Titus suppressed a groan, "Famulus."

She was smiling. She often was, when it came to bothering him. If he didn't find it amusing, he would have sold her off long ago. She was dressed well, he noted, much too formal for what he had planned after the largest youth event of the Season, so business on her mind, which meant it was in his best interest to change his plans. He mourned faintly, his plans to spend half of his day in bed sleeping off the effects of whatever that delightful drug he had ingested. I really should have caught the name of it. The colors it provided were damn fun. Too bad. Maybe my new swan splice caught it. What was the bird's name? Something sweet, I know… The next in a long Regen-X bath to cleanse him completely of the drug. Apparently, he would have to cut the bath into only a few hours.

Famulus only came to him in this state when it was important.

She was useful like that.

"Lord Titus," her clever eyes gleamed, "Funny stirrings Lord Balem's holdings."

If Titus had been half awake, her words completely brought him to consciousness. He slipped off his gravity bed. Still naked, he noted with amusement. Famulus did not even blink. She was too used to his habits.

"Oh, how fun," he said, striving quickly towards his robe. Like the good girl that she was, Famulus reached to help him. Pity, she didn't linger. It had been too long since Famulus had joined in on that sort of fun. But he granted her liberty. She was much too useful for just that, after all, "So our Regen-X will go up in the Market in comparison to him?"

"He might lose some face, My Lord if our preliminary findings say anything. He had a complete system restore on one of Holdings. Unprecedented solar activity."

Titus could not help but laugh.

"Bet that bothered the old boy, such an amateur mistake. Even I haven't had that happened on any of my meager holdings. He rarely makes a mistake. Does Kalique know?"

"No, my Lord, you know the Lady Kalique is wholly unimpressed with the business side of things beyond the profit allotted to her through her own holdings. It is rare for her to keep abreast of such things."

Titus reached for a drink. He hummed.

"Indeed. Especially now. She must be busy with the Season… Keep an eye on the situation. And bring me a sheeve of the planet it affected."

Famulus lifted a sheeve, smiling greatly at him. Clever little fawn.

"That will be all, Famulus."

"Of course, Lord Titus."
