Author Notes: This chapter is more about establishing the difference between the Dio Hueco and the Arrancar's powers with the former being godlike in comparison. More characters will be introduced in the following chapter as the history of the Dio Hueco's involvement is revealed through them in snippets.
I would say the Dio Hueco are the lesser of the two evils, the greater evil being the Diable, with the former being a potential dangerous ally to the heroes. As you probably guess, it's easily to tell who these guys were before they were Dio Hueco and that will play a big part in revealing wh actually ruled the cosmology before the Soul King came into the picture.

The one known as Tezcatlipoca observed towering building with a domed center surrounded by several large towers and smaller buildings. Atop the dome were five smaller towers. The implications were that they had been recently been refurnished. This was the palace of Los Noches.
"Such insolence. A palace's celling is the sky.," he said as he casually swiped his hand emitting purplish black energy towards the building.
Suddenly the tops of the buildings dissipated into nothing.
"Barragan should've known about keeping things the way we like it.," the one known as Chalchiuhtotolin snarled as he pointlessly kicked the sand.
"...I think he's either deposed or dead. Probably both. Either way, I'm gonna have a word with him when I get him revived.," the one known as Huēhuecoyōtl said as he scratched his head in dissatisfaction of realizing this truth.
"That Sōsuke didn't have the Deus Ex Machina. What do we do?," Centeōtl-Toci asked nervously.
"We interrogate whoever's inside and force them to realize who's in charge.," said the one known as Xiuhtecuhtli as he began to create a turquoise flame in his hand.
Grimmjow then landed a few feet away from the Dio Hueco.
"That weird Gate vanished. And you show up. Did you do this?!," he demanded.
Huītzilōpōchtli glanced at the Arrancar and turned away dismissively. This made Grimmjow widen his eyes and grit his teeth.
Sure Aizen and Ichigo looked down at him for different reasons, the latter seeing him as an obstacle and the former seeing him as a pawn. This was different. It was like a bigger animal barely acknowledging a rat...no an insect not even worth the trouble. And that infuriated him.
"I thought Hueco Mundo would be covered by Gran Rey Hueco we could use for an army if the Vasto Lorde actually managed to live long enough to be able to do so. Instead we have these lesser deviants. Oh well, we can round up the remaining Vasto Lorde or force the Menos to evolve into Vasto Lorde. Maybe, some of our followers are still around to enforce the commands and be our eyes and ears as we build our empire in order to deal with the Life-Enders that sealed us on His orders and wait for the Deus Ex Machina wielder to come to us.," said the one known as Xolotl, showing a long term mindset, which the others agreed on
"It won't be the same without Xipe Totec or Quetzalcoatl.," lamented the one known as Mayahuel before Tezcatlipoca gave her an intense glare.
"The former left us with no clue where he is and the latter abandoned us...it's his fault that we're in this situation. Why we look like this.," the bandaged man said with twitched eyed raspy snarl, which made Mayahuel sulk in sadness.
"Hey, she was his wife. She misses him. Just like we miss home. Not this place. Our old home before it was destroyed by their hands.," Mictēcacihuātl-Ītzpāpālōtl said to the apparent leader.
"That's why we're trying to get the Deus Ex Machina.," Tezcatlipoca explained.
"Hey you!," Grimmjow shouted as he raised his Spiritual Pressure.
Tezcatlipoca placed his right hand on his forehead and sighed in exasperation as he turned to the one known as Tōnatiuh-Nanahuatzin, the sun-liked mane faced member of their group.
"Tonat. The vermin's irritating. Go play with it.," he said with a hint of annoyance.
"Tezcatlipoca...Can I kill it?," the sun faced Dio Hueco asked as his pupils became pinprick in size.
Tezcatlipoca nodded as the sun Dio Hueco displaced himself from the group to suddenly being a centimeter from a still yelling Grimmjow.
"You come here and dismiss the King of Hueco Mundo...," Grimmjow demanded before his eyes widened with shock as a large fist from the towering Dio Hueco came into contact with him.
The impact sent him burrowing into the underground and impossibly penetrating even the lowest floor as he was propelled further and further until Grimmjow opened his eyes.
He saw Hueco Mundo as a Massive from his perspective yet compared to the black void, a tiny orb in the emptiness.
The fuck!?, he thought as a Garganta of colossal size opened and the Dio Hueco who hit him emerged with his fingers and head peeping out- being as colossal in size.
"I'm Tōnatiuh-Nanahuatzin the former God and current Dio Hueco of the Sun, Fertility, Sacrifice, the East, Four Movements, and the Fifth Sun. He who goes forth shining and He who makes the Day. That's a long name...you can call me Tonat Nanahu because it's simple.," he said in a incredibly dim-witted and naive tone with a childish demeanor.
"Where the fuck am I?!," Grimmjow shouted, showing confusion and bewildered as he saw the maddening sight of the Dio Hueco stepping out of Garganta, currently at a size that would make the late Espada, Yammy a speck in comparison.
"You're in a Void between worlds because playing with you means Hueco Mundo goes poof if I play with you too rough.," he said as he slowly lunged at the shocked and possibly terrified Espada.
The blue haired Arrancar thought quickly as he cut his hand to emit blood. By mixing their own blood with a Cero, he could fire a Cero with much greater attack power and speed, in addition to having a change of color unique to himself, a blue color in his case. It would many times more powerful than a normal Cero.s Upon release, it spun like a razor as it compressed and decompressed due to the sheer speed and raw power. The Cero caused the fabric of space to warp as it traveled towards the hand and combusted.
Grimmjow had just a Gran Rey Cero, his ace outside of Resurrection.
"You need blood to use it. A Gran Rey Hueco would just do it as a basic maneuver. Lame.," Tonat's voice remarked much to Grimmjow's shock.
The hand brushed through the dust cloud as Grimmjow pulled out his Zanpakuto, a katana whose tsuba resembles a rigid, crooked "S," while the sheath and handle were light blue.
"Grind Pantera (Panther)!"
He held it up, like the start of a low sweep stroke, with his right hand. The sword glowed light blue as he put his left hand up to it. He then raked his hand along the length of the blade with a swift motion, while calling out its release command, which in turn released a torrent of spiritual power that created tremendous gusts of wind in the immediate vicinity.
His form became more feline and predatory. His teeth were now jagged and sharp, his hands turned into black claws and his feet became black clawed paws, similar to that of a cat, along with a slender whip-like tail that was longer than his body. His hair became very long and flowing, and the markings around his eyes enlarged and extended to the tips of his ears, which became swept back and cat-like. He losthis distinctive jaw mask, which was replaced by a sort of a headgear upon his brow covering his forehead. His clothing changed to become form-fitting white segmented armor, similar to his original Adjuchas-Hollow form. He had blades protruding from his forearms and his calve.
"Gran Rey Hueco? Dio Hueco? What even is that?! What the fuck are you?," the Espada demanded as he released a sonic boom that was ignored by the Dio Hueco. However, the plan was actually to use his enhanced speed to dodge it.
I was worried like if this was the airless space crap, but I can move just fine., thought the Arrancar with glee.
"Garra de la Pantera (Claws of the Panther)!," Grimmjow declared as five dark green, crystalline, unevenly cut stone dart shaped bombs wee fired at high speed from his elbow towards the hand, but they just dissipated from the Spiritual Pressure.
He wrapped his tail around one of the fingers, but the pressure of the hand blew the tail away along with his attempts to kick or scratch.
So Grimmjow used his ace in the hole.
"Desgarrón (Laceration)."
His claws glowed, as he made a slashing motion. Each claw became a long, sharp blade composed of Spiritual Particle- ten in total as he slashed all ten forward in order to hit the hand.
However, the Dio Hueco's face was covered in a black Spiritual Pressure before it dissipated to reveal something Grimmjow never expected.
An Aztec white Eagle like mask- much like a Visored.
Grimmjow looked in shock as his best attack was easily shattered and he was slapped upwards into the world of Hueco Mundo. Propelled until he was hovering in the sky while a Garganta opened and the Dio Hueco appeared in his previous size.
"Viva El Rey!," Tonat said as he put Grimmjow in a pile driver and slammed him into the sand, blooded and his ego shattered.
The Dio Hueco then leaped towards his colleagues as if the whole fight was some sort of amusement, which to him, it was due to the huge power difference.
Grimmjow got to his feet, willing to go another round in spite of his injuries before noticing the sands were becoming unnaturally wet.
This has to her..., he noted in his thoughts to his disgust.
The Dio Hueco then noticed five women approach from the main building.
"What the hell is this? The celling's gone?!," yelled an irritated woman's voice.
"Another attack from an enemy?!," said a calmer yet just as annoyed voice.
"I thought we wouldn't be dealing with any more enemies.," said a much calmer and sarcastic voice.
"Calm down. This is just another danger we will have to deal with.," said a stern feminine voice.
"Two former 3rd Espadas. Working together.," said a softer feminine voice.
"Espada...Wait, isn't that the name of our-," Tona asked before Huītzilōpōchtli waved his hand.
"I would prefer if thou wouldst not combat. It pains me to fight women.," he said quietly.
Tezcatlipoca then stepped forward in front of Huītzilōpōchtli.
"You can look the other way then. I'm little irritated and I need to let out some stress. Understand?," he said to the green flattop haired Dio Hueco who nodded reluctantly.
Grimmjow widened his eyes, rather than characteristically calling them out for interfering, he yelled out-
"Get the fuck out of there! They're...fuckin' monster...I don't know how to say this, but you can't beat them!,"
"It's not about if I can beat them. It's about needing to defeat them to save our people.,"said the softer voice.
The feminine Arrancar stepped forward to see the Dio Hueco.
A tomboyish female Arrancar with heterochromia: her right eye was ice blue, while her left eye was amber with a red outline around it. She had black, jaw-length hair. Her mask fragment was on the top of her head with a horn in the middle with a longitudinal red crest resembling a Roman legionnaire behind it. She had a blue lightning bolt tattoo on her left shoulder. She wore a black cloth underneath chest armor, black elbow-length gloves with armor on the back of her hands and the lower sections of her arms and white hakama.
Emilou Apacci- One of the Tres Bestias.
A dark-skinned, green iris-eyed Arrancar with long, thick, wavy brown hair and large breasts. Her Hollow hole is positioned mid-way between her navel and breasts. Her mask fragments form a three-sectioned crown around her head and a thick necklace, with a pair of long, bull-like horns protruding from the crown. She wore armor and a revealing, high collared top that didn't cover her breasts, exposing her white bra. She also wore a white cape with a purple gem hooking it around her neck. She wore a skirt made of strips of white fabric hanging from a red belt which was adorned by a purple clasp. She wore golden brackets around her right arm and leg as well.
Franceska Mila Rose- One of the Tres Bestias.
A slender female Arrancar with long, flowing, olive-green hair, long eyelashes, and lavender iris eyes, with three pink dots just below her right eye. Her mask remnants created three hair clip-like extensions on the right side of her bangs, which connected to a length of fabric, which draped over the right side of her head and her right shoulder.. She wore a furry black necklace around her neck. Her outfit consisted of a long white dress with long sleeves, which extend well past her hands, with a single slit in each one, and two thin belts criss-crossing around her waist. Her long white dress had a long slit, which extended from her upper thigh, the hem of her dress consisted of black fur, and she wore high-heeled shoes
Cyan Sung-Sun- One of the Tres Bestias.
A female Arrancar with olive skin, aqua green iris eyes, thick eyelashes, and short golden blonde hair; which she usually kept messy with three braided locks. She wore a variation of the Arrancar jacket with a high collar, which covers the lower part of her face downward, while baring a good portion of the lower half of her large breasts. The jacket had a zipper running along its entire length, which is opened from the bottom upwards. It had a beige air filter on either side just below the trim. The jacket's sleeves completely enveloped her arms, terminating in black glove-like extensions at her extremities, resembling the appearance of a cat's paw.
Tier Harribel- 3rd Espada
And lastly, a female, curvaceous, well-endowed Arrancar who has hazel eyes and long waving, green hair. She had a scar and a crimson line that ran across her face, and pronounced lower canine teeth. Her Hollow mask fragments had a ram like appearance with a pair of curved horns, but still missing some of its teeth. She wore a white, skintight outfit with tan fur lining around her hips. She donned white gloves with hoof-shaped gauntlets on her wrists that ended in tan fur, green fur sleeves extending to her elbows, red pauldrons on both shoulders, long white leggings that reached up to her mid-thighs, and traditional Arrancar shoes with heels shaped like ram hoofs; her upper arms and upper thighs were left bare.
Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck- Former 3rd Espada
"I don't know who you are, but you need to leave.," Neliel said to Tezcatlipoca.
This made Tezcatlipoca appear to smile behind his bandages.
"This place you live in? You should know we built this place. Hueco Mundo I mean. Forced to by that odiously vile Soul Kin-," he said before Harribel used Sonidō to displace herself and slash at the bandages, which revealed his face.
A handsome man with waist length dark purple hair with a black dot above his respective eyebrows and below his eyes- four in total and his red iris eyes looking more noticeable.
"That's a lie. It just came into existence.," she said before suddenly her hand began to shrivel up and become thin like a twig.
"A shark fears not moving and not being in water. Otherwise it dies.," he said, which forced Harribel back and her arm returning to normal.
Grimmjow was just as shocked, it wasn't an illusion, but it wasn't a permanent effect. And it didn't seem like the air dehydrated or anything. It was bizarre.
"Lady Harribel!,"Emilou shouted with concern.
What the hell was that?!, the former Espada thought with panic.
"What did you do?," Neliel demanded.
"You're smart. Learn about what your enemy's powers are. No one's going to give you a free pass unless they're idiots.," Tezcatlipoca said in response.
Suddenly, a voice shouted-
"Lord Tezcatlipoca and the Dio Hueco have returned! Viva El Rey!"
Neliel turned in shock as she said-
"You!"
