Jay stood in front of the mirror trying to adjust his tie. He sighed in frustration pulling it lose. He sat down on the bed with his head in his hands.

"Here" Quinn said kneeling down in front of him.

She tied and adjusted it so that it was perfect. She left her hand on his chest.

"Thank you" He said placing his hand over hers.

Quinn knew he was been struggling with his grief and his anger since they had found the people responsible. She was worried about him, but she didn't want to push too hard, she just wanted him to know she was there for him. He put on his gloves and jacket and placed his hat under his arm. She had picked out just a simple black shift dress and her heels.

The church was full of officers in their dress clothes. Alvin's wife was sat at the front of the church.

Jay let her into the pew first and sat down beside her taking her hand. The service was beautiful but so sad. It was so clear how well loved and respected Alvin Olinsky had been. Jay along with his unit carried the casket to the hearse at the front of the church. Quinn wiped her eyes trying to hold it all together.

She sat on the arm of the chair Jay was sitting on at the wake. Everyone was telling their favorite stories about their friend.

Quinn looked up as a short brunette said hello to everyone. The whole of Jay's unit stood up to embrace the brunette. Jay looked like he has seen a ghost.

"Hi Jay" The brunette said.

"Erin" He said in disbelief.

Jay looked like he had been struck mute he was just staring at Erin.

"Quinn this is Erin, she used to work with us" Adam said running a hand through his hair.

"It's nice to meet you" She said politely.

"Erin this is Quinn" Jay said awkwardly coming to his senses "My wife"

Erin looked like that was the last thing she expected to hear come out of Jay's mouth. It didn't seem like it was easy for Jay to tell her either.

"I was hoping we could talk" Erin told him.

Quinn raised an eyebrow as Jay agreed and followed her outside telling Quinn that he would be right back. She looked at Adam who was avoiding eye contact with her. She knew he was the weakest link in the group.

"Adam, what am I missing?" She asked.

"Nothing" Adam replied shaking his head.

"For someone who works undercover you're terrible under pressure" She pointed out.

"They used to date" Adam shrugged.

Quinn could tell from Adam's face that it was a lot more than used to date. Jay had never told her about Erin.

She was feeling far too irritable to just sit around all the pitying looks she was getting. A wake was not the place she was going to explode either. She picked up her purse and stood up.

"Will you tell Jay I had to go but I'll see him at home" She said keeping her voice even.

Quinn got to her car when Will came running over to her. He put a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

"I saw you leaving, are you ok?" He asked.

"I don't know" She admitted looking down "Some woman called Erin shows up, your brother looks like he's seen a ghost, he managed to introduce me before going off to talk to her"

"He didn't tell you about Erin?" Will asked running a hand through his hair looking around.

"Does this look like the face of someone that knows?" She asked hand on her hip "Adam said they dated"

"Yeah they did" Will nodded.

"Were they serious?" She asked raising an eyebrow "How long ago did they split up?"

"I really think you should speak to Jay" Will told her.

Quinn felt sick. Just avoiding the question was giving her enough answers. She prayed she was being paranoid. Just falling prey to her insecurities like she always did. But there was something deep there that she didn't know about and it was killing her.

"I can't be here" She said shaking her head fumbling to find her keys "I can't do this"

"Hey" He said putting a hand on hers "Everything is ok, really"

"So, tell me what I'm missing" She demanded.

Will knew Quinn well enough to know she wasn't going to stop until she found out the truth.

"They lived together" He sighed "He was going to propose, I gave him Mom's ring and then she left town"

"This ring?" She asked eyes wide pointing at her own finger.

"I…" Will started.

Quinn pushed past him opening the car door and slamming it behind her as she put the car in drive.

Quinn wiped her eyes and took a deep breath as she drove. It was like Rachel and Finn all over again, Sam and Mercedes, Puck, and everyone. She was always second option.

"Are you crazy?" Jay demanded slamming the door shut behind him getting home about twenty minutes after her "Today wasn't hard enough you storm off and leave me?"

"How long between trying to give this ring to her did you give it to me?" She asked equally as angry.

"I should have told you about Erin" He sighed sitting down.

"You're damn right you should have" She said.

"She was just here for the funeral" He told her "You're making a big deal out of nothing"

"You lost your ability to speak, then you go off together and I'm left with no one wanting to tell me that the only reason you two ended is because she left, you were going to propose to her" She said shaking her head "That's not nothing"

"I'm your husband you should trust me" He said.

"How can I when you keep huge things like that from me?" She asked looking down.

Jay walked over to her and lifted her chin to look at him.

"Yes I loved Erin, and I was going to propose to her" He told her "I was heartbroken when she left, but then you came back into my life and I was glad I went through all of that. You are the best thing that has happened to me. I was caught off guard today, I hadn't seen her in a long time, not that I needed to be anymore sure but I know even more now that I am so happy you came back into my life"

"I'm sorry" She sighed leaning into him "I just couldn't stay there; I would have exploded"

"Things are in a good place for us" He said running a hand through her hair "I'm happy with things exactly as they are"

Quinn bit her lip and took his hand looking up at him.

"Jay I'm pregnant" She told him.
