Hidden Tales From The Chamber of Secrets - 89 - Stargazers

Somehow, the Weasley Twins' prank had never gone away. When albus stepped out of his office, he was still followed by the music. The lemon drop army had disappeared but the music persisted.

It had started out with the Imperial March, which he didn't know (at first), and Night on Bare Mountain which had ... connotations.

Like most magic that hung around after it was supposed to have expired, it had morphed and mutated, and Albus' peregrinations through the castle were accompanied by such pieces as Entry of The Gladiators, highlights from Rigoletto and Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme of Greensleeves. All played at ear-shattering volume.

Right now, it seemed to be Holst, which seemed somewhat appropriate for a a warm evening after a scorching hot August day.

The stars were coming out and twilight was giving way to night in Albus' office. Time, Albus thought, to go and close the main doors for the night. As he passed into the entrance hall, the first movement of Holst's Planet Suite began, at full volume.

Deep in the Forbidden Forest, Magorian looked down from the skies toward Bane and, nodding sagely, said, "Mars is loud tonight".
