Heavenly blades

Shirou had decided he needed to finish the reforge for the twin swords now. Of course the first obstacle was he needed to find the new pieces for it's legend. It needs a purpose of creation, a purpose in combat and new materials.

He decided to work backwards. Materials first. Orichalcum the metal that shon like the highest quality gold would be his choice, it was the metals that Solar's were best with so it would be a natural fit.

Now he just needed it's twin purposes. For that he needed other stories. He wandered the hills of blades to look for a blade which held a story he would like to use.

He sort out a blade whose story could boost the blades and found something that he would have thought to be insane to reforge. Arondight, a divine construct.

He took it with him and examined it in the building. Eventuall he picked out the part he wanted for his story, leaving the rest alone. The line he picked, the reason that the new twin blades would exist was thus; "It was given only to someone who could be exalted as the "perfect knight", the strongest, bravest and truest knight of an era" He was about to put the blade back before he took another line from it "deals additional damage to the dragon-attribute".

He returned the now lessened Arondight to the hills and sort out a reason for the blades to exist. He pondered the need for that phrase as surely it only needed to be "Forged for the protection of it's creator." instinctively he knew it was a valid piece but he still searched the hills for another.

He eventually settled on Harpe. From it's story he took "used to slay immortal monsters."

So in the end he placed the new story of the twin blades out

"Kanshou and Bakuya: [ ] /married twin swords representing Yin and Yang/crafted for the sake of crafting/Weapon of the "Perfect Knight", the strongest, bravest and truest knight of an era/used to slay immortal monsters/Made out of the legendary metal of the sun/strong affinity against monsters, dragons and those weak to sunlight"

By introducing new elements to the story he had vastly expanded the strength of the weapons. With that would likely come an increase in cost but due to his new Exalted reserves he would likely still be able to use them mostly freely. Not only could in now do bonus damage against more than monsters but due to the power of Arondight it would boost his strength and skill whenever he held one.

It seemed though that he needed to give it a new name. So he choose simply.

"Kanshou and Bakuya: Curving heaven"

The metal was forged, the story was written. The blades now understood their place in creation.

Shirou woke up.

He got out of his hammock and went to the top deck.

It was early morning, the sun had only just risen. Shirou knew that later that day they would reach the port on the blessed isle they were travelling to. There it was likely another battle would face them but he was more confident now.

He felt confident that he would now be able to take on any dragon-blood in single combat. Not just because of the reforged twin blades but because he felt a change within his soul. He knew he could now use magic to improve his skill with weapons like Rai and the enemy dragon-blood did.

As he looked out into the sky north of them he considered other reforging work he would have to do. Caladbolg II would have to be reforged, it was one of the best weapons to be used in a war due to it's explosive nature. Hrunting too for it's sniping use. Maybe he could even forge them together.

Shirou shook his head. His world of blades was endless so it would take a massive amount of time to reforge them all. He would only be able to reforge the best pieces.

In the end that was all he could do.

I know it's short but I got started late and wanted to finish writing before I had to do other things.

Side note: Still not sure about the new name for Kanshou and Bakuya, I am accepting other names. Also If you want to see any interesting reforged NPs you would want to see send them in and I'll add them to the list I have.
