Chunin Exam: 2nd Round-Satsuki

Echoing throughout the plains of the sandy desert were the sounds of a battle, weapons clashing heard from miles away. One lone figure stood surrounded, sandy winds ruffling her long ebony locks of hair, worn in a high elegant ponytail, casting a cool gaze over the number of genins that had her surrounded and smirked. "Nana, don't interfere," Satsuki told her partner. The brunette sitting on top of a boulder did not seem to mind the raven's order.

"Don't worry, Satsuki-chan. I'll stay right here~!" Since their time at the academy, the two had always worked together and were close friends. After graduating, due to the uneven number of graduates, they were a duo instead of a three-person team. After doing a headcount on the number of genins surrounding Satsuki, Nana whistled

"Wow, twenty-two is quite high, but... Even with this number, they are still no match for her." Resting a hand on her cheek, Nana felt excited as she anticipated the rude awakening these foolish people were in for as one should never underestimate their opponent, especially if that opponent was Satsuki.

"Ha, one of the top five prodigy kunoichis of the element nations! It must be my lucky day to have run into the beautiful Uchiha Princess of Konohagakure! I must say, the rumors do not do you justice~!" winked a flirty boy from Iwagakure. Nana narrowed her eyes upon seeing his leering eyes ogling her teammate.

"Hey, back off, ya perv! I was here first, and I'll be the first to defeat her!" yelled a fiesty kunoichi from Kumogakure, who brought along her whole team.

"Wrong. I will be the one to defeat the Uchiha Princess," said a cold voice that belonged to a pretty-boy from Kirigakure, who, like the Kumogakure kunoichi, had brought his team. A chain of voices soon erupted from the large group, and Nana had restrained herself from laughing at the mere fact that these people thought they could easily take out Satsuki, never mind the fact that she was an Uchiha, daughter of the world's two strongest shinobis.

From afar, a burgundy haired Sunagakure kunoichi, the adopted daughter of the Kazekage, watched the scene with calm, calculating eyes. "She's completely outnumbered. No way will she be able to take out that many people in such a short time," said another girl standing beside her dressed in Suna attire, violet hairstyle in a bob.

This year's chunin exams were held at Suna. The task for the second round was to deliver the assigned scrolls given to them at the start of the test to one of three secret temples located in the vast desert. There was also a time limit, which was an hour, and knowing that the dessert could act like a cold, unforgiving maze, one should not waste time.

"This round holds an advantage to us Suna citizens but rough for outsiders. Instead of wasting time picking a fight, it's better to complete the mission. But some people can't control their own arrogance." Standing across from the violet haired Suna kunoichi, this straightforward response came from another girl who was the third member of their team. Having already completed their task for the second round, the three paused to watch the confrontation happening a few miles away.

In various locations, not that far from the scene where Satsuki stood surrounded, three other kunoichis, each from different villages, who had made a name for themselves outside of their homes- reasons for why they were held as prodigies- eyed the scene with close eyes, anticipating the Uchiha Princess's next move.

"Fools."

In the next seconds that transcended, if those from the 4th Shinobi War were to witness Satsuki's fighting prowess, flashes of her great ancestor, Uchiha Madara, would have come to mind. Watching as the girl caught one person by the arm and threw them towards the person who tried to sneak up on her. Flipping and twisting her body as she caught a lightening seal tag in midair and redirected it right back at her opponent.

The girl's moves were flawless and never-ending; each punch and kick glided through the air, holding a grace you'd only see in an Uchiha. The girl's taijutsu had rendered at least half of the large group unconscious before she unleashed the snow-white sword at her side. Performing a full circular slash motion, the ground underneath her feet glowed white and expanded in diameter. Those who should've run had lost their chance as they found themselves paralyzed and caught in the circle.

The raven stabbed her sword into the ground, "Full Moon Counter!" Lightning currents erupted from the glowing circle that resembled a moon. Cries of pain rang out as lightning shot through their bodies before they blacked out.

Standing tall on her feet, Satsuki sheathed her sword, ignoring how the large number of genins from before now all lay at her feet as she shot her cerulean blue eyes towards her partner. "Nana, let's go," ordered Satsuki, dusting herself off. Unaware that her little display had left quite the impression on people. Some were terrified or awed, but certain individuals found themselves itching to do battle with the Uchiha Princess.

Skipping beside her best friends, the young weapon's mistress in training couldn't help but ask, "Ne, Satsuki-chan, don't you think you were a little too hard on them?"

"They are the ones at fault for underestimating me. The only thing I did was deliver justice. Now, concentrate on the task. Do to them we lost a lot of time," said Satsuki, who suddenly disappeared from out of sight as if she was just Hiraishin, but in actuality, it was the level of speed Satsuki possessed. Staring at the empty space of air, Nana pouted her lips.

"Wait for me, Satsuki-chan~!" Just like Satsuki, Nana disappeared from out of sight. The two were nothing but a blur as they raced across the sandy plains, blending in with the wind.
