Sultan Asil Arslan : When I hear the name John my brain automatically thinks 'Wick'.

YeTianshi : I'm glad, I was sort of going for a wonder woman thing where Harry's sort of like Steve Trevor in that he's this odd new guy who is teaching her and showing her new things.

Devildestroyer : That's right, I'm glad at least one of you knows your place.

stylo1 : The torture curse did work on Malekith, but the killing curse did not work on the creature/Kurse, take from that what you will.

Chapter 38 -

"What the bloody hell is up with him?" Harry asked once Odin had left, his armour had just vanished, leaving him back in trainers, jeans, a grey shirt and a black leather jacket.

"I don't know." Thor frowned.

"I'm sure he just has a lot on his mind," Frigga commented, though she didn't sound like she wasn't worried. "anyway, I have to thank you." She said to Padfoot.

"Just give him some food and he will be fine." Harry replied.

"Woof!" Padfoot barked in agreement as he turned back to normal.

"I will try and arrange something," Frigga smiled. "I am sure that by tomorrow Fandral will be spreading tales about how the Queen of Asgard was saved by the fierce and fearsome Padfoot."

"Woof!" Padfoot barked proudly as he sat down and thrust his chest out.

"No...I don't think we can convince Odin to make a statue of you." Harry shook his head, "Anyway," Harry continued as he turned to Frigga, ignoring Padfoot's whine. "was anyone else hurt?"

"Jane!" Thor blurted out suddenly. "What about about Jane?!" He asked quickly.

"She is fine, Thor." Frigga answered.

"I am here." A voice said, everyone turned to see Jane walk towards them.

"Jane!" Thor smiled as he walked towards her and pulled her into a hug, one which Jane gladly returned. "I feared the worse."

"Your mother helped me." Jane admitted once they stopped hugging, though the two were still holding hands.

"I am simply glad that you had the good sense to obey my instructions." Frigga smiled.

"You could have died for me." Jane said in a quiet voice, touched that this goddess would risk herself for someone who would die long before she could gain another wrinkle on her face or even a single grey hair on her head.

"Dying to save an innocent life is not something I would consider a waste." Frigga replied without hesitation.

"Dying to save someone is undoubtedly one of the better ways to go." Harry commented.

"Indeed," Frigga nodded before turning to Thor. "I must say son, I really approve of your selection of friends, the fact that they can listen to me show they have some brains." She smirked as Thor shook his head in amusement.

"That creature," Harry said suddenly. "the one with Malekith, what was it?" He asked. "It was different from the other dark elves."

"Yes," Thor nodded, it was not hard to see that the creature looked physically different, but it was also able to take two hits from Mjolnir, the fact that it could take a single one meant it was far stronger than most beings that Thor had fought. But when you have that plus two spells from Harry then that makes it much more serious, Thor admittedly did not know all of the spells that Harry could do but he did recognize that green light as being the spell that Harry would call the 'killing curse'. If the creature survived that then there was a lot of reason to worry. "it seemed to be Malekith's personal servant."

"Like his bodyguard." Jane commented.

"Exactly," Harry nodded. "it makes sense, take the biggest and the strongest and place him at the leader's side. What happened in here anyway?" Harry asked Frigga.

"I had instructed Padfoot and Jane to hide, I then created an illusion of Jane." Frigga began explaining. "Malekith entered, after a small bit of talk we began fighting, I had gained the upper hand when his creature suddenly came along and grabbed me. Malekith then realized Jane was an illusion and not the real thing, he wanted the Aether. Then Padfoot jumped in and saved me," She paused and smiled at Padfoot who looked as proud as a dog could look. "after that you and my son arrived. You know the rest."

"You know more about the dark elves than most, right?" Harry asked.

"I know more about most things than most," Frigga responded with a small shrug of her shoulders. "why do you ask?" She raised an eyebrow.

"I'm not trying to order you about, but I do believe it could be beneficial to find some books and see if there is perhaps anything else we could learn that might be helpful."

"Hmm," Frigga's face turned thoughtful. "yes, yes that is a good idea." She admitted.

"And then what?" Thor asked.

"When we're ready, we can take the fight to the dark elves." Harry answered.

Harry was in his room with Padfoot, Padfoot was on the floor and happily eating the large amount of food that Frigga had arranged for him. Harry on the other hand was lying down on the bed, he was thinking about what had just happened. Firstly the Aether, the fact that this supposedly powerful relic wasn't as gone as the Asgardian's liked to believe was a cause for concern, because it very much sounded like having it in the wrong hands could cause problems for not just Asgard but also Earth and likely any other planets and realms with life.

Another reason to worry was the dark elves, the ones that Odin insisted were dead. Harry would have to try and remember to bring that up the next time Odin pissed him off. The whole situation reminded him a lot of Fudge, and his refusal to admit that Voldemort was back. Though it admittedly made more sense coming from Odin, King of Asgard, when talking about a race that hadn't been seen in thousands of years than it did for Cornelius Fudge, supreme wanker, when discussing a man who was supposedly dead even though nobody alive had actually seen him die. Many Asgardians had also died during the dark elves attack, the previous day Harry had attended the funeral that was held for them. It was a beautiful yet extremely sad event.

One other thing that had Harry's interest was Odin's reaction to his armour, Odin had clearly knew more about his armour than he was willing to let on, a blind person in a dark room on a planet with no access to a sun could see that...you know...if they were still alive. Did that mean that Harry's suit was Asgardian made? Or was it made but someone else that Odin knew? Did he know who wore it before Harry?

Harry was brought out of his thoughts when he heard a knock on the door, he let a small sigh before he stood up and walked over to the door. He opened it to reveal Sif standing in front of him while holding a tray full of food.

"I thought you weren't room service." Harry joked, Sif smiled but Harry noticed an odd twitch in her eye.

"May I come in?" She asked, Harry nodded and stepped aside to let her in. His wand appeared in his hand, just in case. Sif walked past him, either not noticing or simply not commenting on the drawn wand, she placed the tray down just as Harry closed the door.

"So...you look like you're up to something." Harry idly commented.

"That would be because I am," Sif replied as she turned around and walked up to Harry. "I heard that you and your companion saved Queen Frigga." She commented.

"It was more Padfoot than me." Harry admitted, Padfoot paused while eating so he could let out a bark of agreement. "Go back to your eating buddy." Harry said to him and Padfoot did just that, Harry then turned his attention back to Sif. "Me and Thor only arrived after Padfoot had managed to save Frigga."

"Still, all of Asgard is thankful for your help." Sif replied.

"I like our conversations but for some reason I don't think that that is why you are here." Harry responded.

"It is not," Sif admitted.. "I have come back from a meeting with the Allfather."

"What did you talk about?" Harry asked in an interested voice.

"Not much," Sif sighed. "Thor interrupted the meeting, I along with everyone else left so he can talk with the Allfather. When he came out he did not look very happy."

"Odin or Thor?" Harry asked.

"Both," Sif answered, almost immediately. "Thor wants to have a meeting. I will be attending it as well, he wants you to come as well."

"Where is the meeting?"

"Instructions on when and how to get there are in your food." Sif explained. "I can't stay here long or it could attract attention, the Allfather wants you confined to your room." She said before she walked to the door. "I shall see you there." She nodded to him before leaving. Once she was gone Harry walked over to his food, he searched and after a few seconds found a piece of parchment inside a chicken.

"She could have just given it to me." Harry rolled his eyes. "Fucking dramatic people."

"Woof." Padfoot stopped eating to bark at him.

"Alright...fine...I will admit that that is a bit hypocritical."

Harry and Padfoot had managed to sneak into the cavern where Thor wanted to meet, once they got inside they saw it was perfectly empty apart from Heimdall, Thor, Fandral, Volstagg and Sif. Harry greeted everyone before they all sat down, apart from Heimdall who had chosen to remain standing.

"Thor," Harry spoke. "what the hell is going on here? And could you perhaps explain your reason for why we are having a meeting here and not in the perfectly nice palace that we just left?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow at Thor.

"It's my father," Thor sighed. "I tried speaking to him, convincing him that we needed to do something about the dark elves, that they could attack again at any time. I tried to convince him to let me take Jane and leave Asgard, to draw the elves away from here by removing the Aether, but he has refused. I fear his anger has blinded him, he wishes to enter full scale war with them, hoping to kill them all just like my grandfather was supposed to have done."

"Oh for fuck sakes." Harry rolled his eyes as he let out a deep sigh. "I have had it with crazy ass rulers, if I ever take over the world I will insist that all rulers take monthly mental evaluations."

"You will take over the world?" Fandral raised an eyebrow.

"Even Mother could not convince him to change his mind," Thor said before anyone else could reply. "she is trying but he is stubborn and is refusing to listen. What I am about to ask of you all is treason of the highest order, success could bring us exile while failure would result in our death. Malekith knew that the Aether was here, he could sense its power. If we do nothing then he could come for it again but next time he could win, he could bring waste to all of Asgard."

"Well that does sound likely," Harry agreed. "this time I think he was simply hoping to quickly get in, kill as many as possible, take the Aether and escape. Next time he might decide it's easier to just kill everybody."

"We must move Jane off world." Thor said.

"And how are we supposed to do that?" Sif asked. "The Bifrost has been shut down on the orders of the Allfather, the tesseract is locked away in a secure vault, also on the orders of the Allfather."

"There are other paths off of Asgard, ways known only to a few." Heimdall replied.

"One actually." Thor replied. It took everyone no less than two seconds to work out who Thor was referring to.

"No." Volstagg said, disbelief heavy in his voice.

"Woof!" Padfoot barked.

"What he said," Harry agreed. "please tell me that you are not referring to that son of a bitch who attacked New York."

"He is my brother." Thor reminded.

"I'm not insulting Frigga because he is still adopted," Harry reminded him. "though if he really is your brother then just direct my last comment to Odin. Now, are you seriously telling me that you want to trust something this important to Loki?"

"Yes, I do." Thor nodded.

"Hasn't he stabbed you? And tried to kill you? Like multiple times?"

"Harry is right," Sif agreed. "Loki is a traitor, not just to Asgard but also to you and your family, Thor."

"That is not to mention the amount of destruction and death he left the last time he was on my world." Harry added with Padfoot barking in agreement. "What makes you think you can trust him?"

"I don't," Thor spoke in a quiet voice after a few moments of silence. "in the past I hoped that the old Loki might still be there, I no longer have that hope in me. If he tries something then I will not hesitate."

"Then why do you think that he will help us?" Sif asked.

"A few different reasons," Thor replied. "firstly is obviously the fact that he plans to use this as a chance to escape. Secondly I will promise to help either free him or reduce his sentence, imply a reward, thirdly because the elves nearly killed Frigga. Loki, may say what he likes, but I fully believe that he still cares for her. The fact that the elves nearly killed her will stoke Loki's desire for vengeance."

"He will betray you." Fandral replied.

"He will try." Thor agreed, as if he expected nothing less.

"Undoubtedly." Harry nodded. "If he does try something then I will kill him, last time you and Steve stopped me, this time I'm only giving him one chance, if he steps over the line then I will put him down." Harry said calmly, Thor looked pained for a second before he eventually nodded.

"And if he doesn't do it then I will." Sif added.

"So what then?" Fandral asked Thor. "Your lovely mortal is guarded by a legion of Einherjar who will see you coming from a mile away." Fandral reminded him.

"It's a good thing then that I won't be the one who comes for her." Thor replied. "Sif? Harry? Which of you two are willing to do it?" He asked. Harry and Sif looked at each other for a few moments before Harry turned back to Thor.

"Get Sif to do it." Harry said.

"Why Sif?" Volstagg asked.

"When it comes to stealth and sneaking I'm as good as death itself, but I'm also good at causing trouble." Harry smirked. "Sif's capable of getting Jane out, meanwhile I will cause a major distraction."

"Just make sure nobody get's hurt." Thor said, mostly because Harry's smile worried him.

"What of the Allfather?" Sif asked.

"Am I going to have to fight your dad?" Harry asked Thor, half-serious.

"No, while we're on that topic, please never do that, ever." Thor responded, fully serious.

"It is my sworn duty to notify the King of crimes against the throne." Heimdall spoke. "Though of course it is entirely possible for me to notify him far later than I should."

"Assuming that you can get Loki's help and free this mortal, what good would it do?" Volstagg asked. "We would all be dead the minute we stepped one foot outside the palace."

"That my friend is why we won't be leaving by foot." Thor responded. "There is a dark elf ship left behind from the attack, it is still in working condition, we can use that to get out of Asgard."

"It sounds like you have an actual plan instead of just making this up on the spot," Harry said approvingly. "let's hear the rest of it." Harry and the others spent the next hour or so discussing their plans for tomorrow, a few changes were made to Thor's original plan by the end of it but everyone was satisfied by the end of the night.

Sif was constantly looking around, in case she would stumble upon a group of Einherjar. If they were going to go through with Thor's plan then the last thing they needed was unnecessary, time wasting fights. Sif enjoyed them as much as the next Asgardian warrior but this was not the time for it.

"Where is Harry?" Jane asked as she followed Sif, who had taken out two guards before taking Jane out of the room and telling her a few basic details about their plan.

"Creating a distraction." Sif answered.

"What is he doing for a distraction?" Jane asked.

"I'm not sure," Sif admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. "I'm sure it is nothing to worry about." She said, only for her and Jane to suddenly stop in their tracks upon hearing a large boom followed by the sound of an alarm. "I could be wrong." Sif said quietly before she continued walking with Jane who hurried after her.

"Hey." Harry said as he appeared alongside them a minute later, Padfoot with him.

"Do I want to know what you did for your distraction?" Sif asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Nobody died." Was Harry's response.

"Fair enough." Sif said before putting her focus back on the task at hand. The group stopped when they saw Loki standing with Thor.

"Is that..." Jane temporarily lost her speech upon seeing Loki, the man responsible for the attack on Earth.

"I'm Loki," Loki said upon seeing Jane. "you may have heard of..." Loki found himself cut off by a strong slap from Jane.

"That was for New York." She glared at him.

"I like this one." Loki grinned, only to stop when Harry stopped in front of him.

"Long time no see Loki," Harry said calmly. "I'm sure Thor has already threatened you but I just want to let you know that this time nobody would stop me from killing you. Give me a reason, even a half-good one and I will cover the walls with your blood."

"Right...well...it's good to see you too." Loki responded after a short pause. Any further response was cut off by the sound of Einherjar coming down the hallway.

"Padfoot," Harry said, "keep them busy, don't kill them. We'll meet you later." Harry said as he and the others began walking away.

"Woof." Padfoot nodded before he shifted into his battle mode and roared at the approaching Einherjar.

A.N: Hi guys, hope you enjoyed the chapter. I actually want to talk about an idea that I've had for this story. I'm sure a few of you have read Avenger's Battleground, for those who don't know that is a HP/Avenger's crossover fic, a very good one in my opinion. Anyway in one chapter (chapter 21/the Aether chapter/end of the Dark World bit) there is this big change that happens, those of you who have read it will know what I am talking about. Some might have liked it but personally I didn't and it nearly made me quit the story. Which is why I am rather cautious about the next idea I want to try.

Now normally if I think this is a good idea or important then I will just put it in without asking any of you guys, but the idea that I am thinking of is one of those ones where I can do it or not do it and still be fine either way. So if I use this idea then the story will naturally change a bit, but if I don't then it will just keep going the way it is.

Anyway my idea is to bring Teddy (Harry's godson) back using an infinity stone (probably combined with his powers as the master of death or something like that, I'm still working on the details).

I was thinking about it recently and I was just thinking about how nice it would be for Harry to have his godson back and could allow for some nice moments between the two while also letting important people in Harry's life see him interact with Teddy. You know, show the loving and caring side of him. But I feel like this is something that could probably change a lot of people's opinion's so I wanted to put it to a vote. Like I said, I'm fine with bringing Teddy back or leaving him dead, but I want to hear your opinion's on the matter.

Thank you for reading, feel free to leave a review and enjoy the omakes.

Omake 1 (Idea from Hoodedgenius98) :

"Um...what is going on?" Harry asks as a bunch of women corner him, including Natasha, Sif, Gwen, Hela, Hill, Valkyrie and many others.

"We need to know Harry, who do you like the best?" Natasha asked.

"Yes, we need an answer." Sif nodded in agreement.

"Oh..." Harry gulped. "I..."

"Ow." Morgan says as she walks in and falls over.

"Oh Morgan!" Harry says quickly rushes over to her. "Let's get you some help." He says before carrying her out and away from all the woman. "Thanks for the save." Harry said as he handed her a fiver once they were far enough away.

"You're welcome." Morgan grinned.

Omake 2:

"Did your parents read the note I gave you?" Morgan's teacher asked.

"My mum and dad aren't home but my uncles have read it." Morgan replied.

"And what did they say?" Morgan's teacher asked.

"My Uncle Harry told me to tell you...'to mind you damn motherfucking business bitch! Stupid bitch!'" Morgan said, the teacher gasped but Morgan was not done. "He also said 'little dumb teaching bitch, two plus two not knowing what the fuck it is bitch'. Cross eyes little..." Morgan continued swearing and cursing for several minutes before stopping. "...'dumbass woman.'" She finished, the teacher and whole class were gaping at her. "Then my Uncle Steve said 'I'm really sorry, I tried my best to stop him'."

Omake 3:

"I'm scared of spiders." Morgan said, Harry looks up and sees Peter enter the room.

"Give us a minute." He says as he raises his wand while Clint picks up a broom.

Omake 4 (someone suggested this a while ago but I can't remember who, sorry):

"So Frigga," Harry grinned at a blushing Frigga. "what about...ow hey!" Harry protested when Thor suddenly began attacking him with a rolled up newspaper. "What the hell?!"

"You've slept with Sif, the Black Widow, Spider Woman, Spiderman's aunt, Maria Hill, my sister, most of the female Shield agents and all of the good looking single Asgardian woman but I draw the line at my mother!" Thor said as he continued to attack Harry with the newspaper.

Omake 5:

"Morgan said a bad word in school today." Pepper said.

"Shit!" Bucky exclaimed.

"Goddamn it all to hell! You've got to be shitting me, little Morgan? Merlin's bloody shriveled ball sack! Who the fuck's been teaching our little princess how to swear?" Harry asked. "Where on God's fucking green fucking Earth would she fucking learn that shit? I mean for fuck sakes, she is too young to swear."

"You know what...I blame the fucking internet." Bucky responded.

"The fucking Internet!" Harry agreed, slapping his hand on a table.

"Oh for fuck sakes." Pepper said under her breath, though not quiet enough because Harry and Bucky heard her. They turned to her, gasping as they pointed their fingers at her.

"It was you!" They said at the same time.
