It'd taken entirely too long to arrive.
All Might threw the doors to the USJ open. A crowd of his students had gathered near the exit. They'd surrounded Thirteen and clustered together to shield her from further attacks.
"All Might!" The panicked cry of his hero name caused his teeth to gnash together.
He'd been so foolish. If he'd simply conserved his strength this morning then none of them would've had to fight.
His gaze slid towards Thirteen's shredded uniform.
This was his fault.
The man stepped towards the crest of the stairway. It gave him just enough of a vantage point to survey the full extent of the chaos.
Thus far the students had been scattered. They seemed to be holding their own quite well but there were two he was most worried about.
All Might grasped at the tie around his neck. With a sharp yank, he ripped it from himself and glowered down at the enemies before him.
"I am here!" He announced to his terrified class.
He would reassure them. Then he would take care of the fools who'd chosen to target them.
Cobalt eyes narrowed at the group below.
Starting now, he would do what he should've from the very beginning.
All Might launched himself into the fray.
He would protect his students.
Every last one of them.
