Sasuke and the rest made it back to the, now, destroyed village of Konoha. His mind was all over the place, first the village gets destroyed by the Akatsuki's leader, then shortly afterwards he finds out his friend is alive.

He wasn't fully sure why Naruto wouldn't come back, it may be true that they treated him harsh a few times, but, regardless, they still cared about him. They still do.

Sasuke finished putting the slip of paper into the hawk's right talon before it flew off to deliver the message to Suna.

He looked around the broken village, people all around were crying after losing the people they cared most about. Surely enough, Sasuke wasn't going to let the Akatsuki get away with this.

"Sasuke..." A voice trailed off.

"What's wrong, Shikamaru?"

He turned to face the boy. "Where's Naruto??" He asked in worried tone.

The mention of his friend's name soon brought everyone else close to them, they've all heard the news about Naruto still being alive by Ino.

Sasuke looked down at the ground. "Naruto..." He trailed off. Saying his name felt a bit too much for Sasuke, even after thinking he had died long ago. "Isn't coming back.." He finished.

Everyone around almost gasped. "B- But why?? He defeated Pein, which means he's on our side right?" Choji said.

"What's he doing out there?" Ino asked.

"He... he's not on our side.." Sasuke said truthfully. "He said it himself that he wants nothing to do with us, he..."

Sasuke didn't want to finish that sentence. He never wanted to think of Naruto as an enemy ever again, not ever. But reality in this situation sucks, he had to accept it.

"He's an enemy, at least to the village..." He finished.

The rest of murmured. Enemy? Naruto, an enemy? They didn't want to believe it at all. Perhaps he's just trying to help out somehow.

"Wait, why not just bring the guy back right now? He's our age and-"

Karin hits Suigetsu on the back of his head. "Easier said than done, baka!" She raised her voice.

"We're not too fond of this Naruto boy, you all speak of but clearly, Suigetsu, the boy took down many Akatsuki members, and just now defeated all 6 Pein's, alone." Jugo responded.

All the conversations were put to a stop once paper started forming right by Sasuke. The same woman Sasuke battled, Konan, appeared with the same stoic expression.

"Akatsuki!" Choji called.

Everyone got alert and Sasuke activated his Sharingan. He eyed the woman as he took out his sword and had the Chidori run through it.

The woman made wings and floated in the air, looking down upon them all. "We mustn't fight.." Konan told them.

"You got a lot of nerve saying that, after the destruction you've caused!" Ino shouted.

Sasuke raised his hand, silencing the rest. "If you're not here to fight, then what do you want?" He asked.

"Nagato, who you all refer to as Pein, wishes to have a word with Sasuke Uchiha, and ONLY Sasuke.." She told them.

"And you expect us to trust you? Look around! Look at what you've caused!" Kiba yelled.

"Many lives were lost, families lost many others. Your attack even resulted in killing my sensei.." Sasuke said. "What would you possibly want to talk about?"

Konan lowered herself to ground level again, her amber eyes met Sasuke's dark ones. "About Naruto.." She told him. "Nagato wishes to work something out with you, only if you come.."

"And if I don't?"

Konan almost rolled her eyes, she sighed impatiently. "Then you might not get your friends back." She told him.

Sasuke narrowed his eyes at her. "Also, I think it's time you learned about Naruto, and the reason why he's like this." Konan told him.

"Naruto, was apart of the Akatsuki?!" Ino said shocked.

"The boy was never involved much dangerous mission's, we'll explain why if you follow, Nagato's orders."

Sasuke did not show it, but he was both angry and worried. Worried that if he's gone then another Akatsuki member could attack. And he's angry because he's seriously about to follow orders from an enemy.

"Lead the way." Sasuke told her.

"Sasuke-kun.." Karin trailed off.

"It's alright, let Sakura and Hinata know about this, and Tsunade-sama.." He told her.

Konan puts her hand on Sasuke's shoulder as paper began going around them at such a fast pace, and in an instant, both of them were gone.

Gaara's POV

Gaara was on top of the Kazekage building looking over the village he's sworn to protect till the day he dies.

He had already died once, he's prepared for the worst, especially since his tailed beast was extracted from him.

Temari and Kankuro stood next to their brother. Ever since they heard of Naruto's "death" it really hit their younger brother, deeply. He spent days, even almost two months, in grief.

Temari and Kankuro both tried hard to get their brother out of the depression while also coping with the news, considering how Naruto was the one to bring Gaara back after the attack on the Leaf village.

"The Five Kage summit is in a few days, right?" Temari questioned.

"That's right.." Gaara responded.

"Think you can handle all the old people telling you all about war and all that other simple shit?" Kankuro chuckled.

"I wouldn't be surprised, I'm younger than them all, Tsunade must've had the worst of it too, considering she is part of the Legendary Sannin."

Temari nodded her head at those words. "Talked to Shikamaru, lately, Temari?" Kankuro joked.

"Why me?" She responded.

"Oh nothing, forget it.." He responded back.

"If you think I have feelings for that lazy bastard you must be out of your damn mind!" She exclaimed.

"I didn't say it was true now, did I?" Kankuro smirked. "I mean you saved him, when we'd visit the Leaf, you and him would just talk for almost a long time, not to mention that time you-"

Temari punched Kankuro in the gut and that sure did shut the boy up as he fell to his knees, clutching his stomach as he coughed a few times.

"Y- you... punch... hard." He let out.

"Say anything else, you're getting another to the head.." She said.

"W- Whatever... you know it's true..."

Temari grumbled a bit as she crossed her arms, she had her hands balled up just in case.

"Oi... Kankuro, take a hint.." Gaara told him. "There's times where you're not supposed to tell the truth.."

Temari nodded before processing his words, she gasped. "G- Gaara!!" She raised her voice.

"See, even he agrees." Kankuro smiled as he got back up.

He listened to the two bicker back and forth before noticing an eagle flying towards him. He let some sand go so the eagle can stand on it as Temari and Kankuro finished their bickering.

"Oi.. that's from Sasuke, right?" Temari asked.

"Yeah." Garra responded.

He took out the slip of paper as the eagle flew off. Sure enough, the letter is from Sasuke. Gaara read it carefully, it started off with Sasuke telling him that they're going to the Five Kage Summit, and that the village is completely destroyed.

But the words he saw next made him gasp and his eyes go big a bit.

"What's wrong?" Kankuro asked worriedly.

Gaara crumbled up the paper. "Oi, Gaara.. what's going on?" Temari asked.

"Konoha has been.. destroyed by the Akatsuki leader, many lives were lost.." Gaara told him.

Temari and Kankuro both looked a bit shocked. "Not only that.." Gaara continued. He turned to them both.

"Naruto is still alive..."

Sakura's POV

Sakura was sitting on top of broken cement from the collapsed buildings. It had been almost an hour since they found out Naruto's alive. She looked down at both of her hands, she was still having trouble processing that someone she thought died long ago, is still alive.

Not only that, but he won't even bother to come back to the village after years of mourning him. She frowned at the thought of him.

Not coming back? But... he's apart of the Leaf, he saved the village when Gaara's tailed beast broke out.

"Sakura.."

Could this be my fault? A- Am I the reason he's like this? I don't think I can live any longer without him, especially since he's actually alive..

"Sakura."

Sakura was snapped out of her thoughts as she looked over to see Hinata standing there. The shy Hyuga had a worried look.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

Sakura frowned again. She couldn't lie snd say she's fine, she's feeling even worse than she did when the village got destroyed. "Just... thinking.." She told her.

Hinata stood next to her, already knowing what she was thinking about. It's obvious enough.

"It's almost like that time when Sasuke left.." Sakura said. "His words, Hinata. Naruto's words, you don't think he possibly meant it right?"

Sakura looked up at Hinata waiting for an answer. Hinata kept the same expression.

"No way. Not the Naruto-kun I know. He wouldn't dare kill the people he's used to be around and go missions on.." Hinata responded.

"But, Sasuke almost did it to him. When they came back, I saw a hole in Naruto's stomach, Sasuke admitted that he was the cause of Naruto almost dying." Sakura responded.

"Naruto-kun, isn't Sasuke-kun." Hinata told her. "Naruto-kun... he's just... well..."

"Lost?" Sakura helped out.

"If you want to put it that way..." Hinata told her. "Watch, when this is all over, we'll all go and get him."

"How can you be so sure?" Sakura asked. "How can we expect him to just come back to us without trouble? We already tried earlier and-"

Hinata grabbed Sakura's hand with both of her's to help comfort her a bit. "I know, because we have the strength to do it." Hinata whispered. "We must always remember the good things, he's done, not the bad things.."

Sakura slightly smiled, Hinata sure was building up hope for her. When she was about to speak again, they both saw green beams coming down upon them and barely had time to react.

"W- What is this?!" A shinobi questioned.

Sakura watched as the green beams hit the people that laid on the ground dead. The bright light shined around the bodies for a bit, before fading.

To their surprises, the people they thought died then began to slowly lift their heads and sit up. Sakura gasped in shock and so did Hinata. "Hinata..." Sakura trailed off, she was at a loss for words.

They both heard footsteps and light groan. "Sakura..." The manly voice said.

Sakura and Hinata both turned around to see Kakashi standing there, both his eyes were visible with his mask slightly torn, but not to the point where they could fully see his face.

Sakura gasped before wrapping her arms around him. "Ow.." He said as he felt pain in his arms.

Sakura smiled as she finally decides to let go. Kakashi-sensei smiled, and they could tell because his eyes slightly closed as his eyebrows rose up.

He reached in his back pocket and took out the orange colored book he would always read. Sakura almost face palmed at this.

"Still in good condition.." Kakashi said. He turned his attention back to them. "What happened here?" He asked.

"Pein.." Hinata responded. "Don't worry, the Pein bodies are all dead, but Shikamaru said that one of the Akatsuki members took Sasuke to the real Pein.."

Kakashi sighed in relief. "Sasuke, took down all those Pein bodies huh? Impressive.." He said.

"No... he didn't.." Sakura said.

Kakashi looked confused again. "If he didn't then who did?" He asked.

Sakura sighed, as much as she would want to enjoy this reunion of her sensei coming back to life, she had to still explain everything.

"We need to talk..." She told him.

Time Skip

Naruto's POV

It's a much colder night than usual. The wind blew as the grass quivered against the blond's feet as he sat on the tree.

Normally, he would have lots of energy like he did back then, but having to deal with 6 Pein's was enough to drain all the energy he had left. He was in desperate need of sleep.

Naruto Uzumaki desperately needing sleep? I'm surprised.

Coming from the one who sleeps every chance he gets. Damned lazy fox.

Can't argue that... but then again, I can't blame you for needing desperate sleep.

Appreciate the help for taking down all of them.

No problem, kit.

In an instant, Naruto closed his eyes and immediately drifted off to sleep. His chest rising with every breath he took as the wind blew against his hair.

The blond then found himself somewhere... strange.

He looked around and didn't see anything. Everything was a bright white. It seemed as if he were to walk, it would be endless.

"This must be a dream.." He said to himself.

"Wow, you sure are growing..." He heard a voice say.

In an instant, Naruto turned around and saw a man.

The man had blond hair just like Naruto but slightly longer, blue eyes, the man also had a Leaf headband. But what surprised Naruto a bit was that this man had on a cloak with red flames at the bottom, on the back of the cloak it said Fourth Hokage.

"You don't look much surprised.." The Yondaime said.

"Because I don't know you, but I know about you.." Naruto responded.

"Is that so?" The man asked.

"Yeah... I would sit here and talk, but I don't want to waste my time." Naruto told him as he turned away.

"Waste your time?" The man repeated him. "You don't want to talk with me, Naruto?"

Naruto eyes almost widened in shock.

He knows my name?

Naruto turned back around and looked at the Fourth Hokage, his eyes glared at him. "How do you know my name??" He asked him.

The Fourth Hokage hummed. He slightly chuckled at Naruto's reaction. "Simple. I named you.." He responded.

"I mean.. you are my son.."

Those words repeated again in Naruto's head. The blond teen eyes got bigger, he looked at the man, who is supposedly his father, in the eyes.

"S- Son..?" Naruto repeated. "S- So.. y- you're... my..." He trailed off.

The Fourth nodded. "Yep.. I'm your dad, Naruto."

Naruto's eyes still stayed on the man. He didn't want to believe this at first, but it seemed true enough.

Both of them have blond hair, Naruto's eyes were blue before they were replaced with Sharingan eyes that turned them black.

Naruto is basically a spitting image of The Fourth.

As if it wasn't possible, after Jiraiya's death, tears began to spill out of Naruto's eyes, soon trailing down his cheeks. The Fourth kept his smile on his face.

"Well, son... how've you been?" He asked.

Naruto fells to his knees, he tried to wipe his tears. After years of not knowing who is father was, he couldn't help but continue to cry. He actually found out who is dad is, it seemed to good to be true.

He looked back up at The Fourth and said the one word he had always wanted to say, to the right man.

"Dad.."

"If a man hasn't discovered something that he will die for, he isn't fit to live."
