'Another High School Detective!" thought annoyed.

He already had an unpleasant meeting with Hakuba the first time they met. A murder case and now meeting another detective his age he was hoping that the same thing would not happen to them. He did not anyone else to be murder. And he did not want someone to be murdered in front of his eyes and be unable to do anything about. This was a case that he was going to solve and no one was going to be murdered this time around.

Over time he had become accustomed to Hakuba. Almost to a degree that he could call him a friend (they were not on first name bases that was reserved to a few people) as they would text each other after solving a case or two. Hakuba liked to mainly keep in contact when it mainly came to Kaitou Kid. Hakuba was obsessed with catching KID that was almost agonising. Although Shinichi enjoyed the case and thrill he would only go after the thief when the occasion called for it. Most when he was invited or when Sonoko would force him into it. Hakuba had dropped a few hints that he in fact knew who the thief truly was.

Thought of contacting Hakuba for help had crossed his mind. But this could be seen as calling the police for help and he could not take that risk.

Shinichi never in his life met someone with such a thick Osakan accent in his life. The teen wore his accent with pride and was proud of it. It was rather easy to understand, although some of their words had different meaning.

As well someone as loud that it just seemed natural to this person he was currently stuck with. The teen already ranted that he had solved more cases than he had. But this was only because the cases were finding lost cats. A total of 1200 + to be exact. He concluded that it was most likely the cases the same cats would go missing for a couple of hours and be lost. He would find the same cat and add it to his total.

He seemed like a nice of guy, enough that he could trust him. Hattori had told him that it was his friend Kazuha was the one that was currently being unknowingly held against their will. It was easy to conclude that this person was female. She was his childhood friend and the lack of use of using gender descriptions made it clear he had a crush on her. But was far more likely that he was in love with her and was too afraid to admit it. The possibility that he was in denial about his feelings for Kazuha was unclear. This was the exact same situation he once was in.

This just made him smile.

Both teens sat on a bench discussing their current situation and what they both knew. At this time Shinichi could not help but notice the white van going past them and knew it was the next hint the mystery. So, he followed it without saying a word.

"Oi!" shouted Hattori following him.

Both teens ran and did their best to discuss what was happening.

"What's up?"asked Hattori.

"Ski mask…" said Shinichi.

"Gun and the car to escape with," said Shinichi.

Hattori was able to follow Shinichi's train of thought and the conclusion that he as well was now coming to.

"Attack the cash delivery truck!" said Hattori.

They followed the van to a bank where the money was currently being delivered by armed guards.

Shinichi asked a bystander across the street few questions regarding the van and the bank itself. It turned out the van was robbed at gunpoint on April 4th when it was entering the bank, the moment, the money was being delivered. The crime happened around the same time it was now. It was done by two men in black masks. They used guns and escaped in a white car. One of the robbers had shot on of the unarmed bankers. Unfortunately, the man was killed instantly.

"You boys today will be the worst day of your lives…"

"You should go home and stay in bed"

The bystander was psychic.

Shinichi confidentially just said, "Yeah, well do that…"

Shinichi paused for a moment "After we turn it into the best day of our lives"

"Thanks" said Hattori.

And both of them left.

They crossed the street and Shinichi was surprised the moment he was grabbed by someone coming out of a car.

"I have been looking for you!"

It was the old man/Mouri Kogoro. He was able to get out of jail after all.

"Now is not the time to fight" said Hattori.

It had taken the old man seconds to realise that Hattori was even standing there.

"Why is brat Osaka boy here?" said Kogoro.

Kogoro had let go of him in that moment.

"The same reason you are" said Hattori showing him his tracker.

And then Inspector Megure appeared with other detectives from his police force. This was including detective Yokomizo.

Megure wanted to know what was truly happening. He wanted "the real story."

Mouri had taken Shinichi's phone. He was having a conversation with the enemy and by the way Mouri reacted to it was not going well. It was clear that they were being watched as the enemy was hacking into cameras in their location. The enemy was witnessing them talking to the police and was making the wrong assumptions. This made it clear they could be seen but the enemy was not or unable to listen in on them.

"Idiot, idiot incompetent police should all disappear!" announced the robot.

Detective Yokomizo was the type of person that is stern, impatient and is easily hot-headed when he is insulted, so this immediately grabbed his attention.

"Dan it, what it up with this robot" said detective Yokomizo.

"Idiot, idiot incompetent police should all disappear!" announced the robot on repeat.

The robot was on a loop antagonising detective Yokomizo so much that the detective was going to confront the robot.

"Hey isn't that dangerous?" said Hattori.

Then Shinichi realised what was happened and what was about to go down.

"Watch out, get away from that robot!" shouted Shinichi.

"It will explode!" Shinichi alerted the detective, enabling the detective to stop in his tracks.

"10 seconds to explosion!" said the robot.

Then it started to count down from 10 to 1. Parents were grabbing their children and running away with them. Everyone was running away from cover, all except from one little boy that seemed interested in what the robot had to say.

"Dammit" said detective Yokomizo.

Within the last couple of seconds, the detective was able to understand what was about to happen and had to get the boy to safety.

BANG

There was a bombing the robot and it exploded after the countdown. Detective Yokomizo was just able to get the boy to safety and get injured in the aftermath of the explosion itself. The man was now unconscious with an ambulance being called.

The call for the other end made it clear that this was just a warning shot and that it could get much worse. That it will get worse if they talk to the police much further.

Megure and Kogoro then argued. This was just for show as Kogoro able to pass on a message to Megure to what was going on. They were able to split from the police and get on with the case at hand.

The two teen detective told Kogoro the information that they were able to gather. Including about the robbery and on the same date that KID had stolen a diamond from the Miyama Art Museum.

Kogoro had decided to go on the case alone.

Shinichi and Hattori started to talk about the hints and clues that they were given.

This led them to Yokohama Ocean University.

"Cry, cry, cry" Hattori repeated aloud.

Both the High School Detectives were standing at the outdoor boards reading to see if they could get the information that they needed. They looked for the information that would with the clue.

"Maybe it is an abbreviation of something," said Hattori.

But there was nothing.

"Maybe clubs?" said Shinichi thoughtfully.

Or anything that is across those lines.

"Yokohama Crime Investigation," said a male teen voice.

"Crime Research of Yokohama" said Hakuba.

Shinichi remembered Hakuba telling him about a case that he ran into other detectives around their age. And a case of a reckless hot headed idiot that ruined a crime scene and almost any potential clues and evidence. And the guy was just lucky that he managed to solve the case.

"You? Ya bastard" screamed Hattori.

And that easily confirmed his conclusion.

Shinichi's eyes caught a glimpse of something on Hakuba's wrist.

"We all share the same fate," said Hakuba.

"Fate?" said Hattori confused.

Hakuba showed the detective the similar device that was on his wrist.

"An acquaintance of mine is also at Miracle Land. Well let's talk while we walk," said Hakuba.

"Wasting time is a crime of its own" said Hakuba.

They stood at the door.

"Oi is anybody in there?"

"I am coming in,"

Hattori said knocking without waiting for an answer.

They searched the room for clues. There were several books and pictures surrounding the room. The room was rather small and easy to search.

"Oi Kudo look at these pictures," said Hattori.

They looked at the pictures. Then there small pictures on the board and above that were framed of each member the club in their own individual photos. But one was missing by the small that was left.

"We should take pictures of these" said Hakuba.

Hattori was about to take picture until his phone rang.

"The Client?" said Shinichi.

"Yeah!" said Hattori and put the phone onto speaker.

It was now on speaker so they all could hear it. Hakuba seemed a little too close for his comfort and easily swayed.

"What?" demanded Hattori.

There was a moment of pause until 'The Client' spoke.

"You're more impressive than I thought Hattori Heiji. You got that just out of,'You cry.' I am surprised by you guys.

"Oi! Whateva it you need me tae solve this case. Why dae yae not make the clues easier?"said Hattori as his voice started to rise.

"If are able to solve it solve it so easily, it would not be so fun?" said The Client.'

"And I am testing you all, your detective skills" said The Client.'

"What?" said Hattori confused.

There was a moment of silence.

"There will be no more hints from now on," said The Client.'

"I'm counting on you, detectives" said The Client.'

The hung was up immediately.

"Oi!" said Hattori as he shook the phone.

"Dam bastard, he hung up" said Hattori annoyed and ticked off.

They were puzzled on what they could do now.

And then two college students entered the room. It was a young male and female that obviously belonged to the club.

"Do you need something?" asked the male.

Hattori got nervous.

"Ah, we were just leaving…" Said Hattori.

Hattori looked like he did not know what to say in this situation and he was easily going to let something slip. So that was when Hakuba slipped in and took the conversation over.

"We're coming to this University next year, so we're just looking around," said Hakuba

They found out the framed pictures were in fact photos of previous club presidents in chronological order. The third picture that was missing was of a previous president that was expelled. His name was Itoh Suehiko.

Hattori immediately upon hearing this name contacted a policeman in Osaka that he was friendly with. This was similar relationship that Shinichi has with other detectives that he knew in Beika. The detectives name was Ohtaki. Now he was thinking it was more a similar relationship he has with Agasa.

And then the three teens went outside to wait on a phone for the information that they needed.

Hattori was glued to his phone, while Shinichi lounged on a bench reading a newspaper. And Hakuba was doodling on a notepad, trying to work something out that they did not know.

"We,, why don't we go to school cafeteria and get something to eat?" said Hakuba.

"As for me, my brain does not work well on an empty stomach," said Hakuba.

And in that moment Shinichi's suspicions had been confirmed about Hakuba.

"Baka! We're waiting for ae phone call" said Hattori annoyed.

Shinichi obviously had to be the middle man between the pair of these.

Shinichi just watched the batter go back and forth between the both the two of these.

They went to lunch as Hakuba solved something and would only tell them over lunch.

Hattori was not enjoying his meal.

"So, who is this Itoh Suehiko?" asked Shinichi.

Hattori was too confused about the curry he had gotten, even though he thought lunch was not a good idea. While Shinichi just got a drink Hakuba had a cup of coffee.

"On April 4th of this year, Itoh had been placed on a wanted list, as one of the culprits who attacked a cash delivery tuck on Basha Street" said Hakuba.

"I see" said Shinichi.

He knew where this was going.

"That was the reason that picture was taken down," said Shinichi.

"That's not the only interesting point. He owned and managed the Urban Consulting Company after graduating. A murder occurred in the east in the company's office," said Hakuba.

"What?" said Shinichi surprised.

Hakuba lift his coffee to drink "Don't you find that interesting" and he drank his coffee.

Upon hearing this information Hattori was immediately finished his meal and was ready to go and see this office.
