Mal'dar
Mal'dar laid on the rooftop of a skyscraper, his gaze locked onto Rose Tower. He ducked down as a police speeder sped overhead flying towards Rose Tower, several were already circling it. It was time to wait.
By the time morning came only two police speeders remained, and it had been parked beside a balcony on the ambassador's room for the entire time. Mal'dar crawled on the roof, keeping his body as low to ground as possible. He reached the edge of the skyscraper and took in the distance nodding to himself. He activated his comlink, it beeped as it tried to connect with Rimi's.
Rimi's voice came through and spoke into his helmet, "Mal'dar are you ok?"
"Yeah," said Mal'dar, "I'm getting ready to make my move, I'll send you a signal when I'm ready to be picked up".
"Ok, don't take long, and don't do anything crazy".
"If I'm not back by the end of the day leave, and crazy is required for quiet," said Mal'dar and he ended the call.
Then he activated his jetpack.
He rocketed towards the police speeder, the wind pushing against him. He was nearing the speeder, it wasn't far now. Mal'dar deactivated his jetpack. His momentum carried him forward and he fired his cable at the back police speeder. He began to plummet. The cable connected and instantly went taunt. Mal'dar came to complete stop and there was a loud pop as his arm was pulled out of its socket. Mal'dar roared in pain, "Haar'chak!" he cursed.
He swallowed his screams of pain and grasped the cable with his good arm. He clenched his teeth and tightened his muscles and he pulled himself up with his good arm. He grabbed the cable with his booted feet and swiftly pushed his arm into its socket with his good arm. Mal'dar growled with pain and grasped the cable with both hands. He moved the cable from his gauntlet to his belt and began to climb. He was nearly to the bottom of the police speeder when he slipped. He tightened his grip on the cable as he slid down it. He felt the cable burn through his gloves and slice into his hands.
Mal'dar cursed and began to climb again. He reached the bottom of the speeder and hugged himself against it, every muscle in his body throbbing with pain. Mal'dar glanced down, it was very, very, far. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, hopefully, they wouldn't be here much longer.
The ambassador smiled at the police droids, "Is now a good time for us to leave, I have an appointment".
The two police droids nodded, "Yes, though we must insist on coming with you".
"You don't have to," said the ambassador.
"It is no trouble mam," said the police droid.
The ambassador sighed, "Ok, well my pilot will fly me to the senate building, you can follow".
"Thank you," said the police droids and they walked to their speeders.
The speeder sagged as the police droid sat in it, and Mal'dar shook himself, it was showtime. The speeder zoomed towards the hanger, and Mal'dar tightened his grip, gritting his teeth as he did.
"My speeder is lagging," commented the police droid into his com.
"Yes, take it for an inspection after this assignment," responded the other.
"Yes," said the original one.
Mal'dar sighed, it's a good thing police droids are dumb he thought.
The speeder came to a sudden halt and Mal'dar's hand covered his helmet so it didn't fly off. He heard another speeder activate and the ambassador's senator glided out of the hanger. They followed her. He glanced to see where they were going, it was a beeline for the senate building.
Mal'dar breathed deeply, here we go. He grasped the police droid's ankle and wrenched the droid. The droid was pulled from the seat of the speeder and Mal'dar swung himself into the seat.
There was quite a bit of space between him and the other police speeder which was staying a few yards behind the ambassador. Mal'dar fired, the guns on the speeders rapidly sending blue blasts streaking through the air. The blast struck the other police speeder which immediately began trailing smoke. The droid pulled the brakes and pulled alongside Mal'dar his siren blaring, "Pull over!" commanded the droid.
Mal'dar drew a pistol and shot the droid, its speeder immediately going into a deadfall. Mal'dar holstered the pistol and hit the accelerator. He shot forward closing the space between him and the ambassador's speeder closing rapidly. Her speeder didn't even have weapons. Mal'dar opened fire.
The ambassador's speeder plummeted towards the senate building, Mal'dar following behind her.
The ambassador's speeder skidded along a landing pad a trail of sparks and smoke. Senate Commando ran out and fired their rifles at Mal'dar who fired back with the speeder. Mal'dar missed them and scowled. He pushed the accelerator all the way and leapt out of the speeder activating his jetpack.
The speeder slammed into the senate commando like a massive missile and it exploded rocking everything on the landing pad.
Mal'dar landed on the landing pad, and he walked through the smoke towards the ambassador. She was crawling out of what was left of her speeder. Her face was covered in scars, and one of her arms hung at an unnatural angle.
Mal'dar stood over her and unclasped the lightsaber from his belt.
The ambassador looked up at him defiantly, "You won't make it out of here".
Mal'dar activated the lightsaber, "I'll find out, but you won't". He raised the lightsaber.
A gunship pulled up to the landing pad and four figures jumped out. Tyvral and Obi-Wan activated their lightsabers while Kart and Cody aimed their blasters at him.
"Put down the lightsaber," said Obi-Wan twirling his lightsaber and pointing two fingers at Mal'dar.
Mal'dar looked at them, the Sshitivian and the clone in turquoise armor he recognized from Abrion Major. He looked at them and deactivated the lightsaber. "I'm going to toss it over," he proclaimed to them. He reached for the lightsaber, which was in his right hand, with his left. He shifted slightly, adjusting his position. He rapidly pressed a button on his right gauntlet and a blast shot from it. The yellow blast flew through the air and struck the ambassador in the temple.
The clones instantly opened fired and Mal'dar leapt behind the crashed speeder. He activated the lightsaber and drew a pistol. He fired at clones who had taken cover.
Obi-Wan leapt over the downed speeder and brought his lightsaber down at Mal'dar. Mal'dar barley dodged the strike and he stabbed at Obi-Wan who easily parried it. Obi-Wan threw up his hand and Mal'dar flew through the air and struck the ground, his weapons laying on the ground several feet away. He felt his jetpack twitching, he rose to ground, pulled it off his back, and threw it at Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan slid under the jetpack. Mal'dar fired a cable which grabbed his lightsaber, he pulled it towards him.
Tyvral leapt through the air and sliced through the cable. He and Obi-Wan stood in front of Mal'dar, "Give up," Tyvral snarled.
Mal'dar narrowed his gaze at Tyvral, "A Mandalorian never surrenders!" He activated his flamethrower and sprayed it at the Jedi.
Tyvral threw up his hands and blasted the flamed back at Mal'dar. They struck Mal'dar and blew him backwards. He struck the ground, breath driven from his body.
Tyvral and Obi-Wan walked towards him.
Mal'dar hurriedly activated his com, "Rimi, run!"
"Mal'dar where-", she started but Mal'dar ended the transmission. He drew a blaster but Obi-Wan waved his hand and the blaster flew out of his hand.
Mal'dar drew a knife and slashed at Tyvral who swayed and dodged it. Tyvral slapped his hand and the sliced flesh from the cable made itself heard. Mal'dar roared in pain and clumsily swung at Tyvral.
Tyvral spun and held him from behind, "Kart!" he yelled.
Kart fired a stun shot and it slammed into Mal'dar who went limp in Tyvral's grip. Obi-Wan examined the stunned figure and looked at Tyvral, "Well it appears that we have an interrogation to do".
