Part Of Me?
Chapter 39.
"Ricky, you'll wear a hole in the floor" Brax said, watching his wife pace the floor.
Ricky looked at him. "How can you be calm about this?"
"He's Denny's and Casey's son, my little brothers. I think he'd want us to do the right thing, if he was here"
Ricky nodded. "I know. "
They both glanced up at a picture Ricky had taken a few weeks at the beach, before Casey's death, Brax had his brother in a headlock and was ruffling his hair. After his death, Brax had it framed.
"It's one of my favourites" Brax said, Ricky stared at him, not because of what he'd said, but because it sounded semential. "The photographer wasn't bad either"
"Haha,"
"Are we decided?" Brax asked.
"I guess so. " Ricky said, quietly.
"I'll call the boys, so they can say goodye" Brax got his phone out of his pocket and sent a message off to Heath.
Within minutes Heath was at his brothers front door. "Your doing what?"
"Giving Issac to Denny" Brax said.
"Your mad"
"It's hard, but it's the right thing to do. " Brax replied, just as Kyle walked in, Heath quickly filled him in.
Brax pulled up outside the farmhouse.
"Look after him, Denny" Brax said, as he kissed the little boys forehead, it wasn't goodbye as they would still see him around the bay but it still hurt to part.
"I will, Brax. " Denny had a smile on her face as she accepted her new son, Issac's eyes opened as he stared at his mum.
"I'll go and get Mathew" Said Hannah.
Brax nodded as he sat down next to Ricky on the couch.
Brax unlocked the flat door, huddled against his wife's chest, in a blue blanket was Mathew, with a small mop of black hair. She lay him in the cot.
"Can I have a cuddle?" Bianca asked, peeking her head around the flat door.
"Shush" Brax put a finger to his lips, not only was Mathew sleeping, but Ricky was too.
Bianca crept in, and looked at the baby, softly snoring.
"He's beautiful, Brax"
"Yep,"
Denny was in her room, lying Issac on a blanket, in front of her. She dangled a toy in front of him, as he laughed, a laugh that sounded like Case. Taking the four month old in to her arms, she put him in the cot, knowing that while she had missed the beginning of his life, through no fault of her own, it had been the nurses fault, there was plenty of time to make new memories.
