It was the morning of Christmas Eve, the (L/N) Residence was bustling with people who are busy preparing for the Karasuno Annual Christmas Ball for their youngest member of the family. When (F/N) asked for her older sister's help she did not expect that everyone in her family will be helping out.
Her gown that she will be using for the ball was sponsored by her older brother, Kai. Her hair and make up will be taken care of by her sister who has a knack for that kind of thing. Her silver closed toe ankle strap heels were bought by his brother Shin before going home from Tokyo.
"I can't believe you're going to the ball and Kei's not your partner," Ellie pouted as she lied on (F/N)'s bed.
(F/N) looked at her older sister, "He's one of the top students so he already has a partner."
"But, Tobio-kun's not a bad choice either. He's pretty damn good looking if you asked me. Good choice, little sis!" Ellie gave her a thumbs up.
Someone knocked on the door, Kai enters the room with a huge white box on his hand, "Your gown finally arrived."
Ellie shoots up from (F/N)'s bed, "Oh my god! Let me see!" She took out the gown from the box, she squealed in delight that the gown looks exactly how she envisions it, "(NICKNAME)! Look!"
A powder blue off-the-shoulder tulle ball gown, it has an illusion sleeves frame, beaded bodice with a v-neckline and beaded spaghetti straps. The gown features a basque waist and a lace-up back with scattered sequins accent, the beaded trimmed asymmetrically slit overlay on the ball gown skirt. (F/N) awe at the sight of the gown before her, it was something made out of a fairytale. Her sister did a pretty good job choosing the design, it was perfectly handmade by the ones who sew the gown.
"I'm so jealous! You have a princess-like gown, and you have a handsome prince who will pick you up later. It's frustrating that we don't have this during high school." Ellie rambled on.
"Yeah, yeah, it's just a ball," (F/N) dismissed, but to be honest she was secretly excited. She wanted to see Kei's reaction later when she arrived at the venue wearing the elegant gown.
"It's not just a ball! What if someone confessed to you all of a sudden? Oh my god! I can't imagine! It's so sweet!" Ellie squealed.
(F/N)'s cheeks blushed, "You read too much romance book," (F/N) sighed.
Ellie spent the whole morning trying to plan out the makeup she'll be using on (F/N) to the hairstyle she'll be doing to match your gown. She prepared all of her expensive makeup sets, hairdressing tools, perfume, to the accessories and the bag she'll be using.
When evening came, the situation around the house became busy as Ellie was practically going back and forth preparing everything. She told (F/N) to take a nice warm bath to start the preparation.
After (F/N) took a bath, she remained in her robes, and Ellie began doing her makeup. Her older sister looked like one of those famous YouTubers doing makeup tutorials. Ellie decided to settle with a brown and gold shimmer eyeshadows.
To be honest, it was the first time (F/N)'s having heavy makeup on her. She will go for the natural if it's not a big event. She put her trust in her older sister's talents. After the last touch, Ellie proceeded to style (F/N)'s hair. She decided to go off an updo hairstyle with hair ornaments. Since (F/N) cut her hair short, Ellie had no other choice but to use hair extensions to be able to pull off her desired hairstyle.
"Keep your eyes close, ok?" Ellie said, tying (F/N)'s hair, "This is will be a surprise!"
"Alright..." (F/N) answered with her eyes closed.
After a long tiring makeover, Ellie was finally done, "I'm done! You can open your eyes now!" She chirped.
(F/N) saw her reflection on the mirror upon opening her eyes. She barely recognized herself, her older sister went overboard this time. For the first time, she felt special on this occasion. After one last look, (F/N) went to change into her gown. It was rather hard for her to walk on heels but she manages to go back to her room, showing everyone her final look.
"OH. MY. GOD! Your royal highness!" Ellie's eyes literally sparkled upon seeing her sister in her gown.
"Oh! (Nickname), you look beautiful!" Kai grinned, giving his younger sister a thumbs up.
"Beautiful? You mean, gorgeous!" Shin corrected, smiling at (F/N).
"Our daughter is all grown up," (F/N)'s mother had teary eyes while watching her daughter.
"Looks like you'll be expecting suitors soon dad," Ellie teased, poking their father's side.
Their father chuckled, "Well, we can't avoid that. She got her mother's charm after all."
(F/N) couldn't help but blush heavily with the compliments given to her. Now, she's more nervous than before. If she had to be honest, she really does feel like a princess at that moment. As if she's attending a royal ball in a palace.
"(Nickname), look here!" Ellie waved at her sister while the camera of her phone facing (F/N), "Yes! Perfect!" She looked at the wall clock, "Tobio-kun should be here any minute now. I just got a message from Miwa-chan."
As if on cue the doorbell rang, Ellie ran downstairs to answer the door. She welcomed the boy standing outside. He's once bowl cut hair was now slicked-back neatly with few of his hair strands hanging on the side of his forehead. Kageyama Tobio is currently wearing a pale blue tailored suit paired with waistcoat and white button-down collared long sleeve with a grey necktie.
"Kyaah~!" Ellie squealed, "Tobio-kun! Please, be my boyfriend! Uwa~ Ne, ne, Miwa-chan! What did you do!? Tobio-kun's a hottie! He looks like Kanbe Daisuke-kun from The Millionaire Detective! I'm gonna cry!"
Kageyama Miwa, Tobio's older sister laughed at Ellie's reaction, "Now, now, Ellie, you're not the one going to the ball, ya know. So? Where's my brother's date?"
"Right!" Ellie turned to see (F/N) just got down from the stairs, "Here she is!"
(F/N) approached the front door to face Kageyama. The two of them stared shock at each other's sudden transformation. (F/N) knew Kageyama Tobio was a good looking guy but he could be so much more than that if he wants to.
Meanwhile, Kageyama was left speechless when he laid his eyes on his partner/date for the Ball. He gulped, feeling his nervous resurfaced after calming down a bit.
"You look handsome, Tobio!" (F/N) smiled at him, "Here," She pinned the white rose boutonniere on the lapel of his blazer, "See? We match," She showed her right wrist with a white rose corsage as a sign that they're a partner for the ball.
"You looked like a princess from a fairytale story, (F/N)-chan. You're so beautiful," Miwa complimented.
"Thank you, Miwa-nēchan." (F/N) smiled.
"Alright, are you all set? I'll drive you both to school." She turned to the elegant car parking outside the gate of (L/N) Residence.
"Hell, where did you get that car Miwa-chan? It looks expensive," Shin said, standing behind (F/N).
"I have my connections," Miwa smirked at them, "Come on, get on the car."
(F/N) said her goodbye to her family, they wish her to enjoy the night. Kageyama did the same, he settled on the passenger seat while (F/N) was seating on the back seat all by herself, struggling to keep her gown from wrinkling.
The ride silent on the way to the Karasuno High School. Once the car reaches the school grounds, the sound of music can be heard from the newly renovated ballroom hall just outside the main building.
Kageyama got off the car first and opened the door for (F/N). She smiled at her partner and Kageyama offered his arm for her to clingy instead (F/N) intertwined her fingers with his. The look on Kageyama's face was priceless, his cheeks were about to burst. Before proceeding to the hall, the two said their thanks to Miwa. She told them she'll pick them up after the party.
Meanwhile, inside the hall, the Karasuno Volleyball Boys together with their partner gathered in three tables with two vacant was left for the two remaining members of the group to arrive.
Daichi sat with Yui as his partner, most of the volleyball team members partner up with the girl's team. Suga invited Shimizu as his partner for the ball. Asahi's partner is the wing spiker of the girls, Chizuru. Nishinoya's partner is the libero of the girl's team, Ayaka. Ryu's partner is one of the twin middle blockers, Rena and the other twin Rinko is partner up with Ennoshita. Everyone already knows Tsukishima's partner. Hinata invited Yachi to be his partner for the ball. Lastly, Yamaguchi is with Hanabi, the first-year middle blocker.
The hall was decorated with white and different shades of blue. Round tables arranged on both sides of the hall which creates an aisle that connects to the dance floor. The dance floor was located in the middle, where it was aligned with the huge chandelier hanging on the ceiling which the sparkles from the light scattered around the hall.
The tables were covered with pastel blue colored silk, each of the tables has a large vase in the middle filled with powder blue roses. It also had complete dining utensils and comes with 8 crystalline chairs.
Most of the room's decor was made of crystal, everything looked like the place was sparkling. Up ahead was the stage and beside it was a huge white Christmas Tree with blue decorations.
The spotlight suddenly pointed at the entrance of the hall. The students who were already inside the hall paid their attention to the pair that just arrived inside. (F/N) blocked the light with her hand, she couldn't see anything at the moment. She felt Kageyama froze on his feet.
Once her eyes have adjusted to the light, she realized the reason. Everyone was looking at them, some are gawking. Everyone was in their best dress, ladies in their beautiful ball gowns and guys in their best-tailored suit or tuxedos.
"Crystal Snow" by a popular korean boy group named BTS was being played by the orchestra in the background as they walked down the aisle to find their group among the crowd of the student.
"Holy shit! It can't be! Is that Kageyama?!" Tanaka stood up from his seat getting a better view of the pair at the entrance.
"What happened to Kageyama!?" Hinata looked like he saw a ghost upon setting his eyes on their setter.
"I'm so proud," Suga wiped an imaginary tear in the corner of his eyes.
"Dammit! It's so unfair! Look at them! They look like a power couple coming from a fairytale story!" Nishinoya grinned, feeling proud at his kouhais.
"I—It's like they're getting married!" Yachi said out of the blue.
Daichi grinned, "Then I should be the one walking (F/N) down the aisle towards the altar if this was a wedding."
Suga laughed, patting Daichi's shoulder, "Nice one, Dadchi,"
"Uwa~! (F/N)-chan's looks like a princess!" Yui's eyes sparkled.
"I didn't recognize, Kageyama for a second. He's like one of those millionaire debonair bachelors from a tv series, right Tsuki?" Yamaguchi commented, turning to his friend but Tsukishima was busy staring at the two from a distance.
Sakamoto grunted on her seat, wearing midnight blue sweetheart neckline ruffle tulle A-line long gown. She really thought that she could beat you this time when it comes to attracting attention. She wanted to win Karasuno Royalty Couple of the Night with Tsukishima but looks like she ran out of luck when (F/N) arrived.
Tsukishima remembered the summer festival with (F/N). He always thought that she's beautiful but he never thought she could be more than he expected. He could not take him away from her direction. The scene was something made out of a fairytale. He couldn't breathe, he wanted to be the one walking there with her.
"I'm getting (F/N)-san's autograph!" Nishinoya exclaimed.
Ayaka laughed, "We all should, they look like actors from Hollywood."
"Oh! They're coming this way," Ennoshita mentioned.
The pair finally arrived at where their friends are. They took the vacant seat beside Tsukishima and Sakamoto.
"(F/N)-san! Can I have your autograph!?" Nishinoya said, both of his palm planted firmly on the top of the table. (F/N) only chuckled at Nishinoya as a reply.
"(F/N)-chan! You looked like a princess!" Yui complimented.
"I feel like my sister went overboard with my gown," (F/N) smiled sheepishly at Yui.
"Are you kidding? It's perfect!" Ayaka gave a thumbs up.
"Is something going between you two?" Hanabi wiggled her eyebrows at (F/N) and Kageyama, "I saw you two holding each other's hand."
Kageyama remained silent but his cheeks could not deny the fact he was embarrassed by being caught like that in the open.
"It's a secret," (F/N) winked at them while putting one of her index fingers in front of her lips.
Hinata choked on his water upon hearing (F/N)'s answer. Kageyama's eyes were about to jump out of its socket. Tsukishima remained stoic while Sakamoto smirked and Yamaguchi stifling his laugh.
(F/N) turned to her left to meet Tsukishima's eyes, she noticed his outfit. He was wearing the same color as his partner's gown. A midnight blue tailored suit with waistcoat and light blue button-down collared long sleeves paired with a dark blue necktie. His tousled hair was slightly been curled. He wasn't wearing any eyeglasses, she suspected him to be wearing contacts.
"You look good," (F/N) complimented him.
It caught him off guard, a small red hue appearing on his cheeks, "T—Thanks, you don't look bad yourself."
"Do we look good together, (L/N)-san?" Sakamoto joined in.
"Hmm," (F/N) thought for a moment, "I guess?"
Sakamoto's smile fell, she glared at the girl who was smiling at them. To be honest, (F/N) think that Sakamoto went overboard with her makeup. But she couldn't say it out loud with everyone around and with Tsukishima beside her. She didn't want to embarrass her when the ball hasn't even started yet.
After a little while, the event finally started with the Student Council President and Vice President being the Masters of the Ceremonies for tonight's program. The school principal gave a short speech, then the cotillion dance began after that.
The top students were standing in the middle, being surrounded by the committee members with their partners. (F/N) looked at Kageyama who was visibly nervous at the moment. She squeezed his shoulder gently, smiling at him. Kageyama smiled back, mouthing the words "Thank You" at her.
The orchestra started playing "Pretty Boy" by M2M and the lights turned dim around the hall. The dance began with everyone in sync with the music. The audience was at awe with the dance so far with the chandelier sparkling down before them.
Karasuno Volleyball Team was watching its members who participated in the dance attentively. The song reached the climax, the next step was coincidentally changing partners.
(F/N) looked up to see Tsukishima was her partner. Her eyes looked like it was sparkling from the chandelier. He may not show it but, Tsukishima was pretty nervous holding her waist. He couldn't even look at her straight in the eye with getting embarrassed.
"Relax, Kei. You look stiff," (F/N) gently smiled at him.
"I've never been in a ball and hell, I don't even dance," Tsukishima replied, softly.
(F/N) chuckled, "Really? The way I see it, you're looking good and you dance well." She started humming with the song, "Say you love me too~ Oh my, pretty, pretty boy, I love you like I~ Never ever love no one before you~" Her eyes staring at the Tsukishima's golden orbs.
Her voice was music to his ears, it's like the sound around them was muffled and all he could hear was her dulcet tones while singing to the sound of the orchestra.
In the end part of the dance, they had to switch back to their original partner, to Tsukishima's disappointment. He didn't want that moment to end, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Oh, hi, Tobio." (F/N) grinned.
Kageyama's cheeks blushed, "Hello, (L/N)-san. Looks like you're enjoying the dance."
"I am," (F/N) continue humming to the song of the orchestra.
The dance ended with a big round of applause from the students. The top students and committee members made their way back to their respective seats as the program continued. Dinner was served after that, the students are enjoying the evening.
It was the first time the volleyball team was able to breathe from all of their practice for the upcoming Nationals Tournament. When dinner was over, the students were allowed to enjoy the after cotillion dance. The orchestra played different songs in the background while everyone was enjoying the night.
(F/N) enjoyed talking to Kageyama on their table. A couple of guys asked her for a dance which she happily accepted. Tsukishima and Kageyama were also asked by other girls. It was really a sight to be hold, after their win against Shiratorizawa, the volleyball team suddenly gain fans from the student body. It's not just Tsukishima and Kageyama, the rest of the members were invited to dance with random schoolmates.
Nishinoya and Tanaka finally got the chance to dance with (F/N) too and surprisingly Shimizu did not turn down their invitation when they asked her to dance with them.
Sakamoto went to freshen up after dancing with her friends and classmates, and the members of the volleyball team are on the dance floor dancing at the moment. (F/N) and Tsukishima were the only ones left in the table, the clever middle blocker took the chance to sneak away out of the hall with (F/N). They exited at the back towards a small garden where a small gazebo stood in the middle, the place was pretty much empty at the moment. The beam and post of the gazebo was wrapped around by vines with white roses growing from it. Fairy lights hanging from the beam.
They could still the music from the hall, (F/N) wonder why Tsukishima brought her there. She looked at Kei as he tried catching his breath.
"What are we doing here Kei?" She raised an eyebrow at the guy in front of her.
"To get away," Tsukishima straightens his suit, "To get away from them. I wanted to be alone with you,"
(F/N) chuckled, "You're being unfair to the others, what if they started looking for us?"
"They pretty much busy with their own business to even notice," Tsukishima looked at her, he motioned to keep quiet.
The music started transitioning, now the orchestra was playing "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. He held his hand out to (F/N), "May I have this dance, Your Highness?"
(F/N) giggled, covering her mouth. She was amused by Tsukishima, "My pleasure," She bobbed a curtsy to him and took his hand and they started with dancing slow.

Tsukishima summoned all his courage to look at her. His cheeks wouldn't stop blushing at the moment, "I am not joking, (F/N). I am serious,"

"I realize when I almost lost you to that accident. I was lost without you. My world stopped when I couldn't hear your voice, those cute sounds you make when you laugh. You always made my day, I was too embarrassed to show it. But you're my..."
Tuned in, turned on, remembered the thing you said
"Are you serious about liking me?" (F/N) gained the courage to ask him. She may not remember everything but deep inside her heart, she recognized her feelings for Tsukishima ever since she first laid her eyes on him.

Tsukishima pulled away, covering his mouth with the back of his hand. His cheeks blushing furiously, he won't be able to hide it now.
"I—" His eyes stared back into her sea-blue eyes, "I really like you and it's crazy that I couldn't stand a day without hearing your voice or seeing your face. Dammit, this is embarrassing..." Tsukishima covered his face with one of his hand.
(F/N) smiled, her tears started falling down on her cheeks. Tsukishima turned to look at the girl in front of him and got startled by her reaction, he began to panic on the inside. He pulled her into a hug, and she hugged him back.

"You really waited for me to remember everything before you confessed?" (F/N) pulled away.
Tsukishima held her by the shoulder, "Y—You remember everything?"
(F/N) nodded, "It came like a flood,"
"Are you alright?" Tsukishima was concerned.
"Yeah, you're confession made it better." (F/N) looked at him, "So, I'm not your type but you like me? I told you, you're gonna eat your words."
Tsukishima was taken back, "Can we forget about that?"
The two of them started laughing at themselves for being silly. It was a miracle of Christmas Eve, (F/N) regained her memory. It was almost impossible but because of her strong connection with Tsukishima, she was able to remember.

The two returned inside the hall and pretended like they never left. Sakamoto kept on asking Tsukishima where he had been. While (F/N) started a conversation between her and Kageyama.
"Alright, everyone. The votes are in, and we are ready to announce the Karasuno Royalty Couple of the Night!" The President said.
"I have the result in this card! Are you guys excited for the coronation!?" The Vice President held her microphone to the crowd.
"YEAH!"
"I'm gonna bet it's (F/N)-san for the queen," Tanaka said.
(F/N) waved her hands, "It's impossible, there are girls out there who are better looking and more deserving than me, Tanaka-senpai."
"For the King, the teachers went around earlier to observe. We also got the students to vote to be fair," The Vice President opened the card, "Well, well, well, let's congratulate our Royal Highness, the King, TSUKISHIMA KEI from the Year 1, Class 4!"
"Tsuki, congratulations!" Yamaguchi grinned at his friend.
"Come on, Tsukishima. Go to the front!" Daichi hollered, smiling.
"These kids make me proud," Suga said, "Oi! Tsukishima! Stand up already!"
Tsukishima sighed, not really wanting the spotlight being pointed at him and the unnecessary attention he was getting from the crowd. He can totally here the squeals from the female population shouting out his name. He stood from his seat and reluctantly went to the front together with the emcees. He was given a white sash with "Karasuno Christmas Ball King" in shimmering blue cursive and he also got to wear a diamond and sapphire king's crown.
"Alright! Next, who do you think is the lucky lady that will have the chance to dance with, Your Majesty, Tsukishima-kun?" The Vice President handed the card to the President, "Seitokaicho, if you may please."
The President opened the card, "Wow, now this is a unexpected turn of events, I was expecting those two to end up together tonight," He grinned, "Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome, our Royal Majesty, the Queen, (L/N) (F/N), from Year 1 Class 5!"
(F/N) froze on her seat as her group turned to her direction with huge smiles on their faces, "There's gotta be some mistake,"
"Now, that's another power couple right there!" Nishinoya hollered, clapping his hand.
(F/N) comically sweatdropped, it was such a pure coincidence that she will be dancing with Tsukishima again. She shook her hand in amusement as she stood and made her way to the front to receive a bouquet, sash and tiara from the award committee. The same as Tsukishima, (F/N) was given a white sash with "Karasuno Christmas Ball Queen" in shimmering blue cursive and a diamond and sapphire queen's crown.
"Looks like there was a slight error in your prediction," (F/N) whispered beside Tsukishima.
"Aren't we lucky," Tsukishima sarcastically replied.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let us all welcome again the royal couple of the night, for their royal dance." The President and Vice President went to the side to let the winners take the dance floor for their first official dance as the Royal Couple.
The orchestra started playing "Right here, Right Now" from High School Musical Three Senior Year.

(F/N) blushed, her heart beating abnormally but was able to hide it, "Stupid," She faced down, looking at the floor, trying to hide her face.

"It's midnight," (F/N) muttered, looking up to see the grandfather's clock in the corner of the stage.
