate when their eyes were drawn to the television as Lysandre appears on the broadcast, delivering his message to the world.
"To my beloved Kalos region and the entire world: I am Lysandre. Team Flare and the Heartless are with me to do my bidding."
Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie were running through the streets of the city when they stopped and saw Lysandre's broadcast.
"I know him!" Clemont exclaims
Mairin was running in another part of the city when she too saw Lysandre on a tri-screen monitor.
"I have an announcement." Lysandre says
"Lysandre!" Mairin gasps
"We are here to rebuild the world into a place of pure beauty and peace. Team Flare's purpose is to transform our world into an exquisite example of creation." Lysandre announces
The screen changes to show Z-2 on Prism Tower.
"This is Zygarde, the Order Pokémon. One who will preside over the new order of the Kalos region. As leaders of this new order, we have decided to join forces with this powerful guardian of creation. Zygarde is angry with the behavior of both people and Pokémon. The discipline of this world has been lost. Humanity is out of control. We have forgotten how to share this world, leaving violence and theft to spread unchecked. Therefore, we must reduce the number of beings on this planet. Only those who possess a strong will shall be welcomed into the new future. We of Team Flare, along with the fury of Zygarde, will be the ones who will pass on judgement!" Lysandre announces
The screen changes back to show Lysandre. The broadcast was seen on every television, smart phone, and tablet, and was heard through every radio throughout the Pokémon world. Even the Gym Leaders of the Kalos region were watching the broadcast.
"The new order will do away the chaos of the world and bring about the glorious future we desire! Rejoice! And let us welcome an age of prosperity!" Lysandre announces
With that, the broadcast ends with a static screen. Mairin stares up at the screen, feeling betrayed. Everything she believed Lysandre to be was wrong.
"But why?" Mairin asks
"Mairin?" A voice calls
Mairin turns around to see a male Team Flare grunt standing infront of him.
"We have orders from Lysandre to bring you to him right away." The grunt says
"So, you're the bad guys, too!" Mairin says
"No. We are doing this for the cause of world peace." The grunt says
The grunt reaches to grab Mairin, but a hand stops him. It was Prof. Sycamore.
"Forcing anyone to do something against their will is wrong." Prof. Sycamore says
The grunt pulls his hand free and backs away.
"Stay out of this!" The grunt says
Mairin moves over to Sycamore's side and blows a raspberry at the grunt. Angry with Sycamore's interruption, the grunt takes out a Pokéball and sends out his Pokémon.
"Skorupi, Poison Sting!" The grunt says
Skorupi is released from it's Pokéball and flicks it's tail, launching multiple purple needles down at the young girl and Pokémon Researcher. Prof. Sycamore takes out his Pokéball and sends out his Pokémon.
"Garchomp! Dragon Claw!" Prof. Sycamore says
Garchomp is brought out of it's Pokéball and it swipes it's claws to negate the attack, creating a smoke cloud. When the smoke clears, Prof. Sycamore, Mairin, and Garchomp were gone.
(Moments later)
Once they were safely away from the Team Flare grunt, Prof. Sycamore and Mairin stop to catch their breath.
"Are you alright?" Prof. Sycamore asks
"I am. Thanks to you, professor. But what about Alain?" Mairin says
"You saw him?" Prof. Sycamore asks
"That's right! He was with Ash and two other boys." Mairin says
"Two boys? What do you mean?" Prof. Sycamore asks
"Well, they both were fighting those Heartless creatures with key-shaped swords. They also had a Pokémon with them. I think it was Mew?" Mairin says
Prof. Sycamore stares at Mairin with widened eyes. Key-shaped swords? Mew? There was only one person Prof. Sycamore knew who had both.
"Draxon?! He's here?!" Prof. Sycamore exclaims
The Pokémon Researcher looks out towards Prism Tower, thinking that more than likely Draxon would be heading there with Ash and Alain.
"Is he someone you know?" Mairin asks
"We need to head to Prism Tower now. Stay close." Prof. Sycamore says
And so, Prof. Sycamore and Mairin set out for Prism Tower.
(Later that evening)
The sky was now orange as the sun was now starting to set on the horizon. Alain was now at Prism Tower, being led up to the lab where Z-2 had been released by a Team Flare scientist. There waiting for him was Xerosic.
"Hello, Alain. Lysandre's expecting you." Xerosic says
"What about Zygarde? Why did you involve Ash and his friends?!" Alain asks
"Lysandre will soon give you all the details." Xerosic says
Xerosic led Alain further up Prism Tower to the roof where Lysandre and Z-2 were. They step out of an elevator and approach Lysandre as he stares out at Lumiose City.
"Lysandre!" Alain calls
"There you are, Alain." Lysandre says
The Team Flare Leader gestures his right-hand to the ruined city.
"What do you think? Isn't it exquisite? Thanks to you, the system is complete." Lysandre says
"But, wait. It isn't..." Alain says
"The world will be at peace just as I've been working towards." Lysandre says
During the conversation between Lysandre and Alain, Squishy arrives at Prism Tower and runs up along the roots on the tower, heading up to the top.
"Isn't it beautiful? All of the ugliness is slowly disappearing." Lysandre says
After staring out at the city, Lysandre turns back towards Alain.
"Don't you see? Zygarde represents all of our anger and rage." Lysandre says
"You're destroying the city, hurting innocent people, and using the Heartless! Is this what you really think world peace is about? You said you were protecting us!" Alain asks
"I am. I'm protecting only those that have been chosen for the new world." Lysandre says
At that moment, Squishy reaches the top of the tower, gaining Z-2's attention, as well as Lysandre's and Alain's.
"What is it? Aren't you able to hear my voice?" Squishy asks
Z-2 just stares at Squishy silently.
"Z-1, you're here." Lysandre says
(Meanwhile)
In the city, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie were still making their way towards Prism Tower, but the roots were hindering their progress. They used Luxray and Braixen to help clear the way, using Swift and Flamethrower, but their attacks did little to the roots.
"It's no use. The roots are too strong!" Clemont says
Suddenly, three Neoshadows emerge behind the trio, much to their shock.
"Oh no! Heartless!" Serena exclaims
The Neoshadows leap forward at the trio while they scream. Just before the Heartless could reach them, the dark creatures were vaporized by a Thunderbolt. Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie look ahead of them to see that the attack came from Heliolisk and Clembot.
"Clembot!" Clemont exclaims
"Yes! Yours truly, at your service!" Clembot says
"Lisk!" Heliolisk says
"Thanks a lot, Heliolisk." Bonnie says
"If my master is in a jam, I'll always be there to help!" Clembot says
"Great! We need to get to Prism Tower!" Clemont says
"Right away!" Clembot says
Before the group could proceed onwards, another Neoshadow leaps up from a dark portal in the ground to attack, catching them by surprise again. But then, Mega Blaziken jumps in with a flying Blaze Kick, destroying the Heartless.
"That was close, young ones." A voice says
The heroes look over towards left-side to see Blaziken Mask, standing on the nearby rooftops.
"Blaziken Mask!" Serena and Bonnie exclaim in surprise
The mysterious vigilante jumps down to the group.
"I'm here now, so all of you can relax." Blaziken Mask says
"Blaziken Mask, I think Prism Tower is the source of all this trouble! If you can go and help, maybe you can save Lumiose City!" Clemont says
"Understood! Leave it to me! You and the others seek safety!" Blaziken Mask says
The masked hero walks past the group, heading for Prism Tower until Clemont stops him.
"But wait! That's where my Gym is!" Clemont says
"And Squishy, too!" Bonnie says
"You'd do best to stay away from that place. Who knows what awaits there. It could be dangerous." Blaziken Mask says
"But Squishy's my dear little friend!" Bonnie says
"And I can't just abandon the Lumiose Gym! I have precious memories there! If I don't do something, I'll regret it forever!" Clemont says
"Please!" Bonnie begs
"Let us go, too!" Serena says
"I understand. I'll allow you to follow me. But at any sign of danger, you have to turn back." Blaziken Mask says
"Right!" Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie say in unison
(Meanwhile)
Back at Prism Tower, Squishy tries desperately to get through to Z-2.
"Wake up! Please!" Squishy says
In response, Z-2 uses Dragon Pulse, launching a dark red beam of draconic energy at Squishy while it uses the same attack, firing a colorful beam to defend itself. Z-2's attack overpowers Squishy's Dragon Pulse, sending it flying off the tower, causing it to revert back to it's Core Form.
(Meanwhile)
As the group were making their way towards Prism Tower, Bonnie suddenly stops as she felt what happened to Squishy.
"Bonnie?" Clemont says confused as to why his younger sister stopped
"It's Squishy..." Bonnie says
"What's wrong?" Serena asks
"Squishy's in a lot of pain! We've gotta hurry!" Bonnie says
"Almost there! Come on!" Blaziken Mask says
Now moving faster, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, and Blaziken Mask continue heading for Prism Tower.

On Prism Tower, Alain continues his confrontation with Lysandre.
"Lysandre, you said it yourself. You had to be strong to protect the world. Is this what you meant by that?" Alain asks
"You speak of the power to protect. Just what do you want to protect in the first place? A dark tomorrow that is worse than today?" Lysandre asks
A Team Flare grunt speaks to Lysandre through the tower speakers.
"All preparations are complete." A grunt reports
"Excellent. Bring them out." Lysandre says pleased
Alain looks up and was shocked to see Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Pikachu, Mew, Greninja, Goodra, Talonflame, Hawlucha, and Noivern cuffed with strange devices, hovering in mid-air high above him.
(Meanwhile)
Down on the ground, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, and Blaziken Mask finally arrive at Prism Tower.
"This is... horrible!" Clemont exclaims
"Where's Squishy?" Bonnie asks
"First, we secure the entrance. Blaziken, use Flamethrower!" Blaziken Mask says
Mega Blaziken was about to use it's attack when a Dark Pulse strike it, surprising everyone.
"Blaziken!" Blaziken Mask exclaims
"Not so fast!" A female voice says
The group looks up and they saw two Team Flare scientists, Aliana and Bryony standing high above them on a root with Druddigon, who had launched the Dark Pulse, and Bryony's Liepard.
"Sorry, but there's no way you're getting past us." Aliana says
"This area is off-limits to outsiders!" Bryony says
(Meanwhile)
Back up on the tower, Ash was the first to awaken and he found himself restrained.
"Huh? What am I doing like this?" Ash asks
Ash tries to free himself, but to no avail. Pikachu soon wakes up, catching Ash's attention.
"Pikachu!" Ash exclaims
Ash looks over to his left and right to see the rest of his Pokémon restrained as they wake up as well. He then looks over to his right and saw Draxon, Roxas, and Mew, still unconscious hovering next to Goodra.
"Draxon! Roxas! Wake up!" Ash exclaims
"Mmm... Uh..." Draxon groans
Draxon soon awakens followed by Roxas and Mew.
"Ash." Draxon says
"Are you guys alright?" Ash asks
Draxon looks around at the devices restraining his hands and feet.
"Other than being cuffed and restrained, yeah. We're okay." Draxon says
"Uh... What's going on?" Roxas asks
"Hello, Ash, Draxon, Roxas." Lysandre says
The three teens look down towards Lysandre and Alain.
"Lysandre! Alain! What's going on? Let us go!" Ash exclaims
"Forgive me for your regrettably rough treatment, but I cannot release you." Lysandre says
Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Pikachu, and Mew look over to their right and they saw Z-2 standing nearby.
"Zygarde!" Ash exclaims
The five then glance back down towards Lysandre and Alain.
"Lysandre! What's this about?" Draxon asks
"I'm glad you asked, Draxon. You and your friends have been chosen to be welcomed into the new world." Lysandre says
"How do you my name?" Draxon asks
"I have my sources. In fact, I know much about you, Draxon. Your friends, Roxas, Xion. Even Mew, of course. I'm actually quite astonished that such a Legendary Pokémon like Mew has taken a particular shine to you. You know, I was quite anxious to meet someone as special as you. And if I'm not mistaken, you and Roxas are Keyblade Wielders, are you not?" Lysandre says
Draxon, Roxas, Ash, and the Pokémon gasp and their eyes widened in shock. Alain was surprised as well.
"Pika!" Pikachu gasps
"Mew!" Mew exclaims
"How'd you know that Draxon and Roxas are Keyblade Wielders?" Ash asks
Lysandre turns away and gazes out into the ruined city.
"Let's just say I've met a very special friend who's told me much about the Keyblade and it's fascinating powers. He will make his presence known soon enough." Lysandre says
The Team Flare Leader closes his eyes as he thought about the Keyblade.
"The Keyblade... Such a marvelous weapon. It's ancient power far surpass anything that the Pokémon of this world are capable of." Lysandre says
Lysandre opens his eyes and looks up at Z-2.
"Even Legendary Pokémon like Zygarde have come to respect the Keyblade's tremendous power. You know, I've had some intriguing theories as to the origin of Mega Evolution. I've often wondered if Mega Evolution energy came from the Keyblade? Or perhaps the energy came from something else? Something far greater?" Lysandre says
Lysandre looks back over his left-shoulder towards the two Keyblade Wielders.
"Like Kingdom Hearts?" Lysandre says
Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Pikachu, and Mew stared down at Lysandre with such shock in their face. They were practically speechless upon hearing mention of Kingdom Hearts. Even Alain was surprised by Lysandre's words. Could the Keyblade really be something that powerful? More than Mega Evolution?
(Meanwhile)
Down on the ground, Serena, Clemont, Bonnie, and Blaziken Mask make their stand against Aliana and Bryony.
"Well, I think you're the ones who should be leaving! This is my Gym! I have the right to be here!" Clemont yells
"So, Team Flare's behind all this." Serena says
"The situation seems to be much more serious than I imagined." Blaziken Mask says
Suddenly, a green light shines brightly to the left of the group, catching everyone's attention.
"It's Squishy!" Bonnie exclaims
Squishy floats up in the air and it's entire body glows with green light, absorbing Zygarde cells into it's body as it transforms into it's 50% serpent form like Z-2.
"So Squishy is... Zygarde!" Ash exclaims
"No way!" Serena exclaims
"That's unbelievable!" Clemont exclaims
"Well, whaddya know?" Aliana says
"Zygarde has appeared just as Lysandre said it would." Bryony says
Z-2 jumps off the tower and descends down towards Squishy to face it in battle.
"If you will not listen to me, I will use force! Ignorant fool!" Squishy warns
Everyone watches as the two Zygarde have a stand-off. One determined to save the world. The other to destroy it. All eyes were drawn to the two large Pokémon as they prepared to face each other in battle. But while the chaos in the city was already at it's peak, little did all those in Lumiose City know that the true evil behind this crisis was about to show it's face.
Author's Note: After leaving Organization XIII, Draxon, Roxas, and Mew arrive in Lumiose City, just in time for Ash' final match in the Kalos League against Alain. Our heroes watch the match with hopes of Ash winning the battle. But in the end, Alain wins the match and becomes the champion of the Kalos League. The Pokémon Heroes meet up with the two Keyblade Wielders later on. Draxon and Roxas explain everything to their friends about their lives as members of the Organization. Their missions. Xion. Kingdom Hearts. Everything. And then, during the Kalos Conference, Team Flare goes on the attack as Zygarde is unleashed upon the world, spreading chaos and destruction throughout Lumiose City. Our heroes lend their support in solving the crisis as they move to stop Team Flare and Zygarde. And to make matters worse, the Heartless are brought into the mix!
