No real trigger warnings. A bit of swearing a little bit of panicking but nothing major. As always take care of yourselves and thank you for reading.

"Hello again my lovelies, I have returned. What festivities are we up to today?" Roman said as he walked through the entrance into the kitchen.

After lunch that day Roman apparently had an idea he wanted to work on immediately in the imagination and had stepped out for a while. When he returned he was a bit surprised to see that none of them had gone their own ways or even left the room he last saw them in.

"Hey Ro-Ro! Wanna join us? We'll be icing cupcakes soon," Patton chirped, bouncing where he stood making frosting from scratch.

"That sounds wonderful, Heart. I'd love to join you," Roman replied walking up behind him to give him a hug around the back.

Patton let out a surprised squeak when Roman pressed a kiss to his neck. Roman chuckled at the blushing expression on his face, giving him a second kiss on the temple before he moved over to Logan who was sitting at the table reading a book called "The Circular Staircase". He draped himself over Logan's shoulders kissing the top of his head.

"Good book?" Roman asked.

"Enjoyable, although I still prefer 'The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes'," Logan replied.

Roman gave a hum of acknowledgement before moving on to visit his final boyfriend who was cleaning the baking residue off the counters for Patton. He snuck up behind him to give him a hug but was stopped by a finger to the forehead. Virgil turned around and smirked up at him.

"You don't know how tempted I was to smack you with this dirty rag," Virgil said.

Roman took a step back holding his hands up in defense.

"Thank you for not doing that," Roman chuckled nervously.

Virgil let out a soft snort and nodded for Roman to come join him as he finished washing the counter.

"What's up with the lovey attitude?" Virgil asked.

"Do I need an excuse?" Roman asked leaning against the clean part of the counter.

"No, I'm just wondering what urgent business you needed to take care of that put you in this sort of mood," Virgil replied, raising a brow.

"Just writing out and finalizing a few things that I want to do in the near future," Roman said with an impish expression. "The rest is a surprise."

Virgil rolled his eyes and put down the rag, having finished his task.

"You and your surprises," Virgil chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Roman's shoulders.

Roman leaned down and gave Virgil a peck on the forehead.

"You know you love it," Roman replied, cupping Virgil's face lovingly.

"Perhaps," The timer went off beside them and Virgil was forced to squirm out from between Roman and the counter. "Give me a sec."

Virgil scooted away and put on a pair of red oven mitts. He pulled open the oven and removed a tray of a dozen cupcakes.

"Can you put those in the fridge to cool a bit while I finish mixing the colors? The frosting will stick better that way," Patton called over.

Virgil gave a nod and did as he was instructed before heading over to Patton to see what he was up to. Patton had separated the frosting into different bags and added drops of colored food dye into them.

"Need some help?" Virgil asked.

"Sure, you can help mix the colors in if you want," Patton replied.

Virgil picked up the closest bag and began massaging the bag with his fingers, working in the food coloring until it was stained a pleasant shade of pastel pink. He switched the bags in his hand and helped Patton work in the variety of other colors he was preparing. Once they were done Patton snipped small holes in the corner of the bags and brought them over to the table while Virgil grabbed the now cooled cupcakes and set them on the table. They divided them up into four groups of three for everyone to decorate. Logan went with the simplest concept out of all of them. All of his were a uniform light brown color, iced with perfect swirls as if they had been professionally done. Patton's were far messier in comparison. He chose to go with a more pastel style. Each of his cupcakes were a different color, one light blue, one pastel pink, and one sunshine yellow. The frosting was a bit messy and there was a lot more of it on his when compared to Logan's. He had also broken into his stash of sprinkles and dumped fun shaped rainbow sprinkles on them. Roman had gone for a more complicated design for each of his cupcakes, one he had layered with his own theme colors of red white and gold . Another was an upwards spiral changing to make a rainbow. The final cupcake he got a new bag and mixed several frostings to make a galaxy patterned cupcake which he then picked out a few white star shaped sprinkles and dusted them on top of it. Virgil's weren't very complicated or professional, they were similar to Patton's instead but not as over the top. He had left the frosting swirl relatively short on all of them and each of them was a different color, red, indigo, and sky blue.

"Want some sprinkles, Kitten?" Patton asked, shaking the cup of sprinkles.

Virgil hesitated a moment before giving a nod. He poured a bit out on his hand and spread what he took out over his cupcakes trying to keep from making them too complicated. He still thought they were charming. It was fun making cupcakes based on Patton's random, slightly more productive, urge to deal with his memories. However it did leave them with one problem. Patton had been a bit too overzealous and made way too much frosting for only a dozen cupcakes.

"Well now what do we do with all of the extra icing?" Virgil asked, looking at the over abundance of frosting still littering the table.

"Store it for the next time Patton decides to bake."

"Eat it."

Patton and Logan looked at each other after they both spoke at the same time.

"We are not eating all of it. That is incredibly unhealthy Patton. Not to mention the sugar high you know you will get and how that will affect Thomas," Logan scolded.

Patton's lower lip stuck out as he looked up at Logan pleadingly.

"We all know how adorable you are Patton, that is not going to change my opinion on this matter," Logan said, looking away to avoid being swayed.

"Please? Can't we at least eat a little?" Patton pleaded, a whine creeping into his voice.

"Please Logan?" Virgil asked, mimicking Patton's pout.

"Not you too!" Logan cried, burying his head in his hands.

"Aww come on Star, hummer them. Besides, I think I have an idea for the frosting myself," Roman said with a mischievous grin.

He picked up the mostly unused orange frosting and turned to Virgil, leaving a dollop on his nose. Virgil sat there stunned for a moment, his expression blank as he tried to process what had happened. Across the table Patton was trying to hide his growing smile and laughter while Logan buried his face deeper in his hands, letting out a frustrated groan.

"Roman," Virgil said after taking a deep breath.

"Yes my love?" Roman replied innocently.

"I'm going to fucking kill you," Virgil replied, a bright smile on his face as he grabbed the equally full mint green frosting.

Roman and Virgil all but threw themselves out of their chairs, starting a game they could only label frosting tag. Patton laughed, getting into the spirit, grabbing onto the pink frosting and dotting it along Logan's knuckles. Logan looked up over his hands giving Patton a long, serious look.

"Logie?" Patton asked nervously.

Logan grabbed hold of Patton and pulled him in. Logan removed the frosting bag from Patton's hands and turned it on him dotting it on his lips. Patton blinked at him for a moment before the corners of his lips curled upwards. He scooped a bit of the frosting off of Logan's knuckles and dotted it on Logan's lips in retaliation. He then sucked in his own lips to eat the frosting.

"Yummy, thanks Logan," Patton grinned.

Logan mirrors Patton's actions to clean off the frosting.

"You're lucky you're adorable," Logan with a hidden smile, handing the frosting back to Patton.

On the other side of the room Roman and Virgil were still at it, small smears of frosting across their lower faces and their hands. Roman had managed to trap Virgil on top of a counter, both bags of frosting tossed where neither of the sides could immediately reach them.

"Give up yet?" Roman asked.

"I feel sticky," Virgil complained.

Roman leaned forward to kiss the original dollop off of Virgil's nose.

"At least it is tasty," he replied.

Virgil's cheeks dusted a rosy color as he looked away indignantly.

"Just get a wet towel, Princy," Virgil mumbled, pushing him away.

Roman smirked at the comment, leaning closer.

"What, you don't enjoy me cleaning you off that way?" Roman teased.

A shiver ran down Virgil's spine and his face grew warmer.

"Why are you like this?"

Roman let out a loud laugh as he walked over to the sink to get some damp paper towels.

"Because I get to see that cute smile of yours?" Roman replied.

Virgil did his best to frown and look away. One of these days, they really would be the death of him. All of their loving teases and touches were making him feel full inside. It was back to being the warm, bright, and bubbly feeling from before. He spared Roman a flustered glance as he returned to standing in front of him. Roman handed him one of the paper towels and he began whipping off his face, Roman doing the exact same with his own towel. When he felt like his face no longer felt sticky he began working on his fingers.

"Missed a spot, Gatito," Roman hummed playfully.

Virgil blinked up at him curiously and saw Roman pointing towards the corner of his lip. He ducked his head down again, still focussing and trying to clean up a rather stubborn stain between his fingers.

"Maybe I wanted you to clean that for me too," Virgil replied without much thought.

A silence fell over them and Virgil found himself finally realizing what exactly he could be implying. Roman's finger looped under Virgil's chin making him meet his gaze.

"Are you making a joke or asking me to do that?" Roman asked.

Virgil let out a soft whine. He thought about how he'd feel and there was a bit of a nervous flutter but no fearful twisting. He'd be okay and it'd be nice to get there to that point again.

"Please?" Virgil asked, his voice a bit weak and broken with nerves.

"Your wish is my command," Roman replied, gently tilting Virgil's head to the side.

Virgil let his eyes become hooded, his heart pounding in his ears as he waited in anticipation. He wanted to have the nice feelings again from back when he had been blessed with getting to enjoy their kisses. He wasn't going to let the dark sides take that away from him, he wanted this. He really, really wanted this. He could feel Roman's body heat radiating onto his face as he leaned closer. His now clean hands reached up to rest against Roman's firm chest. He could see the warm, loving, careful expression glowing in Roman's eyes. His lips barely brushed against Virgil's.

"Guys, I need a favor."

Roman and Virgil rushed to pull apart when they heard their host's voice. Their host who was still clueless about their relationship. Virgil couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed that the moment had been ruined but that was immediately replaced by a low level of anxiety. Thomas must really need help if he came to them when they were all seemingly in a good mood. Virgil could almost forget everything they had been doing before when it came to protecting his host.

"What's up Thomas? Is everything alright? I'm feeling a lot of stress coming from you," Patton said worriedly.

"I'm fine. I just… I need a favor if any of you are willing," Thomas replied, rubbing his arm guiltily.

"Why wouldn't we-"

"I know you guys don't like dealing with the dark sides," Thomas finished, cutting Logan off.

Virgil stiffened, grabbing onto his own arms tightly. He pulled his legs up to his chest to close himself off from the world around him. Patton had gone visibly pale and grabbed onto Logan's thigh below the table.

"Dark sides? What could they possibly want now? I thought we already taught them enough of a lesson last time we encountered each other," Roman growled, glancing at both of his nervous boyfriends.

"It's Remus. I don't know exactly why he's bothering me but it's getting really bad. I can't focus on anything for even a second. All I've managed to get out of his is one thing," Thomas paused a moment, swallowing uncomfortably. "He says Deceit is back."
