"Good luck, guys. Stay safe." Jaune waved as Team PBNY boarded the bullhead for their first official mission.
"Be careful out there, Yang." Ruby stood next to him, addressing her big sister.
"Oh don't worry about a thing!" Nora assured them. "We're a tough bunch of ladies to take on. No Grimm's gonna get in our way!" She declared.
"Yeah. Now don't get into any trouble while I'm gone, Ruby." Yang added. The reaper snorted at this.
"Like it isn't the other way around." The youngest huntress muttered.
"Come back in one piece, Nora." Ren finally spoke up.
"I'll make sure she doesn't get too crazy." Nora's partner assured Ren. The ninja gave Blake a nod of thanks.
"Come now, children! No more time to waste!" Professor Port declared boisterously. He was to be their Huntsman supervisor- definitely unfortunate, but they could've been stuck with Doctor Oobleck instead, which would've been a real tragedy.
With no more time to say goodbyes, one half of the dream team PBNYJWLR flew off into the distance, out to help those in need.

[OK]
The end of an era, it seemed. Hopefully, the two teams wouldn't be seperated for very long. They had all come to rely on each other in some form or another, even if they didn't all always get along.
"So what now?" Weiss asked. She didn't have anybody to specifically say goodbye to, but she showed up to see everyone off regardless. It was odd to think that all the way back at the beginning of the first semester, the heiress had nobody. But now, she had seven people willing to watch her back, and would do the same for them. This went for Jaune as well.
"Well, I need a holster for my new revolver. I can't just keep looping weapons in my belt all the time. So should we head into Vale?" Jaune offered an idea.
"You also need ammunition." Ruby reminded him. "And a holster for your scythe. I mean, really. I spent all that time teaching you how to use a scythe and you never carry it around anymore!" The complaint wasn't a real one, but Jaune felt the need to defend himself.
"Well, I didn't think I should use it after what happened with Weiss."
"What? You mean when your scythe cut right through my aura and nullified my semblance?" The heiress questioned without any sign of stress. She pulled up her sleeve and showed off the scar that had formed from Jaune's doing. "I still have no idea how you have a weapon like that, but if this is what it can do to me, then you should definitely be using it when we fight the White Fang and other terrorists."
"It can nullify a semblance?!" Ruby cried out. "That's it! We're going to Vale and getting you a holster for your weapons. I will not allow you to walk around with just a sword and shield, completely neglecting the absolute power that is your scythe!"
"It just doesn't feel right to use." Jaune tried to explain himself. "I don't want to hurt more people like I hurt Weiss."
"For tournament settings and in class, no, you shouldn't use the scythe." The heiress agreed. "But when we go out and try to stop criminals, you absolutely should. Roman Torchwick has aura. His assistant Neo has aura. If you were able to hit them with that scythe even once in a fight, they would be most definitely captured by the police. It's like a trump card, if the card could flip the table and shoot the other player."
"Right…" The team leader felt a little awkward agreeing to that, considering that he was secretly working with Roman and Neo, but the point was still made. For people like Cinder Fall or Adam Taurus, the scythe would really come in handy. "I guess it's decided then. We're going to Vale. Ren are you-"
Jaune turned around to address his partner, only to find that the ninja had vanished.
"He left as soon as the bullhead did." Ruby explained. "Now, come on! The next airship to Vale is in five minutes!"
"Try this." Ruby offered yet another pair of holsters. As it turned out, trying to equip three weapons at once was actually rather difficult- at least, if comfort was also a factor.
"It's the same problem as the last one," Jaune complained. "I really don't think strapping the scythe to my back will work. It just doesn't feel right to reach all the way behind to get it."
"You just have to get used to the motion." The reaper assured him, making sure the holster was properly fitting. "I carried my scythe on my back all the time. Once you get in some practice, you can equip the scythe just as fast as you would your sword."
"I don't know about that. I think you can equip your scythe super fast because your semblance is super speed." He rebutted. "Speaking of which, where is your scythe?"
"Oh, everywhere." She responded casually.
"Everywhere? What does that mean?"
"Right now, Crescent Rose is in camouflage mode. All the pieces are hidden within the lining of my pants and jacket. All I need to do are a few quick button presses and it will fully form itself in my hand."
"That's crazy." Jaune shook his head. "I still can't believe you're able to come up with something like that- let alone build it." Ruby shrugged.
"It's nothing." She said modestly. He was about to argue, but he was suddenly struck with the feeling that something was missing. Or rather… Someone.
"Where is Weiss? How long does it take to find an employee in this store?" The leader of Team JWLR asked in concern for his subordinate.
"I don't know…" Ruby frowned, gaining the same feeling he did. "But not this long. It's been nearly twenty minutes by now."
"Come on, let's find her." Jaune ordered, praying that nothing bad had happened to the heiress.
They searched the store for a bit and came up empty handed. Weiss was nowhere to be found. Ruby tried calling her, but still, no luck. Finally, Jaune approached one of the workers and asked if he had seen where Weiss had gone.
"The pretty girl with the white hair? Yeah, I saw her." He explained without any enthusiasm.
"Really? Where?" Jaune jumped on the lead.
"She was being carried by four men with Grimm masks on. They exited out the back." The employee said, again, completely emotionless.
"What?! Did you call the police?"
"No."
"Why not?!" Jaune was finding it hard to believe the idiocy of this worker.
"I don't know, man. I get paid minimum wage. I don't have time for that kind of shit." The worker finally showed some emotion in the form of indignation, walking away from a dumbshocked Jaune.
"Ruby!" Jaune called out. Immediately, the girl with super speed appeared in front of him.
"What is it? Did you find a lead?" Weiss' partner asked.
"Yeah, but you're not gonna like it."
"Ah crap, what happened now?"
"I think she was kidnapped by the White Fang."
"…"
"Ruby?"
"…We really can't go a single trip into Vale without running into those guys, can we?"
"I guess not." He agreed.
As they stood there, thinking about what to do next, Jaune suddenly received a call on his scroll- from Weiss!
"Weiss? Are you okay?" Jaune immediately asked. The call was voice only, so he couldn't immediately confirm that the heiress was okay.
"She can be," An unmistakable, sultry, voice said. "But only if you come to the address I send you within the hour. Alone."
"Cinder." Jaune snarled into the scroll. "I swear, if you hurt her-!"
"Relax, hero." The criminal mastermind ordered. "I'm not an ammateur. I know that the love interest is never harmed beyond being knocked out and kidnapped until the hero arrives. Just get here and I won't have to break that tradition." Before Jaune could say anything more- like how Weiss wasn't his love interest- Cinder Fall hung up.
"Fuck."
Did anybody notice the TeamFourStar reference in there? I couldn't help myself, the comparison was just too good to pass up.
Until next time,
