(Lumiose City)
The crisis in Lumiose City had only just begun. The dark roots of Z-2 and the Heartless were running rampant throughout the city, spreading chaos and destruction. Serena, Clemont, Clembot, and Mairin were at Prism Tower, facing off against Aliana and Bryony in the plaza to gain access to the tower. Bonnie was away from them, watching Squishy from afar. And at the top of the tower, Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, and the rest of Ash's Pokémon were now held captive by Team Flare. The heroes were now awake as they glance down at the two Zygarde in the plaza as they prepared to face-off in battle.
"So, all this time, Squishy actually Zygarde." Draxon says
"Zygarde is the Legendary Pokémon who watches over the world and punishes those who dare to disrupt it's order. What you are witnessing now is the rage of Zygarde, as well as Team Flare! This world will start over and be reborn!" Lysandre says
Lysandre looks down at Squishy as it faces off against Z-2.
"Soon enough, the other Zygarde will come to our way of thinking. Then, it will turn red with rage!" Lysandre says
"No! You're wrong! Squishy would never think like that!" Ash yells
In the air above Prism Tower, Jessie, James, and Meowth were in their helicopter, flying over the plaza as the two Zygarde face each other with Jessie reporting the action.
"Look at that! At the center of the vines winding their way through Lumiose City are two giant Pokémon! It is believed they are Zygarde, the Legendary Pokémon!" Jessie says
(Meanwhile)
Down in the plaza, Squishy cries out to Z-2 in a pleading cry, hoping to get some sort of response. But to it's frustration, Z-2 remains silent. At that moment, Squishy rams into Z-2, sending it smashing into some nearby buildings.
"Squishy! No!" Bonnie exclaims
"Enough of this! Druddigon, use Dark Pulse!" Aliana says
Druddigon conjures up dark energy in it's mouth and fires it's Dark Pulse at the Pokémon Heroes. But before the attack could reach them, Mega Garchomp jumps in and stops the attack with Slash. Prof. Sycamore and Mairin then arrive on the scene.
"That was a close one." Prof. Sycamore says
"Professor Sycamore!" Clemont exclaims
"Mairin!" Serena exclaims
"What?" Aliana says shocked
"That little brat..." Bryony growls
"Professor! Look!" Mairin exclaims
"Zygarde..." Prof. Sycamore says
Z-2 emerges from the rubble of the smashed building and slithers toward Squishy.
"That is enough! Wake up!" Squishy says
While the two Zygarde kept fighting, the heroes turn their attention to Aliana, Bryony, and their Pokémon.
"Mega-evolved Pokémon might be more of a challenge." Aliana says
"Liepard, use Shadow Claw!" Bryony commands
Liepard leaps forward with it's claws enveloped in dark energy.
"Blaziken, use Blaze Kick!" Blaziken Mask commands
Blaziken leaps up at Liepard and sends it back with a backflip kick under it's chin. Clemont takes out two Pokéballs in his hands and sends out his Pokémon.
"Help us out... Bunnelby and Chespin!" Clemont says
Bunnelby and Chespin are released from their Pokéballs and they stood ready for a fight.
"Go, Heliolisk!" Clembot says
Heliolisk joins Bunnelby and Chespin as the three Pokémon make their stand.
"Luxray, use Wild Charge!" Clemont commands
"Dodge it!" Aliana and Bryony command in unison
Luxray rushes forward with it's body enveloped a powerful electric aura, but Druddigon and Liepard evade the attack, jumping out of the way.
"Chespin, use Pin Missile!" Clemont commands
"Heliolisk, use Dragon Tail!" Clembot commands
"Ches-pin!"
"Lisk!"
Chespin fires it's Pin Missiles at Liepard while Heliolisk descends down towards Druddigon, swinging it's green aura-covered tail. Again, the two Pokémon dodge their attacks.
"Now, Liepard, use Dark Pulse!" Bryony commands
"Liepard!"
Liepard conjures up dark energy in it's mouth and fires it in a pulsing beam towards the heroes.
"Bunnelby, use Mud Shot!" Clemont commands
Bunnelby conjures up a ball of mud in-between it's ears and launches it forward to counter Liepard's Dark Pulse.
Blaziken Mask and his Mega Blaziken step in and join the fight.
"Blaziken! Flamethrower!" Blaziken Mask commands
"Blaze!"
Mega Blaziken breathes a stream of fire from it's beaked mouth, shooting it straight at Druddigon.
"Druddigon, dodge and use Dragon Claw!" Aliana commands
Druddigon flies up into the air, dodging Mega Blaziken's Flamethrower, and descends down with it's right-claw enveloped in a green-scaled aura. Mega Blaziken jumps away just as Druddigon smashes into the ground where it once stood.
While the fighting between Clemont, Clembot, Blaziken Mask, Aliana and Bryony continued, Mairin looks over at Serena, asking if she had seen Draxon, Ash, or Alain.
"Serena... Did you see Alain, Ash, and Draxon? They said they were going to Prism Tower." Mairin asks
"Not yet. I haven't seen them." Serena says
"If something happened to them..." Mairin says
"You don't have to worry about Alain and Ash. You know they're strong. And they've got Draxon, Roxas, and Mew with them. Draxon and Roxas are both Keyblade Wielders and with Mew they're unstoppable!" Serena says
"I'm still so worried about Chespie, too..." Mairin says
Serena stares at Mairin as she suddenly remembers something.
(Flashback)
It was that day at the Pokémon Center in Lumiose City that Mairin mentioned where Chespie was now being treated.
"Chespie's been asleep for quite a while. It won't wake up." Mairin says
"Oh no! Mairin! I'm so sorry!" Serena says
"Don't be. It'll be fine! Right now, Chespie's being treated at Lysandre Labs. They're awesome!" Mairin says
Then, Serena remembers a promise she made to help Mairin out with her Chespie that same night.
"If there's anything we can do, just let us know. We'll do whatever we can to help!" Serena says
(Present time)
Wanting to fulfill that promise, Serena puts on a determined face and takes hold of Mairin's right-hand.
"Mairin? Chespie's at Lysandre Labs, right?" Serena asks
"Yeah." Mairin says
Serena looks over at Clemont.
"Clemont?" Serena says
"Go ahead! Don't worry. We can handle things here!" Clemont says
Serena nods her head and looks towards Mairin.
"Let's go! Chespie needs us!" Serena says
"I'll go, too! I've got a car back at the lab." Prof. Sycamore says
A Dark Pulse strikes the ground near the two young teens and the Pokémon Researcher, catching their attention. The attack came from Liepard per Bryony's command.
"You're not going anywhere! Liepard, use Shadow Claw!" Bryony says
Liepard leaps forward with it's attack, but was blasted back by Bunnelby's Mud Shot.
"Go now!" Clemont says
"Thanks, Clemont!" Serena says
Prof. Sycamore beams Mega Garchomp back into it's Pokéball and he leaves with Serena and Mairin.
"Well then, I guess we'll just leave them to Celosia." Aliana says
"Which leaves us to do our job as we always do." Bryony says
Aliana and Bryony continue their battle against Clemont, Clembot, and Blaziken Mask. Hiding behind some roots, Team Rocket watches as Prof. Sycamore, Serena, and Mairin leave.
"Lysandre Labs?" James asks
"Could that be the glasses gang's secret base?" Meowth asks
"Could be. We don't need glasses to look." Jessie says
(Meanwhile)
Up at the top of the tower, Lysandre stares out at the city, speaking directly to Alain.
"Alain. This is all thanks to you. Mega Evolution energy gives us power. The power to control Zygarde." Lysandre says
Alain gasps in shock as does Ash, Draxon and Roxas.
"The energy you gathered had proven to be quite useful in destroying this imperfect world. There is no tomorrow for this world. When the sun rises next, it will be brand-new. How beautiful the end of this world is. We are truly taking the first step towards peace." Lysandre says
Alain falls to his knees and stares out at the destruction that he helped create. It was at that moment he finally realized that he had been used. He was only ever a means to an end. All of this was his fault.
"Chespie! Mairin! Is this the reason I had all of those battles?! All of them for this?!" Alain shouts in anger
Alain began punching the ground out of guilt. How could he have been mislead so easily? He's been such a fool. Draxon, Roxas, and Ash stared at Alain as he kept punching the ground over and over until his knuckles bled. They couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Suddenly, Ash recalls something that Mairin mentioned about Chespie's coma.
"Chespie's been asleep for a while. It won't wake up."
"That's it. That's why Alain did this." Ash gasps
"For Chespie's sake. And Mairin's sake, too. Your wish had pure intent. A truly noble wish, indeed." Lysandre says
(In the city)
Serena, Mairin, and Prof. Sycamore run through the streets of the city, heading for Prof. Sycamore's lab to get the car. Suddenly, Team Rocket jumps out infront of them, causing them to stop.
"Hold on! What are you doing in such a dangerous place?" Jessie asks
"We have to get to Lysandre Labs! My precious Chespie is there!" Mairin says
"You jest! Why that's terrible!" James exclaims
"So step on the gas!" Meowth says
"We happen to be from Lumiose City TV! Perfect timing! Where to? We'll whisk you there in our newscopter!" Jessie says
"That would be a big help!" Prof. Sycamore says
"Thanks so much!" Serena and Mairin says grateful
"Think nothing of it." Jessie says
"A friend in need is a friend indeed." Jessie, James, and Meowth say in unison
The group board the helicopter and they fly over the city, heading for Lysandre Labs. James and Meowth sat in the cockpit while Jessie, Prof. Sycamore, Serena, and Mairin sat in the passenger seats.
"Blue yonder! Here we go!" James says
"And where are we off to? Team Flare's secret base!" Jessie says
"Wait. What did you say?" Serena asks
The troublesome trio's eyes widened at what Jessie said. They nearly gave away their secret plan. Quickly, Jessie covers it up with a lie.
"I said, you've got flair and a lucky face!" Jessie chuckles nervously
(Back at Prism Tower)
Z-2 attacks Squishy, sending roots towards it. Squishy teleports away and reappears in the air, descending down and ramming into Z-2, sending it smashing into several buildings in the city. Bonnie stood nearby, watching the fight between the two Zygarde.
(Elsewhere)
In another part of the city, two men were running from two Neoshadows when a Moonblast strikes the Heartless, destroying them. The attack came from Mega Gardevoir and Diantha, who were redirecting the civilians to safety elsewhere.
"Hurry! This way!" Diantha says
"Thank you, Diantha!" One of the men says grateful
The men run past Diantha while Tierno, Shauna, Trevor, and Sawyer run up to her.
"Diantha!" Sawyer calls out
Diantha and Mega Gardevoir turns to the four Trainers.
"Diantha, you've gotta let us help you! Please!" Sawyer says
"We can't just stand by and watch..." Shauna says
"We want to help you!" Tierno says
"Please, Diantha?" Trevor asks
The Kalos Champion nods her head, accepting their help.
"Of course! Rescuing the elderly and children come first! They are more vulnerable to the Heartless. We need to get them to someplace safe, away from the city. Can you bring them here to me?" Diantha asks
"All right!" Tierno says
"We can do it!" Shauna says
"You can count on us!" Sawyer says
(Meanwhile)
Squishy was hit by one of the roots and was sent flying into a building. Emerging from the rubble, Squishy lets out a loud roar and charges to attack. Z-2 sends more roots toward Squishy, who quickly flies left and right, dodging the roots. But before it could reach Z-2, the roots wrap themselves around Squishy and holds it up in the air.
At Lysandre Labs, Xerosic smiles and he chuckles evilly.
"It won't be long before you belong to us now, Z-1." Xerosic says
(Back at Prism Tower)
Lysandre turns to face Ash, Draxon and Roxas.
"Now, Ash, I'm going to use your Bond Phenomenon in service to my new world! You are able to gain that powerful strength without a Key Stone. Purely through your bond! When I saw that, I was thrilled! You have shown me that there are limitless possibilities for Pokémon. I want that power for myself!" Lysandre says
Lysandre shifts his gaze over to Draxon and Roxas.
"And you, Draxon, Roxas, I want your powers for my new world as well! Besides Pokémon, the Keyblade's potential is endless! With such a weapon in Team Flare's possession, peace and prosperity will thrive for many years to come!" Lysandre says
Four bug-like devices fly up to Lysandre's sides.
"Now, lend me your powers!" Lysandre says
The devices fly up towards the four heroes and they emit a red beam of corrupted energy, the same one that possessed Z-2. Draxon, Roxas, Ash, and Greninja grunt in pain from the evil energy.
"This energy is powerful enough to control Zygarde. Now, Ash, Greninja, I will also control your Bond Phenomenon! And I shall also take control of the Keyblade's powers through you, Draxon, Roxas!" Lysandre says
"No!" Ash grunts in pain
"From this point on, the four of you will answer to me!" Lysandre says
The energy from the beams intensify, inflicting more pain to Draxon, Roxas, Ash, and Greninja, causing them to scream in agony. Pikachu, Mew, Noivern, Hawlucha, Talonflame, and Goodra cried out with their distressed voices.
"Mew!"
"Pika pi!"
"Noivern!"
"Lucha!"
"Goodra!"
"Flame!"
Even Alain was shocked as he couldn't bear to see his friends suffer much longer.
"Lysandre, stop this!" Alain shouts
"Pika pi!" Pikachu cries out
"Mew mew!" Mew cries out
Suddenly, Draxon, Roxas, and Ash manage to contain their screams and fight the pain, glaring down at Lysandre.
"There's no way you're ever gonna control us!" Ash yells
"Ngh! Gnh! You will never gain control over the Keyblade's power!" Draxon yells
"You still don't understand, do you? When the current world becomes a thing of the past, the four of you will be the ones who will guide all of humanity to their salvation!" Lysandre says
"We'll never join you, Lysandre!" Draxon yells
"Not now! Not ever!" Roxas yells
"We're not ever gonna change!" Ash yells
Ash looks over at Alain.
"Alain! I don't know what happened to you, but you've gotta stop all this! Now! I don't care about what you've done! I... I believe in the Alain I know!" Ash yells
Alain gasps.
"I really care about this world! I care about the people and Pokémon who call this world home! And you won't destroy it! No way!" Ash yells
In that moment, Ash and Greninja synchronize and become enveloped in a watery spiral, which shoots up into the sky. Both Ash and Ash-Greninja were soon freed as the devices binding their hands and feet shatter into a million pieces. Ash nearly falls over from exhaustion, but Alain catches him.
"Ash! Are you alright?!" Alain asks in concern
Ash smiles and nods his head. Ash, Greninja, Alain, and Lysandre soon look up towards Draxon and Roxas as they begin to glow with blue light as they channel the power of light through their bodies. With all their might, they fight to break free of their bonds.
"Haaaaaaaaaah!" Draxon and Roxas scream in unison
A powerful burst of light engulfs the top of the tower, illuminating the plaza. The bonds holding the two boys shatter from their intense power. Draxon and Roxas drop down next to Ash, Ash-Greninja, and Alain.
"Thank you, Ash. Because of you... my head is clear." Alain says
"Glad to see you're back on the right side, Alain." Draxon says
Alain looks over at the two Keyblade Wielders and nods to them. He then puts on a determined expression.
"Let's end this! Together!" Alain says
"Now you're talking!" Ash says
Alain reaches into his right jacket pocket and takes out his Pokéball.
"Charizard, let's go!" Alain says
Tossing his Pokéball into the air, Alain sends out his out Charizard.
"Use Dragon Claw to free Pikachu and the rest!" Alain commands
Charizard flies up to Mew, Pikachu, and the other Pokémon and destroys their bonds, freeing them. Mew floats over to Draxon's left-side while Pikachu, and the rest of Ash's Pokemon land beside their Trainer.
"You guys ready?" Ash asks
"Pika!"
"Ninja!"
"Goodra!"
"Noivern!"
"Hawlucha!"
"Talon!"
"Mew, you ready?" Draxon asks
"Mew!" Mew says nodding it's head
"Do you honestly think you can defeat me?" Lysandre asks
"We must! We'll prove to you that protecting someone requires real strength!" Alain says
A frown appears on Lysandre's face as he stares at the heroes.
"You disappoint me, Alain. None of you will be needed in the new world I'm creating." Lysandre says
"Who are you to make that decision?!" Ash yells
"Every person has a choice of what to do with their lives! Even Nobodies like me and Roxas!" Draxon yells
Darkness began to envelope Lysandre's body and he floats up to the heroes, landing over on the other side of the tower across from them.
"I do what I must to guarantee a better future! Nothing will stop me! And so, to that end, you all must die!" Lysandre yells
Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, Alain, and their Pokémon make their stand as they prepare for a fight against Lysandre to stop his madness.
(Meanwhile)
Down in the plaza, the fight between Aliana, Bryony, Clemont, and Clembot continued.
"Liepard, use Shadow Claw!" Bryony commands
"And Druddigon, use Dragon Claw!" Aliana commands
Druddigon and Liepard both leap up into the air and descend down toward the heroes with their attacks. Acting quickly, Clembot makes his move.
"Heliolisk, use Flash!" Clembot commands
Heliolisk emits a blinding light, which blinds Druddigon and Liepard, foiling their attacks.
"Luxray, use Wild Charge!" Clemont commands
Luxray leaps up at Druddigon and bashes it away with it's Wild Charge.
"Chespin, Pin Missile! Bunnelby, Mud Shot!" Clemont commands
Chespin and Bunnelby jump up into the air and launch their attacks at Liepard.
"Bunnel-by!"
"Ches-pin!"
The combined attacks dish out great damage to Liepard, sending it smashing into the side of the tower. Both Druddigon and Liepard were stunned and defeated.
"Return, now!" Aliana says
Regrettably, Aliana and Bryony call back their Pokémon into their Pokéballs. While they were distracted, Clembot ties the two scientists with metal rope and hangs them up on the tower.
"Hey!" Aliana exclaims
"Let me go!" Bryony exclaims
Clembot dusts off it's hands having tied up the two villainous scientists.
"Targets have been captured." Clembot says
"Excellent work, Clembot!" Clemont says
"This is your fault!" Bryony yells
"No! This is your fault!" Aliana yells
(Meanwhile)
In the city, Squishy roars out in pain as the grip of the roots tightened around it. Bonnie runs up to Squishy and calls out to it.
"Squishy!" Bonnie cries out
Suddenly, Bonnie senses danger nearby. Turning around, she looks over at Prism Tower to see Xerosic with his cannon primed and ready to fire. Within moments, the cannon shoots it's red beam straight down into the city, hitting Squishy. Bonnie watches in horror as the beam of evil energy possesses Squishy while it roars out in pain. She was even more terrified when a Neoshadow leaps out from a shadowy portal in the ground infront of her. But before the Heartless could attack her, Mega Blaziken jumps in, grabs her, and evades the dark creature just as it swings it's claws. The two land on the rooftops where Blaziken Mask awaited them.
"Young lady! Why were you there all alone?" Blaziken Mask asks
"I'm scared Squishy's... Squishy's gonna lose..." Bonnie says
Squishy cries out in pain as the corrupt energy possesses it. And through it, Bonnie screams out in pain.
"Bonnie! What's wrong!" Blaziken Mask asks worryingly
"No! Squishy... no! Nooooo!" Bonnie screams
Soon, the attack from the evil cannon ceases. Xerosic looks upon the holographic display and the readings now confirm that Squishy was under their control just like Z-2.
"True success!" Xerosic says
Pleased with the results, Xerosic contacts Lysandre at the top of the tower through his wrist communicator as he stood against Draxon, Roxas, Ash, Alain, and their Pokémon.
"Lysandre, the other Zygarde is under our control now!" Xerosic says
The heroes heard the transmission and their eyes widened in shock.
"It can't be..." Ash gasps
"No..." Draxon gasps
Lysandre grins.
"My world of peace will be created much faster now. To see that his dark power could control even Legendary Pokémon certainly must be true." Lysandre says
"How can you say that peace has anything to do with this?" Ash asks
"What would you know about peace? You don't have a clue when it comes to the ugliness of this world! There once was a time when I reached out to help people. People who were in need, and suffering... And they rejoiced. But that didn't last long! They all began to take my help for granted and expected it like they had some sort of right! The people only became louder and louder with their demands and my help actually brought about their arrogance!" Lysandre says
Lysandre grips his right-hand into a fist in anger.
"Foolish, arrogant people... It would only be a matter of time before their world would be destroyed by their entitlement... That's why I'm going to create a new world! A world of peace! It is time for a new beginning! To create my utopian dream!" Lysandre says
Lysandre's eyes narrow as he glares at the heroes with such hate.
"But that dream... has no place for the likes of you!" Lysandre shouts
"Wait! Lysandre! There's something I still don't understand! How did you know about the Keyblade and Kingdom Hearts?" Draxon asks
"I tOlD hIm..." A dark voice says
Everyone froze as they heard the ominous voice. Suddenly, everything goes dark as black clouds blanket the skies, plunging Lumiose City and the entire Pokémon world into darkness, drawing the attention of both humans and Pokémon. Blue lightning illuminates the now dark skies with flashes of light and fills the air with it's loud, deafening thunder.
(Meanwhile)
In another part of Lumiose City, Sawyer, Tierno, Shauna, Trevor, and their Pokémon had just brought another group of people and Pokémon to Diantha and her Mega Gardevoir as they noticed the bizarre change in the weather.
"Hey! What's going on?" Sawyer asks
"Why did the sky grow dark all of a sudden?" Tierno asks
Diantha looks up as blue lightning flashes across the dark sky. She then gasps as she realized what was happening.
"No...! It's happening again!" Diantha gasps in horror
Sawyer, Tierno, Shauna, and Trevor glance toward Diantha, confused as to what she said.
"Huh?" The four Trainers say in unison
(Meanwhile)
Jessie, James, and Meowth were continuing their flight towards Lysandre Labs when they too noticed the sky had changed.
"Hey! What's up with the weather?" Meowth asks
"Haven't we seen something like this before?" James asks
"Beats me. Just keep going!" Jessie says
Prof. Sycamore, Serena, and Mairin look out the window of the helicopter, gazing out at the dark skies and the lightning that flashed with their ominous light.
"What's going on?" Mairin asks
"Do you think this could be because of Zygarde?" Serena asks
"No. I don't think any Pokémon is capable of something like this." Prof. Sycamore says
"What do you mean, professor?" Mairin asks
"Back when I visited Anistar City, Olympia told me something about this." Prof. Sycamore says
As he stared out into the blackened environment, Prof. Sycamore recalls his conversation with Lady Olympia.
(Flashback)
"The darkness I sensed... It is far beyond anything I have ever seen before. What I saw was a shadowy wraith of pure darkness with control over evil forces beyond comprehension. The skies darken with it's very presence. His ravenous hunger, his evil ambition, and his insane lust for power... His dark heart knows no bounds. Even the stars themselves fear him. This being... this Dark Lord... is darkness and fear incarnate. None of us will ever be safe so long as this evil exists!"
(Present time)
"So... that monster has finally arrived!" Prof. Sycamore growls
Serena and Mairin both share worried glances with each other.
(Back at Prism Tower)
At the top of Prism Tower, Lysandre looks around at the dark skies and an evil grin emerges on his face.
"He's here..." Lysandre says
In that moment, Lysandre looks straight at the heroes and began laughing maniacally.
"Heh heh heh. Ha ha ha! You're all doomed now! My master will destroy you all!" Lysandre laughs
Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, Alain, and their Pokémon look up to see a large mass of darkness forming in mid-air, swirling around above them. Slowly, the black mass begins to take shape in the form of a humanoid being. With a red and black flash of darkness, the Dark Echo makes it's appearance, hovering high above the heroes, staring down at them with it's glowing red eyes and it's spectral cloak flowing in the air. It's ghostly body emitting the red-black aura of darkness, the same of which currently enveloped both Squishy and Z-2.
"You! Of course you're involved in all this!" Draxon growls
"You're behind this?!" Ash growls
"What is that?!" Alain asks in horror
"This is my special friend who I mentioned earlier. An ancient being with more power than every single Pokémon in the world combined! It was he who granted me the power to control Zygarde and the Heartless. He who shared with me his knowledge about the Keyblade and Kingdom Hearts. He who promised me and Team Flare the future we desire!" Lysandre says
"A fUtUrE tHaT hAs No PlAcE fOr AnY oF yOu. EsPeCiAlLy YoU tWo... DrAxOn... RoXaS... TwO bRoKeN sHeLlS oF yOuR fOrMeR sElVeS. LaId WaStE aNd BaRe. EmPtY aNd AlOnE." The Dark Echo says
"We're not alone! We have friends who care about us! Ash and his friends. Alain. The Pokémon. They care about us! And we care about them! This world belongs to them! Not to Team Flare! Not to Lysandre! And certainly not you!" Draxon shouts
"Yeah! You tell 'em, Draxon!" Ash says
The Dark Echo points at the two Keyblade Wielders, specifically towards Draxon, with it's right-claw.
"YoU bElIeVe ThAt YoU aRe On ThE rIgHteOuS pAtH. ThAt YoU aRe A fOrCe FoR gOoD. BuT yOu ArE nOt. MuCh LiKe XiOn, YoU aNd RoXaS aRe MeReLy pUpPeTs. PaWnS uPoN tHe ChEsSbOaRd, ReAdY tO bE sAcRiFiCeD aNd DiScArDeD fRoM tHe BoArD." The Dark Echo says
The Dark Echo cups it's spectral skeleton hands together and conjures up a dark blue orb of darkness between it's palms. As it spreads it's hands further apart, the dark orb grows in size, crackling with blue electricity. Soon, the evil energy sphere was the size of a large ball.
"ThE tRuThS yOu SeEk WiLl NeVeR cOmE tO lIgHt. ThEy ShAlL fOrEvEr ReMaIn BuRiEd DeEp WiThIn ThE dArKnEsS. YoU wIlL nEvEr DiScOvEr ThE tRuTh Of YoUr ExIsTeNcE! AnD yOu WiLl NeVeR sEe YoUr FrIeNdS aGaIn!" The Dark Echo bellows
With a thrust of it's hands, the Dark Echo sends the dark orb flying towards the heroes. Draxon quickly summons Soul Calibur into his right-hand and throws it up at the evil energy sphere with a vertical toss, destroying it in a large explosion. The blast was so strong that everyone had to shield themselves from the gust of wind that followed shortly after.
"Get ready! These guys mean serious business!" Draxon says
The Dark Echo stretches it's hands out toward the heroes, commanding Lysandre to kill them.
"DeStRoY tHeSe FoOlIsH mOrTaLs, LySaNdRe! KiLl ThEm AlL aNd ThIs WoRlD sHaLl Be YoUrS tO rUlE!" The Dark Echo commands
Lysandre puts on his orange glasses and stretches his left-arm out. A golden device flies up to Lysandre and latches onto his forearm. It appeared to be a Mega Ring with a Key Stone on it's side. Lysandre takes out two Pokéballs from his suit.
"With pleasure, my lord." Lysandre says grinning maliciously
Lysandre throws his Pokéballs and sends out his Pyroar and red Gyarados onto the now-changed battlefield. Then, the Team Flare Leader touches the Key Stone on his ring and activates it.
"Now, Gyarados! Release your Mega Evolution energy!" Lysandre says
The Gyaradosite around Gyarados' neck shines brightly as the shiny Gyarados changes into it's Mega Evolved form. Alain touches his Key Stone and activates it.
"Respond to my touch, Key Stone! Beyond Evolution! Mega Evolve!" Alain says
The Charizardite on Charizard's neck glows with a bright light and Charizard Mega Evolves into Mega Charizard.
"'Kay! Let's do this!"
"Right!" Draxon and Roxas say in unison
And so, Draxon, Roxas, Mew, Ash, Pikachu, Alain, and their Pokémon all stand together as they prepare to face-off in an epic battle against the Dark Echo and Lysandre with lightning flashing dangerously close to the tower behind the two villains, illuminating their form. The epic showdown between Light and Darkness for the future of Kalos and the world of Pokémon was about to begin.
Author's Note: Darkness rises in Kalos! While Draxon, Roxas, and Ash confront Lysander atop Prism Tower, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie split up to their own tasks. And if things couldn't get any worse, Squishy has fallen under Team Flare's control, too! As Olympia foretold, the Dark Echo has arrived in Lumiose City to plunge Kalos and the rest of the Pokémon world into darkness. It is now revealed that the Dark Echo was the true mastermind behind Team Flare's operation and is solely responsible for Squishy and Z-2's corruption. Now, Draxon, Roxas, Ash, and Alain ready themselves for battle against the Dark Echo and Lysandre. Will Squishy and Z-2 be freed from Team Flare's control?
