I Didn't Have A Choice-Ch 32
Derek looked at Tabby as she said, "would you like to cut the cord daddy"?, Derek nodded his head yes and she said, "alright just cut between the clamps". Derek took the scissors and did what Tabby said, Tabby then cleaned the baby off and said, "would you like to hold him mommy"?, Penelope said, "him, did you say him"?, Tabby said, "I did, congratulations, it's a boy" as she handed the crying baby over to Penelope.
Penelope said, "awwww handsome, look, look at what we did", Derek kissed her lips gently and then kissed the top of his sons head and said, "he's beautiful just like his mommy". Penelope said, "hi there little man, I'm your mommy and this handsome handsome man is your daddy and we both love you so so much".
Tabby smiled as she started sewing Penelope up, she then looked at Penelope and said, "I'm sorry you two but we need to take him and get him cleaned up, weighed and measured". Penelope and Derek gently kissed their son on the forehead before Penelope handed him over to Tabby.
Derek looked at Penelope and said, "you did it, you did it baby girl", she said, "I couldn't have done it without you handsome, without you and our amazing family". Derek said, "we need to decide on a name for him", she nodded her head and said, "I have the perfect name".
He said, "oh you do huh"?, she said, "I do", Derek said, "alright momma, don't keep me in suspense"?, she wiggled her finger and he leaned down and she whispered a name into his ear. He smiled and said, "I love it baby girl, it's perfect for him", she said, "I think so too, a strong name for a strong little boy".
Tabby said, "alright Penelope, I'm going to move you to recovery for a few minutes and then move you into your room", she then looked at Derek and said, "she'll be in room 333 if you want to go ahead and get the others and head that way", Derek kissed his wife passionately on the lips and said, "I love you so much baby girl".
Penelope said, "and I love you hotstuff", he said, "I'll go get the others and we'll see you in a few minutes", she laid back against the pillows and smiled happily and said, "see you soon". She laid watching as he stepped out of the room, she was so happy, her son was here and her family was here, what else could she ask for.
Fran looked up to see Derek walking toward them, she said, "there's Derek", he smiled and said, "it's a boy", he was met with hugs by everybody as Reid said, "and Garcia"?, Derek said, "she's fine, she's in recovery, Tabby said that we could go ahead up to her room, it's 333 and that Penelope should be there in little while".
JJ looked at the three little boys and said, "alright we're going to head up to auntie Penelopes room where we'll soon get to see her and her little boy". The three little boys all said, "yessssssss, awightttttttt", causing Derek to laugh as he turned around and headed toward the elevator.
They all climbed onto the elevator and as the doors closed Hotch said, "so how are you feeling daddy"?, Derek said, "this is one of the happiest days of my life, I can't believe he's here". Fran said, "you didn't tell us the babies name", Derek said, "I'm going to let Penelope tell you, the name was her idea".
JJ said, "no hints"?, Derek said, "nope, don't worry Jayje you only have to wait a few more minutes", JJ laughed and said, "alright, alright" as the elevator doors opened on the third floor and they all stepped off. About half an hour later Penelope was wheeled into the room, she smiled and said, "hello guys, have you been waiting long"?, Derek said, "not to long sweetness, how are you feeling"?, she said, "tired but amazing".
The nurse helped her out of the wheelchair and into bed, when she was comfortable the nurse Mia said, "are you ready to see your son now Penelope"?, Penelope nodded her head and said, "yes please". Mia said, "I'll be right back", they then watched as she turned around and disappeared out into the hall.
Derek leaned down and kissed her gently on the lips and said, "I love you", she said, "I love you too", they looked up to see Mia pushing the baby into the room in his little bed. When she got over to the side of the bed she said, "here you go Penelope" as she put the baby into her arms.
Penelope said, "everybody we would like for you to meet the newest member of the BAU and Morgan family Hank Spencer Morgan", Derek said, "Hank after pops and Spencer after the best little brother anybody could ask for". Fran and Reid were all smiles and Fran said, "oh honey it's a beautiful name".
Reid said, "I'm truly honored", Fran said, "your father would be so proud and happy if he were here", Penelope said, "we wanted him to have a strong name and we couldn't think of a stronger name". Penelope looked at Reid and said, "boy wonder would you like to hold your Godson and namesake"?, Reid said, "y y you want me to be his Godfather"?, Derek said, "if you're up for it, what do you say kid"?, Reid said, "I'd be honored".
Derek looked at JJ and said, "and Jayje we'd be honored if you would be his Godmother", she nodded her head and said, "of course, it would be my honor to be his Godmother". As Penelope looked around the room at her family and friends, old and new she knew that she had the best of everything and it was all right there in the room with her.
She laid her head down on her husbands shoulder and closed her eyes, it was only a matter of a few minutes before she had drifted off to sleep, Derek laid her down gently and covered her up. He kissed her on the forehead and said, "sleep good baby girl, sleep good".
The family all sat laughing, talking and holding the baby as the very exhausted momma slept
