Beep...beep...beep...beep...

What in the world is that sound? And where am I?

I tried open my eyes but I barely managed to pry it open a bit.

As in took in what I could see it looked like I was in a Capsule of some-sort?

Everything was so hazy.

I tried to move my arms but I could barely twitch at all.

Then I heard something.

Warning. Breach in Cryogenic Array

Patient #66 has regained partial consciousness.

Reintroducing Anaesthesia.

Initiating Backup Cryogenic Array System.

What?

Where was I?

Where is Shirone?

As I tried to access my mana, I felt my eyes becoming heavy again and I felt like I was freezing.

Cold...

So cold...

With a gasp, my eyes snapped open and I sat up taking in my surroundings as I breathed in and out and tried to calm myself down.

I was in the temple, Shirone was sleeping peacefully beside me and alright.

Holy hell...that was one scary dream.

I could sense Kariya and Sakura a few meters away and released a sigh that I hadn't realised I was holding as lay back down.

I shook my head. That wasn't important, no. What was important that Shirone was alright and asleep.

It was the middle of the night which meant it was time to wake up.

As I finished that thought, I felt a pulse of mana wash over me and my head snapped to the direction it came from.

That was a huge amount of mana someone had just used especially for a mana pulse to be that large.

I quickly changed into my Merlin costume and transformed before I left the Temple taking to the air with a flap of my wings as i climbed up and broke the sound barrier once more.

It took me a few minutes to arrive where the mana burst came from, as I came to a halt in mid-air and watching the battle proceeding below.

A battle between Kings.

Iskandar, the King of Conquerors.

Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes.

I had come at the end of the battle as witnessed Ea, THE Anti World Noble Phantasm, being used as a mere dagger to stab Iskandar through the chest as he coughed up blood.

I remained silent even as his body slipped down and hit the ground.

Iskander was dead.

No, he had simply returned to the throne.

I, on the other hand, am still alive.

I watched silently as Gilgamesh vanished in a glitter of gold and left behind a sobbing Waver Velvet who stood over his Kings now cooling body.

I had to find a way home.

If I couldn't purify the grail then I would have to use fund another way. And the only person that I know in the fate that has the magic to travel between worlds is Zelretch.

Which means I have to find a way to contact him.

If I remember correctly the Tohsaka had Ruby somewhere. I wonder if I can trade it for something...

Nodding to myself, with my mind made up, I turned and flew towards the church.

"Welcome to the Church, how may this servant of the Lord aid you, Caster?"

"Thank you, Father Risei." I nodded to him respectfully and gave a second nod to Kirei who stood beside him before turning back to the old priest. "I was hoping to make a deal with the Tohsaka master and came here because I was hoping you had a way to contact him?"

"Hmmm, may I ask what kind of deal it is?"The old priest asked suspicious of my motives.

"In exchange for an item they have, I will withdraw myself from the war and I will not fight unless someone attacks me or my master or it is a threat that could destroy humanity, and that will only neutralize the threat." Risei's eyes widened at that not expecting something like that before he managed to compose himself a second later.

"I see. Very well, I shall contact Tokiomi. Please have a seat."

I turned to Kirei as he left before I grinned. "I take it my advice has been helpful?"

"Indeed. I did not know I could feel such joy without sinning, nay, I did not know how to." Kirei actually let out an honest smile as he seemed to think back to something he might have done. Before he gave a short bow. "Thank you for your advice, Caster."

I nodded and Risei returned saying that he could escort me to Tokiomi if I wished.

It was quite manipulative, as expected of Magus, instead of meeting on neutral grounds like the church he offered to treat me as a guest in his house.

Where he had all his bounded fields and a Gilgamesh. If Gilgamesh even bothered to stay at all though since I am technically a servant and he can't order Gilgamesh around it is even.

So I accepted it.

We came to a stop in front of the Tohsaka mansion, Tokiomi was dressed and in front of the gate ready to greet us.

"Greetings and Welcome. Caster. Please come in. You wish to discuss something important yes? It won't do for prying eyes to listen in."

I nodded as I followed him in and Risei followed behind me.

The sound of the metal gate slamming shut sounded a bit ominous."

Tokiomi sat in his office and I sat in front of him with Risei standing to my side ready to intervene or at least put up an act of intervening.

He offered some wine and I accepted it taking a sip.

Tokiomi took a sip of his red wine before sitting the glass down.

"So, Caster, you wish to make a deal with me?"

I nodded. "There is something the Tohsaka family has that I wish to obtain. For it, I am willing to give up on the grail."

He turned to face me, surprise and wonder etched on his face. "Truly? And what is it that you desire from us that you would give up the grail for? The Grail can grant any wish can it not?"

I nodded that was true. " That is true." I agreed. "But there is There is someone I wish to contact, someone who is living and can grant me my wish just as well if not better than the grail can. However, I do not know any other way to contact him other that one of the artefacts that you, the Tohsaka have."

He tilted his head. "I see." He said quietly as he turned and seemed to ponder on the deal. "May I ask which artefact, you wish to acquire?"

"I am searching for Ruby or Sapphire."

He looked at me a bit confused for a second before refocusing. "I assume that those are the names of the artefacts and not gemstones?" I nodded.

"Hmmm, I don't recall either of them..." before he froze before he turned to me his eyes serious. "Wait, I remember now we do have them but there is a problem."

"What seems to be the problem?"

He let out a tired sigh. "I have never actually seen what they look like." He paused. "Those two artefacts are sealed. My mother warned me never to open them as they are in her words " The most horrible cursed items she had ever seen in her life. " she also mentioned being unable to destroy it so she instead sealed them in a box with several anti curses and Sealing runes. " he paused taking a sip of his red wine once more. "I do not know why you need them but do be careful. Though I would request that a geass contract be signed."

"Very well." I agreed "As long as I am not attacked or there is no threat to humanity I will not fight in the grail war."

"What about your master?"

"She has no interest in it either."

"Very well. Let us proceed with the contract."

I left the Tohsaka house through a Gate that I opened and stepped through to. My room before closing the gate behind me before I dispelled my Merlin disguise and put down the two boxes covered in seals. Tokiomi had unlocked it for so all I needed now was to open it.

Gently placing it down as to not to disturb Shirone I slowly opened the first box.

I expected the box to fly open and Ruby literally flying at me screaming but this time I was lucky... Or maybe I had the devil's luck seeing as i was literally a devil.

It was Sapphire who slowly floated up as if realising she was free as she took in her surroundings before she turned to me.

"Ah, Greetings. I am Magical Saphire, and may I request your name?"

Hmmm, you know what, I think I like Sapphire.

I gave a short bow before sitting down Japanese style.

"I am Rias Gremory, Princess of the House of Gremory. A pleasure to meet you sapphire."

Sapphire gave a short bow as well. "Thank you for freeing me from the seal. It was quite constricted in there. Now then I do have a small request."

"Yes?"

"Would like to be a Magical girl?"

My smile broadened. That was not what I was expecting but I would take it. In fact, it would help me with the one thing that kept me from overpowering anyone and just blasting my way through the grail war.

My limited amount of mana.

If I accepted this, then I no longer had to rely on the leylines to provide me with Mana, I would have infinite mana.

But there was a problem, I was a servant and I didn't have a real body... Oh my fucking god I have been so stupid... I could have made one for myself as i did with Iskander.

"I would love to accept it but... I think you will have to wait for a moment you see..."

And so I began to tell her my story, excluding the fact that I was reincarnated.

"Maiya report."

"Caster has left the war."

Kiritsugu's cigarette dropped from his mouth in surprise.

"Explain."

"From the cameras, we have planted near the church Caster seems to have made a deal for an artefact the Tohsaka possessed in exchange for leaving the grail war completely and he stated that he will not fight unless he or his master is attacked or there is a threat to mankind. "

Kiritsugu took a breath.

Normally a servant leaving the grail war would be news to celebrate as it was one less contestant for the grail. The problem was that the servant was still alive. Which meant the grail would not charge.

But it did remove an enemy from the board at least till the end which meant he could breathe a bit easier.

Hmm, Tohsaka was a magus, so he likely had caster sign a Geas Contract to stay out of the war.

Which meant that he would not be able to attack Saber or Irisviel unless they attack him first.

He could use this.

"Irisviel, how would you like to pay Caster and his master a friendly visit?"

He watched as Iri squeed in joy to get a chance to meet the Nekomata master.

Then pain filled his heart again at the reminder of what he had to do to his wife in order to bring world peace.

It hurt.

It hurt so much.

Was there no other way?

He wished he could run away together with Iri and Illyasviel.

But then Iri didn't have long.

She was the container of the Grail.

For some reason after Lancer's Master was defeated and with Berserker gone as well, he expected Iri's condition to get worse, but strangely it didn't happen as it did when Iskandar died.

Which meant Lancer was still Alive, and it was likely Berserker was alive as well.

However, Kariya seemed much healthier compared to before... Which meant he no longer had berserker.

So Berserker had switched masters then?

That would make sense.

He needed more information.

Especially information on who Berserker and Lancelot's new masters were.
