Day 28 (August 3rd). Tale of Two Stories: We now have seven Yu-Gi-Oh series! What would happen if one of our heroes from Team 5ds happened to meet someone from the past, or perhaps the future? This is the prompt: pick any character from any series to have them meet a character from Yu-Gi-Oh 5ds!

Focus: Judai and Yusei share a moment the night before the WRGP.

Characters: Yusei Fudo. Judai Yuki. Implied Starshipping.

"I thought you were asleep," Judai murmured as he lifted his hand to grip the jacket that clung around his shoulders from where Yusei had draped it. Judai wasn't looking at him. He was glancing up at the night sky, searching for stars he couldn't see thanks to the lights of the city.

Tomorrow was the finals for the World Racing Grand Prix. Tomorrow would decide all of their futures, and whether or not Judai could stay in the timeline. His entire purpose had been to help Yusei…

But now he found it that he didn't want to leave.

"I was," Yusei's voice was low. Judai felt his heart beat faster. Judai couldn't help but peak at Yusei from the corner of his eye. He sucked in a breath. Yusei was in a pair of sweat pants and his normal tank top, his hair mused from laying. He was leaning against the wall to his house, his leg propped up, and his eyes also searching the sky. Judai figured Yusei must have felt his gaze, as he dropped his eyes to meet Judai's. A small smile lit his features, causing Judai to freeze. The jacket was big on Judai but also brought him comfort. Yusei knew that.

Judai smiled back. He let out a small chuckle. He shouldn't be worried. This was Yusei. This was him. They beat Paradox with Yugi Muto. In their own timelines, they've both saved the world more times than they could remember. This should be a cakewalk.

But more so now that they had each other. They had each other's strength and their irreplaceable bond.

Judai lifted and held his hand out to Yusei. Yusei didn't hesitate to reach out, step forward, and take it. He was now standing to Judai's right. Now both of them were staring at the stars they couldn't see but knew were there.

"Our lives change tomorrow," Yusei squeezed Judai's hand.

"Yeah," Judai agreed. "It all ends tomorrow." There was a pause. Judai grinned. "Let's beat this, partner. Once and for all."
