Painful world
Crimson blossom stood struggled, trying to shake Rin off of her. Rin tried to hold tight but Crimson blossom called her black spear to hand and jammed it into Rin's knee. Rin was forced to let go of her and staggered back a few steps.
"How dare you, how dare you, how dare you?" Crimson blossom spoke quietly but the mantra could still be heard by Rin who looked up. Crimson blossom stared at Rin with eyes of hate and despair "The whole world is my enemy, my mother's enemy, I serve her!"
Rin's hand shot forward only being deflected by a movement just as quick from Crimson blossom. As she attacked Rin spoke "No! That isn't who you were! You are my sister and the daughter of Aoi Tohsaka! These demons who forcibly changed you deserve your hate."
Crimson blossom didn't respond, she didn't have to as Rin was clearly lying. Rin was lying as her only mother, the one she obeys without question was Kimbery.
Rin stuck out her hand and spoke as if quoting "You're a child of the Tohsaka family, you always believed that your older sister would help you. Just like before I have come. Just like before I will say this; I am stupid, yet even I can see this isn't you, Sakura"
Crimson blossom was struck silent for a moment. Crimson blossom itself was a name given to Sakura, a name with faulty background. It was easier to reject than to face head on so she ignored the parts that went against that name. But still, the real Sakura raged within. She knew her sister, while the pain and hatred brought forth from the torment of Kimbery still existed in her heart there was nothing truely binding there anymore. All that was keeping the person known as Crimson blossom active was a simple wish for it to 'Not be me' a wish to forget the pain and the old name.
Sakura was a demon. That was a fact she had to accept now. She was a monster and yet it still hurt. Before, when she had met Rin in the cave under the mountain, she was a monster too. When that had happened, becoming a monster had let her escape from all that was hurting her. But here and now the denial was only hurting more.
However, something in her own nature stopped her. A truth that was brought into her from a charm. The truth of "A daughter cannot betray their mother."
Sakura stepped back, pain wracking her body "I can't go against her, I can't betray mother." she spoke quietly but Rin heard her.
"She isn't your mother! She is just a monster who hurt you and twisted you so that you would be a good puppet." Rin shouted now, not caring if she was heard. It was something that needed to be said.
Sakura lunged forwards suddenly with her spear. Rin reached forward and grabbed the spear just under the blade and then stepped to the side to get a better grip. Using the spear she pulled Sakura towards her and looked her in the eyes "What would Shirou say if he saw you now? Would he talk to you as I am or would he just look at you sadly? Either way we both know he would pull you out of this darkness just as I am!"
Rin tugged the spear again but Sakura was able to avoid being pulled at first, as they both pulled Rin continued to speak "You are drowning in that sea of yours, allow me to pull you out!"
In that moment, Rin's strength increased dramatically and Sakura was lifted off her feet by the force. Rin turned the spear and spun it away, due to Sakura's grip she was pulled with the spinning spear as Rin stopped after turning her body so she, the spear and Sakura were all rotated a half-turn.
Sakura had tears just below her eyes that she didn't seem to notice "I'm a monster now, even Shirou can't save me from this. This thing in my soul makes me a monster that hurts and destroys the good things.
Rin spoke and unknown to her, Sakura's Coadjutor spoke at the same time "Then why don't you turn your powers to a better use. The powers belong to you and you alone. It is your choice what they do but the demon Kimbery forces you to only use it for her. Don't you hate her? She took your choices from you and poisoned your relationships to punish you. Can you really call someone who does those sort of things a good mother?"
Inside her, something snapped. Any love she had for the sea that marched against the flame twisted and became hate. It wasn't torment, it was the act of a being that she loved becoming reviled. A part of her nature that could only make this change due to the influence of Kimbery herself.
"No" Sakura said simply, she let go of her spear and it fell back into shadow. Rin smiled just as Sakura collapsed from the stress of having her heart tugged in so many directions. Rin sat by her now sleeping sister and affectionately patted her head. After a moment she heard the sounds of battle from the window and stood again.
She walked to the window and called through it "Crimson Blossom has been defeated. That battle is over!"
There was silence for a moments before the sounds of rioting demons cried out. Rin smiled, most of them would rout without there being someone to give the order. Her army could deal with the stragglers.
She then returned to Sakura and moved her body so she was in a more comfortable position before closing her own eyes to rest.
End of chapter
Really not sure about this chapter, it will either be great or awful as it's my first time writing this sort of thing (As in a character talking down another) I don't know if I did their conversations properly but either way the chapter is done.
Next is one last chapter in Malfeas before we return to Shirou
