Green Arrow and the Flash just completed bringing every being, from Team Arrow and Team Legends, that has recently been conscious, under the influence of Darkseid. Everyone imprisoned in pipeline. They slept tranquilly, not dosed, but completely knocked out.
"You sure this will hold them?", Oliver asked, worried that a chance may occur when they could break out.
"Oliver, these cells are made to nullify their metahuman powers", Barry deemed. "Majority of them have their weapons taken out. No biggie".
Oliver moves his hand, to scratch his head, to ease his anxiousness.
"I hope you're right", Oliver lined. "Cause the last thing we want, is for them to be free from their confinements, whilst under a New God's deadly influence".
"New God?", Barry followed, given a nod from Oliver. "Is that what their species are called?".
"Apparently"
The two soon come to notice Felicity walking up to them.
"Don't worry, they are safely locked. They won't come out", Barry assured Felicity, supposing that's why she came here.
"I'm flattered we don't have to cry ourselves for their uncontrollable riot", Felicity expressed. "But that's not why I'm here". She then turns to Oliver, whom levels with her the same.
"Oh", said Barry, discerning the pasture between Oliver and Felicity. "I'll go and check on Wally", Barry excused himself, giving his two friends their space. They all heard that Wally tried to hold back. He eventually failed, which led to his bruises and slight injuries.
After Barry left, Felicity and Oliver are alone. Oliver knew it would come, the hour that would conjure on them. They once shared a romantic scene before, though it was a trap to lure Deathstroke, in which he fell for.
"We haven't spoken for years you know", Felicity brought up. "No one. Not Laurel, John, me. Not even Tommy or Thea. Not even your own parents. You weren't seen anywhere since the conflict with the League of Assassins". Oliver turned around, not too bought to hear his past disputes. "And now for you to suddenly turn up froze all our hearts. How could you not tell us you were in another world? Why didn't you contact us?".
"You wouldn't understand even if I tell-"
"Tell me what?!", Felicity exclaimed, acting like she is a wife too him. "That you spent almost two years in that alien's world. The woman you fell-".
"That is none of your concern!", Oliver yelled, spinning back to sharpen his gaze on her. Felicity was frightened to perceive this side of him. Even Oliver realised it himself at what he utilised in his tone. Latter takes a deep breathe, to calm himself down. "Look Felicity, the past is the past. I made a choice, and I did it. I knew how much Star City would've corrupted me. By remaining in Supergirl's world, I could see the change in me. My own darkness faded away. One I thought Slade was going to mutate me into".
Felicity couldn't benefit to think why the man she adores has suddenly surpassed his residence in Star City. Star City was his home.
"And the reason why I'm avoiding my friends. Including you and John. Is to be sure that I wouldn't uplift the spirit in my home-city. We formed a bond, out of my crusade. A crusade that I never intentionally tried to add new allies. Only to be advised by my sister", Oliver explained. "To justify my actions. I was an idiot. Only thing it ushered was pain and tragedy".
"Don't quote it from some Knight film trilogy, I believe there is hope. We made it, extended a branch"
"Yeah", Oliver ironically agreed. "By adding new recruits. The newbies". Same phrase he recalled Sara use on her team.
On the track to going further to their argument, an announcement was heard from the speaker-devices, that had been embedded in all parts in rooms, in S.T.A.R. Labs.
"Guys, you may wanna come down here", Cisco requested, by the use of speakers. "The green man and Supergirl came back".
After overlooking the directed speakers, Oliver and Felicity pinned their instances on each other, before walking forward.
