I can just feel the irony in our situation.
Naruto took a sip of her milk as her eyes focused on the three people sitting in her dining room. Ken and Chikusa drank their drinks, eyes flickering to the walls and television but never really meeting her eyes. Mukuro drank his tea with his eyes fixated on her. It was rather strange that they were all drinking their tea like they never tried to kill each other.
The blonde darted her eyes to Haku, who kept eyeing the three with suspicion before looking back at her with raised eyebrows. I am surprised too that I'm not going to try and kill Mukuro. She didn't even know what possessed her to allow him inside her apartment. He injured her and ruined her pride the last time they met.
But the fact that he wanted to make an offer to her was something that she could not simply ignore.
"Last time I checked the two of you are supposed to be in prison," Naruto commented as she put down her teacup. Her eyes flickered to the bedroom that Jiraiya was staying in before flickering back to Ken and Chikusa. The two boys grimaced and she focused all of her attention on Mukuro. "Mind telling your good old enemy of what exactly happened?"
Ken growled and slammed the glass on the table. "We don't have to explain anything, byon."
He is just like Kiba but even worse, Kiba at least has some manners. She pressed her lips into a thin line while Haku narrowed his eyes at Ken. The blond-haired male gulped while Mukuro tugged the collar of his shirt. Chikusa wiped the sweat with one of the napkins. Naruto only flashed a thin smile at the male.
"If I were you, I would change your tone," Haku finally said. He pulled out a kunai, twirling it around a his brown eyes fixated on the sweating blond boy sitting on her table. "Naruto-sama allowed you inside of her apartment so either you act with a politeness befitting of a guest or I will make you become polite."
"Your little subordinate is terrifying," Mukuro commented with a laugh as Ken gulped and vigorously nodded. The male removed the eyepatch from the girl's head and focused his attention of her. Amusement leaked out of his eyes as if he found it funny that Haku had basically threatened to teach his subordinate how to behave.
Naruto thinned her lips even more. "And your subordinate is even more rude than the dog I know back home."
"I'm not a dog!" Ken snarled. Your name and behavior make you one. The words were on the tip of her tongue but the whiskered girl swallowed it down. This was not the time for her to be antagonizing them, even if the blond-haired boy made it easy for her to antagonize him. Mukuro wanted to discuss business and she was willing to hear him out.
My curiosity is going to be the end of me. The thought brought out a little sigh from her and Naruto focused her attention on the girl sitting across from her. "Now mind answering my question? How did your little subordinates escape while you remain locked up? You are locked up or are you just possessing the girl for fun?"
Mukuro took a sip of his tea, not looking one bit bothered by her question. If he was doing it for fun then he would find my words to be amusing and judging from the expression on his subordinates' faces…something did happen. She exhaled and took a sip of her milk as her eyes continued to observe the male.
It was not Mukuro who answered her but Chikusa.
"Mukuro-sama gave us a chance to escape."
That is oddly nice of him. She eyed Mukuro and the male only nodded his head, offering her a smile. There was a desire for her to say that he was up to something because allowing his subordinates to escape while he stayed back…was not like him. But what did he gain from letting them go like this? Neither of his subordinates could get him out.
Naruto stirred her milk and hummed a small tune as her eyes continued to observe the three people sitting right in front of her. Was there a good side to the male? She wasn't certain. He injured her and used Hibari's body for his own gains. Just remembering what he did to her ally was enough temptation for her to kick him and his subordinates out of her apartment.
"What do you want, Mukuro?" Naruto finally asked. She took a deep breath, steadied her arms and her blue eyes hardened as she recalled the various things that he put Hibari and her through. He did the unacceptable and used Hibari. It felt like a betrayal to sit across him but this was going to be business between them. "You have got a lot of nerve coming here to make an offer."
Mukuro only smiled even wider at her words while Ken growled at her, body raising at her tone. Haku narrowed his eyes at the blond-haired male, brown eye promising of a torture that Naruto knew her subordinate was capable of giving to the male. I should scold him but it is nice for someone to do the work for me. Her lips curled into a smile and the blonde locked eyes on the male.
"The Vongola Familigia offered to protect Ken and Chikusa after our failed attempt of escaping but in exchange I must become Sawada Tsunayoshi's Mist Guardian," Mukuro informed raised a single eyebrow at this piece of information. "However Ken, Chikusa and Chrome will need someone to look after them."
Chrome? She raised a single eyebrow and stared at the body that Mukuro was currently borrowing for the time being. So the owner of the original body was a girl called Chrome. That was rather interesting if you asked her because Naruto doubt that any sane mother would call their daughter by that name. But that isn't the point. She knew where the criminal was going with this.
"You want me to babysit them while you are gone."
Ken spluttered. "We don't need a member of the Vongola Familigia taking care of us, byon."
You think I want to babysit, you guys? I'm a busy girl with a life. Naruto pinched her nose while Chikusa lightly whacked the blond-haired male on the head. Mukuro only shook his head and stared at her like she could possibly understand the pain of dealing with an immature subordinate. Unfortunately for him, she trained her subordinates well.
What happened earlier with Kyoko and Ryohei was proof of how amazing her training was but there was no need for her to inform him this. Also that was not the point. Why did he come to her? She took care of Lambo because CEDEF asked her to do it. Team Ten was here because of Jiraiya and he was paying her to train them.
There had been nothing that she had done because she did it from the goodness of her own heart.
"Why did you come to me?" She put down the mug of milk and locked eyes with the leader of Kokuyo Land, lips pressed into a very thin line. There could have been a better candidate for his request. "Sawada is more of the goody-two shoes type and he will be more than happy to take care of your subordinates. I, on the other hand, will have no problem maiming them if they step one toe out of line."
Ken and Chikusa gulped and shivered as her eyes locked onto them. While she would admit that there was something about those two that reminded her of two of her classmates in Konoha, she was not going to let them stay in here because of it. Team Ten was paying her back with the mission that they were currently doing while Lambo was the reason she was getting the funds for her organization.
The smile on Mukuro's face widened and the blonde had the deepest sense that he had something that could make her agree to this strange arrangement between them.
"You can protect them and make sure that those three can eat properly," Mukuro observed. Naruto raised her eyebrow. What does that have to do with coming to me? Sawada is your boss but you came to me. She pressed her lips into a thin line and the illusionist continued. "You are not completely with the Mafia and I'm certain you won't use them for your gain unless you want the Akatsuki to know where you are."
Her heart stopped at those term and her blue eyes hardened at the information coming out of his mouth. How did he know about the Akatsuki? Was the bastard threatening her just so his subordinates could live happily? She inhaled and exhaled, pressing her hands against Haku's shoulders. The killing intent from him was enough but killing Mukuro right now was not going to get her answers.
There was also the fact that he was the Mist Guardian and Tsuna needed him at this moment.
"Haku, take Ken and Chikusa out for a walk while I continue my discussion with Mukuro."
The order hung in the air and brown eyes sharpened, telling her that he was willing to disobey her orders if it meant protecting her. While it was adorable, she needed this discussion with Mukuro. I don't like people threatening my freedom and vengeance. The male finally slumped his shoulders and removed himself from his seat.
Blue eyes watched blankly as Haku dragged Mukuro' subordinates outside of her apartment. Her heart raged against her chest, just ready to burst out of her chest. How dare the Pineapple bastard threaten her? Did he realize how much she valued her life? Or how much she wanted that village to burn without her dirtying her hands?
"How do you know about the Akatsuki?" She kept her tone as cold and impassive, not allowing it to drip into her tone as those eyes glinted with a cruelness that made her want to smack him. "And how can you make contact with them if you are stuck in prison?"
Mukuro leaned the body forward. "Do you think I was doing nothing while I'm stuck here? I'm still connected to you and your memories helps to remind me of how disgusting humans can be."
He has been going through my memories and that includes the ones where Jiraiya has been training me. The blonde clenched her jaws together as her eyes locked onto the bastard who locked Hibari and her up in a small room. That answered the question of how he knew about the Akatsuki but it also mean that he planned to ruin her plans for vengeance.
"And how can you make contact with them if you are stuck in prison?" She repeated in a soft tone. "No matter how strong you are, you are nothing compared to the Akatsuki."
The male hummed. "Who says I plan to fight them? I already found someone in your part of the world that I could possibly possess and all they have to do is tell them that the Kyuubi jinchuuriki is in Namimori. Any plans that you have for vengeance…is gone."
His threatening tone brought a shiver down her spine and the blonde clenched her jaws together. The threat of the Akatsuki meant that even if she did want to use his subordinates, she could not do it. I will agree to it because I want to see Konoha go up in flames and also because I want to live long enough to leave my mark in this world. She inhaled and rubbed the back of her neck.
"You are one manipulative bastard," Naruto commented. Mukuro smiled and the blonde could only imagine the headache that she was going to receive not just from Gokudera but from Hibari males were going to be pleased of her acceptance of his plan. "But even if I do agree because of your threat, I want something else in return."
He raised a single eyebrow. "Kufufu, you are still greedy even though I threatened you."
It is because you threatened me that I want some control again. Naruto bit her tongue from spilling those words to him. That would be admitting weakness to him and she was anything but weak. The desire to be in control was not something that she wanted the illusionist to take advantage of.
"An offer implies that I get something in exchange for taking care of your three subordinates," she reminded him. The Mist Guardian chuckled at her words as if he found it amusing and maybe it was. The implied offer was keeping her whereabouts a secret but she wanted something more than just her whereabouts being hidden from the Elemental Countries.
"I will also pay you handsomely for your efforts of keeping these three alive and healthy," he informed her. Naruto relaxed her shoulders at this piece of information. So he was going to pay her and if he looked through her memories then he knew that her demands weren't cheap. That was reassuring if you asked her. "The three of them can earn their keep."
Those are good conditions but let me tip the favor to me and my allies. While Team Ten were doing the mission because they owed her for listening in on her conversation with Haku, there was still a need for her to help them. After all if she could get them the information they needed then they could work a business relationship.
Maybe she could keep Shikamaru and Choji with her if they wanted while Ino was up for debate. You can hate a bitch but you can't deny that between the three of them…Ino is the most useful. Of course the chances that the blonde would work for her was very low. She was after all more likely to follow Sasuke then her.
"I want to know how you are capable of making illusions without chakra," Naruto declared. Mukuro raised a single eyebrow at the demand, looking faintly amused by her request, and the blonde leaned her body forward. "You tell me the requirement of breaking through an illusion like the ones you make and we will have a deal."
The illusionist laughed.
"Kufufufu, you are still bitter over the fact that I beat you aren't you?"
Naruto smiled thinly.
"Don't you know Mukuro? I'm a sore loser."
Her memories could testify this fact.
Naruto really knows how to sketch his key features.
Ino curled her lips into a tiny frown as she pulled out the sketch that the blonde made of their target. It had been quite easy for her team to sneak right into the hotel and even easier for them to break into the room. The only difficult bit had been putting those subordinates under genjutsu. But that was why they had Shikamaru.
While she might have learnt medic ninjutsu with Sakura, the platinum-blond haired girl would admit that it was Shikamaru who leaned more into genjutsu than her. He only learnt that jutsu because he is practically useless during these kind of missions. Choji was the physical fighter between them while Shikamaru strategized and contained the targets.
She was the one that gathered the information.
But does it matter? No because Naruto apparently thinks I'm the idiot and all because of the way I acted during the Academy. Ino scowled and pulled out the seals that her fellow blond gave them the night before. Slapping the silent seal onto the wall alongside the lock seal, the 15-year-old girl locked eyes on the sleeping male on the bed.
The only reason that she was going along with Naruto's plans was because of Shikamaru and Choji. She might have been a bitch growing up to them and maybe she abused the fact that she was Daddy's little girl but she did care about those two. They were childhood friends growing up and it was her fault that the whiskered teen was not interacting with the two of them in the same way.
Shikamaru and Choji really wants her forgiveness. Shikamaru warned her that if she messed things up then he would make a request to the Hokage of never pairing them together again. There was also the fact he threatened to tell her father and well Ino didn't want that to happen. Her father's opinion of her would be lowered, which was the last thing she wanted.
There is also the fact that Gokudera-kun is also involved too. The silver-haired teen perked her interest with his behavior alongside the fact that he would never glance her way. Not her but any girl really. Not even Naruto had his interest and that was odd. Despite what Naruto and even Sasuke-kun claimed, Ino was observant. She knew that the boy did have a crush on the girl. His eyes had always been watching her from the distance.
Ino shook her head and focused her attention on the floor. Several broken glass decorated the floor, informing her about the danger of this mission. One wrong step and there was a possibility of Xanxus waking up. Second piece of information? He probably had a bad temper because there was also blood on those glass.
I can't figure out why Naruto is so invested with finding out the man's plans because there is no way the current Naruto care because Sawada is involved. The platinum-blond girl grimaced. If this was three years ago, she would believe it but the whiskered teen wasn't the same girl anymore. It had been evident when she saw how the blonde interacted with Kyoko and Hana.
The old Naruto laughed and smiled like an idiot, only having Hinata by her side. The new Naruto made time for those two girls but she was never fully stuck by their sides. No one seems to know where she goes during lunch time too. None of the girls could tell her, telling her that the blonde was a mystery to them.
But I'm certain that she has someone involved with Sawada because that look on her eyes this morning was a girl worried for her boyfriend. But who could be her possible boyfriend? It was definitely not Gokudera or Sawada. Yamamoto? Ino did hear a particularly juicy gossip about how the boy had feelings but it was not possible.
Her observation between them told her that those two were just friends, so there had to be another guy in the equation. But I won't ever get anything out of Naruto because she won't ever admit to anything. It would be the juiciest gossip if she told Sakura that Naruto managed to get a boyfriend. Although it would hurt Hinata if she told her this.
They were the best friends after all and it would probably rub some salt to her wound. Naruto was always so overprotective over her and if she knows that Kiba broke Hinata's heart…well she is going to kill him. It was none of her business to inform her but if she handed the information over in exchange for her boyfriend's information then maybe she would be willing to tell her.
Ino shook her head and crept over the broken glass, carefully swiping them away from the bed. The problem with the jutsu that required what Naruto wanted was the distance. It was hard for her to do the jutsu without touching the male. Unlike the Shintenshin no Jutsu, I can't simply channel my chakra into a hand seal and hit him. She grimaced.
Taking a deep breath and closing her eyes, the Yamanaka heiress placed her hand on top of the male's head and channeled her chakra through her hands. Numbness crept up into her a her spirit flooded out of her body. If one were ever to ask her about her feelings then the teenager would tell them that it was like pummeling through a water slide.
The chunin exhaled and opened her eyes, knitting her eyebrows together when she felt the bright blistering sun shining over her head. Whatever this guy is dreaming about, it must be something good. Ino shook her head and looked around what should be the man's hippocampus, which stored all of his autobiographic memories.
The good thing about this jutsu is that there are labels for every year of a person's life. The various strange buildings around her was proof of that. Standing across her was a dusty building labelled number one, which told her that this was probably his first year in life. The earlier a memory was, the least likely a person would recall the memory. There was just never a need for it.
She slipped her hands into the pockets of her outfit and began to stroll through the narrow, small streets to find the building of this year. Most of the buildings looked the same with the only differences being the colors. The early buildings were colored gray, cracked and generally did not look like a place that a person wanted to visit.
In Ino's experience with this jutsu, it signified that those memories were unpleasant. Anything unpleasant was locked up in those buildings as it was generally not the memories that people would want to remember again. One wrong move with those memories and she could possibly make this man go through trauma again.
Naruto wanted information, she did not ask for her to traumatize an already violent man.
But it seems buildings seven to fifteen are happy memories. Her hands itched to open those doors to figure out the difference between these memories but she held herself back. What Naruto wanted should be the last building in this street. Whatever the man must have been planning, should be fairly recent in her opinion.
Two years at the most if Ino went by the breakdown of the theory that her whiskered classmate came up with Shikamaru.
Bobbing her head, Ino continued through the streets and stopped in her tracks at the small building that stood right next to another building. 16-23 years and 10 months. That was rare. How could a single building be filled with so many years' worth of memory? It should be impossible. If it had been a coma patient then there was a theory that there should be no building from the year they entered the coma.
The only other possibility that the years had been entirely the same like he had been in prison but even then prisoner experienced different things in their prison. But maybe it was possible because that building looked like it was built from ice…as if he had been frozen. But that should be impossible since the human body could not survive freezing temperature unless there was something different about it.
Either way, the building was probably the most interesting one out there if you asked her. Naruto is going to be very curious to know when I tell her of this little piece of information. The blonde could even possibly say that they did better than she expected without making some stupid sarcastic comment.
Ino paused as a look of horror washed over her.
Am I trying to get praise from the Deadlast? The world must be ending! She vigorously shook her head and looked to the building that sat right beside the small building. It was a building slightly larger than the freezing building beside it. The walls were painted red and had a couple of petunia growing out of it.
Anger and resentment. That was what the petunia plant symbolized and this was where the plant seemed to be growing the most. What did it mean again if that plant showed up? Her father tested her this a few years ago. It means that the memories inside of this building is filled with a lot of anger. That had been what she told her father.
Ino gulped and flickered her eyes to the other buildings, pulling her shirt's collar to the side. There were also petunia growing in the sides of the street as well as few of the other houses but none as much as the two buildings standing right in front of her. Dear god, was she really willing to see the cause of his anger?
If we do a job well done, will you forgive us?
It was the knowledge that Shikamaru and Choji wanted Naruto's forgiveness that made her walk into the building filled with anger and resentment.
"You are going to make Iemitsu's son, the Vongola's Tenth! Have you lost your fucking mind, you shitty old man!"
Ino flinched as Xanxus threw a glass over an elderly man's shoulder. Crash. The glass shattered behind the wall, falling down like hail but not once landing on the old man. It was almost as if even in his anger, the male was able to control himself long enough not to hit the brown-eyed old man sitting on the large black chair.
The gray-haired old man did not flinch at the volume nor at the fact that the glass nearly hit him. It was almost like it was not the first time the male had shown his anger in this way. Judging from what she had seen in his hotel room, it was pretty much safe to say that it was indeed normal for him to throw stuff when angered.
"I assure you Xanxus that I haven't lost my mind in the last eight years that you were in your cradle," the old man said lightly. Ino blinked and took several steps closer to the old man, making sure not to go anywhere near the furious man. "Tsunayoshi is the only one capable of taking over the Vongola Familigia now. Federico was murdered during the time you were in your cradle…I have no other option."
Ino frowned at this piece of information and sat down on the ground, feet crossed together as her eyes locked onto Xanxus. What did they mean by cradle? Was that information going to be important? No, better yet why couldn't this man be the heir? From what she understood from Naruto and Shikamaru, he was the son of this old man.
Wouldn't that make him an option too?
"You have me! I'm your fucking son!" Xanxus snarled, slamming both hands on the table. His red eyes screamed of fury and rage and his whole body trembled with anger. Ino gulped and darted her eyes to the Ninth. The old man sighed. "I might not be your fucking biological son but you can give me the fucking position! I know better than some shitty brat who doesn't know anything!"
The platinum-blond haired girl froze at the comment, light blue eyes growing large at this piece of information. This was probably going to be the juiciest piece of information Naruto could get but it wouldn't prove anything. But if this had been Konoha and Asuma-sensei turned out to be adopted then it would juicy gossip.
Now the bigger question why was it important for the male to be the old man's biological child?
Shaking her head, the platinum-haired teen looked at the old man again. His brown eyes were filled with a lot of pain and anguish as if he wished he could just give him the role that Xanxus wanted. If he felt that way then maybe that was the reason he changed his mind but Ino knew there was more to the story. The words coming out of his mouth earlier implied that he wouldn't change his decision.
"Xanxus, you are my son but you know that you don't have the Blood of the Vongola running through your veins," The Ninth said gently. Ino knitted her eyebrows while the black-haired male bristled at those words. "You aren't my biological child so I can't simply hand you my position. If I knew that the ring won't reject you, I would rather give it to you than Iemitsu's boy."
Ino felt a sense of dread creeping up in her stomach as her eyes took in the expression of the now-silent man standing across from her. There was still a lot of rage coming out from his eyes but there was also a glint of cunningness in his eyes. The kind of cunningness that reminded the Ino of whenever Naruto planned a prank.
Not just any prank but the pranks that everyone knew Naruto did just because she wanted revenge.
"Give Tsunayoshi a chance, Xanxus," The Ninth pleaded with a tiredness that only an old person could feel. Ino darted her eyes to the male and gulped at the smile coming out of the man's lips. "Reborn is training him and from what Reborn tells me, Tsuna also has a friend who is teaching him about our way of life."
Xanxus snorted.
"The day I accept that disgusting piece of trash is the day I die," the man snarled as he clicked his heels away from the old man. "I won't ever let that shitty piece of trash the chance to ruin the Vongola family's name. You shouldn't choose your successor because of blood! There should be other criteria!"
The male stormed off and Ino followed behind him, ready to find the next piece of information that Naruto might possibly need to prove that Xanxus was definitely acting alone in his operation. It seems like Shikamaru and Naruto are right but this won't prove anything. The next memory was probably going to be just as interesting as this memory had been.
Hopefully, it would get her the information that Naruto needed because adoption and some kind of ring wasn't enough grounds for accusation.
"I modified Gola Moska as you kindly requested Xanxus-sama but neither me nor the members of my research team can overcome the issue of the power source!"
Ino blinked and curled her lips into a frown when she saw that the next room she had entered was now a lab. Various machines decorated the room alongside sketches and books. In the center of the room was Xanxus, who sat on a rather large chair as if he was the king of the world. Standing across from Xanxus was a young man wearing a lab coat.
The young man stood in front of Xanxus, legs trembling as his brown eyes looked anywhere but at the imposing man in front of him. Standing right across of him was a machine, a rather familiar machine if you asked Ino. Was it the mask that was familiar? She had seen a member of the Varia wearing the same mask while they snuck into the Varia's rooms.
"What is the fucking issue with the weapon?"
The anger leaking out of his voice made Ino shiver and the man standing across of her gulped as Xanxus held up a gun at the man. After seeing what the man did to his adopted father, she couldn't blame him for being terrified. The fact he had been willing to throw glass at his father meant that he had no problems hurting his own subordinates or even strangers.
She gulped down the lump that formed in her throat and stared at the weapon. The fact this was another kind of weapon that the Outside had was something she should report to Tsunade. Although the Hokage only demanded they investigate Naruto's claims of people making illusions without chakra but this was important too.
"W-Well no matter how many times we go over through the research that you provided us, we can't find any solution on how to power the machine," the man wheezed, clutching his stomach and looking down at the ground. Xanxus pressed the trigger and the man held his hand out. "The only solution that we tested that worked was the human life source solution."
Xanxus lowered his gun, only eyeing the machine with interest and a happiness that made the dread in her stomach intensified. The more she saw that blood thirsty smile, the more Ino felt like the man planned to do something cruel. He should have been horrified over the solution but that smile implied this was the result that he wanted.
I thought human experimentations were also forbidden here in the Outside. Ino steadied her trembling arms as her eyes locked onto the familiar machine. Even though she was a kunoichi, what the researcher implied was not something that was acceptable in her part of the world. The Third Hokage kicked Orochimaru out for human experimentation.
But it seemed like Xanxus nor his team cared about the value of human's life. The cruelty in his eyes screamed this to her and she wondered if psychopath was the right term for the description of the man standing in front of her. What did he plan to do? Wait. That was not the Varia member that they saw in the other room but the same machine.
Her knees buckled.
"Is there a specific requirement for the life force or can any trash be shoved into here?" Xanxus demanded. His hand began to glow orange as his eyes locked onto the relaxed man. The engineer gulped and trembled, inching backwards while Ino only stared at the glowing hand withknitted eyebrows.
How could his hand glow like that? And why was the man trembling at the sight of the glowing hand? It did not look anything special but Xanxus was terrifying and that must mean that the glowing hand was something to be feared. He wouldn't have a problem hurting his own subordinate. This kind of man was definitely not someone you wanted to anger.
Dear god, what did Naruto gotten herself into?
"T-They would need someone like you or the Ninth," the engineer stuttered, locking eyes at the glowing hand. "From the previous experiments that I conducted with my team, we found that Gola Moska becomes highly efficient if a person has sky flames but…"
"—But what, trash?" Xanxus growled. Ino tugged the collar of her shirt as the glow in his hand intensified. Even though she was only inside of his memories, the blond-haired teen could feel herself sweating at the intense heat coming from his hand. It should be impossible for her to feel this but it showed just how intense his emotions were.
"The person could potentially die if they stay inside Gola Moska for a very long time," the engineer quickly answered. His whole body quake and shivered and it would not surprise Ino if he wet his pants. There was just something about this man that made him terrifying and not in a good way. "I-I'm sorry Xanxus! Please don't kill me for not figuring out a better alternative!"
A loud laugh escaped from Xanxus mouth, echoing throughout the silent lab. It should be good news that the man laughed but Ino felt her stomach churned at the maniac gleam in the man's eyes. Something told her that whatever theory Naruto and Shikamaru had, it would never come close to what the man had actually done.
"I'm not going to kill you because you disappoint me but because you and your team now know too much."
Bright golden-orange flames erupted from Xanxus hands, heading head straight to the petrified engineer. His screams echoed throughout the lab and Ino clicked her heels away. She should stay and watch but there was another memory that she needed to watch. The fact that the same machine was just one room away meant that there was someone in there.
I-I need to confirm if the person inside of that machine is who I think it is.
Xanxus seemed psychotic enough to put his father in there and that would confirm Naruto and Shikamaru's theory.
A/N: So Ino found a lot of information that could help Naruto while Mukuro threatened Naruto to babysit his subordinates.
Question 1: What do you think of the whole interaction between Mukuro and Naruto?
Question 2: How do you think Naruto will react when Ino tells her everything that she found out?
Question 3: Do you think that there should be another pairing in this fic? Because I have been thinking of the pairings for after the Varia arc.
Please do drop a review and tell me what you think about this chapter.
